The War Between Time

Oras stood there in the fenced area they had constructed. They had transplanted trees and brush that was near the area they had found the cub to this section. Oras had recently finished placing up magic protection on the fences that would keep the cub safe as well as keep it inside, while keeping outside beasts and humans from invading. And now they had released the infant cub out into it's new landscape. Oras was watching the cub in the forest using his illusion magic, and had projected a sort of video of what he was seeing for Amora to watch. They knew the cub would have to explore and wander this new area by itself for the meantime. They couldn't go around babying it, especially with no predators in this area just yet. At the same time they had put the prey in the area several hours before the cub. The reason being that he wanted to give the prey a good idea of where all the hiding spots were. This way hunting the food sources woudln't be so easy. It was a safe way to teach the little Rose how to survive on her own. Learn how to hunt and stalk by failing until it figured out the key to it's success. Oras turned to Amora. "Well? You think this will work for the time being?"

Amora smiles as she sees the new environment for her little girl as she watches the baby tiger move throughout its environment as she feels only a slight inclination for some worry about her hunting capability. However, even with such worry she will have to have faith that Rose's hunting instincts will be enough to get her by and be in tip top state for catching all of the prey that she needs, and if she really ends up starving or worse they can easily feed her food by setting it out for her. Since even if they want to keep her in their the entire time to make sure that Rose is willing to fight alongside them they will have to take her out of that environment from time to time to secure the success of her working with them instead of just being a wild beast. 'I don't won't kill her i will do everything to make sure that she becomes my partner.' Amora thinks to herself with a serious look within her eyes as she then turns to Oras as the look fades for the meantime to answer the question. As long as i can enter their from time to time to spend time with her like a mother to its cub them i will be fine. Also to make sure i can provide food for her every now and than just encase she doesn't get the whole hunting thing initially. This is a makeshift form of survival to the fittest but at the very least i can show her how to hunt correctly if she doesn't grasp it immediately. Amora says towards her partner not wanting to have room for argument as she is wearing her outfit that her partner had found her initially back in the woods. Her fur coat being worn and wearing the same white shirt, and black pants with the only change being the white shirt having two long holes for her wings to form in the middle of combat.

"Don't worry, you'll be able to do that perfectly. I had installed a gate for us to use, and only responds to our touch, no one else. Unless of course we trust someone else enough to take care of Rose while we're gone. Food also shouldn't be a problem but yes, we can feed her personally if she doens't manage to hunt properly in the first week. Don't worry Amora, she'll be safe here. If she isn't then I'm no survivalist... Which would mean that most of my life was a pointless waste of time to begin with." he said, trying to make a joke at the end. He didn't think it was the best though... He turned around and began leading her to the gate. "Come on, we need some food ourselves. And with this place set up we should give her some privacy for a while. You thinking about doing a job today or training?" He thought about the cultists they still had yet to face. Those men clearly were planning something, and the lich had been an actual difficulty to fight. Even for Amora and the demon Morte. So what else did these creeps have in store for them?...

Amora smiles slightly at her partner's words feeling some comfort in them since it means that Rose will be taken care of at the very minimum, but not willing to trust anyone else to take care of her little girl as of yet. 'Maybe Artemis though since i know he at the very minimum is a nice guy and isn't a totally weird person in this guild. He is at least a better option than Izayuki at the least. Weird racoon blood loving lady animal.' She chuckles softly with a smile on her face at her own thoughts as she glances towards her partner and tilts her head slightly in contemplation of what she would actually want to do for the day. Well since Rose is going to be exploring i would want to focus on training and figuring out how to use my magic better. Since i am certain their are better methods i could be doing to fight my opponents since i got my ass handed to me by a different takeover user which i won't take lying down. I'm going to beat her. The black haired huntress says with a look of utter determination glittering within her eyes at such thoughts. Making her way towards the duo's usual training spot having a target in mind for her to chase after to beat to prove that the next time she won't go down as easily. Her mind drifts to the lich and the fact that it was an annoyingly tough opponent with seemingly no end to its strength which was born from just a lower ranked member. Which leaves just the thought of what the other higher up people could have in terms of strength if they did some weird ritual to try and give themselves a power boost. That or just what the leader himself in general would be capable of since they hadn't seen much from him at all and only have the knowledge he can boss around strong people.

