Personality: Shinrei is a person that you would consider to be very careful, but is also confident in what he does. He makes sure that everything is right and perfect, so that nothing will go wrong, and is confident that nothing will go wrong if he is careful, making them go well together in that aspect. However, sometimes his confidence overtakes his cautiousness, making him be reckless when things are near the end of whatever he is doing, making him rush through it as quickly as possible. Due to his upbringing, Shinrei has a rather logical, serious mindset. If you are born around where he was growing up, this is most likely the mindset that you would have as well. He is of the intelligent sort, thinking out things in a logical, methodical manner. He usually keeps a serious persona on at all times to go along with this, to make it look like he knows what he is doing, and that he isn’t cracking under the pressure, should the situation ever arise.

Shinrei is often dissatisfied with other people, and anything in general if they do not match his standards, however, these standards aren’t really that high, so practically anyone who doesn’t get off the wrong foot with him is fine in his book. If they do get off on the wrong foot, he will often nit-pick at their personality and habits, to try and justify a reason to not actively like them like he should. Shinrei is rather faithful individual. He will often stick by a friend for as long as they need him, and even past that. Following up with that, he is honest- he will tell no lies, even if you ask him questions. Despite that, if he isn’t meant to tell you something, he will often redirect attention onto something else, then bring the conversation back with a different topic. Telling lies isn’t something on his to do list, so he would merely not say anything, and then do what was mentioned before.When Shinrei does attempt to do something, he is especially driven. He will attempt it again, and again, and again until it is complete, to the point where he is Suicidally Determined.

One of his greatest attributes, and possibly the most dangerous, is that if his goal is to take someone, or something down, that is his only goal, and he will do everything he can, even using techniques or items that would kill him, or do permanent damage, to take them down- coming home in one piece is a luxury if he succeeds. He would break every rule to bring them down, and he will make sure that they will go down, even if he has to go down with them. He is also intrepid, which is defined as being fearless or adventurous in situations, while still being careful in what he does. This makes him for an earnest explorer, but also a dangerous opponent. However, it is especially hard to make him do something if he isn’t attached to it. He is immensely lethargic, usually loving to sleep in when-ever possible. He has attempted to sleep longer than a sloth, but so far hasn’t been able to take a break for that long of a period of time. Sleeping while standing up has also been a thought, though he is unwilling to clear a space in his room, should he fall over, since he is such a slacker.

This is also combined with him being sedate, which is defined as being calm, dignified and unhurried- he will take his time with things, and well as being upon the most upmost level of even-temperedness. Nagging him won’t net you anything in the slightest, and he will do things in his own time, even if goes past what you’ve allocated, unless it is of the upmost urgency. Being languid is also being added in there, which in this case, is being lazy and peaceful, making all of those a perfect combination with each other for the ultimate slack-off. Shinrei is also a rather generous individual. He will often give people some of his time, and possibly money when they need it, and if he can, which is sometimes not a possibility, much to his dismay. He is also surprisingly humble for a man of his stature, thinking of others before himself and his modest importance. He will often humble himself to ask for people’s help and advice when it is needed. Following on with that, he is also rather reserved though, keeping his thoughts, ideas and opinions to himself, unless he knows that they are better.

While he may be serious, he can be good humoured. Shooting off jokes is not a thing he does, but he can take a few, so long as they are good and aren’t an attempt to blatantly insult him or people around him. If they are an attempt, he’ll bring it up to a debate, and tear the joke apart when they try to explain how it is funny to a guy that will more often than not tower over them like they are nothing, much less with his own powerful physical stature. Being analytical is also one of his specialities. His analysing abilities are rather profound, being able to analyse and deduct information at a lightning fast pace, from being able to read body language, to deducting what his opponent’s magic is, to whether his opponents are ready to turn tail and run. This makes him to be a rather difficult fighter to contend with, as he is able to see what you are doing it, what you might do with it, as well as remember how to performed it, to make his time easier, and his opponent’s time much harder, but also more fun to overcome, if they love a challenge.

