'Monster Dice' :

Naraku rose up from the ground and moved to one of the windows near the top of the building. If the boss was anywhere he would be near the top that she was certain of. Of course, finding them was the issue. It seemed a party had been going on of some kind because there were a lot of people inside who were not rune knights. One saw her and this caused a panic causing all fifty to flee out of various exits. Damn, she had hoped not to be spotted till she found the target. She pushed open the window with little work. Stealth was out of the window and she was now in the window. It was quite funny really, if you found trifling things amusing. Fortunately, there were no more people in this room. The rune knights were obviously distracted by Chelvaric. Perhaps stealth wasn't entirely out of the question.

Fluffy walked into the building behind Chelvaric. The hall was tall and wide. Large enough for him to assume his larger form, but not large enough to move swiftly in it. He had no choice though and once again let out a loud piercing howl that caused his body to glow and grow. In his large form he was much more dangerous. However, he was also a much bigger target. He had to kill as quickly as possible. The sudden change in his size was more than enough to catch them off guard and prevent a counter attack, but it was not enough to stop them defending. His claws took two apart with little effort though. Eighteen rune knights and 4 mages to go.

Chelvaric looked as the rune knights started to stumble in one by one. Fluffy was already howling again and growed in size. He ripped through the rune knights that already came to the top of the stairs. Chelvaric was waiting for the mages to come. In the meantime chelvaric gathered his wind on his under arms again to make his scimitars. One of the mage came out of the stairs and chelvaric slashed toward him. But it missed the mage. Chelvaric slashed his other arm and this time cut the arm of the mage behind him. The mage felt down from the pain. The rune knight’s started to close him in. and then the red card on chelvaric’s pants started to glow and change in to his pet. Miu was standing in her regular sweather with school skirt. Her scarf was hanging around her neck. She had long brown hair while she had one braid on the left side of her face. She had her big round shield and her spear ready for attacking. Her white neko tail was swinging. “I won’t let them hurt you boss.”, miu said as she attacked the rune knights. But they worked in team again and pushed her away from chelvaric. There were ten rune kngihts who had cornered him. “time for a big slice then I guess.”, chelvaric said as he starts to move the air around him. They all were about to stick there spears into chelvaric. When the air started to speed up and they were all caught in the wind wall. They were sliced up and spit out of the wall. Bodys cut up in pieces were laying around chelvaric while he was protected by the wall.

Chelvaric had done well. Much better than he had done previously having taken down one of the four big threats and on top of that a big chunk of knights. Now Fluffy didn't have to worry as much and lunged forward once more slashing out with his claws at a faster and faster pace. His claws and fangs were blur. The knights fought for their very lives, but not well enough and another three fell. Only two of them succeeded in injuring fluffy at all and only minorly. Of course, these minor wounds were building up, but Fluffy was still fighting fit. Two of the knights in their hurry to get out of his way and save their own skin actually cut down two of their allies. Five had fallen just from this assault.

The three mages however were still standing. One cast a large blast ofwwind at Fluffy, who dodged it without much difficulty. The others were preparing a larger spell. A mixture of water and earth by the looks of it. Likely to try and slow them down by covering them in mud and slime. Not good. Speed was their edge. "Bring the mages down Chel." the wolf barked. They were the real threat. One that would need to be brought down before they could advance any further. The knights were of little consequence. What with so few remaining.


Naraku meanwhile had taken a step into a room and as she did so found herself in a large cavern. Far too large to have been inside the mansion, particularly on the top floor. It was larger than the mansion itself and lit by flickering torches. However, there were plenty of shadows. Two voices spoke out.

"A fly has flown into our web Martha." the first said. Obviously male and quite posh. It immediately made her want to tear out the speakers throat.

"Indeed they have Charles. The same one as before I believe." this voice was female and again posh. Very irritating. Moreso than the other. She would take great pleasure in ripping this woman apart when she found her.

"I do believe you are right. Shall we show them why they should not try to end the life of the crimson lancer?" There was a simple yes from the other and then from the shadows emerged something that couldn't be real, but Naraku knew, by instinct it would hit like it was real. It was a massive spider, larger even than Fluffy. These two were taking the spider metaphor too far. Attacking it would be pointless. She needed to dodge and find out where they were. Unfortunately, her speed boost had faded and she would not be able to use it for a while. She should of cancelled it earlier and then she'd be able to use it sooner. However, she had expected to run into an opponent sooner than this. It was a foolish error.