Oras had heard Amora's chuckle but didn't say anything. Her thoughts were her own, and her emotions too. Especially since he was learning how to not even brush against other people's emotions by accident. He still felt them when their emotions were spiked but he wasn't sure if he could actually do anything about that. She spoke up again and stated how she would like to focus on training and utilizing her magic better than she had been before, especially since Rose would be exploring. She continued explaining how there were most likely better methods she could use to combat her opponents, and used the example of her getting defeated by another takeover user, emphasizing how she was not going to just lie down and accept it, and instead would beat her in the end. It was Oras' turn to chuckle. She was definitely growing, in personality, maturity and in strength. She had much more control over her silver aura than the last few times, and he knew that over time she may have complete control. "Perhaps researching and observing animals both magical and natural will help. Since your magic focuses around animals, that's where your focus should be.. Though I also suggest weaving in things like martial arts and strategy into your magic too. It always helps." Of course I still have yet to find out where my magic is going to be heading. I can't decide...

Amora turns to her partner and gives him a big smile and a thumbs up with a mischievous look dancing in her eyes. Don't worry Oras i got the magical department covered since i got some ideas of what i should be doing to improve myself their is only the question if i can get away with doing so. I got to test what limits i can do to my magic to try and be versatile as much as i can while also overpowering my opposition since i can then i can just take down anything in my way. I will be the best while also protecting those like my little Rose. Amora says with a fierce and determined look within her eyes as she continue making her way towards their usual training ground as her smile slowly sinks as she feels a weird tugging sensation into her chest that fades after a bit. 'That was weird.' She thinks to herself with a confused look but quickly dismisses it as she continues walking forward not seeing a reason to mention it. With the possibility of it being some kind of emotion, or other such thing that comes from a illness or the such not being that much of a bother to the black haired huntress. Since as long as it isn't hindering her training or leading to her death in some big or obvious way she can have all the time in the world to just run around and improve herself in major ways. So what about yourself Oras? What are you planning to do while we're training? Going to go back to reading books about your guild leader's species. She says in a playful and teasing tone of voice while turning her head to look at her partner's face.

He nodded in reply to Amora's words, trusting her and what she said. Though the mischievous look she was giving him was making him curious. At any rate she seemed to have ideas that would help her improve herself and her magic. She was only wondering if she'd be able to get away with doing so. It was true. Despite magic being able to do nearly anything, there were certain limits. A magic feat may cost too much mana to be able to cast, or is too straining on the user. Or perhaps certain magic requires you to be a certain race, or have a certain body structure. This is why there were rituals, which were spells that required the aid of multiple wizards and magic users. She told him that she needed to test where her limits were. He nodded to her. "Learning your limits and weaknesses is always a good thing to do. However I'm pretty sure you've learned at this point that it's not just about overpowering your opponent. It's about outsmarting them too." Suddenly he felt something, though it was more stronger than Amora's.. In the sense that his own soul reacted to the sensation. Oras felt the tugging, but then he felt his soul snap at it like a whip, causing him to flinch and turn around. Looking for the source. But he couldn't detect anything. When she spoke again he snapped back into reality. "I can read at any point. What I need to do is decide on where to change my magic to. It will be pointless for me to do anything else at this point."

Amora just nods her head with a relaxed sigh escaping her lips as she arrives to the training grounds and feels a weird tug on her body once more as she stumbles back and looks down to her hand swearing that she saw it faze into static like invisibility for only a moment before turning back to normal. What the... She trails off softly in confusion before shaking her knowing that her partner will make comment of it if it is significant as she just tries to get through the motions of fighting a person as she tries to go through some basic hand to hand motions. Trying to imagine a tiger aiding her in the fight along with her wide variety of takeovers to aid her in knocking down her opponent to size with brute force. However, every now and again she can feel the same pull but tries to just ignore it for the most part not paying attention all that much as slowly just her body fazes in and out of reality. While to her vision she looks completely normal it is more so the environment changing around her that she just counts towards her partner trying to get her use to a changing realm via illusions. To ignore some stimulation from one of the senses that could lead to a distraction as she just tries to focus upon her opponent until at some point she just starts shifting and stays within this new location. She grits her teeth with slight pain as her right hand ignites in a red light as she can feel some kind of pain shoot through her arm and down her spine. After a few moments she takes some deep calming breathes to try and realize what even just happened as she slowly turns her gaze to look at her hand that has a weird symbol on it.