Shinrei likes to merely stand there in a battle, and look his opponent down. Most will think about not actually fighting such a physical intimidating guy. It’s at that point he will bend down, and whisper to them and them alone, “… Come on…” He wants a fight when in the right mood, though he doesn’t mind it when they run. Due to his big size and stride, he can easily keep up with his opponents, and he loves to get into their faces. Why? Because they can’t shoot at something if he is in their face. He will often use his large hands to bat their hands aside, as well as his martial arts to break a few bones, most likely their wrists and elbows, since those are needed to aim a spell, more often than not. As a follower, he would be the biggest guy they have on their team, as well as one of the most faithful followers. He would, however, require their respect to for him to give theirs, much like a mutualistic relationship. As a leader, it is much the same- he will often demand the respect that he deserves as their leader, and then they will gain his.

Likes:

• Sleep – Shinrei LOVES his sleep. Seriously, don’t deprive him of it, or he might get a little cranky. Okay, very cranky. He needs lots of sleep, and he loves to have lots of sleep, to the point where he’s tried different ways of sleeping, and trying to sleep for as long as possible.
  
• Magic – Magic simply fascinates him. There may as well as be as many different magics as there are stars in the night sky. Some are elemental, and some are just simply crazy to believe that they exist, yet alone that someone would be proud to use in public.
  
• Jokes – Jokes are great. They often pick the mood right back up, and respark a conversation if used at the correct time.
  
• Hot Temperatures – He loves hot weather, simply because he can tolerate it remarkably well. He has no problem contending with the heat in the desert, but still requires the same necessities as other beings (i.e LOTS of water).
  

Dislikes:

• Bad Jokes – Bad Jokes simply suck. People create debates about how they are funny and the like, and they often make you simply want to hit the guy.
  
• Cold Temperature – He can’t stand the cold, at all. Not matter how much he puts on, he still is cold. Even with the insulation his muscles provide, he is still cold. WHY?!
  
• Liars/ lying – Basically, no one likes a liar, especially not him. He sees no point it in, and it goes against his personal nature to lie.
  
• Bad Liars – Being a bad liar is worse than a good one. Enough said.
  
• Food being wasted – Simply, why waste good food? Other people would want it, so eat everything you’ve been given on your plate to eat.
  

Motivations:

• Getting a Good Night’s Sleep – Basically, the motivation is, if he finishes, he can get a nap, or simply go to bed, and continue what he does best – being a slacker.
  
• Threatened with Being Tickled with Feathers – He has a fear of it, more or less.
  
• Completion of a Task – If he is already in something, it is pretty good motivation for him to complete it, so that he can get the aforementioned sleep as soon as possible.
  
• Threatened with Paperwork or Writing – See Phobias for why.
  

Fears:

• Complete Deprivation of his Senses – This would be a nightmare to him. Being able to hear, taste, smell, touch or see, for that matter. He wouldn’t even know if he was dead or not, or even if he was insane from the lack of the aforementioned senses. This one is right up there.
  
• Going 24 hours without Sleep – Simply, he loves a good night’s worth of sleep, and going without it would be something that he would not want to do.
  
• Graphophobia – Shinrei has a fear of writing or handwriting, to put it simply. This is a rather odd one, but it makes it rather hard for him to pass a written exam for anything, or even fill out a job application for something, or anything really.
  
• Pteronophobia – This is the fear of being tickled with feathers, of which, Shinrei most certainly has. Feathers alone aren’t scary, though being threatened that he will be tickled by one is enough to coerce him into doing something.
  

