Let only the Just make a world of peace.
Silently at the base of the mountain at a small Garou Knight outpost a woman stood eyes serious and unflinching. A foot tapped the ground as she looked through a bag of what many could only assume to be survival gear. A brow furrowed as she glared at one of the younger knights, “Are you sure this is everything?” at attention the soldier nodded clear signs of anxiety on his face with darkness under his eyes, “Yes ma’am! We have given one of the standard issue survival packs!” A sigh the woman could not handle this kind of weakness in the survival gear supplied, “Enough food to last at least four days or more if rationed… I hope my partner has better luck with her own gear.” looking towards the direction they may be she would only shake her head as she would slam a hand into her pockets and pull out a small grey lacrima. Throwing it to the ground a white light would consume her as she was now in her specialized Amperage Armor and Adaptive Visor atop her head.

Swinging her hair back she would fix up her ponytail and look at the man with a scowl, “Make sure not a single thing of ours is touched before our return, I give it at least a week at minimum and at max two to escort them over, so if we do not turn up after three call a rescue from the Tundra Wolves.” Slowly she would make her way towards her partner a small touch pad in her hands powered by lacrima she would bring up her partners info, “Hikari Snow… Ice mage… Recent addition huh…” her voice was mute and more mumbled than anything as she walked and talked to herself slowly approaching the blue haired woman that was to be her partner. As she finally approached the first and most apparent thing about herself was the blue skin and black hair, and much like them her own yellow eyes with demon like slits would stand out along with it as she could not hide anything with her current attire she would look at Hikari with a purely business face. “Now Hikari I know we have never met but I suppose I should lay down some facts about my mission style.” Laying down the tablet with Hikaris info right in front of her she would nod, “If there is anything you can think of that would make the mission more difficult let me know, I strive for efficiency over perfection and as such need to know all factors so I may account for them before we head off to meet the client's.” Extending a hand she would continue to talk in a more by the book's voice as usual, “On another note since it would be rude not to offer, my name is Lydia Sauer.” With a final hidden grin she would hope that Hikari would accept the handshake, “So do please tell me what you have planned for the mission and how your supplies look.”

    Snowflake

    Ice Queen

A hike in the mountains. The thought ran through her head multiple times as the Ice wizard hummed a melody to herself whilst preparing for the journey to the Phoenix Mountains. The sun began to rose up between the clouds, rays of neon colours radiating through the entire sky, painting it red and orange. The windows were ajar, allowing the cold morning breeze to enter through the room and billowed out the white curtains by its entrance. For a moment, Snowflake pondered what she should bring for a journey that was going to take a couple of days. It was not just some expedition but a proper mission including some combat that she had been expecting, but alongside a comrade of her own guild – Garou Knights. Never met nor introduced to the person before, the young girl was clueless of her partner’s appearance, name and the type of magic she used.

First aid and food plays as the dire role of a harsh trip, thus, she packed her whole fortune of bread, snacks, not to mention – desserts, along with other items she might consider needed. Satisfied with the contents inside her bag pack, the girl slipped on her dark blue blazer before whipping sapphire strands of hair over her shoulder. The sunlight reflected against shiny frame of her Dust Rapier which was resting against the closet. The sound of metals clashing resounded throughout her room as Snowflake grabbed her weapon, adjusted around the belt of her skirt and finally departed her room.

The hours were still early, the streets of the town were empty and silent – barely any human being could be seen. Silvery orbs glistened under the sunlight as a sharp series of sounds produced from her wedged boots echoed around the area. Upon her arrival, she was greeted by a young woman together with a soldier who appeared to be her assistant, perhaps, standing at the entrance of the Phoenix Mountains. Blue-toned skin, dark hair and strange-coloured eyes. The Ice wizard flinched at hearing her real name from someone whom she barely knew of. Snowflake remained silent as her so-called partner, Lydia Sauer, continued to make comments and remarks. A pair of emotionless gray eyes glided towards the hand that was extended out for her to grab. For a split second, she battled her thoughts of whether she should hold her hand or not.

”First things first, address me as Snowflake. Please. I’m not fond of …. hearing my own name.” Her voice quiet and gentle, she reached out her partner's hand and grabbed it firmly. ”Pleasure to meet you, Lydia.” They quickly moved onto the topic of supplies they have at hand without wasting any time. ”I have bread, and desserts.” The young girl blurted, her expression blank as a barren desert.

