Drachma, the land of dragons (Part 2)

Recap: Quill had gotten a letter from the Empress of Drachma, Quill's homeland. The letter told him to return to Drachma but does not say why. As Quill is getting ready to leave some of his guild mates tagged along to see the land that is filled with Dragons. After the people that were coming, had gotten on they traveled to the land of Dragons, Drachma. Now Quill and his guild mates must see the empress of Drachma where he hopes no one does something stupid.

Quill looked around a bit and said,"A bit strange being back in my homeland after such a long time. Hey i will take you guys shopping after I finish my business with the empress." Quill then started to walk towards a massive castle like structure that was in the center of the city, hopefully everyone is smart and follows him and waits outside the castle while everything finished up.

Leona waited outside the castle. It was dull and uneventful, but she would get through it. She was told not to directly interact with the townspeople, so she would not interact with them. Besides, she still felt terrible from the lag. Interacting with others would not be a good idea right now.

Leona sat on the ground with her back against the wall. Maybe the townspeople would leave her alone. Hopefully the town guard would also leave her alone.

Quill had gotten to the main chamber where the empress, he kneel and bowed his head, the empress then said,"Royal Dragon Guard Quill Scorchwood I have asked you here in hopes that you have the weapon i asked you to make from Argon crystals is finished. If it is not you will be slain on the spot if not I will hold up my end of the deal and give you what you ask for." Quill then presents a strange looking weapon, i looked like a lance and a gun combined. The empress examins the weapon for a while finally using it, it has explosive power to it and seemed to suit her way of fighting. She then said,"You have held up your end of the deal, now i shall myself. Come back in 3 days and i shall give you what i have promised." With that Quill leaves the chamber and reunites with Leo and tells her,"Well we are going to stay here for a while Leona, I hope that is okay with you."

Leona hardly blinked when Quill stated that they were going to be here for awhile.

"Fine by me, Quill. There's nothing urgent for me to do back in Fiore." Leona calmly assured him. Aside from being in a completely foreign land with people she was not supposed to talk to, she was fine with Drachma. It was a different place and she liked to travel to different places.

Then a question came up.

"About how long are you talking, Quill?" Leona inquired. She had packed enough food and water for about three days. Any longer and she would run out.

"Well counting today, 3 days. And don't worry, I have a place we can stay and it is close by to but that is if you want to go there now, we can explore for a but if you like." The capital was a very big place and Quill did have a place in it, the reason why he is not using Paradise is because he was in such a big rush that he forgot to bring it."I should also mention that I forgot Paradise's key so we have to stay at my place that I have hear, i am sorry but it is still very nice non the less."

"All right. I can manage three days. I brought enough supplies for that length of time." Leona said to Quill. She could last that long off of what she had brought. It made her pack heavier than usual, but it did not bother her too much.

"I'd like to see your place, Quill. There will be plenty of time to explore later." Leona requested. She did not feel up to exploring today. That could wait for tomorrow.

Quill then lead Leona to the home he spoke of, it was basically a mansion complete with a massive front yard, huge building and a huge dragon fountain in the front as well,"Well this is the place, I know its overkill but this is meant to serve as the home of the 5 title soldiers, you already know i am one of them the other for are half and half when it comes to gender so don't worry. Oh and one more warning, do not follow any of them into their room because things work differently here then in earthland." As he finished he enter the place and is immediately tackled down by a girl who looks like she is in her, the girl has a peach scrunchy that is tying her hair in twin tails. Quill then groan and said,"It is good to see you to, Tiny sharpshoot general Momo Blossom, Leona this is my war buddy Momo she is the the perfect scout and best sharp shoot in empire." The girl blush a little and said,"Oh stop it, your going to make me want to marry you." "For the last time Momo I will not let you be my battle wife must you are still to young for that."

OOC: In Drachma a wife is not a partner for legal peruse but as a partner for life in a current feel like business or combat, depending on what kind of partnership it is will depend on how the ceremony will look like.

Momo Blossom:

Leona listened to Quill in silence. She was permitted to speak with him, but anyone else was off-limits. She was fine with that... mostly. It was not like any of the residents of Drachma were lining up to talk to her. Still, rules were rules.

Leona followed in silence as Quill explained how the home of the five "Title Soldiers" worked. There was a split down the middle in gender. She was not allowed to follow them into their rooms. She had no problem with that. Avoiding the extreme xenophobes meant that the blonde might live to see Fiore again.

