Today seemed to be a good one, and Takeji was happily enjoying it. He could peacefully go on a walk through town, and he hardly had to talk to anyone so far. Just how he would rather things be.
A few hours after leaving his residence, he was getting tired of walking already. Takeji went to the nearest cafeteria he knew and ordered a sandwich, which he received in a few minutes and sat down to eat. Other than that salty cashier he had to hold a conversation with at the cafeteria, Takeji was pleased at how smoothly everything was going so far.
After a few minutes, he decided against taking the last bite and stood up, walking closer to a ball of fur that looked hungry. She was meowing and looking at his food for a while, he couldn't just watch her. Takeji knelt down and petted her head. "Don't worry, it's alright. Are you hungry?" He spoke softly to the scared cat, trying to comfort her. He put the rest of the food in front of her with a friendly smile, and kept stroking her fur gently.