Let only the Just make a world of peace.
She could see only from bodily reactions alone that Hikari, no Snowflake as she had asked to be called was one that did not take disrespect well. A tonal shift in her voice was apparent as she spoke next to a more calm tone, “Understood, I am simply working off of simple written knowledge and had no prior thoughts on what you would prefer to be called.” Listening to her quite brief list of supplies she would nod, “I expect the deserts to at least be capable of handling harsher conditions and could come in handy should we encounter anything bad.” with a quick wave of her hand the cadet would run off towards a carriage, “We will need to travel to the meeting place at least five kilometers near the top of the mountain at the last area typical modes of transportation can reach, Snowflake when we get into the carriage I would like to chat about our magics so that I may get a better feel for our options tactic wise.” Walking off her own mind began to race harder and harder as her heart seemed to pound for what the poor thing could. Seconds after she reached an area she felt was out of hearing range of Snowflake she would begin to breath heavily and wipe sweat from her head. ‘Was she judging me?! Her voice was controlled but they always judge… I will need to keep a close eye on it.’ taking a deep breath she would finish her own packing and head towards the carriage entering and sitting closer to a spot that hid her from the windows.

After the horses took them towards their destination she would begin to speak again this time in a much more relaxed and calm tone than uptight, “Now as I had spoken of before I would like to learn more about your magic.” pulling out another tablet she would show the contents of Snowflakes file which had very brief info and summarized her as ‘Ice Mage’. Setting the tablet back down she would extend a hand, “I apologize for my rudeness before, I would at least like to make amends. Alas though we do need to make sure we make use of the time before we get to the destination, I am a Thunder Demon Slayer… Most of my magic is about ranged combat and keeping myself as far from my enemies possible. If anything I can provide cover from great distances if needed.” Finishing her explanation she would show the tablet again with a crudely drawn picture of herself and snowflake with all the details of her own magic under her face, “If you do not mind telling me yours in turn I would like to learn more of you.”

    Snowflake

    Ice Queen

Mature – was her first impression of Lydia, seeing that she was the only one doing most of the speaking and planning for their upcoming mission. Snowflake had been observing her partner and in accordance to her actions, she realized that she respects this young woman, for being able to do plan ahead and scheme out the tactics they might require in the forthcoming situation. The Ice wizard was aware of the mission that they were supposed to escort their clients over to the other side of the mountain, which should not be that of a difficult task, hopefully. ”Mmm, alright.” The young girl nodded, following her steps towards the carriage that would help them reach their destination.

It was a tough ride, with a couple of bumps and dips due to the uneven lands of the mountains but it did not stop Snowflake from reaching into her bag to fetch a piece of bread and chunked on it hastily. The carriage finally came to a halt, as the girl pushed the doors open, revealing bright sunlight and the wildness of the gorse bushes and trees that grew in profusion all around the area. Magic, huh? The blue haired mage thought, stretching her arms and legs before gripping onto the straps of her bag pack.

Her eyes dazed, the young girl came into realization that her partner was indeed, a Demon Slayer. Snowflake watched her partner being immersed into what seemed to be like a device, her fingers swiping off the screen repeatedly. ”Mmm. It sounds like a nice magic.” Her thumb and index finger placed on her chin, she contemplated for a brief second and continued, ”We might make a good duo. My magic relies a lot on close combat, mostly fencing with a sword. I can give buffs too.” Eyes gliding down towards her Dust Rapier, she gently tapped the hilt of the sword. With just a brief description, she wondered if Lydia would be satisfied with her simple characterization of her magic. Being someone who really doesn’t talk much is hard, eh?

Let only the Just make a world of peace.
Listening to the explanation she could surmise a few things, one was that Snowflake was not much of a talker and two was that she could have a very strategic magic. With a nod she would see the clients in the distance and quickly turn to Snow, “Sounds good, focus most utility buffs on the clients to keep them mobile and keep them safe, offensive buffs I leave to your best discretion.” finishing her notes she would walk towards the couple one a short and frumpy woman with a body that one could attribute to a marshmallow and hair like burning flames. Her eyes were strong and serious but very judgmental in nature. The man was tall and more neutral in his build with short army grade brown hair and eyes that spoke a thousand words meaning he may not be one much for conversation and more of a one word type of guy. With a deep breath she would walk up carrying her own supplies as she would take a deep bow, “Hello my name is Lydia and this is my partner Snowflake, we will be your escorts for the next week or so.” she could almost feel the glares towards them as the woman scoffed, “Late I see! I told you they would be late! Should have hired someone from another guild! But no! You thought it would be good!” A soft sigh came from her as she nodded and looked to the woman, “I apologize but it made the most sense to make sure everyone was prepped ahead of time, that way nothing is out of place and we know that we will have the rations and supplies to make it the full seven days or more.” Another disgruntled scoff came from the woman her voice quiet this time as she would do one final double check on her supplies before turning to Snow, “Please try and hold tongue with the client, As much she seems…. Unsavory we will need to make sure to keep our mouths shut for now.”

With one final check she would point towards the summit a snow lined top now blazing with the orange rays of the sun as she would nod, “Our journey will take us on a three day hike to reach the summit, once we get past that area we will have the harder stretch of the path, this side is calm for sure but the other side is known the be infested with vulcans.” looking towards her partner she would smile and set a hand on the ground, “Judging from the feel of the earth even we are dealing with potential avalanches… So be CAREFUL… Other than that let us try and at least make the most of this rather than have it strictly business.” Apart from a few grumblings from the woman she could tell that things may just go smoothly after all.