That line of thought was broken when a pink-haired girl "attacked" Quill. Leona watched silently as the two met again. So Quill knew the pink-haired girl, who was named Momo. Leona was not very surprised that he had a girl in Drachma. He always seemed to have a thing for the ladies. Or maybe the ladies had a thing for him... she was not entirely sure which way it went.

"Momo how have you been, did your bother ever get over the fact that no girl wants to marry him." "No he is still on that, but i want to know who this sexy looking gal you have here, is she another one of your harem." Quill knocks her on the head in rage and says,"Momo we have been over this millions of times, that quote 'harem' was due to after effects from using a dragon god champion form and you know that. Anyway, she is a friend of mine that I have met during my travels, actually she is my guildmate." Momo looked at her for a second and said,"Well then, nice to meet you, please feel free to slug my brother in the gut if you see him. Anyway, besides me Kenny (Momo's brother), Crystal, and Mark are all here and i am guessing you finally get to do you know to you know who." Quill grunts in frustration,"Yes, now can we not talk about it any further around the outsider." "I mean its a very big deal for everyone in the empire since its the highest honor, and i bet that that weapon is powerful as the war dragon god is."

Leona, a part of Quill's harem? How amusing. How wrong Momo was. Someone had tried to add her to their harem and got a dozen punches to the face for it. That was two years ago.

Leona kept quiet and let Quill do the talking. It was difficult, but it was necessary. She was in foreign territory and in the presence of a high-ranking military officer. She had no idea how Momo would react to being spoken to by a foreigner.

Quill hinted at something that could not be discussed around an outsider. Leona knew perfectly well who "the outsider" was. He need not have worried. She did not care about any of Drachma's secrets. She had other concerns.

After saying that Momo finally got off of Quill and said,"Okay Quill, i will tell the staff of your return." Quill nod and looked a Leona who seemed to be quite though the whole thing,"Leo you do know you can talk to people when you are around me right? I only said that so you wouldn't get in trouble with others while i was doing my business at the castle. Okay, lets go and get everything set up for the night at the mansion." Once they had gotten to the front door, a line of maids with strange outfits on and butlers with similar outfits all greeted Quill and Leona also waiting for them was a girl with short blue hair waiting on top of the stairs.

The Girl:

Leona blushed in embarrassment. She could have talked to Momo? She had forgotten that she could talk to people of Drachma when he was around.

"I completely forgot that fact. It sounds dumb, but it's true." Leona admitted, her face burning beet-red. At least she knew now. Better late than never. She spotted a blue-haired girl waiting for them at the top of the stairs.

"Hey Quill, is she another one of your military colleagues?" Leona asked him.

Quill groan once more and said,"Yes, she is one of them. Her name is Crystal Lockheart better known as the Lock and Key general." "Well then, its nice to see you to and i see you brought a outsider whore with you." "And I have seen that your still a massive bitch, and no she is my guildmate and friend. Leona go with the servant on your left to the room you will be staying in. Also DON'T YOU DARE TAKE HER THAT ROOM SERVANT." "Why not to that room, are you going soft on us and rejecting your primal urges." Quill then goes ballistic on Crystal and gets into a all out brawl with her, it got violent fast.

Leona frowned when the blue-haired girl implied that the Desierto native was liberal when it came to dispensing sexual favors. Crystal Lockheart had just given herself such a punchable face. However, as a native of Drachma, Quill had certain privileges that Leona lacked. One among them was sorting out fellow natives who insulted Leona. The blonde would leave the fighting to Quill.

She was confused by the orders to the servant. One moment she was to follow the servant. The next she was told to remain in place. What was Leona to do?

Leona stayed where she was, careful not to go into any rooms she should not go into.

After smashing the brat though several walls and broken some of her ribs, she was steaming. What is little known about Crystal is that she is aroused by pain and that is what she was aiming for."AND NEVER TALK TO ME OR ANY OF MY FRIENDS LIKE THAT AGAIN." Quill then spits onto her face and she says,"My god I miss your brutal way of combat." From the 2 encounters that have been seen so far, you can start to see why Quill left on his journey to get away from these people. Quill then walked up to Leona and told follow the servant. He then walked into a game room and say Mark Saber and Kenny Bloom which he then started to beat the tar out of them since they let Crystal greet them before they could.

After watching Quill beat down Crystal, Leona followed the servant. She was uncertain as to what would happen next. She already knew that some people of Drachma did not like her simply because she was not one of them. Whatever. They could keep to themselves and let the world pass them by for all the blonde cared.

Leona would do her best to keep clear of hostile Drachma. However, they heavily outnumbered her. She was also on their turf. Her work was cut out for her.

