The sun had started to scrape its way across the sky, from his guess it was already 5 or so hours after he had woken at dawn. Besides him one of the craftswoman sat with a paper pad and, pencil sketching away. With the new roses having grown to a better height it were time that they needed support, so the duo had their mind set on designing new garden trellises to aid the flowering plant in its growth. With bottles of water emptying fast they had both stripped down to the scant minimum clothing as for some reason the sun had decided to roast everyone alive on that day. Sending a slight glance towards the woman beside him the youth briefly touched her arm to gather her attention, it was a slight embarrassment wearing what was acceptable only whilst swimming. Yet he needed to get her attention, “Hey, Felica what about this design” yet the wind had blown the pages over, with his hand still on her forearm the page flipped to a double spread peonies across the page. The world swirled slightly, time flickered almost as he felt the sun vanish in exchange for a more cool light.
It was an odd feeling, for a moment a slight surge of euphoria before the lights flickered and his body floated softly. Almost as if he had been plunged into a dry swimming pool with his entire body supported.
Yet a moment later there was a cold table under him, the woman named Felica appeared unconscious beneath him. Lester’s brain was sore, he hadn’t teleported before, the rush of adrenaline leaving him tired was a first. With a slight mumble he ran his hand through his hair, releasing the mass as he rolled onto his side in an effort to look around.