    Snowflake

    Ice Queen

Heat rushed to her body the moment she placed her foot outside the carriage, followed by a gush of cool wind blowing into her face. The bangs that neatly framed her delicate features whisked before her eyes, her long strands of blue-slivery hair sailing behind her like a kite. The Ice wizard tugged at the hem of her blazer as she involuntarily glanced outwards, only to be greeted by middle-aged lovers with complete dissatisfaction on their faces. The woman began to protest about how they were not punctual and mentioned how they would prefer a different guild. Late? What do you think you are? We aren’t robots to turn up within a blink of an eye. Despite how she barely showed any emotions, her silver hues displayed enough threat and danger. The words she had been wanting to say at the woman were right on the edge of her tongue but was advised to not retort back anything back to their clients. ”Tch.” The girl produced a click at the roof of her tongue, clearly annoyed at the clients.

Her eyes followed the direction Lydia was pointing at; the snowcapped mountains. Behind the mountain peaks was a huge orb of yellow and orange emitting radiant rays of sunlight throughout the entire sky. Her attention shifted back to her partner as she urged her to keep her guard on since the roads were rough and it was possible that an avalanche would occur. Cobblestones and pebbles were lined neatly in the form of stairs as it corkscrewed around the huge mountain. Wooden rails were adorned at the side of the stairs to assist anyone up the mountains, and to protect them from falling over. Needless to say, Snowflake had to keep checking if the old man and woman were doing fairly good since it would be rather hard for them to climb such a large mountain through tough conditions.

The clangs of her Dust Rapier against its sheath resounded over the quiet morning. The further they climbed up the mountains, the scarier it was. There were barely any protection provided, apart from the unstable wooden railings after all. She assumed that this sort of journey would be a nightmare to someone who has a fear of heights.

Let only the Just make a world of peace.
Luck was on their side this day as they climbed higher and higher atop the rocky mountain she could tell that the cold would set in at some point but for now their first one to two days would be warmer than most. Making her way up she would pay attention to the sounds learning to tune out the subtle clang of her partners weapon as they climbed. Turning her head she could see the outpost they had come from as nothing more than a speck of dust among the sea of earth. Sounds of gasping and sighs could be heard as she turned her head towards the clientele and smiled, “I hope everything is fine for you, we will be heading towards a common outpost used by travelers, when there the day should be waning by then and i suggest we set up camp at that point.” Normally she would set up camp further up the mountain as it provided more cover from the weather, but with their stroke of luck with the heat and the fact she needed to make sure of the client's conditions this was the best course of action.

Once they had reached the end of the current path she would frown seeing nothing more than a rocky mess and broken areas of rail. Holding out a hand she would point to Snowflake, “Keep watch behind us.” Walking towards the broken mess of what used to be the campsite she could tell with ease that this was not a typical rock slide. Laying a hand on the ground she would sigh as she could tell the rocks were blown off ages ago and were not recent as she would quickly charge a hand with magic, “Pardon me but we need to clear the rocks off so please move back a bit.” Setting herself up behind the pile she would breath in and with a massive charge of magic building in her throat she would let out her Thunder Demons Quaking Rage. In moments a massive line of concentrated lightning would all but vaporize the rocks and scorch the railings where it touched until the once rubble filled site was now clear. Wiping her mouth she would sigh and set her pack onto the ground, “We camp here for now, Snowflake you get to set up whatever tent or pack you had prepared I will be keeping watch all night.” As much she did not want to admit it the only reason she would not sleep is because she did not trust the clients or Snowflake herself yet and preferred to keep an eye on them. With a somber sigh she would quickly bolt away and up the cliff side to check for more signs of potential rock slides leaving Snowflake and the clients to their business before she would return.

    Snowflake

    Ice Queen

Beads of perspiration began to form on her forehead which was then quickly cooled by the harsh gales that blew across the land. The dust that seeped from the rocks lifted up only to act as an obstacle to her eyes. Her attention drifted across the mountain as she ceased in her tracks for a brief second to enjoy the view of the sunset. The day had passed within a blink of an eye and the vibrant neon colours that were produced from the sun had distributed across the azure sky. After climbing a couple of steps, they fell upon a place where rocks and boulders were spewed across the area. Lydia insisted that she would clear up the area to allow themselves to camp at the location for tonight. Her eyes shifted back to the sky once again, realizing that it was getting dark. The mages would have no trouble continuing the journey but the old couple seemed to be exhausted. The young girl nodded, agreeing with Lydia to take a rest for the night and proceed on the rest of the trip the next day.

