A Harrowing Holiday - Page 2 Empty Re: A Harrowing Holiday

Post by Yuvon 15th January 2019, 9:20 am

The message from the inkling proved reasonable, but now that the enemy had shown themselves in front of them, things got so much easier than they had to be. Yuvon didn’t feel any effect from the smoke, but he made sure to not inhale it in case if it was poisonous. Other than that, he simply stepped back a few feet to try and clear the smoke off of him. It was annoying and prevented him from eyeing his enemy… maybe they were on the run? Maybe this was a distraction to make an escape from such a powerful group of wizards?

Next, he felt snowballs pushing him aback. He was still in the middle of a battle, so the librarian would not waver by a mere smoke. He searched in his own memory of something useful for the smoke and the upcoming elves - unfortunately, he held little knowledge of antidotes, but he did possess a space-altering spell that could let him attack several of the elves at once. He was battle-ready, in his proud, Minstrelian stance with power surging out through his fingertips when…

    Oh god no…

It couldn’t be. In his most dire state and moment of battle, he was found by Song… naked? Naked? NAKED? Why was that?! Did the smoke remove his clothes from him just like that?! In his entire life, he had never witnessed this… humiliation. It was threatening his honor. It was triggering him.

With a sweep, he removed the pink cloud and disappeared. He was next seen picking up the Christmas Tree by its roots and swinging it around his position with a dragon throw, launching it towards another tree across a polar bear that was targeting Leona. The elves were next; they were fended off by the harpy companions of his Guildmaster, in which Yuvon punched the air in front of him. A magic circle caught his hand and teleported it to multiple spaces at once, each in front of an elf’s face. Many of the elves got sucker-punched by the librarian, and they lost their footholds in an instant. He would have charged after them, but the lack of clothes infuriated him. His left eye was blood-shot red and left a red fog in its track, and its corrupting scar on his face’s left side was… nevermind, the red fog did a good job covering most of his face. His secret face reveal shenanigan was still up- wait, this didn’t mean anything for now! He had to help out!

A large tinsel wrapped around his naked body and held him still for a moment - this was to be preferred given the nudity. It was also lucky as Yuvon got an idea; the black orb that he released at the Christmas Tree earlier was still in use, and he commanded it to cut off the tinsel that was wrapping around his legs and torso. It did so with precision, and the tree felt badly hurt by the sudden attack that set Yuvon free once again. Now, he had a piece of tinsel that he delicately adjusted around his waist and lower parts, until it reached down to his knees. This. Should. Suffice. As. Clothes.

He was moving around with fierce speed to confuse the tree. It was dead-set on grabbing him again and launch its decorations at him like throwing knives. Unfortunately, they failed to hit the ‘exposed’ wizard who launched it several meters back with a kick. He should knock this tree out in a hurry, but could trees be knocked out? Was he fighting in vain? It proved to at least have a conscience of its own, so because of his worrying thought, he decided to do something else. It was time to go supportive.

Leona looked like she could need a boost. He replicated her own Wind Blast and sent a gust of wind to make space by pushing each bear back. His Memory-Make allowed him to imitate any spell, indeed. This spell would allow him to approach Leona in a swift moment, holding up an inviting hand. “Grab my hand for a moment, Leona,” he invited her, “I’ll push your magic to even greater heights!” If she willingly did what he asked, she would feel an intense surge of magical power erupt from her very core, causing her wind and magical affinities to be much easier to cast and do much more than they could do now.

He hurried over to Song who was also efficient in boosting the abilities of others, but with so much snow on her face, he found it necessary to give her a helping hand too. A snow ball, however, hit him in the head and removed a lot of the red smoke from his left eye that covered his face. In Song’s presence, though, he couldn’t care less about that and merely worried for his adorable guildmate. “Here, Song!” he warned as he clapped her shoulder gently, revealing a supportive magic circle on the spot, “Your spells will be easier to cast now! Now, go! We can force them to surrender soon enough…!”

One of the bears charged towards him as it left the other back with Leona. Yuvon turned around and clapped the dirty floor with his hands and summoned a Seeker; this was a new spell of his, totally original, believe it. The Seeker’s face was contorted into that of an octopus-like, hydra-kraken-combination… it was a little frightening. However, Yuvon’s mask proved it to serve under him as it released an acidic wave on the polar bear.

He fought for vengeance. He fought to protect. He fought for his lost clothes and for his guild and the alliance. He. Was. Pissed.

