The sky was dark, the air was stagnant, no wind could be felt, and speckling stars blinking overhead, as the black clad mage walked at a measured pace. He was no in a hurry, but he only had a few more hours of darkness. As such, Markus would prefer to be Magnolia before the sun rose in the distance. He had just finished a job, and had been away from the guild for a while.

Turing his whole body the mage examined the tall brush of unkempt, dying grass, the lonely trees. He felt the itch of the cold, half-dead leaves brushing his neck. Both in front, and behind him the trail he was traveling on spaned on.

Taking a deep breath he looked around. The land was pretty baron, he could see no other travelers. Though, that was not supring very few came this route, most striking to the train lines, and even then most would be asleep at this time. Not far in front of him, maybe another couple miles, he could see the shining city that is Magnolia. If his calculations were correct, he would be there just as the sun started to rise.

Magnolia was a nice enough city, maybe even too nice. He was never one to trust what lay on the outside. When he had first arrived in the city it was days before he joined the well know guild. Fairy Tail, that had been some time ago now. He was still a new member, the newest in fact, but there were a few other mages he had started to call ally.

Suddenly, Markus stopped in his tracks. He felt it, a strange feeling he had gotten used to since becoming a mage. In the back of his mind, a pull, a whisper, a warning. He knew now that it was his sensory skills, there was magic nearby. Glancing about, the mage saw nothing. His hands started to crackle with dark magic…

His shadow started to shift, Hela was preparing for any sort of attack.

The ground around him burst into a black conflagration of demonic flame, Markus already fearing fire took a step back remembering his past. He had hated fire since he lost his brother as a child. He never told anyone, not even his parents, what actually happened that night.

Then, from the ground itself, a clawed hand, deep red in color, and large enough to grab his waist reached forward. It was the hand of a demon, an evil creature, Markus had a little experience with them and as much as he wanted to, he could not get himself to move.

In his haze, Markus could only freeze as the massive claw started to grabbed him, dragging him down, through the fire and ground. Where once the black clad mage was traveling, suddenly in that area was nothing but a black spot on the ground. Markus, was nowhere to be seen.

Cassidy felt herself begin to change as she looked to see that the sun was slowly beginning to fall. Cassidy started to curse to herself, knowing what was soon to come. With her powers of owning the arsenal of princess's, came a price. Like all sides of politics, came a good side and a bad side. A princess was always to show her good side in public as well as be good by herself. However, they needed to have a dark side that let them do their job. Without a dark side, they would never be able to gain allies or make decisions that would be good for her people. So, that was what happened when it came to Cassidy's magic. Whenever the day falls, Cassidy is left to her bad side while her good side sleeps. It's almost like Cassidy doesn't sleep, but really, each of her sides take turns resting. As Cassidy was in thought, she felt the pain of her dark side taking over. With one tiny blink, her face of fear turned into a smirk.

Even though this side of her was dubbed to be evil, it never actually was that evil. Her good side was pure, but confident, strong willed, and all around strong. Her dark side was the same, but it portrayed a cold side to her, almost like that pureness had turned into a rude nature. She hated others to see her this way, but this side of her liked to get jobs done quickly and didn't care what means they went through even if it involved killing. She wasn't like a regular evil person, but she still had that side to her. She kept most of it under wraps, by being serious and proper. That was the true way a princess showed her dark side after all. Looking around, she wondered if there were any jobs should could do. Maybe, she could get some new allies that could help her navigate her way to the top, to be seen as a true princess. The more allies she gained, the clearer her path will become.

All of a sudden, she felt it. She felt a ripple in the area of magic around her. It was subtle, but she could tell that the strength was immense. She tried to quickly summon her requips, but she felt a sudden drop beneath her. it was almost as though she had phased through the ground. As she looked around her, she saw that a mysterious pool of water had formed around her. She tried to get out, but it seemed like the surface of the water was some sort of force field sent to trap her in it. She looked to her right and saw a girl. She didn't look human. Instead, she looked demon like in stature. With a loud and angry yell, Cassidy barked at her, "What is the meaning of this! Let me go this instance!" With a little smile, the blue haired girl looked back to her and said, "Don't worry, both of those things will happen in due time! Don't give me the need to subdue you." Cassidy let out a deep growl as she gritted her teeth. She didn't want to give that snarky girl the right to think she could just rule over her, but Cassidy was stuck in a bad situation. She may be hot headed during that time of the day, but she wasn't dumb not during the day or night.