After that Quill went to his room and slept till the next day, in the morning Quill had breakfast and gotten dressed in his military uniform. In drachma, officers must wear the uniforms for one day a week. He found Leona and said,"I hope you are ready to see the many sites of my homeland, also it is recommend for you to wear dress today if you don't want to stick out like a sore thumb." It was the first Wednesday of the month and it is tradition that women wear a dress, soldiers wear their uniforms, and men to wear a nice outfit. It isn't a big thing but people do it so they look nice for at less one day.

Leona saw Quill approach in a dress uniform and listened to him tell her that she had to wear a dress today. Leona had to wear a dress? Great. She had forgotten to bring one in her supplies. It would have been wrinkled up by now.

"Sure Quill. I'll wear one. But there's one tiny problem. I didn't bring one with me." Leona told him. He had pulled rabbits out of the hat in the past. She was hoping that he could do it again.

Quill thought as much and had the servants go out yesterday and pick out some civilian combat dress out for Leona to where. The one she picked out would have to do, once she got dress they headed out to the shopping district first, there were many things, survive gear for all environments, jewelry, dresses, food, Dragons, and many other things up for sale. Quill then said,"Hey Leona, question, are you okay? I know Drachma is not your cup of tea but you have to admit that it has more flair to it then most other countries."

Leona saw the dress that Quill had brought her. Again Quill had come through in the clutch. He was a lifesaver.

"I like that dress, Quill. It'll do nicely. Thanks." Leona thanked him for coming to the rescue yet again. She liked the look of it. It did not show off too much, the pattern was good-looking and the metallic parts were eye-catching and vaguely reminiscent of dragon scales. She then recalled his question about Drachma.

"Drachma's... interesting. I've never been outside of Earthland before. I don't really have anything to compare it to." Leona answered carefully. She was sure that someone besides Quill was listening to her. There were probably spies assigned to monitor her every move and word.

"Well Drachma is a bit strange when it comes to most parts, I mean each city is require a red light district with at less 45 staff people in all. Oh would you like to try some dragon fried meat sticks?" Quill had walked up to a vender that was selling some shish kabobs that were being cooked by a tiny dragon that got some eggs ever few of shish kabob that was made, the tiny dragon seemed happy after eating the egg. Quill then hands her one and started eating his. It was good and he missed the smokey flavor of his homelands cooking, he then looks at Leona and said,"You do know you can speak your mind, Drachma rarely bring in guess but we don't spy on them 24/7, as long as you stick near me you should be find and not meet the fate of so many outsiders before you." Most outsider woman get mistake as a Drachma woman and ya, thats best left unsaid.

Leona indicated interest in trying the dragon fried meat sticks. Less savory was the information that each city was required to have a red light district. She was not put off for too long because she had heard about the "pleasure districts" in Desierto's big cities. She had heard talk that the sultans themselves paid occasional visits to the districts, but anyone of legal age was welcome to partake of what was offered. If they had the Jewels, all visitors would be... entertained.

"Red-light districts, huh? Reminds me of the pleasure districts back home in Desierto. The sultans gave up on banning them and let them remain, but they're heavily regulated." Leona chimed in.

"Sex is the biggest draw. However, it's not all about sex. If you're into street theater, professional theater, or musical performances, they're available too. So is gambling on racing, both human track running and animal races. The last I heard, thoroughbred horse racing's getting to be a big thing." Leona added. She had not been there herself, but her father and some of the villagers of Nebdoui had told her tales about the pleasure districts. Her mother Sophia hated them for numerous reasons, but mostly because of the sex work conducted there.

"I'll stay with you, Quill." Leona said after Quill hinted at what would happen if they got separated.

"Hey, I am all down in doing the dirty tango since Drachman can't contract or spread STDs, got to love them mix genes though i am not as picky as most of they guys here but i am guessing you are waiting to find the perfect one. Can't say i blame ya for wanting that kind of life but you also have to remember that eventually your body will start to want it, I just hope you find the person you want to do that kind of stuff mean while i'll just be out living all of my friend and return back here." It was sad to say but he didn't let it bug him, he then brought Leona to a spot where they can see the open fields and forest of Drachma."Its not very far away from a beach from here, though most people don't go there because of transport issues. We can head over there tomorrow if you like."

Leona blinked. Did Quill just...? He did. He most certainly did. There was no mistaking his intent.

Leona was not sure how to react to such a straightforward statement. It was all so sudden. One moment they were talking about the red-light districts of their homes and the next Quill brought up the idea of intercourse.

Leona decided to let the issue quietly drop and focused on the beach.

"Yeah, I'd like to go to that beach." Leona said to Quill.