    Adalinda

    The Iron Dragon Slayer

When song blew up on her, Adalinda's blue eyes glared at her. "Excuse me? You were the one who asked if I 'had that sort of problem too' and asked if I 'was born to kill too'. Before you snap at someone, why not check yourself first with what you say." Adalinda huffed a bit to the spider girl. Her voice didn't raise at all, being even and monotone for that moment of talking to the spider girl. 'Your parent voice is coming out again, little one.' Veles snickered at her. 'But that also isn't your child.' 'Okay? I won't take being yelled at by someone for something I didn't do besides answer the question, or Tammy answered for me.' When it came to her explanation of a dragon slayer, she shrugged her shoulders. "That's how I was taught what a dragon slayer was." She simply said. Adalinda looks over to the guy who was rather quiet compared to the rest of them, and twitches her lip a bit. She heard that sigh he gave. She wanted to do something to cheer him up, but she didn't know what. She wondered what it was he had typed out on his device thing, wondering if knowing that would have helped her in this little scenario.

When she went to go fight, she barely noticed the others and how they were fighting. But she did notice the guy, Yuvon, suddenly become naked after a tree had a poof of pink suddenly blow up on him. "Get some clothes on will you?! This is no time to play around! Unless you're trying to distract these damned bears with your body!" She shouts as she uses her fan to smack a few bears back with her fan, nearly being hit with another paw. She was snickering as she felt she nearly bypassed that second paw. "C'mon! That's the best you can do?!" She taunts the bears as she cackles a bit. She was still trying to keep herself in check... maybe she should let Veles take over since he could make her stronger. Probably even strong enough to kick a few of these bears butts for her? 'I'm not your lackey...' 'But you are family.' Adalinda was snickering to herself as she heard Veles starting to grumble that he didn't feel like dealing with this right now.

Tamaria flew into the trees and quickly noticed the quiet guy weaving about the elves a short distance from the bears. If anything she could help him out. She quickly flung herself down and used the lit fire scabbard of the sword to block a snowball being flung at him, and grins a bit. "Need some help?" She questioned him as she let her sword connect with that of a candy cane sword. "You little buggers are rather annoying..." She couldn't help but say as there were plenty around them. Where did this mass of elves begin and end?! The purple little exceed looked up as help seemed to come their way, and she grinned a bit. "Thanks!" She calls out and looks over to Garnet. "Hey! What is it you're trying to do? Lemme help out, okay?" The cat winks as she fluttered near him, hoping no elves would try to attack from behind, she did have her ears slightly leaning back to hear if something was coming from behind her.

Adalinda really didn't think any common sense could be talked into these bears... and that trying to do that wouldn't be fun either... Either that, or it was Veles' thoughts seeping in with hers. She couldn't tell half the time anymore with him. She was honestly trying her hardest to not hurt these bears too much just yet, and was trying to distract them away from the direction of the city. They were close enough, but she didn't want them any closer. As she hears Leona yelling about a skirt, she growls a little. "Ask the bear if he cares? Think he cares my white uniform is dirty because of them pawing at me?" She chortles to her and let up a light gasp. Veles had enough of her taking her sweet time trying to not harm these bears. Adalinda's blue eyes turned into that of slits and her voice seemed to deepen a bit, slightly reverberating. "Child... You need to actually use your strength... These bears are fine with being hurt... Knock them out..." He says as he made Ada's hand into a fist and threw a heavy fist right at the closest bears face, hitting it just hard enough that the bear was knocked out. That was only partially luck. They weren't expecting the sudden mass of strength that Veles had given Adalinda, or the fact that he also activated her iron hands and strengthened her body more. The hit that Veles did, only was strong enough to knock out the bear. He knew when he could go overboard, and knew how to control himself and his strength.

Veles had looked over when Yuvon was throwing trees and going on what seemed like a rampage over him becoming naked. "You've surrounded yourself with most appropriate companions, little one." Veles' voice reverberates to his host, despite her not being in control and being able to fully respond to him. He then quickly jumps to the side as another bear came to attack him. "I'll do one thing your way... human, I won't roar on these beasts... simply because of that damn city being nearby." He says as he throws Adalinda's fist at another bear. It only hit it's side, but then he had an idea and was suddenly on the bears back. He was going to use the bear as bait. Now a couple more bears were working on coming after him while he was on top of one of their companions. What made it better, was this bear could currently not move as he controlled Adalinda's earlier made iron snakes to dig underground and trap this bear into place by one front paw, and one back paw. She was useful in her spells some times, and this was one of them. Veles was standing on the bear's back as it was trying to buck away from him, as well as it's companions as three bears charged and attacked. Veles managed to jump out of the way just as the bears all knocked out their comrade, making him snicker a bit. Two bears down for the count now. The snakes went after another bear as Veles charged after one of the other bears, smashing his fist hard into its side for a crunch to be heard as he knew he got some bone there, and that it hurt. The bear roared in frustration and went to swipe a paw at the girl whom was taken over by a dragon at current, but just barely got her arm, but even then, the armor already in place saved from most of the damage. He looked around and noticed most of these damned bears were gone already, between him and Leona, that he saw at least. He wasn't paying much attention still, focusing on the bears at his own hands. With the bears all getting madder, Veles jumped on the back of the bear he just smashed the side of after the snakes trapped it's legs, and lets the companions take over beating it up before he managed to actually get knocked off, and the bear was unconscious from blood loss.