    Black

Suddenly, Markus found himself somewhere new, somewhere… alien. Markus senses felt as if they were on fire, as if they were crazy, twisted, corrupt. Nothing matched what he was used to, nothing felt right, every cell in his body was trying to adjust, every nerve tingles at the strange sensations. The air smell weird, toxic it burned his nose. The ground looked different, brighter, red, his eyes squinted. He could hear simmering, though he could not find the source.

The sky was dark, not nighttime dark, but just dark dark, as if there was no true sun, no stars, no brightness. However, that was the strangest part, somehow, Markus could see without issue, it is as if the entire area was awash with a glow, a strange… evil, demonic thing. Yet, it only got stranger from there, if such a thing was possible.

The ground was barren, rock, lifeless, and it stretched onwards without change, no mountains, no forests, no rivers. Markus was not sure what to think of this place. That's when it hit him… This place was no longer earthland, this place was no longer… normal. Markus was not sure if it was a construct, a dream, or what but he knew he was no longer in Fiore. He could not wrap his head around how he got here, but he remembered fire. And… a female, red eyes, hair.

That's when he saw it, stretching off in both directions, creatures, humanoids… demons. He saw all shapes, all sizes. The majority were small dressed in nothing but rags, and carrying nothing but dull, broken swords, small horns, thin bodies, their eyes bloodshot.

Scattered among them, he saw the soldiers, the fighters. Larger demons, horns, spikes, and dark corrupt eyes. They were better dressed, with chain male, and wicked blades. They looked ready to kill, ready to fight. Yet not one of them moved.

Finally, he saw the commanders, the officers, the leaders. Sitting aboard dark chariots pulled by darker horses. They looked outwards, menacingly, eyes dark with rage, with deadly intent. It was at that moment Markus realized what was going on. Somehow, he was pulled into the middle of a large scale battle, a war between demons. That is when he realized, the demons definitely belonged to different factions, half were blue in color, not all of them were like that, but he could see it in their skin, their eyes, as if it was ice. The rest were red, almost burned. He wondered what they were waiting for.

As he looked around, trying to determine how he would free himself, how he would survive he found himself face to face with the generals. He knew, without a doubt, that they were the leaders, he could feel their power radiating, threatening to overcome him. Looking at them, he realized they were beautiful. He found himself looking at two female, as opposite as possible, yet sisters without a doubt.

They were smiling back at him, he realized however that these smiles were not.. Human. They were not warm, not friendly. Looking upon them, Markus decided these smiles would be the exact smile a cat would give a mouse before giving chase.

Looking over, Markus realized he was not alone. Not far from him was a female, he could tell she was a mage, well dressed, and powerful. Markus was used to using his sensory magics, he was certain like him, she was not demonic, not from this place. Wherever they were.

Suddenly, Markus heard the demons speak up. “Hello, and welcome!” The female with blue hair spoke, her arms opening in an extravagant way. “We are SOOOO glad you can make it!” She spoke cheerfully, as if Markus and the female were invited to tea. The black clad mage narrowed his eyes.

“Names Misaki.” The female spoke, happy and cheerful as ever.

“Masaki…” The female with glowing red eyes spoke, she was not nearly as cheerful, her voice was fierce, passionate, and strong.

“We need you, Mages, or at least. We need your powers.” The pink haired demon said. She smiled once more, the smile of a demon, dark and twisted. “And, you will help us decide.” She finished.