When the feeling had touched Oras yet again, his soul reacted more violently.  He could feel it's energy lashing on all ends, and a sliver of energy would even be seen coming out of him by Amora.  A black and dark purple strand that swung out like a whip that quickly dissolved.  Oras turned to her to check on her and see if she was experiencing something similar, and his eyes widened when he saw her vanish before his eyes.  Before he could react however, he felt whatever force this was grab a hold of him, and his soul reacted in turn.  He roared with pain as his soul fought whatever was dragging him away, lashing out at the surrounding area and attempting to absorb what had grabbed him.  He was in fact absorbing this mysterious force, but whatever he was absorbing was powerful and didn't let go.  Soon enough he was in an unknown realm, taking deep breaths as his chaotic spirit calmed down.  He looked around but he had no idea where he was.  In fact, there was no way to describe where he was.  It kept shifting it seemed.  Either total darkness, total whiteness, total fog or mist, etc.  Where was he?  "The Throne of Heroes,"  A voice said.   Oras turned to see a woman with golden hair, blue eyes and a blue dress.  He took a defensive stance but she held a hand up to stop him.  "Relax, I'm not here to harm you.  I'm here to explain what has just occurred, and to tell you that your apprentice is in fact unharmed and perfectly safe.  I expect you two will be reunited in just a moment."

Woman:

She glances around the area with confusion finding herself in some graveyard as she feels a chill run down her spine because of that and gets ready to fight. Her eyes glancing at each gravestone and sees no source of creatures rising from the ground as she slowly relaxes and then hear the door open. Acting out of instinct she goes for a quick jab at the creature's head only to have her arm grabbed and twisted behind her back and forced to the ground. "Good evening miss i am the representative for this war, and i can see that you are a master from this hand." He twists the arm slightly as Amora just grits her teeth in annoyance, but restrains from the desire to beat this man and grind him into tiny bits of dust and meat for what he is doing. "Since you are a master without a servant that i can sense lets take you inside so we can go and fix that shall we?" He questions her before letting go of her arm as she is quick to push off the ground and goes to strike his head only to have her leg grabbed and thrown into the church within a instance it felt like. "Now than my name is Aruhari Natagame and you are a master in need of a servant if you wish to survive. If your servant dies i will provide you safety within these walls." He says in a cool and cold tone while looking down towards Amora while she just glares back, but slowly gets back up onto her feet remaining in a fighting stance. What war..what do you mean by master, and where is Verus. She demands of the stranger with a low growl in her throat while looking towards this man not recognizing the T thing along his neck which is good and bad. At least means she isn't kidnapped by cultists, or could be and that they created a elaborate illusion for all she knows. The black haired huntress not liking where any of this is going or means for herself by being thrown terms she doesn't understand.

"You had better explain: What is the throne of heroes? Why am I here? Where is Amora? And what do you want?!" The woman sighed, seeming a tad bit embarrassed, but when he tried to feel her emotions he couldn't sense anything. What the hell was going on? "To be quite honest it was literally an accident, and neither of us are at fault. From what I can gather, you and your apprentice stumbled into a tear in the fabric of space and time. The result was your ending up in this dimension. I had sorted you into the throne of heroes; where all heroic spirits go after death, due to your heritage. You're not dead by the way, just to clarify" Heritage? He thought. What did she mean by that? "And your apprentice landed in the mortal realm, and when she did I felt she qualified for the Holy Grail War. Thus I appointed her as master... It was only after this I realized you two were not from this world and came to, explain a bit" "What do you mean war? You threw my apprentice into a war?!" She held up her hand again. "It's not that kind of war. You see I am the Holy Grail, taking a physical form to speak with you. I can grant any wish to the winner of the war. There are seven masters each with seven servants. These servants and masters must fight each other until only one team remains. The master does not have to be defeated, only the servant, though some wars have gotten a bit out of hand due to some masters being cruel or deceitful. While I wish I could send you back, I can only do so if you two win the war. Of course, she needs to summon you as a servant to do so. I'll see what I can do to reunite the two of you, Oras Auro."

