Arriving on Celestial Sanctum, Leona touched down with the help of Sylvia the harpy. Her sisters Daphne and Sandy flew as escorts in case there was trouble, but the Silver Wolf Guild Master arrived unharmed. It was fortunate for her that she had been here before during the Terror incursion into Earthland because she knew how to get here without issue. Leona calmly surveyed the clearing she landed in and found no signs of trouble. That was good.

Dressed in an olive green t-shirt with khaki cargo pants and boots, Leona carried her backpack and wore her Argent Gloves. She also kept her Nightshade Machete on her back. She lowered her backpack and brought out Fen the fox. It had been a long time since the pair had traveled together. The small creature had easily fit in her backpack and had rested on her desert cloak during the trip.

Leona was expecting the arrival of other mages shortly. They were Eoduun Eero, Song Talea, Aspen Azarov, Veil Yami, Raven Carroll, Yuzuki Fairydae, and Kitalpha Aurence. This would be her first time working with almost all of them. The only exceptions were Eoduun and Kitalpha.

Daphne and Sandy gently lowered the equipment needed to set up a base camp for the guild. Taking a lesson from her trip with Haley Musea to Silent Glacier, Leona decided to set up a base camp before the eight Silver Wolf mages tromped off into the wilderness. She took the first green canvas tent and began to set it up. But before she did, Leona summoned the jackal to keep a watch while her back was turned.

"Hey Leona, what's the deal?" The jackal asked.

"I need someone to watch my back while I set up the tents." Leona said to him.

"We've got this, girl!" Sylvia assured her as the sisters set up a rough triangular perimeter around the tent and stood on their feet.

"OK, Leona!" The jackal said as he stayed by Leona's side.

Leona set to work setting up the first tent, which was a tall and rectangular one that would serve as a makeshift field headquarters. Fen stayed beside Leona and looked at her with its brown eyes. Its long ears twitched at every sound.

"Are we going camping, Leona?" Fen asked.

"Kinda. Some of my guildmates are gonna show up soon and they're expecting me to have the tents set up." Leona answered.

"OK. It's great that you have friends!" Fen commented. He backed off when Leona began hammering a peg into place with a wooden mallet. His sensitive ears twitched with each strike of the mallet. It was slow going, but she hoped to have at least one tent up before her guildmates arrived. Thankfully she had Fen and her summons to watch her back.

After almost an hour the first tent was up. It was not the best, but it would do. Leona went inside of it and marveled at what she had done.

"Uh, Leona, there are some sketchy dudes coming out of the woods." Sandy informed her. Leona walked out of the tent and brought her machete down to her left hip. Fen ran and hid inside the tent. The jackal growled and walked beside Leona. It was not even two hours and there was already trouble.

"If you're not part of the alliance, you guys don't belong here. Just go back where you came and I'll forget that we ever met." Leona offered as the harpies took flight. The team of eight men stood their ground. They were brandishing longswords and wore khaki clothing with backpacks.

"Sorry sweetie, but we put too much money into this trip to just go home. There's treasure here and we aren't leaving without it!" The leader replied. He wore a pith helmet that concealed brown hair and a monocle. In his hand was an old cavalry saber.

A first job that was meant for the Guild itself. Eoduun felt both excited and anxious. It was exciting because such an assignment meant that Silver Wolf was finally some well-deserved recognition. But he also felt anxious. Leona had appointed him as the Ace and he was pretty sure that he was now sort of an example for other guildmates. Thus, it was only natural that he would join in on the job, along with some other members of the Guild.

They were tasked with retreiving an artifact from the Celestial Sanctum, which was a special island, where only members of the alliance they had forged could go to. Eoduun was pretty sure that the artifact had something to do with stars, but he kind of forgot about the details of the job, as he was heaving into a bush as soon as he arrived on the island. He was half-sunk into the bush, while Soho was looking out for him, in case anything happened. Eoduun packed himself kind of properly, for once. In his travelling bag, he had a water container filled with water, his notebook with a pencil, some meat jerky and on the outside he had Earthshaper strapped to the bag. After he finally got his bearings once more, Eoduun cleaned himself up to make himself look more presentable. He was wearing combat boots, black jeans and t-shirt, along with a dark grey lightweight hoodie.