As Veles was trying to back off from his remaining two bears, he noticed that the naked man was now at least covered slightly and was helping the blonde warrior woman, and snickers as he helped her with her magic. "Indeed... appropriate companions..." He muttered once again. He was about to go after the bear that was going after Yuvon, when he managed to get Adalinda's body smacked back from not paying attention like a dunce, when he had already managed to summon something forth that seemed rather interesting. He didn't think he would ever see a strange sea creature looking thing on land like this... except a member of Ada's guild whom was a sea creature, just not one like this. He couldn't let himself fall behind because of his admiration of the other members, he must prove that he could get Adalinda just as strong as they were. He then snickers and grips his fist once again as he tapped into Ada's ability to run faster, slamming his fist into the face of another polar bear once again, this time while it was aware of how hard this human could punch, just not with extra speed. The bear had been knocked back enough to nearly land on some of the elves that were running around, lobbing frost covered snowballs and attempting to use their, rather delicious, swords at others that weren't their own companions. "You puny things are starting to annoy me... and I haven't even touched you myself yet..." Veles grumbles just as he saw Tamaria fluttering above and using her own sword against a few. He lets up a sigh and quickly morphs one of Adalinda's sword, her current favorite. It was a sword with three sides to it. While he enjoyed using his fists when he takes over Ada's human body since he could make her stronger, he honestly couldn't help but accept her magic was just as good. He let the snakes go after the bear by Leona, holding the back paws still to let her beat it up easier without it launching after her.

He quickly was in battle against a few of these little pests, managing to kick a couple of them back before a few snowballs actually hit him. He was tempted to roar at them now... Oh so tempted... He had to keep his own temper under control now, especially with him wielding a sword. Why couldn't his stupid host have a paddle or a bat he could use instead?! That would be easier in situations like this! He now hoped his contribution to knocking out these stupid elves was good enough, but he also felt there was more they had to deal with besides what was in front of them already...

If the fight was mellow before, now it was pure chaos for Garnet. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed some rather inappropriate things, among others. Such as being given a speed boost, by the looks of it, if the Inkling had to guess. His legs felt lighter and he himself felt like he just could get to places faster than before. Somewhat like when he turned into his squid form, but not quite exactly like it. The Inkling briefly wondered if the spell that had been casted on him by the spider lady Song would work on him even in his squid form. Though that was sort of out of question, for the time being, as he couldn't even use weapons to spread ink to have something to swim in. Again, he was hit by that now all too familiar pang in his heart, knowing that he couldn't do anything to help out the rest of his team.

He was about to move forward, when a group of - namely three - harpies swooped down near him and began their assault on the little elves. The elves tried to retaliate by throwing the iced snowballs at them, but they just nimbly flew away from their reach and dodged them. The harpies then continued their assault, clawing away at the little helpers. It made Garnet glad that he was on their good side. He was ready to confidently move forward, especially now that he had proper cover and distraction in form of the harpies, but yells of battle stopped him in his tracks. The Inkling was tempted to run back. But even if he did, he knew that he wouldn't be able to do anything. He shook his head in defeat and went on ahead, instead.

It was tough, trying to be sneaky in a place that Garnet was absolutely not familiar with. It was quite different from all those times he was put into a Splat battle and he knew exactly where to go and where to point his team, if they needed his assistance. But this... just hunks of snow and trees. And an occasional rock. Yells and screams behind him to complete the atmosphere. One could only wonder as to how he had ended up in such a situation. Most likely because of the Magic Council. Garnet's thoughts were a bit too fleeting, considering the circumstances. But he believed that he could afford it, as there were no pesky little elves in his vicinity. At least from what he could see. The Inkling would stand up straight to stretch out his legs and back. Even though the movement speed enhancement from the spider lady had proven itself useful, it didn't stop his muscles from aching. He wasn't used to crouching a lot. Garnet was usually standing and shooting and then turning into his squid form if necessary. As much as this was vastly different from the battle style that he was used to, he reckoned that all of this would prove to be very useful experience in the future.