General Appearance


Height: 7”1/ 215. 90cm
Weight: 270lb / 122.63kg
Hair: His hair is a dark-brown to black colour, often appearing as each other in varying levels of light. The cut it is in is rather unruly, and almost un-cut. If you only got a good look at the front, and not the back, you would consider he has a mullet, or something of the like. Instead, it is a basically a cape of hair when you look at it properly. People doing bad-ass things always look more bad-ass when they have long hair- true fact. His fringe is just as unruly as his back, with portions of it hanging over his face, covering his eyes and the like. Despite that, he is able to see quite clearly, almost like as if it was a two-way mirror of hair. Despite that he often keeps it in as well condition as possible. However, despite that, he often forgets, as he is too busy with other things. It, however, is rather useful, as he is able to hide little surprises in there. Of which, you shall never have the pleasure of knowing what they are. Imagine what you think they may be all you wish.

Eyes: Amber
Skin Tone: His skin tone is a rather light tan, which cuts off at the usual places. He wishes that he could get a slightly darker tan, though it is almost impossible for him to get tanned at all.
Appearance: A good way to start off with describing a person is the first thing they see. Often, people look at their eyes, their nose or something of a similar description. However, the same can’t be said for Shinrei. The first thing any sane person, or insane person would see, would be his immense amount of height, as they have to look up to him to see any of his features. Next, let’s look at his face- the next thing that people would look at. There are three categories that people are often put in; attractive, middle, and ugly. Shinrei would be in the dead center of middle. The most common of common in the looks department. However, as expected, detail shall be given about his face. Firstly, let’s look at his eyes. At times, his eyes are sharp, perceiving, and can often look like they pierce through souls by themselves. Other times, they look dull, dumb, uninterested. The latter if often the case with Shinrei, with the former only when he’s truly thinking, or merely assessing someone to see their worth.

The eyes are amber in colour, though often appearing brown at a quick, skimming glance. Next, let’s move onto his jaw, nose and the like. His jaw-line is rather strong. Not burly, but it gives off a strong look. It’s a jaw belonging to man, to put it that way. It leads up to a chin, as most do. His chin is ever-so-slightly pronounced, meaning that it is barely more than the average chin. His nose is rather common. It is of a straight cut, going from the skull, on an angle down to the tip of his nose. While he has broken his nose a few times, it seems to not have changed at all, giving off few signs that it has been broken. Next, we’ll continue on with that theme. His eye-brows are thin and dark brown to black in colour, giving off an almost elegant look. His fore-head isn’t really notable, nor is it large. It’s just there, because it has to be. However, like quite a few heads, his skull is completely symmetrical, with no faults in that regard.

Next thing we’ll move onto, is his hands. They are strong, able to be clenched into a tight fist for a powerful punch, or splayed open for an equally open palm. Even still, there is something even odder about them. Most people have various markings on their hands. The most common is that the left hand has an “IV” pattern, and the right hand has a “VI” pattern. However, instead of those, Shinrei instead has merely a “V” on both hands. This is was probably due to his genetics and the like. Very complicated stuff. Any-who. Now we’ll move onto his next feature, his skin. During his life, he has been riddled with quite a few scars, such as ones from stabs, slashes and the like along his torso- very pretty stuff. Despite that, most of them have faded, become barely noticeable any more amongst the rest of his skin. Speaking of which, his skin tone is a rather light tan. He does spend quite a bit of time in the sun, however, it is nigh-impossible for him to get a tan, no matter how much he tries.

However, there are different things on his skin, compared to other people. These make him instantly recognizable, being a trade-mark of his looks. This would be the black markings all over his skin. They are tattoos, birth-marks, or injuries. They are the mark of a warrior- one who has dedicated his life to fighting. These marks travel all over his body, not missing a limb, and over every joint in a faint line. If you have played Asura’s Wrath, think of the lines on Augus’ body, then you have the picture of what they look like, except they are black instead of red. Now, let’s move onto some other things, such as his voice. His voice is deep, booming and manly, with a hearty chuckle following most things he says. He often laughs a lot, often giving him a satisfying smile wherever he goes, spreading love, joy and all that other stuff. It is recognizable anywhere that he goes, and may as well be his signature, and no one could properly imitate him and his voice with the same passion which he speaks with, and soul he puts into his words. Even those skilled at vocal imitations, or completely shape-shifting can’t imitate him properly.