”Please wait a moment, I’ll set up the tents.” Snowflake uttered, her tone flat yet gentle, so as the same for her eyes. Bending down, she slipped her bag off her shoulder and began rummaging through the mess to search for the tents she had packed this morning. Fortunately enough, the girl had brought two tents; one for the mages and the other one for the clients, large enough for at least three people to fit in. ”Have a good rest. We’ll wake up you tomorrow early before we set off.” Her eyes trailed off into a distance and spotted Lydia up the cliff, keeping watch for the night. The blue haired girl stared up at her partner for a while until she spoke, quiet but loud enough for her to hear, ”Come take a rest if you feel tired.” The Ice wizard was not necessarily being nice or whatsoever, but felt that she needed to say something to her partner. After all, both of them are from the same guild.

Slipping through the tent, the girl began to undress herself into much warmer and comfortable clothes before she dug into her bread and desserts. It was surprising how she never actually gained that much weight despite the amount of food she eats every day. A sigh of content escaped her lips, followed by a slight movement of her hand to flip her sapphire hair over her shoulder as she threw herself under the sleeping bag and drifted off to sleep.

Storm and Snow of the Mountain [Job] Empty Re: Storm and Snow of the Mountain [Job]

Let only the Just make a world of peace.
‘Rest’ she heard her partner speak it before heading off to sleep herself, but to Lydia the very idea right now while tempting was not an option for her. In the few moments she was able to scout she could see critters all around and ones that she could not account for. Standing at the top of the cliff she would sigh laying herself back onto the side as she would stare into the star filled sky. Clouds serene and almost invisible in this moonless night drifted across the sky only the light of stars to shine on them. It was in these mountains that she had made her home and was one of the reasons that she knew them so well. As she decided to keep watch she attempted to remain awake best she could looking around she could not doubt that there would be problems with critters but to the best of her knowledge they were relatively harmless. A knife danced in her hands as she kept her watch bored out of her mind when in a few moments of lapsed control she fell asleep on the rock face.

Waking up was not something she enjoyed be it from the less than comforting rock bed or the incessant screaming of the woman in rage as her yellow eyes bloodshot from her own lack of sleep began to stir. She could hear faint parts of the yelling the woman was doing, “I BET YOU DID IT!... STEAL!....FOOD!....CRUMBS!...” She could not catch most of it due to drifting off occasionally but what WAS clear to her was that she needed to play medium for a bit as she brushed the dust from herself not even bothering to fix her hair. Jumping from her spot she would land in front of the woman facing her partner apparent bloodshot yellow eyes and messy dust covered hair. Turning to the woman she would groggily speak, “What is the problem?” In a torrent of grunts and rage she was at least able to get the gist, “Oh… So you think my partner stole your food because of the crumbs in her tent?” looking back to Snowflake she would sigh and look at the woman, “Look here this mountain is crawling with animals all looking for food, So let me tell you this now, you can take MY rations… I don’t really care just shut up for a bit before I flip my shit and we BOTH have problems… If anything just lock your tents doubly so next time…” barely acknowledging her partner she would walk over to her bag and bring out an electric kettle and some green tea looking to all three of her trips companions, “Now then, anyone for some tea before we depart?”

    Snowflake

    Ice Queen

The sunlight pierced through the gap between the entrance of the tent, beaming down on her pale face. ”Nnng.” The young Garou Knight let out a small groan as she fluttered her eyelashes open. With her hands sprawled beside her, she stared up at ceiling of her tent and her thoughts wandered off almost immediately. Being not a morning person, she was reluctant to get out of her sleeping bag, not to mention – she was struggling to remain awake. A yawn escaped her lips, followed by massive stretch of her hands and legs. The Ice mage began to dress herself up; a white blouse with ruffles, a blazer and a short skirt accented with dark blue. Hastily, Snowflake slipped into her thigh-high white socks and finished her attire with black wedged boots.

The scream from her client caught her attention, causing her to barge out of her tent. Snowflake was confused as to why she was making a big fuss until the woman accused her of stealing their bread. Her expression unfazed, she placed her hand on her hip, blue strands of hair gently slipping over her shoulders. ”Let me tell you. If you’re bothered that much, you can take all my edibles, for all I care. I won’t die without eating for a day or two, unlike you weaklings.” She raised her chin, peering down at them through her thick dark eyelashes, her eyes displaying nothing but disgust. ”With your plump body, I assume you might even need more than the rations I have, won’t you?” The woman finally reacted to her comment, with her fists balled to her side. It was ridiculous how they were making up an act, despite how they knew they won’t be able to land a finger on the members of Garou Knights. ”Either way, I don’t intend to help you people out if you’re making a big fuss about everything.” Heat rushed to the woman’s face as she avoided her eye contact and walked away grumpily.

The girl decided not to bother insulting the woman anymore and turned around swiftly with a flip of her hair, where a French braid neatly rested on her crown. Her partner was evidently irritated at their clients as well, since she had made it obvious on how annoyed she was at the situation. ”Green tea? Sure, why not?” Snowflake grabbed the hilt of her Dust Rapier and seated herself beside her partner. A pang of nostalgia hit her and she recalled someone mentioning to her that having green tea in the morning helps you wake up. How surprising.