The Inkling scanned his surroundings. While he wasn't too far off from the overall fighting, he was far enough that he couldn't see any elves. The shrieks of harpies and roars of white bears were quite audible and Garnet sighed. What he would give for his earphones right about then, to pump himself up with a song or two from the Squid Sisters. Regardless of that, he needed to find the portal and do it fast. He walked into the space that he had been avoiding this whole time because of the elven menace. Puffs of hot air escaped his mouth as he kept on looking around and walking forward. He was trying to find it visually, but then the Inkling remembered something very important. He was a mage. Who couldn't get the hang of his magic, but that was besides the point. Since he had gained magical powers, it also meant that he could sense magical presences. The issue was that he had no idea how to do that.

Garnet didn't feel anything or anyone in particular. Perhaps he was supposed to focus? Even though he knew that it was extremely dangerous, the Inkling closed his eyes, despite his better judgement. Again, he didn't feel anything changing. Garnet frowned as tried to focus better. Still nothing. He needed to try a different approach. If something didn't work even after attempting it again, it was best to just try to think of an alternative. That was one of the things that he had learned during Splat battles and saved a lot of his matches. Instead of just empty focus, Garnet tried to think of the rest of his team who was fighting little ways away from him. The uniformed women, the spider lady and the rest of them. Once more, nothing was different, but then he felt something. It was as if he could tell where they were approximately. As if their magic left behind traces that Garnet could then pick up on. The Inkling smiled. And was then subsequently hit by an iced snowball into his head.

The Inkling lost his balance and fell into the snow because of the element of surprise. The white Toni Kensa long sleeved sweater did only little to keep out the invading snow and Garnet tried his best to get back up as soon as he could. His head hurt and his view of the snow and trees spun as he scrambled back onto his feet. Garnet heard a giggly laugh, coming from the direction that he had originally come from. As soon as his vision cleared, he saw the culprit. It was an elf, who most likely dodged attacks from the harpies. The Inkling grit his sharp teeth as he massaged the spot on his head that was hit. It was just a snowball, yes, but he was caught off guard. Which he never shouldn't even have in the first place.

The elf cackled and gathered snow for an another snowball that he then encased in ice. Garnet's eyes shot wide, well aware of what was going to happen next. His head was throbbing, but he needed to do something, before he ate an another hit. His head was a bit less durable than his body. The little elf was smirking as he pulled back his arm, ready to throw. Garnet ducked and dashed to the side. The snowball only narrowly missed him. It seemed that the elf wasn't as dumb as he looked. He predicted where Garnet could possible dodge to and threw the snowball in that direction. Garnet had to retaliate, somehow. The elf was already done preparing the next snowball. The Inkling quickly looked around himself, finding a stick, that seemed to have okay durability. He dived for the piece of wood and the elf threw an another snowball. But this time, Garnet had the stick in his hands. He swung with full force and hit the snowball back at the attacker. The stick shattered into pieces in the process, but it seemed to work, wonderfully.

The snowball that was aimed at Garnet hit the elf instead and the impact knocked him out cold. He may have not been able to properly use his magic yet, but he still had his glorious aim. "Ngyesh!" The Inkling threw his fist into the air in victory, but the sudden movement made his head spin a little. Right. He had to take it easy for a little bit, until the headache went away. Though that would have to wait. He had things to take care of before that. With the elf of surprise out of the way, the Inkling focused once again. He felt the rest of his team again, but he was not looking for them. Garnet was looking for the portal. He kept on scanning the area. Then he found something. A trace that was unlike the others around him. It felt incredibly unique, so he could only assume that it was the portal that he was looking for. All that was left, was to follow the trail.

The portal wasn't far. It was just a quick jog away to the right of the area that he was avoiding before. Garnet saw the shimmering circle with edge composed of festive hues. The edges faintly pulsated, but he couldn't see anything in the center. Though at the same time, he couldn't see through it. The Inkling came closer to the portal. He didn't know what to do. He didn't have a magic that specialized in closing and opening things. He didn't really have anything. Garnet almost made up his mind to run back and get somebody much more knowledgeable than him, when he felt as if... something was pulling him towards the portal. Some unseen force and was trying to convince him to not run away, but deal with the problem he had in front of him. The Inkling grumbled, but stayed.

Garnet walked up to the portal, but he kept enough distance between him and the magical circle. He didn't want to get sucked into it and be transported elsewhere. Who knew? Perhaps it was just a one-way portal, if there was a way to make one like that. None of these thought actually brought him any closer to solving the problem at hands, though. The Inkling frowned again and swiped his hand where he assumed was the surface of the portal. His hand faintly shined and where his hand touched the portal, a bit of it disappeared. He quickly pulled his hand back in surprise. The faint glow disappeared as he pulled it away. Garnet's eyes darted between the portal and his hand. Was his magic special? Was his hand special? Or was that just simply how the portal could've been gotten rid of? The Inkling had no idea. But he was going to erase the portal from existence.