She watches as instead of the man answering her question he instead quickly carves in a summoning circle along the ground and look towards herself with a look of expectations. "I would rather not waste my time having to answer your questions. My job is to just oversee and make sure to provide a safe haven for if your servant shall die." He says rather uncaringly as i just grumble and roll my eyes and make my way over towards the circle and puts my foot against it as i push as much magical power as i can into the conduit. The circle glows bright red up into the air as she just waits patiently continuing to just push in more and more magical power to wait. If you're meant to oversee this war you're doing a terrible job by making sure not to teach me any of the rules you know that right? She says towards the man that calls himself the oversee of the war as he just shrugs his shoulders and takes out three sharp looking blade things with a raised eyebrow. "Step out of line get hit by these and watch as you die faster than your hopes and dreams will when you lose." He says uncaringly as her eyes narrow taking that as a official challenge as she lets out a low growl as she says one simple thing. Bring me the strongest servant possible! She roars out trying to get the best servant possible for herself to just prove this man wrong not realizing that her image of power within her mind is her partner. For the simple face that he has been able to keep her handled and dealt with time and time again. That to her he is the alpha of her pack and thus deserves and commands her respect for his skills and ability to fight against her compared to other creatures that are humanoid.

"Whatever you do, you had better do it now,"  he said in a semi-threatening voice.  He couldn't feel her emotions, but he also couldn't tell if she was lying or not.  From what she was saying the only reason she'd need to lie is if she did grab them and drag them here on purpose..  But then he couldn't see the reason why.  There could be hundreds of possibilities, but unfortunately for him, he had absolutely no choice but to trust this...  'Holy Grail'.  He stared her down in an untrusting manner.  "Do whatever you can to bring me back to my apprentice right.  Now."  She nodded in understanding.  "Let me see what I can do...  I may be able to send a signal of sorts, try to get the priest's attention.  Does your apprentice have any item on her that connects to you?"  Oras thought for a moment and nodded.  "She should have a chunk of metal I bought her.  Back when her magic allowed her to change the shape of metals.  I hope she's still carrying it at least, otherwise I don't know what she could have."  The woman nodded.  "Very well, I'll leave for a while and see if I can reach them.  Please be patient,"  she said before vanishing.  Now Oras was at the mercy of the Holy Grail and this 'priest' person.

She hears the annoying man start to speak to her once more and just lets out a low annoyed growl at his words. "Throw in that metal you got might prove useful to get what you want." The man says vaguely to her as she just does so without any care or heart into her actions just wanting to prove this person wrong. Not knowing that this is the only way to get her partner back to her and more importantly in her mind fight in this war things she is now apart of, and hadn't even been told any information about. Only knowing that vaguely from what her partner has told her about human behavior she should expect the death count to be monumental if it is a true war. 'Though if it is a war who is even fighting who than? Since their are meant to be more than one faction.' She thinks to herself as she finishes activating the ritual circle and steps back as it summons forth a creature as she hears the priest start speaking. "Welcome master of castor, servant of castor to the holy grail war. May your victory be swift and your wish fulfilled by the end." He says with a small smirk on his face of amusement as Amora turns her head towards the man as if he is crazy at the mention of wishes being granted. her being some kind of master of castor magic, and having a servant who can cast that type of magic. What are you talking about i use takeover magic. She tries to explain while looking utterly lost.

Oras felt himself being tugged away and looked to the Grail for an explanation. She smiled and nodded. "You're being summoned by your apprentice. Fight well, and I hope you reach the end, and are able to return home Oras. Good luck." Oras wasn't sure what to make of this, but he decided this much: She wasn't evil. She wasn't good. She just was. He nodded to her before he appeared elsewhere in a flash of light. He stood in the center of the circle and saw two figures, one of which was Amora. When he saw the man he immediately recognized him as a priest and as the man in charge of the Grail War. He blinked. How did he know this? Suddenly he realized he had all the knowledge he'd ever need for this alternate world they lived in. He understood everything. He heard the priest's words and heard Amora's reply before sighing and stepping out of the circle. "You aren't needed 'priest', so stay out of our way. You aren't meant to aid any side and I was.. Given the knowledge necessary to help my apprentice along. So do the smart thing and shut up." He took Amora's hand and began leading her out of the church. Once they were out of his ear shot he would begin explaining. "No I didn't always know about this world. Apparently the Holy Grail had given the knowledge I need to me. No the Grail didn't pull us here, we fell through a rip in space and time. This was an accident. To return to our own world we have to win the Grail War. You're the master and I'm the servant, meaning my magic is automatically stronger. You have three command seals, and if you lose all three then you automatically lose and I vanish. You can use a command seal to force me to obey a command of your choosing. Command seals can also be used to force me to teleport to you if you desire. There are seven classes: Castor, assassin, berserker, saber, lancer, rider and Archer."