Let only the Just make a world of peace.
Looking to her partner she would nod before turning her head to the skies seeming to be cloudy this day. With a sigh she would rub her eyes not wanting to admit she slept outside before she began to charge the kettle. Leaning over to grab some bottles of water from her pack she would fumble one as it spilt into the dusty mountain side. A loud groan from her would break the silence as she turned to Snowflake, “Look I am going to be blunt, I trust that you did not steal anything but I want to hear it from you right here and right now.” Opening out a palm of her hand she would show Snowflake a small tea bag that looked like it was custom made over something store bought, “I hope you enjoy the tea, it is my own special blend of homegrown herbs here in the mountains.” Pointing to the western horizon she would smile at Snow, “I live down that way in a cabin I built myself, Lived alone for the longest time.” As the water would begin to boil she would pull two styrofoam cups from the bag and quickly hand one to Snowflake as she put her tea bag in her own cup and poured the water waiting on Snowflake to do the same.

Once they had had their tea and gotten packed they would begin their travels once more slowly making their way towards the peak of the mountains. As they made their way a towards a new camp point a soft sigh would escape her lips and she would turn to the clients, “From where we are at your pace this will take around three more days to reach the summit… I apologize but with that we will need to pick up the pace and with less… Stops…” Looking to the woman who was midway through what seemed to be a bar of candy she would only shake her head as the woman glared. Looking over to her partner she would lean in and speak softly, “We are approaching avalanche area… This place may be warm but the snow can pile down fast so be careful.” With a sigh they would continue their walk until reaching the next camp site and afterwards reach another leading them three days in.

    Snowflake

    Ice Queen

”I don’t see why I should steal anything.”

Words sprung out of her rosy lips, harsh and cold, but that was what she wanted to express. Accusations were thrown at her, first her client and now her partner, although she could care less of what they think about her. Even as a kid, children did not like to hang out with her nor even have a conversation, not to mention – her relatives, which was the mere reason why she stopped bothering to concern herself over anyone else when they didn’t even have the desire to talk to her. Silver eyes dazed, she stared out into the horizon, the morning sun slowly climbing over the skyline as hints of neon yellow and orange spread wildly throughout the endless sky.

Her mind lost in her thoughts, she was quite oblivious to Lydia speaking to her until her voice finally reached into her head. Her eyes glided down to a tea bag that her partner had displayed it for her as the scent of the crushed leaves rose into her nose. ”It smells nice.” Following to the direction of Lydia’s pointed finger, Snowflake presumed that the location was around Phoenix Mountains. The Ice mage quietly listened to her partner as she spoke about herself, all the while preparing a kettle for the both of them. A thought crossed her mind; that Lydia must be content of living alone for such a long time, and grabbed ahold of the cup that was handed out to her. ”Thank you.”

Snowflake wrapped both of her hands around the cup, the warmth of the boiling water settling into her skin and soothed her body. It was rather cold in the morning, especially the early hours. Plumes of steam rose up from her cup and dispersed into the sky as she took a small sip from the tea. She liked it. It was as good as the ones she had back in her kingdom when she had to drink one every afternoon. The good old days. This was the first time she had drank any tea since she left her kingdom to enter Fiore, and honestly, she enjoyed it. All of them would begin packing, while Snowflake had to take care of the tents and neatly folded them back into her backpack.

The couple looked disappointed after Lydia made the comment of making less stops, but Snowflake shrugged them off. Their clients were definitely idle and inactive ones but nevertheless, they proceeded onto their way, climbing up the stairs, hills and rocks, just so they could reach the next camp site.

Let only the Just make a world of peace.
Finally the reached the campsite no sooner than dusk began to reach them as the once hot air of the days turned cold and brisk once more. As the clients huff and puffed panting so heavily you could almost think them dying on their feet a certain scent caught her nose. Her head would snap around quickly searching for the source as lightning arced from her hands to the ground, “We have Vulcans… Fresh scent…” Looking around she could not spy them or hear them but she knew that the scent was fresh and that sent her into a panic, “Don’t unpack tents… We are going to have to expressly use sleeping bags… Vulcans may destroy the tents if they come back.” Looking around she could not help but feel paranoid when an idea sprung in her head. Looking to the client she would smile and speak softly, “If you do not mind we are gonna leave you two for a bit while we go Vulcan hunting, please stay safe we will not be too far away~” Quickly and with purpose she would Snowflake set down her stuff and come with her into the forest before quickly ending up nearly thirty meters away from the campsite. “Alright now we wait here and use the clients as bait,  which you might say is bad but they would never come if they saw two people like us there.”