The Inkling swiped his hand over the portal, making it disappear bit by bit. It felt like he was wiping a dirty window clean. Once he was done, Garnet stepped back and nodded. Just like that, the portal was gone. He could only hope that it was the only portal. When he was searching for the traces of the portal he didn't feel anything else that resembled that trace, other than that one instance. Garnet let out a sigh of relief and turn around. His head still had this dull ache in it and Garnet was positive that there would be a large bruise left behind in a couple of hours. But that was the price of letting one's guard down while not being able to properly use magic. He shook his head. Did he even really help out the team? He wasn't sure. He wasn't paying much attention to the sounds from before, because of his own little problems that arose during his venture into the unknown. But he had to go back and check on them. He did leave them with still a number of invaders left to defeat and he wasn't planning on just abandoning them. Even if the best he could do was to hit back the snowballs with a stick.

A Harrowing Holiday - Page 2 Empty Re: A Harrowing Holiday

Post by Guest 17th January 2019, 5:32 pm

What did song think of her identity? That depended. Before she left home it was never something she thought on, something decided on by others the moment she was born. Her magic was a type that many from where she lived had. It was an ancient magic used by people there as their work as 'ghosts'. If you weren't a certain type of soldier or noble, ghosts were barely as being more than myth. Why was that? Because they could only live with other soldiers after becoming one. You could only interact with others and think of getting married after a certain amount of years of service. Who you interacted with outside of duty couldn't know your real name or identity, even your own children. For someone young like her? It meant losing what family she had, to vanish from the world and people she had known and loved without a silver of a chance of returning. It would be like she never existed at all. To love her identity as being born to kill in a sense contradicted her want to have an identity. This was because of the type of fighter a 'ghost' was in the culture. It was an identity started at birth, a magic that stripped away sight. Normally eye function was something needed, this was why some with certain magics in her home still had two sets of eyes even after puberty. Where did eyes help when it came to sandstorms? This was the core of a ghosts function. Their magic allowed them to see everything perfectly clear in an atmosphere as noisy, windy, and sandy as that weather.

Ghosts were supposed to use long range attacks and traps, letting the storm keep them hidden from the targets sight. These people take down enemies with the intention to never be found by those targets. If one gained a glimpse, it would be of a masked hooded figure for brief moment. This was why the desert soldiers her town had were called ghosts by locals. It was a slang term really, but it fit. Nobody knew their identities or stories, any glimpses seen was short and left much to the imagination. You existed to kill, collect supplies, and live isolated from everyone. To be one of those desert soldiers didn't just mean to train to be as deadly as possible, but to also lack an identity. The little Taleas want to exist as a person was as loud as the colors of her silken spider silks, reflecting her strong desire for a simple desire. The thing she had wanted the most had been to live with those she loved as family and one day find out who her parents are. Maybe one day find out why she was left at the orphanage? These things seemed so simple to desire and Song didn't understand why she couldn't just have these things. The world was confusing and things didn't always make sense to her. The young girl has started to realize over time to think and train that to some extent she resented the lack of identity she had been expected to have in her own culture. It wasn't an expectation she could ever run from just by changing the faces she knew, nor picking a new location for a home.

This was because it was in her very magic and how it was shaped. It was a magic designed with a specific purpose, many had it before she ever even existed. The names of those with it who had passed on were all gone. Even those who might carry the memories of them at youth stopped carrying those small traces after their own deaths. This history was what was tied to her frustrations, mixed with a youthful personality that was quick to burst with emotions? She certainly wasn't happy, even if it was clear to her now that there had been a misfire of communication. Her flat chest puffed a bit, her eight legs stiffening a bit as her face flared with anger. "I didn't say that, I said I didn't know adults had that problem too!" Her fingers started to move, weaving sand colored threads together. "I called having an easier time with violence instead of words a problem!" A spell was created, taking the form of a diamond shape. "That was the problem I didn't know adults had too! That's what I learned!" She looked around before starting to prepare herself, tensing her muscles, moving her legs, torso, and arms to best prepare for throwing something. "Don't point at me like I deserve it after you're mean!" The trap spell was thrown, triggered not long afterwards by an elf. The snow that looked so white before was now coated with a shadowy dark crystalline looking magic, wrapping itself around all the enemies around. It didn't harm any of them, but it certainly slowed them down.

But her slight tantrum of words was short lived, calming down. This was how she had realized that one of her guildmates had helped her with casting Slow Steps. "Thank you yuvon, i'm sorry the tree stole your clothes. Do you want me to make you clothes when we have time? It'll only take a few minutes." The arachne wasn't sure how else to describe what the tree did. Made disappear? But that was still stealing, even if it didn't keep them. Stealing only had to involve taking what wasn't yours. Why did the tree want them? Well, clothes were a form of protection, so it made sense to rob your enemies of a form of protection. It was mean, but you aren't supposed to be nice to people you're fighting. Taking what time she had the help with magic, she wove more black threads. Why? Speedy steps was another costly spell, so it was better to only cast it again when she had help. One of her small hands started to glow black after the spell was woven into existence. With this she touched her helper, giving the other a speed boost.