Soho was eager to show him the way, and the boy followed his friend. It took him a bit of time to reach the destination where his companion was taking him to. Along the way, Eoduun took in the surroundings. They weren't too crazy different, but it definitely had a strange feel to them. Eventually, the duo arrived at the site they were supposed to meet up at. And immediatelly it seemed like trouble. Leona, his Guildmaster was present, as well as a group of men, who were looking quite hostile. With long strides, the boy would swiftly take place next to Leona. He heard the men talking about treasure that they wanted to get their hands on. "I will have to ask you to kindly leave the Sanctum. I don't care who you are or what you want, but you have no business in this place." Eoduun would deeply growl at the intruders as he crossed his arms on his chest. Some of them had their weapons out, but if they even thought about doing anything, they would have to face the acid and become disarmed shortly after, Eoduun would make sure of that.

Yuzuki sighed, leaning her head back against tattooed arms as she strolled along the wooded road. It seemed that Silver Wolf, her new guild, had plans to retrieve some sort of artifact. Normally it wasn’t the kinda thing she was hired to do, but hey. Maybe something interesting could even come out of this, yeah? It would be good for the semi-fey to get out of her shell and approach some new people, learn more about this band of weirdos she would be spending a lot of time with from now on. But so far, the task had left Yuzuki much, much less than thrilled. Having hoped for some sort of excitement and adventure, the thrill of a good ol’ fight, the semi-fey instead found that these jobs involved a heck ton of plodding around with supplies as opposed to actual action. See, the thief’s method of travel usually involved throwing herself to the winds, letting it push her about to whatever place she wished to go with only the clothes on her back and her trusty spear. It was low effort, and consisted mostly of being knocked back and forth through the sky. This strange, uncomfortable tactic the guild mages had of trudging around instead did not at all appeal to the letter mage.

It would seem an eternity before the merry band arrived at their campsite, Leona immediately guiding her summons to help out with setting up campgrounds. Once again, tents and camps were never things that appealed greatly to the very freeform semi-fey. Sleeping under the stars better recharged her magic, and also provided her a comforting closeness to the nature that she, as a fey naturally drew comfort from. Instead, not feeling at all inclined to help, she settled down at the edge of the woods, extending her senses to try and capture the heartbeat of an edible creature nearby. Being quite hungry after the trek, Yuzuki longed to sink her teeth into some sort of tasty game and fill the growling pit that had formed within her stomach.  With impossibly light footsteps, the huntress slipped through the trees, effectively disappearing from the boundaries of the campsite without alerting any of the others. Why would they have any need to know where she went, anyways? Wasn’t like they were her moms or something.

Managing to pick up on the murmuring heartbeat of a creature larger than a mouse nearby, Yuzuki gently slipped into the air, transparent wings barely keeping her above the brush and leaves scattered on the ground. Approaching the source, she pushed her senses to the max, making sure to identify everything she could about the creature. By the vibrations their footsteps caused on the forest floor, this appeared to be a band of something rather large – had she been fortunate enough to stumble upon a group of deer, perhaps? Excitement peaked – but quickly died down as her eyes glimpsed the tops of khaki hats bobbing through the foliage. Fucking humans, always popping up everywhere she went. If only the semi-fey could in fact eat humans, life would be so much easier…

Casually floating over their heads, Yuzuki dangled upside down, pushing softly off the tree trunks on either side of the path as she followed their progress. They were headed towards the Silver Wolf camp, and definitely did not seem like particularly friendly people. That much would become even more obvious as she approached camp, the men speaking in a rather rude tone to the guild master. For now, however, she refrained from moving. Instead, the theif dangled causally upside-down over the group, raising an eyebrow at Eoduun and Leona. If they gave any sign of an order, she’d gladly descend upon these filthy pigs.
