History
Lyra suffered a horrible childhood. Her parents died when she was young when they both went to take an S-class job and never came back. Her worst memory was seeing both their bodies in a box.
From then on she lived with her aunt which mistreated her a lot. Her aunt always insulted her and told her that she will never succeed. Her neighbors also discouraged her a lot. The kids in their neighborhood wouldn't let her play with them and would tell her the same thing her aunt would. She never had any friends.
So one night, she ran away, not knowing where to go. She had enough of their insults, enough of their words, enough of their faces. And she retreated, ready to give up.
But there came a glimpse of hope. A stranger all dressed in black came and found her. Soon he found out that she was a mage. And so he decided to train her. And that was then when she knew the power of Gun Magic.
Then suddenly, Lyra was determined to win. She was determined to be the best. She was determined to avenge her parents.
But his mentor's days were short. He died on a job to protect a noble man. But what's worse, is that he died because of her. She asked him if she could go and he agreed. But an incident happened. They were surrounded. And in order to save her, her mentor died. He died before her eyes.
Since then she trained by herself. She didn't have a place to stay so she kept moving from one place to another, trying to find any luck. She tried a couple of jobs available in towns she visited but still her heart told her she was to be a gunner. And she went for it. She trained herself day and night, in between jobs even. She dueled with people in the streets sometimes as well, trying to earn jewels in order to buy her some bullets and maybe a new gun.
Then a day came when she rode on a train, and sat along with a person who talked a lot about guilds and how they worked. It was interesting in a way. It seemed to be beautiful to have the 'family' the guy was talking about. Since then she started to dream of becoming a member of a guild, a great guild. But everytime she has the chance to sign up, she'd feel like she's too weak. Which only pursued her to train more and to train harder, until she feels strong. And then she'll be a part of a guild. She'll probably even have friends or family... And then together with her team, they'd avenge her parents and her mentor; her main goal. Revenge. It is what keeps her on fire, that burning passion to kill those who killed.
Though she is hurt, she tends to stand and move on. Because she knows that nothing will happen if she gives up. She will be in a guild one day, she will be strong and she will be the best female gunner there ever was.

*A trip back to when she was small, when she ran away from her aunt*
"Your nothing but trouble!" Her aunt always yelled at her. And she was normally used to it.
But now she was just tired. Tired of being ripped off of the pleasures of life. Tired of her misery in this cold place her aunt calls home.
Cold sweat and tears ran down her body. She choked sobs from time to time and only stared at her feet as her yelled at her those words which would always make her feel like she's nothing.
It opened Lyra's eyes to what she was missing.
The love of a parent.
If only they didn't die on the job. If only they were still alive. If only they were with me right now. If only...
"Ah!" she wailed as her aunt ran her whip across her back.
"You gave me nothing but garbage for the past 9 years!" shouted her aunt. It was the usual event in the house. A yell after the other. For such a small mistake...
"Your parents were pathetic!" her aunt shouted still. But now she was angry. Now she was set to fire. "And so are you!" her aunt continued as she tried to run her whip against Lyra's back again.
But someone took a hold of it.
"Nobody calls my parent pathetic" It was Lyra, glaring at her aunt with pure anger. "Nobody, not one" Her eyes were flaming red as she continued to glare at the woman. She didn't want to be here. She just didn't.
She opened her eyes in horror. She found herself standing on the train station at 9 pm with ragged clothes in a dirty brown bag on her back. She only had a red ticket on her hands, which she bought with the most of her savings. And now she's broke.
Cold liquid dripped through her body. Her tears and blood mixed with the rain that fell. A stinging sensation came from the slash across her back. And she started to sob again. Nothing felt right. She didn't know what's next. All she knew was that she was finally away from that ugly place.
Lyra sat blankly on the platform. While the sky rained down on her.
She's arrived. To a place he doesn't even know where.
It was in the middle of the day. And she doesn't know what to do. And she was homeless, penniless and hurt.
People were staring at her. Blood marks showed on the back part of her beak shirt. Her back still stung with 5 whip slashes. And it was merely killing her. She lost some blood. And she's barely breathing. She knew very well that her life was draining. And she had nothing to do about it than sit down and wait until her end.
A tear rolled on her cheek as she realized this was the end. Maybe she'll finally be with her parents.
If she dies today.
"Hey, you'll get a cold if stay here." A voice crooned to him. It was gentle, sweet, warm. Could this possibly be what kindness sounds like?
She built up the courage to look up with weary eyes yearning for help. She saw a man all dressed in black. He smiled at her.
He helped her.