Quickly she would activate her visor as it closed down over her eyes and in almost an instant cameras activated and melded with her vision giving her a full three hundred and sixty degree field of view around herself. With ease she would switch to the Thermal Camera quickly getting a good view of those at the camp and even seeing Snowflake herself, “When I speak we will be dashing in to deal with the Vulcans..." Keeping an eye out she would spy movement, “Scan Visor activate.” Soon all her other visors would deactivate and all vision was focused forwards as soon both clients were outlined red and so were three enemies approaching from the path they had taken to get there, “Three tangos! Moving from the path try and cut them off!” Quickly she would soon be surrounded by lightning as she was rooted in place thousands of tiny arcs of lightning touching the ground. Taking a deep breath she would charge lightning into her mouth at full power and unleash a massive blast of pure white lightning towards the Vulcans travelling a full 65 meters before stopping and tearing all three Vulcans off the path and into a ditch on the other side leaving them about 45 meters away from them. Unrooting herself from her spot she would deactivate the visor and look to her partner, “Go finish them off they are about fifteen meters off the path i tore them off it I will go deal with the clients, you got this Snowflake.” she had to admit she was terrible at helping people feel good about themselves but she tried and quickly with almost double speed she took off towards the clients.

    Snowflake

    Ice Queen

The sky was getting darker and darker, as the four of them continued their journey up the mountain. Clouds began to clear up and the bright yellow orb would set behind the snow-capped mountains and down the horizon. The Ice wizard glanced down the mountain, a vicinity of verdant trees covering the entire area. They were far up on the mountains that the structures on the ground almost resembled her to those of the size of ants. Strands of cerulean hair billowed out in the air and glistened upon catching sunlight. The breeze was cold, yet gentle, caressing her face each step she made over her journey. Grasping the situation of the clients, they never seemed to have such a long trip before, but neither did she, however, the couple were struggling more than she was. The mission was exhausting but the girl was distracted with such beautiful views displayed to her, thus, not noticing how long they had been walking.

The voice of her partner mentioning ’Vulcans’ attracted her attention and her head instantly snapped towards her direction. ”Mhm, I think that’s a good idea.” she’d agree on taking a rest without setting up the tents. Vulcans were dangerous species, especially for humans. The clients were apparently reluctant of them being left alone but there was no other choice for them to make. The young girl slipped her bag pack off her shoulder, only to leave it with the client and silently departed with Lydia into the forest. Using their clients as bait was a smart idea provided from Lydia, but it would put their clients into a dangerous situation, although she did not care much about them nor their well-beings. ”That’s fine. We just need to get the Vulcans anyway.”

Two shining arrogant eyes had established dominance over her face, for she had been waiting for the moment to finally try out her abilities. Imperfect her magic may be, however, she had enough confidence in herself to face any enemies. While her partner looks out for any Vulcans that might have taken the bait, Snowflake, on the other side was preparing to throw her attacks. With her fingers wrapped around the hilt of her Dust Rapier, she was ready for any moment for Lydia to call out the move. Once she did, the Ice wizard quickly unsheathed her sword and pointed it forwards, summoning a huge glyph in front of her.

    Glayze.

Upon the soft murmur of the spell’s name, she created a fog that clouds the vision of everyone that was within the area. The temperature would gradually drop until it was freezing cold and then she would summon another glyph under her feet with a swift movement of her sword. With the speed boost provided by her glyph, the girl disappeared rather quickly from the side of her partner and dashed towards the Vulcans as if she was skating on ice. A clang of swords echoed through the area followed by a scream from the woman. Her movements were swift and nimble, it would be rather hard for people to follow her with bare eyes, excluding her partner. Snowflake moved around the enemies briskly, stabbing her Dust Rapier at their vital areas. With the advantage of a cloudy vision, her enemies were likely to not be able to spot her easily.

The fog was finally starting to clear up and the Vulcans, including her client came back into vision. Shock and fear was written all over the couple’s face as they clung to one another like caterpillars. "It’s a woman!” A nasty smirk was plastered on one of the Vulcans’ faces. ”So, you like women.” she stated, her free arm clasped behind her back while her sword was pointed towards them. ”A good reason for me to end your lives.” the girl murmured, her voice nothing but a husky soprano. The Vulcans launched themselves at her as she quickly attempted to create a distance between herself and the enemies to summon another spell. Albeit, one of the Vulcans was lucky enough to land a rather large scrape on her skin. She didn’t seem to be largely affected by the wound, nevertheless as she created another glyph of cyan colour.

    Aere.

She called, as she swiped her sword in an ‘X’ motion before producing a strong slash of wind that threw her opponents into the distance. They were completely injured, both from Lydia’s strong discharges of lightning and Snowflake’s quick thrusts.

Let only the Just make a world of peace.
Moments went by fast and she could feel the massive amount of magic power coming from her partner and a smile grew on her face. Walking up to the client's fear and terror were apparent on their faces as she would extend a hand, “I apologize I never expected them to boldly go on the path towards you, luckily we should be capable of reaching the end of our journey quickly!” One thing she had not told them nor her partner was that they had been taking a much faster route towards the other side, one that the slavers she was sold to used to use all the time before it was discovered. In an attempt to hide their path they blew apart the pathway but she had reopened it years later to escape her own captors. With a grand sigh she would turn to her partner and throw them a bottle of water from her own pack a smile on her face, “Good job Snowflake, we do not have much further mostly just a cut through the mountain itself, won’t take us too long if we are lucky!” looking towards where she knew it was she could smell something faint from the vulcans but she would prefer to wait.

