Re: MOUNTAIN WALK ; job
Fair was up at the Silver Wolf guildhall, observing her new home all on her own. She wanted to get used to being there, and the first thing she needed to get used to was the cold. Fair was never fond of the cold. In fact, she was more of a beach girl, always filling her wardrobe with new swimsuits for her next beach trip. Now it seemed she needed to purchase warmer clothes so she didn’t freeze her ass off every time she was at the guild. The guild was quiet that day. Everyone was either off taking missions or just not hanging around in the guildhall, making it hard for her to socialize and get to know her guild members, which wasn’t really her plan at the time being so it was fine. She wore a thick jacket even when she was indoors. Honestly she felt like a balloon in this kind of clothing, but it wasn’t her priority to look her best right now. Her top priority was, as mentioned, to not freeze to death. The heavenly body sorceress stepped outside to take in some fresh air, which was actually more like slicing cold knives to be honest. It was always snowing on Phoenix Mountains, but she was properly dressed for such weather so she would survive.
Shivers ran down her spine as soon as she took a step outside of the guild building. She admired those people who could just walk out into the cold and be normal like it doesn’t feel like stepping into a freezer which it did for her. It was cold enough for her in the guildhall, and now she was out in the real cold, if you will. The best part was coming soon. She looked around to see if there were any of the cold resistant members of the guild outside like her, but was greeted by the eerie whistling of wind while mountain breezes seemed to slice into her skin. She folded her arms tightly, deciding to go back inside, because she wasn’t ready to face the ‘real cold’. Yeah, that’s what she was going to call it now. The cold outside, the real world ‘cold’. It was tough. Anyway she was just turning back to head back indoors, a frightening shriek from somewhere outside caught her off guard and caused her to slip. She landed on her back into the snow. It felt more like she fell straight into freezing water. At least she didn’t have a broken back now because the snow was thick and cushioned her fall. She hurriedly got up, climbing up the stairs so that she was at least still under the guild’s roof, and searched sharply for the source of the sound. Apparently someone else had fallen into the snow as well, just a few feet from where she did, which was probably the reason they made such a disturbing sound. The other person was getting up as well, seeming to be extremely fatigued as she kept falling over even after getting up. Fair saw that she was heading towards the guild. She couldn’t be one of the guild members. That was for sure.