She looks towards her partner as if he is crazy as she tries to even understand anything that is going on as she looks back between the two individuals talking one being her partner and the other being this priest person called Aruhari Natagame. She feels herself being guided away as she just accepts it at this point from being utterly confused about everything as they step out of the church as she glances around. Seeing that they are in a more less dense part of the town since their are a few houses down the street. However, in the distance being a city with many lights and brightness not looking like anything she had ever seen before as her eyes widen. This...this isn't Bosco..where are we. She says softly being utterly terrified and confused about this from being shot out of her training ground randomly and into a new location with no explanation seemingly. She starts to feel her heart rate slowly pick up as she just listens to her partner as her mind tries to process everything she is being told since this seems like a new level of madness that is just beyond the normal. "magic can make anything possible." This seeming entirely different. So..but...castor...where... She just pauses and fumbles through words as her brain tries to process everything about being on another planet or even just realm entirely seemingly since nothing seems like what is on their planet. She than takes a sort pause as she realizes one simple thing within herself as she glances towards her partner having a small moment of clarity and calm through the chaos of her mind. Wait...i'm the master. You're the servant. You're Castor and their is 6 others we need..to do what again? Cause you never told me the goal of this war. To just kill? Befriend? Steal items from? Take over a area for a set amount of time? She says simply towards her partner as she slowly takes some deep breathes since this is a war of some kind and she can't be in a unprepared state for it or else she'll simply die if it is a war of battles.

Oras lead her to an empty alleyway where he could better explain things in private and sighed. "Ok listen. We aren't in Bosco. We fell through a tear in space and time. You know how we live on a planet? A world? Well there are more planets or world inside what's called a Galaxy, a collection of planets, moons and stars. And there are multiple galaxies swirling around inside what's called a universe. And finally there are multiple universes inside the multiverse. You don't have to understand it now, just know that the world is far more massive than you realize. We have most likely fallen into another galaxy or universe entirely. The only way we can get home is if we win this war. My class is the castor class, so my main weapon will be my magic.. Which is fortunate. You are the master, and I think you at least understood the point of the command seals. There are six other servants and six other masters. We have to kill the other servants, but we don't have to do anything to or with the other masters, so let's try to spare blood when we can. The servants are known as heroic spirits, and what happens is upon death, a famous, well known, or at least successful hero or leader's spirit are collected in another realm. The Holy Grail then uses them as servants in the war. If we can kill all six servants and reach the Holy Grail, we'll be the victors, and the Grail will grant us each a wish. One of which we can use to bring the two of us home." He explained all of this to her slowly and clearly enough for her to understand, but at the same time fast enough to where she wouldn't get bored.

"As for where we are... I know everything there is to know about this world due to the Holy Grail updating me before arriving. I don't know if it's temporary or not, but we should find shelter quickly."

Amora just looks at her partner in confusion and just nods her head figuring that is easier on her mentality than anything else. When hearing that they would have to find some kind of shelter she just gestures for him to lead her somewhere since she literally has no idea whatsoever what counts as shelter within this world and where she could even go to begin with. Plus their is always the factor and idea that a servant or master could take a shot at the two of them while they are still new and kinda unprepared for everything. She just looks down and sighs softly knowing that her ability to make sure that Rose would be safe has now been compromise by the simple fact that herself and her partner and most likely going to be gone for a few days, to few months, hell even might be a year since this was described as a war of some kind. Lead us in a direction...Assassin. she thinks on the spot trying to think of a servant class that her partner could at least look close enough to in appearance if she had to go off the name alone. Berserker seeming to muscular sounding, Saber, and lancer sounding too not Oras. Archer definitely not her partner since he doesn't even have a bow. Than rider not happening since she has never even seen him ride anything to be counted towards that which leaves Assassin because of how shadowy he looks at points. I'll call you Assassin from this point forward Assassin cause your actual name is too long. Secrecy is obviously the most important key to a successful kill also. She says simply trying to hide the simple message to her partner through words while also playing up the fact of the fake servant role.