Post by Leona Jarnefeldt 17th January 2019, 8:02 pm

Leona watched from afar as Garnet managed to literally wipe the portal from existence with his bare hands, something she did not think was possible. She learned something new every day. She was glad that she had the sense to lend Garnet air cover in the form of her harpies because the Fairy Tail mage had managed to make it through the small army of elves without taking more than a couple of snowballs and shut down the portal, thus ensuring that the only invaders the mages had to deal with were those who had already crossed over into this world. Now the mages only had to clean up the remaining invaders in order to bring this attack to a halt. But first she ran over to Yuvon just ahead of a bear that was chasing her... with so many enemies still around she could benefit from a power-up.

"OK Yuvon, show me what you've got!" Leona declared as she reached out and grabbed the nude librarian's hand. Suddenly she felt a surge of power flow through her and felt that her magic had become stronger as a result. The power-up was timely because the bear reared up on its hind legs to attack her with its front paws. Leona used a Zephyr Charge to take advantage of the situation by slamming into it with a "flash step" that knocked it back with the sheer force of her charge, knocking it into another polar bear and sending both tumbling back. The first bear was dazed from the impact and remained on the ground while the second bear struggled to its feet and faced an angry blonde who was going to finish this fight.

Leona strode up to the bear and performed a Hurricane Punch, hitting it with twelve rapid punches and knocking it out. She then ran over to the bear she had hit with the Zephyr Charge and hit it in the face with a Mach Straight, knocking it out with just one magically augmented punch. She was liking the surge of power she was experiencing because it was doing a good job of making a tough fight a lot more manageable. Thanks to Yuvon the blonde did not have to spend as much time fighting each bear, which meant that she could knock out more enemies in a shorter amount of time.

"Thanks Yuvon!" Leona said to the naked mage. Seeing his peculiar condition gave her an idea. She took a moment to jog up to him, set down her backpack, open it, and fish out her desert cloak to loan to him. It was not the most fashionable garment she had, but it would do the trick until the Silver Wolf librarian could regain his usual clothing. She handed it to him.

"Here, take this. This might be able to help until you can get your clothing back!" Leona said to him while handing over her cloak. Another bear roared behind her, challenging her to combat. Leona simply turned around, pointed a finger at it, and fired a silver Wind Bullet that hit it squarely in the chest and sent it flying into another polar bear. This was almost too easy, but the blonde was not complaining. The invasion was starting to fizzle out with some of the enemy combatants lying on the ground unconscious and with the flow of reinforcements cut off thanks to Garnet's bravery and quick thinking.

Leona then left his side to deal with the two bears she had knocked over.

"What do you want me to do?" The griffin asked telepathically.

"I can handle these two bears. Keep attacking the other polar bears!" Leona telepathically replied. Garnet had shut down the portal and now the elves were throwing snowballs at him; all he had was a stick with which to defend himself. She was not going to leave him to fight with such an inadequate weapon. Once all the bears that were an immediate threat were unconscious, she would go and deal with the elves attacking the Fairy Tail mage.

"It will be done." The griffin replied while soaring into the sky to get ready for a run on a bear in the distance. Meanwhile Leona strode up to the two polar bears struggling to untangle from each other and prepared to deal with them. Suddenly the bears disappeared and she spotted a giant red and white present appear and the sides fall down... an elf, a polar bear, another present-flinging tree, and Santa Claus himself appeared before her.

"This planet's been very naughty! It's time I punished everyone on it, starting with you five troublemakers!" Santa declared as his minions posed threateningly.

"Wait! There's no need for this to go any further!" Leona said to Santa, trying to salvage a peaceful solution out of this mess. Santa scoffed at her.

"Oh, but there is a need for this to go further! This place is just the beginning of my campaign to exterminate the naughty! After I'm done with you five, I'll clean ALL of Earthland out!" He declared to her. Leona saw that he was not going to listen to reason. It was time for some aggressive negotiations.

"Fine. I won't let you win!" Leona made a declaration of her own. Santa gave her and all the other mages present the middle finger. The elf followed suit.

"Show me what you've got! GET HER!" Santa bellowed. The elf, the polar bear, and the tree sauntered forward. The wind blew on Leona, which boosted her already high magic power even higher. She simply raised a hand and used a Wind Blast to knock the minions back and knock Santa off balance. The elf and polar bear were immediately knocked out while the tree used its branches to try and get to its feet... or trunk. Leona aimed and fired a Wind Bullet that knocked it out, which meant no clothing-destroying presents were going to be delivered to her.

