Coming here on something unrelated to a job was a nice change from the normal trend of the Magic Council sending her on menial tasks. She seemed to be assigned a lot more of those lately. Although, she was able to meet a mage from Crystal Swan that seemed sane unlike the rest of them. It was a refreshing feeling to know that she was going to get time off for once. Either way, the holy mage had begun packing her bags the night before. Arthur watched the Wizard Saint as she sat on her suitcase in order to keep the mess of clothes in order. The former king simply sighed as he asked,
"So, would you like to tell me why you are packing your bags when you have..." The Heroic Spirit punctuated his statement with creating a portal to Arcadia that floated delicately above his palm. Lilium's eyes glanced at her suitcase before looking at the portal. Scratching the back of her head sheepishly, the holy mage would avoid the king's gaze while she spoke,
"I thought it'd be fun to almost pretend I wasn't a mage while I was on vacation." Arthur raised a single eyebrow in a questioning manner and after he sighed, closing his eyes as he brought a suitcase out of the portal.
"Fine. My bags are packed. Are you ready?" The holy mage smiled somewhat brightly as she grabbed the suitcase and held it firmly on her side. It couldn't hurt them both to just pretend they were just going on vacation as regular people. It was rare that they ever got a chance to relax so that is probably why she wanted to act this way. She has worked extremely hard lately so why not indulge her with this for a little while. The pair exited Black Rose and headed toward the train platform.
While waiting on the train platform, the holy mage caught Arthur's outfit and gave him somewhat of a sideways glance. For being dead for millennia, he really adapted well to fashion trends of this generation. He looked like he could pass for a youth of this generation. In fact, he was attracting the gaze of other females in the platform, who were straight up gawking at the man's physique. There were some males with envious gazes as well but Arthur remained completely oblivious to the fact. Ah, he was completely dense, wasn't he? Chuckling to herself, the king would look at his Master as she laughed.
"What happened?" The holy mage looked around at the people who were staring dramatically, to call Arthur's attention to the admirers that were present.
"How can you not see this?" Arthur looked at the people who were staring as they broke their gaze in order to hide their eyes from the blond knight.
"I thought they were staring at you?" The laugh that came out of Lilium made Arthur somewhat awkward. Yeesh, she had a really low opinion of herself based on that. Although, trying to hide it behind jokes was usually fine, she was straight up bullying herself sometimes.
"Why would they look at me? They were obviously staring at you." The holy mage would make playful eye gestures while slyly indicating to a group of girls who were trying to discreetly stare at him.
"Why don't you try to indulge yourself? It could be fun." Normally, she really disapproved to flings but she was mostly saying it in jest to the knight because she knows he gets easily flustered. However, Arthur blankly stared at Lilium as he held up his left hand up to Lilium. Her eyes widened when she saw the wedding band on his ring finger. Oh yeah, he got married.
Oh yeah, he had a kid.
The holy mage looked away somewhat awkwardly, as Arthur chuckled.
"I only have eyes for my wife." The holy mage rolled her eyes as she kicked Arthur gently because the train was here.
"Let's go." The holy knight gazed over his shoulders to the guys that were glaring at him. They seemed to get more mad when he stuck closer to the holy mage. He looked at the oblivious blonde as he sighed. She really was the oblivious one. She couldn't tell at all when people were staring at her. How would she have reacted to those guys if she was alone. In all honesty, she probably would have scared them away with her self deprecating jokes. Smiling, the holy mage would sigh as she stepped onto the train. Arthur placed his hand on the holy mage's back as she almost fell forwards. Catching herself by stomping her foot, she'd glare at Arthur who would meet her glare with a smug smirk. Huffing, the holy mage would step onto the train as Arthur turned to the guys and gave them the same smug smile before the doors closed. He did only have eyes for his wife and Lilium was his Master but that doesn't mean he can't tease people who don't know either of them.
On the train, the holy mage had taken her iLac out of her bag and Arthur raised his eyebrow. She really was going all out with pretending she wasn't a mage. Some iLacs floated but she usually stored hers within Arcadia and as such, it was odd to see her simply pull it out of a bag as opposed to just pretend that she always used it like this. Placing some air pods within her eyes, the holy mage would adjust her iLac so that she would be able to listen to some music while passing the time away on the train ride. Arthur let out a big yawn as he leaned on the side of the wall so that he could fall asleep. It'd be easier on his neck if he leaned against a wall instead of his Master but it'd be funnier in the end if he restricted her by falling asleep on her. The holy mage opened Lacrimagram as she sighed. She never opened this app, so she wasn't sure what to do. Her feed seemed to be filled with pictures of the Crystal Swan guild master as she was the only person that she followed. She also seemed to be extremely active on the app, as there was a post every couple of hours. The holy mage clicked the tab that showed her profile. Not a single photo but it was verified as being her. Whatever that meant. Her eyes widened slightly when she saw the followers. Why did she have so many when she never used the app. Were people expecting her to post? The holy mage let out another sigh as she looked at the scenery as they passed by a plain that was decorated with the sunset. Angling the camera on her iLac to face the scenery, the holy mage snapped a picture. Smiling gently, the holy mage thought it was pretty nice to be able to record certain moments even if she is more partial to simply remembering what happened. Uploading the photo with the caption that said "Vacation days await!" The holy mage would start listening to her music as the gentleness of the morning hours coaxed her to falling asleep. The train they were on was one that could travel underwater so the switch between the land and the sea went unnoticed as they traveled to the island.
