Re: Sinful Murders
Ruvel had recently just completed a task at the haunted guild, it had turned out that it was indeed haunted but that was because some crazed necromancer. He had no idea why the man was there in the first place but from what he and Masha had seen the man had seemingly been abducting people of all ages, races and magical status. These poor souls had been used as guinea pigs in the man's experiments, given his, some of his summons and most likely even Masha's history you really didn't want to come across them when you were committing such horrid and vile acts. There was a extremely high chance to become dead, more so when dealing with the teen summoner given that several of his summons dealt in death as their profession when not dealing with the term of their contract with Ruvel. Once the task had been finished they had found two rings and wondered if it was some sort of sign towards them, regardless of that he had suggested they kept one ring each and when they found the right place when they were together they would bury the rings. This was in the hopes that the couple they belonged to would gain a sort of final rest, even though he had gods, demons, angels and even reapers contracted as summons he himself didn't believe there was an afterlife.
He realised how stupid it sounded when he said it but he knew many people did believe is such notions and so for this he would do the task. After the task he and Masha had separated they both had tasks they had to deal with, little did the strange youth know that he wasn't heading home just yet. As he was about to summon Bennu he moved his right hand to his ear "Yes, I've just finished a task with Masha..." he said to the person on the other side of the communication link "You realise that Cirven is going to be angry if I don't get back soon Alysha." he said with a frustrated tone "No, I'm not on a ship, I'm by an abandoned building in Magnolia heading towards the city limits so I can call Bennu... Why?" he hated how this conversation was going as it meant another task "Era? Um...." he had no idea "I could be there within an hour I guess. Why would I be heading towards Era?" he asked as he continued to walk but now changing direction towards the train station. "String of murders? Doesn't Era have police and rune knights for that kind of thing?" he asked knowing this was just gonna get worse and worse.
He couldn't help but roll his eyes hearing the answer that he was being given, he couldn't believe the place the magic council was located was hurting so bad but what could he really say? No? He knew that his homeland didn't have to listen to the magic council as they had no real power on Tolgalen, still they did as any good legal guild should and listened even taking on some tasks. "So what can you tell me about it then since it seems I'm obviously closest." he asked the person "Cable, dark mages, sewers... bring them out alive." he repeated a few key words and phrases, just by this little information he knew his hunch was right about this being a pain in his ass "Back up?" he enquired wondering if the guild was sending someone, if he was a religious man then he would pray that the answer was yes. He was told to expect someone but they would not be of the guild, they were a member of the legal guild Black Rose and would meet him at Era's south gate. He had been in Era a few times and knew just how big the places was "Joyus." he commented as he moved his hand down buying a ticket before boarding the waiting train.
On the train he thought over everything that happened of late, that this was likely Cirven trying to get him to socialise more with people. He knew the rules, they didn't tell their guild to anyone unless they wore their masks and that only happened when dealing with darker tasks or dark mages. This person was a legal mage, this was also a job requested by the magic council so he would happily play the young vice president of the West Fiore Trading company. He began wondering who Black Rose would have sent to help in such a dangerous task, even wondering their magic and if their magics would work well together. He took his seat and it wasn't to long afterwards that the train began to move towards the station, when the refreshment cart came around he bought some water and drank it little by little over the journey. After a few hours the train came to it's final stop of Era's train station, the sun had lowered and dusk approached quickly as he moved to the south gate wondering how they would recognise each other. Then again with how on edge people were in the city they'd all be inside by the time the sun set making this task easier.