When Amora had nodded he turned and began leading her though the city. He used his illusion magic to shift her outfit into a more modern one that still fit her tastes, while he used his illusions to alter what his outfit looked like as well. Including removing his mask from view. When she called him assassin, and declared that his actual name was too long her turned to her in confusion. "You recall that I'm a 'castor' servant correct? However it could be strategic to call me assassin in order to deceive the other masters and servants. And you are correct, especially for us. You know little of this world, and the masters and servants could be anyone. We need to be careful in this war as we're already at a disadvantage... One moment," he said before turning invisible. He stalked among the crowds and picked a few pockets, reappearing beside Amora with the cash. "This should keep us stable for a little while. Their currency is different than our own. Come on, let's find a place to hide out." Soon the two found an apartment complex. Oras paid the rent for the month, and paid extra for the person to file in that they had been there for at least a year already, so as not to draw suspicion from the other masters. They soon entered the room and Oras leaned against a wall. "Alright, we've got to strategize."

She just stares at her partner and pouts as he just blatantly says what she was trying to do. To simply call him assassin since it fit the best and would throw people off when he would be throwing around lots of magical attacks to mess with them. That was the point Assassin pick up on these sort of things i can think of that strategy also i am just calling you that all the time since we don't know what other servants look like or who these masters are meant to be. She says towards her partner as she watches him disappear from view as she just continues walking in a straight line through the crowds of people since she is just assuming and hoping her partner meant to continue forward. She glances down towards her outfit taking notice of its changes and blinks slightly at that but just nods her head going to accept it. That her pants having remained relatively the same since there wouldn't be much need for a shift, but her shirt and jacket changing to fit more of the modern look. Her jacket turning into a hoodie that can zip up with her shift shifting into one that says "Let the beast out" with a image of a lion on it. Well could be worse i guess. She says simply to herself and lifts the hood down and smiles able to feel the really soft fur as she lets out a satisfied sigh at the feel of it. Since it is rather soft and has a different feel to it weirdly enough as if it wasn't made in the same way she has made her jacket back on her world. She glances towards her partner to take notice of hat his outfit is going to be for the time being as they arrive at a apartment complex to try and get a place to live in.

When her partner buys them a room she just continues to follow him having the hood down still but keeps her right hand hidden since it has the weird markings known as a command seal on it. She turns to her partner as they enter the room that looks and smells is decent enough as she sits on the bed and looks towards her partner. A serious look appearing in her eyes as she nods in agreement to her partner. So Assassin, there are the other servants we can assume that Berserker might just be like some wandering beast of destruction, lancer i think is like a pole weapon, Archer is Archer, Saber...swords?, Rider will have some kind of steed. and you'll be able to strike from the shadows or traps, or something that is fitting of your class, than their is castor which is lots of magic. Amora says keeping up the naming of Assassin just for simplicity sake for her not screwing it up at a later date.

Oras listened as she continued to call him Assassin. He could tell her that he was controlling the sound waves to keep the place quiet on the outside, but it might be better just to have her memorize that bit of script. Specifically to keep her from slipping up in the future. Keeping their enemies guessing was a solid strategy, and gave them a little advantage in that department. When Amora went over the classes he nodded. "Essentially yes you are correct. Though Berserker doesn't have to be a beast. They could be skilled in something such as swordplay and still be a berserker. Being a berserker means your power and strength is incredible, but you have little mental control. That for some reason, something in your life had driven you to insanity. Berserker will be difficult to defeat and will require a solid plan, but only after figuring out his or her weakness. Lancer won't be too big of an issue in the general sense, seeing as how I can just change the landscape and reduce his or her speed. Same goes for saber. Archer may be difficult as we probably wouldn't see him or her coming until the attack was on us. Rider may vary depending on their steed. I would lose all my advantage if our opponents could see through shadows, illusions, or just be extremely observant. And finally, castor would be a target we'd need to be patient with and exhaust their mana if they have a limit. The first thing we should do is teach you this entire city's map so you know which locations would be best for each servant. Then we should come up with a safe and secure plan to identify the location of masters and servants, and through that who their servants actually are."