chelvaric was stuck in his wind wall waiting for something to happen. But he wouldn’t have to worry as the mages were stupid enough to use their mud ball on his wall. The big ball of earth mixed with the water flew right on the wall. It exploded in a huge bang and both the wall and the mud ball disappeared. Chelvaric slashed his blades and they flew toward the mages. The wind mage mage a air wall and it got canceled out. miu in the meantime fought one of the rune kngihts. She tried to stab his leg but he blocked with his shield. And then tried to bash her. but miu was quick as a cat and could come behind the shield. She stabbed the knight trough his eye and pulled his spear back. The other rune knight came bashing against her shield. She barley got missed by the attack. After wards she tried to attack back. But his defenses were like iron and she couldn’t get through. Now that chelvarics wall was gone he ran to the rune knight miu was fighting. He took his forehead with his left hand and sliced his throat over. A fire ball flew right to chelvaric but he jumped over it. he ran to the mage while the others were still recovering from the spells. He slashed the leg of the mage off and then planted his spear in to his body against the wall. The spear was stuck and chelveric was pulling it.

The large wolf lunged forward with claws flailing and mouth biting. He was launching his full body into this assault. The mages in response launched off a large boulder and a huge jet of water, but the wolf wasn't dodging these blows. He knew for the rest of the mansion he'd be of no use due to the size of the halls so he was aiming to do what he could here.

The ferocity of the attack caused the mages to flinch and reduced the accuracy of their attacks enough that they missed bringing down the wall near the entrance. There would be no exiting through the front door easily. They managed to defend or dodge most of Fluffy's attacks, but one fell to his claws and was torn asunder. The other was more fearful now.

Naraku meanwhile was considering her best move. The shadows in this room were illusions. This room was illusion and the spider was an illusion. The voices had seemed to come from everywhere at once so she couldn't identify their position via sound, sight or shadow sense. Her best bet was to do some truly powerful spell in order to break the illusion. The question was what spell. She did not want to waste any. Then she had an idea. If the enemy were in range then this would disrupt the illusion and it was not really possible to counter unless you knew what you were expecting. She whistled. The whistle was no ordinary whistle. It was filled with dark energy and anyone who heard it would be disorientated and temporarily deafened.

The spider had lunged forward as she began to whistle. It moved fasted than she had expected and the first blow hit her sending her sliding backwards. For an illusion it certainly felt very realistic. Touch, scent, sight and sound were all being changed for her to make it seem real. However, she dodged the second blow and the whistle took effect.

It seemed the enemy were in the room as the whistle caused the cavern and spider to vanish as the whistle caused them to stumble and fall from their disorientation. It would be a little while before they had a chance to recover. Enough time for her to take them out or so she hoped.

chelvaric saw how the demon killed two of the three mages as he goes in to a rage. Chelvaric looked at the last mage as he was waiting on what he would do. The mage started to gather wind in to his hands. Chelvaric saw that as a sign and sprinted to the mage. The bolt flew right to chelvaric but he just sucked them up. “you can’t have that ancient slaying magic get back.”, the mage said as he tried to walk backwards. But chelvaric was next to him and stabbed him through the chest. That took care of the last mage. “I am guessing you can’t do much now youre so big so I gone go ahead. I feel 3 breathings up ahead. So you got to kill any runners.”, chelvaric said while breathing out some smoke. They ran to the second floor and started opening doors to find naraku. He tried to sense her but with all the walls it was difficult to locate her precisely. In the end they openend a door and he saw 2 mages. Miu stormed in and tried to attack one of them. But a lot of rocks appeared and she couldn’t get through. At that moment the illusion mage tries to attack with the rocks. Chelvaric didn’t expect this and the rock missed him for a hair. He ran toward the mage and tried to hit him with his scimitars but both went through a rock hitting nothing. The mage shot out a rock towards him but chelvaric blocked it with his spear.

Fluffy had been planning to do exactly that and walked over to the entrance, which had caved in a bit and laid down his eyes closed. However, his ears and nose were wide open. He looked asleep, but that was just to catch people off guard. Let sleeping dogs lie. Well, even if they did they would still die. He was mostly using this time to recover. As a demon his wounds healed quite quickly, but only if he could focus on them. He wondered how Naraku was doing. He was sure she'd be fine. She was tough, far tougher than he was.


Naraku had removed the illusions and with the interruption caused by the arrival of Chelvaric and Miu she had an opening she wanted to exploit. What little illusion power they had the ability to use in their state was being used to attack Chelvaric or perhaps it had been aimed at her, but in their state they had missed and it merely seemed like it had gone for him. The rock wall seemed like it was on purpose though as it prevented some access. They obviously felt Naraku would not be able to get them before they recovered. She had to though. If they recovered she might not be able to disable their illusions again. They'd probably be ready for a sound based attack next time. It was possible they were still using illusions to hide their true location. If she had such powers that was what she would do. Illusions within illusions. Well, if she was the cowardly type anyway. There now shadows however and she stepped onto one and instantly knew where they were. Everyone always tried to hide in the shadows. It made them so easy to prey upon. At least she felt she knew. There was only one way to find out.