Glancing at the surrounding area, the holy mage wearily opened her eyes as Arthur nudged her gently to wake up the sleeping mage. Standing up the holy mage would lift her suitcase with one arm as she began to walk off the train. Sighing, the holy mage would rub her eyes as she stepped onto the train platform. The sea breeze hit her face as the Wizard Saint had to secure her hat into place while she stared at the area. In front of her, there was a beautiful hotel that completely captured the beauty of the beach. Smiling, the holy mage would look at Arthur eagerly as he chuckled. The duo began walking through the beach to arrive at the hotel. She was able to get reservations in one of the executive rooms due to her status as a mage. But, if any issues came up, she would have to help as necessary. Crossing her fingers, the holy mage would silently pray that it wouldn't have to come to that on this vacation.
Stepping into the lobby, the holy mage would instantly be met with valet who took their bags and took them directly to their room with teleporters that were in the lobby. It was rare to see a hotel that used magic for such simple tasks. It was a fun sight to say the least. Smiling, the holy mage would take her hat off as she walked to the teleporter with Arthur quick to follow. The coordinates that they were teleporting to were already preset to their room so it was instantaneous that the duo were in their room. The double bed suite as requested was as luxury as they come being filled with two bathrooms and a Jacuzzi that overlooked the beach. It was going to be a nice week. However, the holy mage saw a black envelope next to her TV. Sighing, the holy mage would groan as she opened the letter that was from the Magic Council. Just her luck! There was something that needed to be done before all else. Her eyes gazing over the contents of the letter, she'd quickly repeat the situation to herself. There was a siren who placed half of her powers in a cove nearby and the general populace was going mad for the power that a siren's heart has. Either way, it was a race to find the half before some person who couldn't handle the power got it. Sighing, the holy mage would look at the request again. If she was a siren, that meant she had to go near water, which probably meant swimming. Her body getting covered in a golden shimmer, the holy mage would wear a black headband with a matching black bikini top and bottom. It was showing a little too much all the time so the holy mage summoned a light blue cover up to wear if she needed to fight. Summoning a pair of black flip flops, the holy mage would turn to Arthur who was still in his casual clothing. He'd look at her get up before donning an outfit that had a similar style of hoodie shirt with a pair of blue swimming trunks and a pair of goggles on his head. Removing her braid from her cover up, the holy mage would snap her fingers as she teleported to the beach with Arthur.
Her flip flops would be filled with hot sand as she looked at the crystal blue ocean. Ah, it was such a beautiful sight but it was a shame that they couldn't enjoy it right away. Sighing, the holy mage would turn to Arthur who tossed a beach ball at her. Smiling with a fake offended expression, the Heroic Spirit would say,
"It never said we had to actively look or look right away. We can enjoy ourselves a little first." The holy mage thought about the situation for a little while. She was confident in her strength that she could take down the person who got their hands on the half anyways. She was not weak. She was a Wizard Saint and could take care of the situation alone if it came to it. Smiling, the holy mage would serve the beach ball similar to a volleyball back at her Heroic Spirit as they played a couple of rallies back and forth. Lilium spiked the ball in order to get Arthur to move around more but he ended up missing it. The ball bounced away as the Ace of Black Rose playfully waved bye to her Heroic Spirit, indicating she had no intention of getting the ball. Arthur rolled his eyes before sighing with a smirk settling on his face. Jogging towards the ball, the holy knight would lay eyes upon a familiar idol who was playing pop music. Smiling, Arthur would gesture for Lilium to come over. She saw who was on the beach as she smiled softly. The guild master of Crystal Swan was someone she could easily talk to regardless of situation. Waving her hand, the holy mage would call out to the light purple haired woman.
"Hey! Desirée!" Standing next to Arthur, the holy mage would steal the beach ball as she continued.
"How are you doing? I didn't expect to see anyone that I knew here." Arthur smiled at his Master. She was doing a better job of talking to her compared to last time where the knight held most of the conversations. The holy mage would be spinning the ball in her grasp while gazing at the scenery, also ready for a response from the idol. If she had to work with the guild master on the job, she wouldn't mind one bit as the two worked well together.