"Ho ho ho! Well done, but now you have to fight me! I won't be as easy to defeat as my followers!" He said, flexing his muscles so hard that his jacket ripped and turned him into Buff Santa.

"Welcome to the gun show!" He yelled before throwing a present at Leona that hit her in the face. He tried to grab for the blonde, but she ducked and countered with a Mach Uppercut that hit him in the chin, making him stagger. She took advantage of him being off balance to charge forward and attack with Lion's Fury, dashing towards him and beginning to claw rapidly with both hands. She hit him twenty-one times and then jumped back. Buff Santa was hurt but still ready to fight.

"Ho ho ho! You're strong, but I'm not finished yet! I've got a special treat for you!" Buff Santa told her as he summoned a giant candy cane that was taller than she was and was as thick as a tree trunk. He swung the enormous candy cane with one hand at a speed that caught her off guard, hitting Leona in the face and sending her soaring away from him. She flew backwards and twisted around in the air, landing on her stomach next to Yuvon. Buff Santa erupted in deep laughter and raised a middle finger in her direction.

"I hate that guy so much." Leona muttered as she lay on the ground in considerable pain. She brushed the snow away from her mouth, looked in Yuvon's direction, and spoke to him.

"You and the others are gonna have to defeat Santa. I'll join you when I can. But right now I'm not feeling so hot." Leona said to Yuvon. She was so dizzy that looking him in the face was impossible. It was no exaggeration to say that the blonde's head was spinning from being hit with Buff Santa's big stick.

It was no wonder that the lack of clothing was an issue. A big one, indeed. Yuvon, of all wizards, should have had a clothing spell at hand at this point to avoid such instances, but ohhhh no, he just happened to know nothing about ‘clothes summoning magic’. It would be neat to conjure up a coat or a body suit just to cope with the lack of his favorite garments - those were yarned in Minstrel, and he didn’t have many sets of them. Truly, the trees surrounding the group would pay dearly for the childish mistake that they had caused, and the anger was clear in the red fog that vapored from his left eye.

A snowball was launched right at his head. It caused the head to move back in response, but the snowball was stuck as Yuvon showed more annoyance towards the darn elf that dared annoy him. He was anxious without his mask on - people could likely see his face anytime now - and he didn’t wish that. Luckily, the tinsel leaves did a decent job in covering his royal jewels, so all his anxieties were focused around his head and face. Wiping off the injuring snowball, Yuvon pointed a finger at the elf from afar. A dazzling light escaped the very tip of his finger and travelled across the space between them in a single, linear motion before spraying onto the elf’s body and pushing it back. It was a low-tier spell of his, but it packed enough power to serve its purpose with flying colors.

Ah, oh dear guildmates! They were right on the rescue to save him from any more humiliation for today as first, Song suggested that she would make clothes to him using her unique web, then Leona offering her desert cloak. How he adored them both right now. “Song, your web is more valuable than you think!” he responded to her, “It does not befit me to cover my body with your unique handicraft. Use it wisely - I’ll suffice with this cloak…!” He nodded to Leona as a ‘thank you’ response, then flung the cloak over his body with one hand. For now, this cloak rid him of all issues - it even managed to cover some of his face. Nice.

The portal from where all the elves and bears came out of was… gone. And he only got a brief look at it, but Garnet’s presence near its previous position proved that the small wizard undid any attempt at calling reinforcements. Nice job, boy! That meant that they were only to focus on the enemies at hand, not worrying about ambushes from behind or extra numbers of elves and bears that would surprise them in the end. It was all set. Yuvon’s hands glowed brightly once more as he focused his magic power’s presence, pointing out with his fingertips and utilizing Song’s magic. Long strings of web spread out between his fingers as he played around with them, at last forming a diamond-shaped orb of web. He readied his arm and lunged it at a nearby group of elves and watched as they all got caught in the spell’s range. A large area of effect, indeed. Thanks for the spell, Song.

And just as Yuvon expected no more enemies, the opposite proved itself. Apparently, they had all overseen a single person that stood out from the elves, bears and trees… it was a wide, bearded man donning red and white. This entity was known as ‘Santa Claus’, and he was usually a joyous, child-beloved figure in Christmas. To think that it was their enemy was… kind of ridiculous. It made fun with reason and rationality, and Yuvon wouldn’t have any of that.

However, this large person proved tougher than his underlings. For what was able to push off the elves several meters only staggered him slightly. Yuvon observed that with Leona’s offense towards him. Her first attacks were very confident and aimed for a single goal, but the overall effect on Santa was minimal. He was a tough bastard. And as Yuvon decided to jump in and aid, Leona was faced with a large candy cane that slung her over to him. “Leona!” he yelled in worry as she was on the ground next to him. She looked hurt, and she confirmed to be stunned from the previous attack. That wasn’t good, since her prowess and aid was needed - everyone’s aid was needed. Yuvon clapped his hands and then sent them both towards the ground, in which a magic circle surrounded him and Leona.