After a quick night's rest they would pack up the clients silent and to be honest about ready to just leave them and get on their way. Walking towards the cave they would see a grand entrance almost unlike anything they had seen before one that looked like perhaps a demon had crawled deep from within and tore out everything in its way, claw marks lined the entrance and scorch marks were evident near the top meaning someone with a keen eye could tell this used to be closed. Looking to her clients gawking in fear she would slap their backs and smile, “Don’t worry this will be easy, here!” she would throw a torch to both Snowflake and the couple and smile as she turned on her visor to thermal. Walking in the place was pretty much pitch black and the walls seemed far away from them as they travelled through, “Try not to touch the walls by the way or look at em.” As they would walk the wife in her usual spout of defiance quickly held to torch towards it seeing what looked like old dried blood and hand marks of humans causing her to scream, “Where the HELL are you taking us?!” looking back to the woman she would shake her head, “This place used to be a transport tunnel for slavers all across Fiore before the Rune Knights found out, anonymous tip if you were wondering, anyways once they were found out they lured a bunch of Rune Knights deep in and caved in the entrances, later on they were opened up by a few looking for refuge.” She had told them half truths all around, she was the one that ratted the slavers out and she was the one that reopened the path. As they finally reached the end of the line and light was in sight from behind the sounds of scoffing and laughing were heard, “Now now what are a bunch of ladies doing here all alone? Want to fork over some money? Or perhaps your heads for killing our Vulcans?” Turning her head she could tell right away they were bandits and a great glare of hate ran towards them, “Is that so?”

    Snowflake

    Ice Queen

Blood began to drip down her arm from the wound the Vulcan had opened. It was a bit swollen but Snowflake didn’t seem to be bothered by it that much. With a slight twirl of her Dust Rapier, the girl placed her weapon back into its sheath. It was getting darker, but according to Lydia they were almost arriving to their destination. Silently nodding at her partner, the girl reached for her bag pack, sliding it back onto her shoulders. Silver eyes darted over to the pair of couple who was struck with fear. ”Are you guys coming or what?” she murmured, her voice coated with a layer of ice before she followed behind Lydia. Apparently, her partner knew the shortcuts of the area and Snowflake would just follow her lead.

The shadow of the cave loomed above her head, and apparently, according to Lydia, this was the shortest passage to the other side of the mountain. There was an odd aura about the cave but she decided to push it back to the back of her mind. The girl grabbed the torch that was handed over to her and switched it on. Deep lines of claw marks were buried under the walls of the cave and that only made Snow more curious about where they were going, although the couple seemed to be frightened to death by the sight before their eyes.

The woman, no doubt, began throwing questions at them. Snowflake decided to neglect her all the way until they reach their destination, otherwise it would just be a mere distraction to her. Her wedged boots thumped against the hard floor of the cave, her torch beaming straight ahead as she looked out for any intruders. Her footsteps suddenly came to a halt the moment she heard an unknown voice – no, there were a bunch of them and they were most definitely a pack of bandits. The girl pulled out her weapon from its sheath once again and pointed it forwards, although she was reluctant since the night was falling and if they decided to fight, they would just have to wait out another day to reach to the other side. ”We don’t have that much time to fight them.”

In the brief few moments she had to think a few options ran through her head but the one that made the most logical sense was weeded from the rest. In a split seconds time she was behind on of the enemies a knife in hand as a trail of white lightning was left behind her. In those few seconds she had more than enough time to grab one of the bandits by the arm and quickly swing him above her and throw them into their allies. Within said moment she would turn and look to Snowflake and quickly scream out at her to run hoping dear god hoping she would do it. If in that split second her ally listened and took the clients and ran a different part would come out of her. Looking at the bandits her eyes which once were filled with expression and thought now went dead cold. That smile she tended to keep on her face at the worst of times drained away till all that was left was a blank grimace towards those bandits. Taking a step back from the bandits as they tried as they might to get back up a smile would come across her face but less so a happy and more a sadistic smile, “So let me see if I have this right, You used the Vulcans to kill people, Killed anyone who survived, stole their jewels and belongings, threatened two officers and expect to live?” closing the visors vision on all five of them she would grin and back off at least 25m away in the blink of an eye to them. “I sentence you five, to death, your execution method.” one of the smarmier little bandits would pipe up quickly, “Lightning?” A grim smile looked back at the bandit, “No, Gravity.” Aiming at the roof of the cave they were in a loud and bloodcurdling scream would echo back to the clients and Snowflake.

