Job Title: Desert Discovery (Part 1)

    Rank: B-Rank

Player Requirements: B-Rank or equivalent minimum. Must be a member of Silver Wolf. Up to 4 Members.

Job Requirements: 5000 words (Solo) + 2500 words per extra Member. Must defeat at least three (3) mobs. Must defeat boss to complete job.

    Job Location: Forgotten Desert

Job Description: A dealer in antiquities named Marcus B. Rhode has hired a team to search for a rumored ancient ruin in the Forgotten Desert. The team will be provided with a map to the location of the ruin. Caution is advised… an increase in bandit activity has recently been reported. They do not tolerate trespassers into their domain. Chances are high that they will attempt to steal the claim by force!

Enemies: Enemies will consist of mages of varying competence. At the bottom of the threat scale are ordinary mages who wield mass-produced scimitars and have only a basic command of Sand Magic. In the middle are mages who are able to conjure miniature sandstorms and wield scimitars with a reasonable degree of proficiency. At the top is the bandit mage boss, who always travels with a pair of bodyguards. Do not be fooled by this. The boss is an expert in Sand Magic who is rumored to be able to choke enemies with hands formed from sand or bury them up to their necks.

Weak: Bandit Recruits x16: These are the new hires looking to prove themselves in battle. They are not very strong individually, but in groups they can pose a threat. They wield a normal scimitar that deals D-ranked damage. Their command of Sand Magic is basic, so it too only deals D-ranked damage. One hit of C-ranked damage is sufficient to defeat each warrior. They are distinguished by their plain white turbans.

Normal: Bandit Warriors x8: These are the foot soldiers for the bandits. They possess more skill with their scimitars, enabling them to do C-ranked damage with each hit. They can also use Sand Magic to root their opponents into one place by trapping their feet in sand via a sand vortex. Trapped mages can be helped out by allies throwing a rope to them and pulling them out or by defeating the mage that cast the spell. One hit with B-ranked damage or equivalent will defeat each warrior. They are distinguished by a white turban with a golden cobra pin.

Strong: Bandit Elite x4: These are veteran soldiers who have been with the group since its founding. They are charged with defeating difficult opponents. They are also tasked with shadowing their boss and protecting him at all costs. Due to their years of experience, they are tough opponents. They can be distinguished by their purple turbans with a gold cobra badge pinned to them.

They are armed with well-made scimitars and are expert swordsmen. Each hit of theirs does B-ranked damage and they can block melee weapon strikes of C and below twice per post. They wear leather armor and take four C-ranked hits or two B-ranked hits to defeat.

They are also adept with Sand Magic and can use it to buffet opponents for half of C-ranked damage per post (up to three consecutive posts)  or to bury them up to their waists in sand. Trapped mages can be freed by friends or by defeating the enemy who cast the spell. If not ended sooner, the spell will end on its own in three posts.

Boss: Bandit Boss: He is the leader of the bandits who wish to claim the site for themselves. He has formidable talent with both blade and magic. He wields a scimitar that does B-ranked damage with each hit. He can block C-ranked and below melee strikes three times per post. He wears well-made leather armor so tough that it requires six B-ranked hits to defeat him and force him to retreat. The boss is distinguished by his golden turban.

His command of Sand Magic enables him to buffet opponents with sand for half of B-ranked damage per post (up to three consecutive posts) or pull opponents into the sand up to their necks. If not freed sooner, the spell ends after three posts. He also wields a spell called Desert Grip, where a hand of sand grips an enemy and squeezes them for half of B-ranked damage per turn (up to three consecutive posts).

Reward: B-Rank EXP, 40k Jewels, and access to Desert Discovery Part 2.