From that magic circle, a pot rose up and caught Leona. It was full of a bright, greenish substance of ethernano that immediately began healing Leona’s entire body. “Enjoy the bath; this green acid recovers all injuries,” Yuvon assured her. Then, he moved his face towards Santa. The big lad was buffed beyond recognition from all those Christmas commercials now.

In the blink of an eye, a Wind Blast was sent towards Santa’s face. With his buffed body, his mobility had lowered, and as such he couldn’t even move his head too fast. The Wind Blast landed perfectly, and thus Yuvon followed suit by approaching him. He would have to watch out - the kind of attack that Leona suffered could prove fatal to him.

But it was still magic… that candy cane…

“This is how-“ Yuvon mocked the giant Claus, “-you use magic!” Between his hands, a large candy cane was spawned from nowhere. “And that’s not all!” He quickly poked the tip of the candy cane, spawning a sand-colored web that he pulled down the cane and towards the other end, thus forming an object similar to a bow. All that he needed now was the arrow, and he knew the perfect one. The arrow of Orion that an old friend of his utilized. With his dear Memory-Make, he could summon that very same arrow from its quiver as he held it in his hands. The arrow was pulled back, and he released the weapon - its purpose proved fatal as Santa’s tummy was penetrated by the arrow.

“This is the power of Silver Wolf…!”

Santa claus was an icon of peace, for it was said to try to put away your hate and hold hands in celebration for a time. His holiday gave the message of loving one another, but this is what he does now? Of all the people he had to hit first, it was her guildmaster. Leona was nice, very nice! Even if right now wasn't very good at showing it. But the second layer of slowing shadows stretching across the ground gave the child ideas. Whatever idea she had was blown out the window by a snowball to her face. It wasn't the only snowball during this event that had struck, but it was certainly the straw that broke the camel's back. "YOU AREN'T A GOOD PERSON! NONE OF YOU ARE NICE!" It was the first real sign of anger from her. The closest to that had been her earlier frustration at ada, but that was at the level of frustration and upset that was equal to a trandtrum. This still wasn't much better, it was still a bit of a tantrum. This was a different kind, not one full of upset and frustration caused by misunderstandings with a teammate. She felt fed up with everything, of getting attacked in only the cheapest sort of tactics to use with her. Certainly, if the two slowing spells going at once hadn't already stopped most attacks from any enemies still standing then this did. Her brown face had red in it, her blind pale yellow eyes collecting tears in them. She tossed her arms in the air a bit at the holiday figure. "You said you're after naughty people, but so far you've only attacked nice ones so far! Leonas the person you made dizzy, bully! Just a mean bully!

Without her and my guild I'd still be wondering around trying to find something left to care about that I could go to! Am I naughty?! NO! I'm a good girl! I made silk for my family to sell so that they could live, the only family I ever had was in an orphanage! We were all family, we were all what each other had! I tried not telling secrets that would get my family upset, because the government at my home wouldn't have cared if it wasn't viewed as right to train a child to kill! Then I had to decide to either become a killer, try to fight for the right to stay with my family, or run away! I didn't want to stop being a person, and staying would have meant getting my family hurt! I miss seeing everyone happy on days where we had food, I miss how nice it felt to make everyone new clothing so they could wear ones that weren't falling apart, and I know despite only being a poor orphanage that if I returned they still would still stick up for me and get hurt! Am I  bad for putting others before myself?! I'm only a kid and I've already had to make horrible choices that I can't go back on! How are you here to punish naughty people when the only ones you've hurt so far are nice!? I'm blind and the only attacks that your friends have even  tried to hit me with are ones I can't see, is that even FAIR?! You're supposed to be santa, the man who gets people to forget their angers and difference for at least a bit and celebrate together!"
She waved her arms around in frustration, one of her legs tapping with her sour mood before Song... finally broke into crying.

The santa that moments ago had looked so fearsome now looked increasingly guilt stricken. Certainly, the last thing the man was supposed to cause were tears in the eyes of children. He gave a quiet apology before slowly retreating back through the portal, taking his forces along in the process. The young Talea didn't notice the victory though, as her outburst had been genuine. It was something that had touched a creature that loved children for its honesty. In time she would be alright, but right now? She was thinking about all the people she would never see again. The family she had was at a place she can never return to without those people getting hurt themselves. It was a heartbreaking sort of story, one that she could never fully release. It affected the child in her present, even if it wasn't something she would ever take back. If there was a tune in her heart, it was one that looked towards the uncertain future.