Cassidy had been trying to get out of the grasp of the demon for ages now, without the demon realizing it. However, her magic was strong, stronger than Cassidy could get out of. As she struggled in the pool she was in, she felt a sudden stop as the demoness woman said to Cassidy with glee in her eyes, "We're here!" Cassidy looked around, clearly knowing that this area was one of a battlefield. Scattered around the area were other demons, most likely the soldiers of the different factions. Cassidy raised her eyebrow at the area, wondering why she would be needed to be brought to an area like this. Clearly, she wasn't to be used as a sacrifice on the ground of the area she was on. As she began to observe the area more and more, she looked to her left to see a man there. He was clearly not a demon, or at least he was hiding it very well. Either way, she sensed a strong magical sense from him that made him feel more human than demon. He must've been a mage like her. Question was, why were they both in the same area. Was she picked off of the road, just like him or did he just stumble across the war and captured? For now, Cassidy couldn't tell. So, she just sat in the pool of water, that was not actually getting her wet, and just kept listening. From what Cassidy had heard, the demons were sisters, or maybe even doppelgangers. From then on, they started to begin to state the agenda that was needing to be resolved.

The blue haired girl, Misaka said to the two of them, "Oh sister, its not that serious. All we need is for these two mages to help the one side kill the other." The other girl rolled her eyes and muttered back to herself, "Sure, that sounds way less morbid..." With a deep sigh, the red headed girl continued on with her sister's sentence. "You see, we started a little war to decide on who shall claim the throne our late father had left for us. However, each of us have different way we want to rule. So, we began to start the war, but in the end we became even. Thats why we needed some sort of fun tiebreaker, or whatever my idiotic sister said. That's why we picked you two. For whatever reason, I don't know. We just picked any strong magic sources that came our way." In the middle of her sentence, the blue haired girl cut off her sister and began saying, "Well, what I think about the throne, is that all of these demons are so stuck in their way of just destruction. I, however, think that we should create some sort of trade with Earthland like my sister. Even though we both believe that this should happen, my sister thinks that fear is the best way to force this trade. For me, I think that becoming friends with the leaders of Earthland will easily bring us to the top. With fear, they will only push us away, not closer. Friendship will sail us right to their hearts, and bring us closer. With only fear, we will accomplish nothing. Now then, my sister will speak for her so called reason as I go over there and plug my ears and shout out lalalalala. Once she finishes, you two can talk amongst yourselves and choose who's side you want to be on!" As the girl walked over to the trees, Cassidy rolled her eyes. Although Cassidy knew the girl had a point, she just hated her so much. Maybe her other form would like this girl better, but during the night, she couldn't help but have the feeling to stab herself with one of her requips. As she contemplated siding with the girl, she looked over to see what the other girl was going to say.

War Between Sisters [Job, Private] Empty Re: War Between Sisters [Job, Private]

Markus listened passively as the sisters spoke, for the most part he could care less about any war, or helping either of the sisters, but he knew he had no real choice. As such, he listened, waiting, and stood there. Markus was unsure why the sisters chose either of them, they were not the most powerful of mages, but that was probably the point. They were probably as strong as these demons could manage to kidnap. This gave the black clad mage a little hope, he doubted their task would be easy, or that either of the two demons cared if they died, however he now knew it was not impossible.

As they continued to talk Markus listened passively, so they did need their power… They needed someone, or someones to settle their little sibling rivalry. Markus signed as the blue haired sister gave her reasons, her thoughts, her beliefs. She sounded naive, but hopeful. So they wished to start trading with earthland. Why did they need a war to decide now? He realised he would get nowhere if he kept trying to understand demons, as such he waited as the Red haired female started to speak.

“As my sister so… politely, put it. We need you to settle our little argument. I however feel Earthland will never trade with us, if they do not fear us. After all we are demons. It is clear that friendship will only lead to hostilities. They already fear demons, that is the point. I feel we should use that fear, feaster it, develop it. That is how we will develop our trade. We do not have to be friends, for it to be in the best interest of both the demons and the humans to trade.” The redhead said simply, cutting to the point.

“Now talk.” She finished, waving her hands. Markus felt his muscles relax, he knew they probably did not have long.

Markus glanced over at the female mage, for the first time really looking at her, sizing her up, making decisions. In this, Markus could care less, if it was not for the fact that he was sure there was no way to leave without playing their game he would attack them both right now.

“Thoughts?” Markus said, his voice passive, emotionless. “If I am being honest, I could give a damn, however… It seems we are not getting out of this without making a decision.”