In the few moments as the rumbling from what many would assume to be spells Lydia would walk from the darkness a familiar hum of her visor. In the few moments she would enter their sight line that same expression as before would almost seem to melt away to anyone that was watching her and she would speak calmly, “I have dealt with the bandits, however there is no way back anymore.” Looking at her in shock the woman would point a finger shaking in terror, “A-Arn’t you a cop?! Are you not supposed to take them in for ARREST?” almost without mercy a knife would be out and a dark stare would be towards the woman, “Pardon my speaking this time but they owned the Vulcans, this means they not only killed people, but stole their belongings, and threatened our lives, I simply did what was in our best interest and did the punishment here.” putting away her knife she would look to Snow with the same emotion filled eyes as before, “Okay so… We need to RUN… Odds are that cave in will reach us in aboooooooout…. NOW.” grabbing both the clients and lifting them with ease she would take off as the rumbling in the cave only got worse.

    Snowflake

    Ice Queen

A second ago; they were standing, preparing to fight against the bandits and the next moment, Lydia rushed towards the bandits, screaming behind her and demanded for the remaining three of them to run. Now, why was Snowflake supposed to run? She was certainly not someone to quit a battle nor did she wanted to abandon her comrade as well. However, the urge she felt from Lydia caused her to drag her clients by their collars and sprinted back to the entrance of the cave. With her agility, there was no doubt she could escape hastily without any of their lives in danger. The Ice wizard threw the two of them back on the ground when she was certain that they were safe and swiped the dust off her hands. Her eyes would stare back into the cave, where screams resounded and silently hoped that her fellow partner was safe.

The cave began to rumble and cracks emerged onto the walls of the structure before the rocks collapsed onto the ground. Since the cave was completely destroyed, their passage was blocked at well, which was not a good sign. Nevertheless, the bandits were easily taken care of, so that’s one less thing to worry. While her thoughts were all jumbled up, the rumble grew louder as her bright grey eyes shifted upwards, only to see a mass of snow sliding down the mountains. ”Crap.” The girl muttered under her breath before she darted as fast as she could before they would all be buried under the snow.

Through the gorses of bushes and dense thickets of trees pressing all around them, they would run, trying to escape from the rocks and snow that threatened to bury them. Soon after a lot of running and dashing, Snowflake halted in her steps to take a sharp and long intakes of breath. ”Okay..” Unable to speak and out of breath, her words were cut short. ”I think … we’re safe here.” Her chest rose and fell between each breaths, her heart pounding against her rib cage and almost felt as if her heart was going to lunge out of her throat. ”… Horrific.” The word escaped her lips – the only word that could describe the situation they were in at hand, although they managed to escape alive.

Let only the Just make a world of peace.
In the few moments of rest she had at the end of their desperate bid to survive the avalanche she would sigh and slowly turn to Snow, “You… Would make an excellent… Partner in crime…” Coughing she would wipe dust and snow from her clothes and turn to the clients, “Other side of the mountain! As promised!” looking to their terrified expressions she would only shake her head, “Hey it is not too bad! You are here alive and well! Infact you still have your supplies and we are halfway down the short side of the mountain.” Looking across the horizon dusk was settling in as a smile would come from her and she would look to Snow, “You could be someone I would not mind doing more things like this with.” and in a few moments the woman would pipe up quickly, “I pray for anyone who ends up in your care.” With a hearty laugh she would grin quickly rising and setting a pack down for the couple.

In the next night they would sleep easy slowly making their way down the mountain with ease as the tales of what they had witnessed would haunt them forever. Once they reached the knights outpost they would begin to prepare a transportation lacrima for Snowflake a yawn coming from Lydia herself, “Well seems you are heading back to base! Hope you have my side of the report! Should be in the datapad I gave you.” Shaking her head she would smile, “Never thought I would find someone I could respect so much, Well swing by the mountains anytime! I would be glad to share some tea with you again.” Waving off she herself would turn to the mountains and smile making her own journey back to her home deep in the mountains.

    Snowflake

    Ice Queen

    Partner In Crime?

The fellow Garou Knight was completely stunned by the comment her partner had made upon her. In fact, it was the first compliment she ever received from someone whom she just met a couple of days ago. The girl looked absent-minded as usual, however, she was repeating the word Lydia had spoken to her in her head. Quite a shock for her, isn’t it? They would continue their way onto the other side of the mountain after everything that had happened. As they marched along the way, Lydia mentioned that she wouldn’t mind doing another mission with her again. Unsure what to say, the girl stared at the ground nervously for a brief moment, thinking up of a proper answer to reply. ”Me too.” she uttered quietly. Now, what would you expect from someone who has zero social skills and a terrible attitude? Just a short answer would suffice – and she certainly meant what she said.

After sending their clients off to their destination, the two mages would take a rest for the day before deciding to proceed back to their homes. Since Lydia lived in the mountains, it was up to Snowflake to deliver the report back to their guild. ”Mhm. I had a lot of fun.” The girl nodded, clutching onto the device Lydia had given it to her. She would watch her partner depart further into the mountains, her silhouette dimming growing faint each moment. With a hint of a smile, the girl whispered to herself successfully, ”A new comrade made.”
