Job Title: Whiteshire: The Salt Workers
Rank: C Rank
Player Requirements: Must be C rank or, have at least 2 D rank mages. Must be in Onyx Moon Guild. 3,000 words per player.
Job Requirements: Figure out where the salt workers are, end any immediate dangers, inform the client on what is going on, and keep any salt workers safe.
Job Location: Tolgalen
Job Description: Some investors looking to make money go to dead salt Lake Usawoti to harvest the salt. They set up smaller tent-based encampments outside of the lake and send workers in to harvest salt by carrying buckets of water from the lake to the encampment for evaporation and collection. Usually the salt workers return to Whiteshire during the weekend or for supplies but many of the workers have gone missing. Investors and business men don't want to lose their workers (or their business) and have asked you to figure out where the workers have gone and put a stop to any local danger there may be. Go to the small town of Whiteshire to meet with the client, talk to salt workers and locals and then set out to the lake. There are monsters in the lake, disgruntled workers to deal with, and by the end of this job you will have found a cave leading underground with evidence that the missing workers have been dragged into it.
Enemies:
Weak: Traps (3-5): Various traps hidden in the windy grasslands surrounding the lake have been placed to capture large animals, or perhaps people specifically. As examples of traps: There are snare traps with ropes set up in mangrove trees, well hidden. There are pit traps beneath the grasses which are 15-20 feet deep. There are even trip wires hidden, set up using local vines and grasses, to cause enormous nets of rocks to fall down from above and bludgeon those caught underneath. But who set them up? Traps deal D rank damage, take 1 D rank to disarm.
Normal: Disgruntled Workers (5+) : The salt workers in their tents, in the town, and working near the lake are all on edge. It won't take much to set them off. Maybe just seeing your faces will do it! These poor overworked and underpaid individuals are frightened of losing their jobs but are also scared of monsters in the lake. They are likely to attack in melee using their fists or using objects/tools that they have on them. Workers deal D rank damage, take 2-3 D rank to disarm or defeat.
Strong: Young Matapo (1) : In the lake, it appears the rumors of the Matapo monster are true. These crocodile monsters are ambush predators without eyes, but much stronger smell and vibration senses. If one gets close to you, you are better off running away.. but if you have no other choice, fight hard and fight well. They are fierce predators which try to attack by hiding under the water of the murky lake, and ambushing those who get to close to the water's edge. They deal C rank damage with their claws, bite attack, and tail. Hitting them in close range could hurt you due to their natural armor spikes for D rank damage. They are incredibly fast in water, but about crocodile speed on land. This young Matapo is only 7 feet long and will need 6 D rank hits to defeat.

- Whiteshire:
There is a small town called Whiteshire set a few miles away from the lake for visitors to the windy prairie and the dead salt lake. Its name refers to the color of the mangroves on the lake. It is mostly filled with transient tourists, musicians, artists, scientists, and salt workers. A large business is set up in the town which sells all local goods and needs to people in the town. The business and most of the town is owned by the same employer of the salt workers, who are making a ton of money selling the 'salt from dead monster lake' as a magical component or an unusual food ingredient. The town has a population of less than 500 people consistently but offers the same amenities as most towns due to the many visitors. It has an adventurous backwoods atmosphere and is filled with creative and industrious people.
- Usawoti Lake:
A huge dead salt lake, has small brine shrimp, a large variety of migrating water fowl, some mangroves and reeds. Mostly devoid of life the lake is set in a windy prairie, miles away from the nearest city, and although the lake is known of, it is avoided by both people and animals alike for the fact that it is a big dead salt like and nothing really lives or grows there. The lake is large in size, 103 miles in length, 70 miles in width, but of various dips and depths. The high winds evaporate much of the water and make it hard for the lake to be replenished by rain, hence its high salt content. On very rare occasion scientists have visited for short time to study the water fowl. Despite being known, the lake is not mapped out on paper and until recent businessmen took an interest, it was not really visited for any particular reason.

- Matapo:
An old monster species lives in the lake, and has been there for many years. They never leave the lake, and nobody knows how they ended up in the lake in the first place. They are somewhat like crocodiles, 12 feet long, with massive claws, thick and sharp armor spikes, and two layers of sharp teeth. They have no eyes, but a good sense of smell, and can sense direction through use of pressure organs inside of his body (the same way fish that school can sense other fish in the area and move around without bumping into each other). Most of the original population has been dying out from starvation. The dead lake's bottom is littered with the bones of dead monsters, dead water fowl, and various other animals who ended up at the lake only to die at the jaws of these monsters. There are likely around 10-15 in the entire lake. To all others, scientists included, the monster is known as the Matapo Lizard or just the Matapo.