She stared in their direction focusing dark energy to her eyes and fired two beams of dark energy. However, her attack was not limited to that and she also threw out stabber aiming to stab them and make them pay. They were too focused on preventing Chel entering and hiding themselves that they did not have time to defend. However, one had been smarter than the other and had kept moving slightly thus her gaze missed. The man however let out a scream of agony as he was hit by the beam. It burnt away the flesh and bone of his skull and destroyed the brain.

That was a gruesome death, but not nearly as gruesome as the woman. She was bound by stabber on the first pass and then it stabbed her multiple times on the body. All on pressure points to add to the pain. One missed due to a bit of bad aim on her part and the joy she was feeling. However, Naraku stopped her play by finishing the woman with a stab through the heart. As she retracted the blade she tore out the heart and then pulled it towards her and stomped on it after removing the blade. The two mages were well and truly dead.

As the two were wracked with pain and eventually died their illusions fell. She turned back to Chel and gave him a big thumbs up before beginning to consume shadows to restore her magic energy. "Let's hope we don't run into anyone else other than the boss or we are gonna struggle. she said and then grinned. "But if worse comes to worse we have you as a secret weapon." By this she meant demon force, but she wondered if he was aware of it. Not all slayers were aware of force.

Chelvaric took a deep breath of his sigy as he saw how naraku finished the illusion mages with ease. He blow out his smoke as they fell down on the ground in a not so nice way. Chelvaric got a thumbs up from naraku. He felt pretty good when he got it. he was doing the right thing. Even if it were old comrades. His god came before everyone else. She said he was the secret weapon. Was she meaning the state he had to be in for using his secret art’s. chelvaric looked around the room for anything that didn’t really fit in.

“maybe they were hiding a door somewhere. It’s not that hard for just a little door to illusion it.”, chelvaric said to naraku as he touched the wall for any strange things. He was pushing the wall till he fell front wards and felt on the ground. He looked around. He looked around. What is this, this isn’t the house anymore. He looked at a festival in front of him. It was night and there were many stalls and people walking around. It was a nice festival feeling and didn’t look like anyone had noticed the battle in the room next. Wait a festival in a house? How is this possible. He looked back and a tree was standing where he just left the room. Chelvaric walked up to one of the person and touched them. They seemed very real. But the only problem was they didn’t breath.

Chelvaric walked through the tree and reappeared in to the room he once was before. Half sticking out of the wall “here it is we got another illusionist on our hands.”,chelvaric said as he got back in to the illusion. He walked with naraku through the festival. “if I feel there breathing we will know there location.”, chelvaric said as he tried to sense them. They walked past a lot of statues and chelvaric stopped. He felt a very little disturbance in the air coming from the king and queen statues. “those illusionists and there ego’s. there the king and queen statue. Il give you the honour.”, chelvaric whispered to naraku as he pointed to the statues.

'Monster Dice' :

Naraku did not make any sign that she had heard the word's of Chelvaric. She looked about casually and then suddenly raised a palm towards the statue. "Hell Demon's Needlestorm." she stated calmly firing off the barrage of fifty needles once more. The illusions that these mages were using were far grander than any that had been used against them before so either these two were exceptionally talented or were focusing on it so much in order to hide their presence. However, between the two of them there were few who could hide. They had not yet attacked the pair, probably for the reasons she had just thought about. That meant that unless the illusions were strong enough to fool Chel's breath detection technique then they would be hit. Of course, they could defend in someway, but that would likely break the illusion.

The illusion did indeed break as they tried to defend themselves by spinning their staffs, but they were too late. Both were hit by ten needles each. Enough to kill most. It did kill one of them, but the other managed to survive. Naraku however had launched a second attack within her needlestorm. That of her wrist mounted blade. The mage succeeded in dodging and blocking several of its strikes, but eventually hit piercing through the throat and killing the mage instantly. They had not lasted long.

"These illusionists focus too much on hiding themselves and not enough on destroying their opponent's minds." Naraku commented to Chelvaric as she retracted the needle and licked it clean. She did enjoy the taste of blood.

Chelvaric looked toward the statues while naraku pierced them through with needles. The mages didn’t stand any change and they were killed with not too much difficulty. Nara licked of the needle she used to attack the mages with. Normally chelvaric would have been disgusted by this but for some reason he found it interesting. The illusion disappeared and they were on a little roof outside. It seemed that the roof was in 2 layers. As they were on the small one and the big one was above them. A ladder connected them to the second roof. Chelvaric felt one presence on the roof. “the general is on the roof. If he isn’t there then he probably escaped a long time ago.”,chelvaric said as he started to climb the ladder. They both crawled on the roof and hide behind some boxes that were stored here. Chelvaric looked behind the corner and saw a desk standing with one man standing next to it. he was very big for a human.