KIRU NIVANI

"Look. I'm only a collector. And I'm here to collect what you owe me..." Kiru said, her arms crossed as an impatient foot tapped on the stone. "L-look lady. I don't wanna piss off your friends or anything, but we simply don't have th-" "Quiet." She interrupted the man as he stared up at her. The entire scene was a mess. The two were situated in a secluded alley, well away from the main streets. Around said alleyway lied about 6 unconscious street thugs, all sleeping peacefully in puddles of water. Kiru stood above the last one, whom she was debating making join his friends. "You came to Rose Garden asking for assistance, and we did what you wanted... Now it's your turn to pay your part of the bargain. Black Rose doesn't take kindly to swindlers..." She gritted her teeth... All the while a long white tendril of water started snaking the ground behind her. It gave off a strong holy aura. The man saw it and started to panic. "W- Wait we can work this out, we can-MFF!" The white water tentacle quickly wrapped around his waist, chest, and then mouth. It slowly lifted him in the air and brought him closer to Kiru, who stared at his trembling eyes with a fierce intensity. "Yes, we can work this out. How about I take everything you have left, and you get to live..." And without waiting for an answer from his muffled mouth, the tendril slammed against the side of the building. The man instantly knocked unconscious as his body fumbled to the dirty stone…
Another day in the world She lived in. Kiru silently stepped out of the darkened streets with an annoyed look on her face. She never understood these people’s minds. To think they could try and strike out on the deals they made with her guild, and get away with it? The very thought was enough to make Kiru’s usual expressionless stare turn sour. Which was saying a lot. She rarely showed any emotion unless her feelings were strong enough. But what was done is done. She confronted the gang, and solved the issue the only way she could. Carrying a bag of jewels by her side.
A few minutes later, she had arrived at the Silver Moon Inn. Somewhat annoyed, Kiru strolled into the tavern with an expression to match as she clutched the coin purse at her side. The bag starting to drip around her hands. Without saying anything, Kiru placed the bag on the counter. The bartender turned and raised an eyebrow at the large sum of money before Kiru would make her way around the bar and pull out a large book. Using both hands she flipped to a very specific page. The contents of said book would suggest that the item was some sort of ledger. It listed dates, names, amounts and various other things that Kiru had written over the past few months. Carefully keeping track of all the transactions she was required to make for the guild. Grabbing a quill, she scribbled down another note. Everyone knew better than to question Kiru about the book, ESPECIALLY in this state. If she had any form of emotion on her face, that meant she really felt something. And in this case that emotion was negative. Most figured it’d be best to let her do her own thing until she returned to her… ‘Normal’ self.
Finally finishing her note, Kiru shut the large book, and placed it back in its spot before turning to the bartender. “Take the money to the vault.” She said coldly. Kiru then turned to walk up the stairs before her attention was required again. “M- Miss Kiru! I can see you’re fairly busy, but a letter just came for yo-”
“I’ll read it later.” She cut the man behind the counter off again, intent on walking away before he said one final sentence. “It’s from Seika. Something serious I think.”
About a day's worth of uncomfortable travel later, Kiru found herself in Era. A bustling city, home to the one organization responsible for keeping all the legal guilds in check. She wasn't too thrilled to be here, but from the letter she got, the situation sounded quite serious. She had to think of the people first, and this city needed help. Kiru leaned against a pillar in the bustling train station. She was waiting for her apparent partner. Apparently the murderers she was going to be hunting were no joke. So much so, that Kiru needed help taking them down. A member of another guild, Onyx Moon she thought, was being sent to assist her in this task. She eyed the crowd carefully. She had been given the name and physical description of the wizard. According to her sources, he was going to be arriving soon by train, so all she had to do was wait.
Finally, she spotted someone who matched the description exactly. Leaning up, the multi coloured wizard walked straight towards him. She stopped about 5 feet behind Ruvel with her hands behind her back.
Ruvel of the West Fiore Trading Company?" Kiru asked flatly, her blue eyes staring at him blankly with little to no emotion on her expression.

Re: Sinful Murders
Ruvel had been standing at the gate for only a few moments waiting for his mystery partner before hearing his name and guild being called "Well I know who I am and my guild, but you seem to be a little confused miss..." he said with a warm smile his hand going to his chest as he leaned forward just a little so he was bowing ever so slightly. "I'm sorry. I'm not normally so sloppy in not knowing who I am teaming with in my tasks, however, this task was given to me last minute when I was returning home from another." he explained to the other as he stood straight now looking to the dual hair coloured woman, taking in every small detail of their clothing and posture. This wasn't because he was looking for any distinguishing marks or information, after all he had just asked for the information.
"I know we have been requested to look into a string of missing people, these people are found days later brutally murdered and mutilated in very public places." he began to say wanting to see if their information lined up "The culprits are thought to be a cult or cable of powerful dark mages who want to make some sort of political point, to Fiore I would assume. Why else would a group choose Era of all places to do such a thing?" Era was where the magic council and rune knights had their headquarters, so to the youth there could be no other reason to their end game. As if they couldn't keep their citizens safe, it would shake the faith people had in the system as a whole while also casting the shade of incompetence on those who held power within it. "I was told that they've checked the city and found nothing but they're stretched to thin to search the sewers..." to him it was a likely story as there was local authorities and rune knights situated within Era, they just did want to go into the rancid sewers; he remained quiet about that though.
"So we don't go in blind we should go get the sewer plans of the city." he suggested to his partner waiting to hear what she thought on this whole situation, even if she had additional information which she was willing to part with to make this task go a bit easier. Then again information was power and where he laid out what he knew it didn't mean she would do the same, if she was in agreement with his suggestion of getting the sewer plans, they would walk quickly to the town hall and explain the situation before getting a holo lacrima each. This would give them the information they needed before deciding where would be the best place to enter, if she decided against it he would wait to hear her thoughts before deciding wither or not it was the best course of action; regardless the sun had set and that meant they would have to work fast if they hoped to stop another murder from occurring.