He dind’t look nervous or anything. No he knew they had defeated his guards and that they were coming for him. He had accepted his fate and would fight to the dead. He wore a shoulder pad on his right shoulder. While he wore a long rune knight coat. It was laying over his left shoulder. He had a sword for him pinned in the ground. “I think it’s the best if we both use our strongest spells togheter naraku.”, chelvaric whispered. He tought she accepted as he started to cast his spell. Little air blades of 3 inches appeared on his body and he was lifted in the air for about 3 yards. He started to spin up. It would take some time to get this up but it was his strongest non secret slayer spell.

So that was the crimson lancer. What she had initially taken as a sword was not a sword. It just had a long blade. It was if anything a combination of spear and sword. A tricky weapon to face and she wished she had her scythe with her, but she had returned it to Fluffy. It was too late to wait now. If she could bind him then perhaps they would stand a chance. As Chelvaric rose up she walked into his shadow so she was hidden. It appeared there was only one of them, but in reality there were two. A useful tactical advantage. If she had not used needlestorm on the illusionists she could of used its more powerful version against these opponents.

There weren't many shadows near the man, but as Naraku knew she always had shadows with her. She placed a hand to her chest and inserted a single needle of shadow. She was ready to battle. The crimson lancer rose to his feet and lifted up his weapon.

"so you're the young blackguard whose been killing all my men?" the man asked rhetorically. The ease at which he swung such a large weapon, and one handed too, was startling. Even without magic this would be a tough opponent purely due to his physical strength. "You've killed at least six b rank mages and about twelve c rankers by my count. Pretty impressive for a single person." He scratched his chin thoughtfully. "Funny, i had reports it was a woman who attacked last time and you were still with us." Then suddenly he thrust out a palm at where Naraku was hiding and launched a powerful fireball that Naraku didn't have a chance to block. It hit her hard straight out of the shadow and rolling back. The flame itself was like a set of spikes and it had cut her deeply. "Ah and there she is. I heard you liked the shadows...seems you can hide in them too."

Despite the cut Naraku seemed to have a smile on her face. As the blood seeped down her body a change seemed to come over her. A fire burnt behind her eyes and she lunged forward a tendril of shadow erupting from the shadow of her rather ample cleavage. This was not the attack though. This was just allowing for an attack. From this erupted nine more tendrils that all struck out aiming to bind and stab the man. The power of the spikes seemed stronger and this was because they were. The man had activated her lineage: Glory of the Slayer. For a short while her attacks were empowered making them even more lethal. Naraku had been meaning to bind the man to allow for Chelvaric to attack, but the activation of the lineage had sent her into a berserk state. Now she only wanted to tear him apart.

The first tendril missed, but the next two struck with force. They struck at the areas that were not as well protected and drew blood. He seemed shocked by the power of them. They were already enhanced by her being in this state, but if an attack drew blood then the damage was increased. The man had realised how foolish he had been to not end her instantly with a more powerful attack. The attack had only been B rank at best and as a slayer she had a remarkable level of endurance.

He fought off the remaining tendrils having used requip to change his large spear sword for a standard long sword and a large kite shield. The shield blocked most of her remaining attacks. This would be a tough cookie to crack. Naraku laughed as she pulled back the tendrils preparing for the next barrage. The man's attention was almost entirely on Naraku. If Chelvaric was to have a chance to attack and hit then it was surely now.

chelvaric was spinning faster and faster around. When he was spinning around like a tornado speed he was like a shredder machine. He got a boost by the wind and shot forward as a bullet. He flew right at the general. He blocked the first hit by the spinning with his spear. But his hands were sliced up. And he dropped the spear. Chelvaric turned around in the middle of the air and tried to hit him again. but he reequipped to a axe and blocked the attack. But again his hands were sliced up and he dropped his weapon. His hands were so hard hit that he couldn’t hold weapons anymore. Chelvaric flew away and made a round around the building before coming up behind it and trying to hit him in the back. But he jumped up and chelvaric’s attack missed. “not bad young one you sliced my hands up.”, hercales said. In the mean time miu had charged her spear with a brimming light and she threw it right at him. “not so fast young cat girl.”, he shouted and he spew out a fireball that hit the spear in midair and destroyed it.

chelvaric jumped out of his spin. He was realy dizzy and couldn’t defend against the attack the man started up. “ this is the end for ya wind mage. fire eruption!”, hercalus shouted and he made a magic seal under chelvaric. If chelvaric was hit by this he would have been dead. But his item activated and chelvaric was teleported 10 yards backwards. A clone made out of feathers and air was destroyed by the fire. Chelvaric had shot a bullet with his gun when he was teleported but he missed the man completely.
