Adalinda was looking at a paper as she was making her way towards Peaceful Village from Hargeon. She had been asked to go to this little village and check it out for the magic council. She was told about magic circles popping up in a few towns and villages. She only hoped that Peaceful Village wouldn't be one of those villages with it. After hearing about it, she had dragged Kyran to accompany her, as well as asked for him to ask Advent to accompany them on this job as well. She wanted Kyran there with her since she trusted him, and Advent since he was a friend of Kyran's, and she felt the little blind kid would help them out greatly once more if this proved to be far more dangerous than she was expecting it to be, which she was half doubting it would even be not dangerous. She seemed to pick the good jobs that end up being more anyways.

The mage had wanted to meet up with her companions a good few leagues away from the village, just in case the village did have a possible magic circle around it, and something happened. She didn't want to risk getting them hurt before they met up. She felt this would be an easy job, and nothing too terrible for them to do. This was just supposed to be a simple research job. Nothing could go as bad as the plant job she did with Kyran and Advent way back before Kyran joined their ranks of the West Fiore Trading company. A shiver went down her spine as she thought of the horrible job of plants after plants after plants. She had only dealt with them once after that job, and she was glad she did. Her eyes glance up to her exceed resting on her shoulders.

"What? Did you forget something Ada? Feeling well enough?" Tamaria questions before she looks over to Kyran. They were both aware of his demons, and that Adalinda was 'daddy' to them apparently.

The black haired girl chuckles and shakes her head. "Nope... just hoping that this job has no plants to deal with. And was thinking of how I met you." She muses to her cat. Tamaria snickers some and shrugs her shoulders some. She looks over to Kyran herself now. They were nearing the area they agreed on to meet advent at, and looks around to see if she can spy him anywhere or not. She even started to sniff the air some for the kid. Part of her worried he was still mad at her for last time, but she also hoped he forgave her and got over it. If not, she felt she may be in some trouble really. "Will he even here...?" Her voice was soft, as she was speaking aloud more to herself than to Kyran or Tamaria. She worried that Advent might not come since she was involved with this whole thing. She scratches the back of her head as she huffs and looks down at the ground her feet walked upon, looking just a little bit ahead of her in case she walked into something.

Advent had returned to Tolgalen briefly to check his mail box, he was hoping that Zenshin, Zeno or Rhyolo would have sent him something to let him know they were okay since he hadn't heard anything from them in a long while and he was getting worried. Putting his hand in his box he found a letter and grinned from ear to ear "See! See! They were just busy!" he said with a glee filled tone as he opened the letter as he sat down on the floor, the base of his feet touching one another "Could you read this for me?" he asked holding it up to an unseen force, for the first time since they left Shadow Island the paper was taken from him. He smiled swaying happily as he knew they would read it over first before they told him what was said, before long his smile faded and the swaying stopped "It's not from them? Then who? What do they want?" he asked seemingly concerned that someone knew about his mail box given he had only got one for those three people.

"Magic Council?" he asked in a confused tone as he listened tapping his head as he knew that he had been given the information by his tutor Aiyana, after a long five minutes he figured it out "The magic parents?" this continuing to have confused as he took the letter back "What do they want with me? I've not done anything bad right?" he seemed almost worried that they had found out about him and his magic and they wanted to put him in a prison due to something he couldn't help. "Magic circles in places?" this just kept getting more and more confusing as time went on, he was just standing up and about to make his way to the doors to leave when he heard a familiar voice. "Advent..." Alisha's voice rang out, the head receptionist the only one seemingly brave enough to approach the strange white haired youth. "Hi Isha, what's up?" he asked rubbing the back of his head, the day was filled with oddness so far. "Adalinda and Kyran have headed to the peaceful village, they want you to join them." she said warmly, Advent nodded "Okay, thanks. Have a good a day Isha." he said back waving as he headed out only hearing about it be better if Cirven was actually around for the board meeting that had him chuckling.

Heading down the steps he caught the next ship heading towards the location he wanted, he hated boats since the vibrations were off thanks to the waves crashing against the thing. The crew done the best they could to keep him calm by cracking jokes and even telling stories, Advent himself even takes part joking and telling a story or two which were received well. He had no idea how long he had been on the ship but it didn't seem to long, getting off he sniffed the air and listened to his surroundings realising that he was now in Hargeon "Not to far away then." he said as he started out towards the place he was to meet the others, he knew it would be quite a few hours by walking and his guardians even stated he should perhaps go by transport but he shuddered at the thought remembering what he had almost done himself "Nope, unless my feet is on the ground I'm not doing it." he hated ships but he could deal with them as there was no way they could knock someone down. It was then he heard them saying that his wings would get him their faster.

With a sigh he nodded not really liking it but the worst that would happen is that he ended up banging into a flock of birds. From his back as he started to run a set of prismatic golden ethereal wings formed, with a single bounce they started to flap supporting his weight with the greatest of ease as he ascended from the ground heading towards his intended location. The one thing he hated was he was truly blind when he was like this but his wings gave him a sense if anything was wrong and his guardians actually gave information as he approached, before long he was at the village and settled on the village wall his head turning around as he felt the swarms of spirits behind him "A summoning circle but no summoner?" he said almost as if repeating information he was given, boy was he glad for Valanthe. Turning away for a moment he waved to the others "We have a problem inside here, there's a lot of things and they're not friendly." he called out hoping his voice would carry on the wind to them.

Sweat dripped off the end of Kyran's nose as he hauled ass back towards Adalinda. He had slipped away from her a few hours ago in order to do some recon. It hadn't ended well. The rats were streaming out of their respective houses, summoned by strange glowing circles. Kyran had made the mistake of disturbing them. People began to scream as he ran. The rats were following him though there were a few breaking off to attack the villagers. Meet outside the village. What kind of plan was that? Kyran grit his teeth in irritation. His problem wasn't with Ada. He whipped Calamity off his shoulder and spun, going to one knee. The rats flowing toward him were dropped. Any rat going toward a villager was also dropped. He couldn't allow them to be hurt. Not for his mistake. He needed his friends. Now.

"Ada! Vee if you're here! I hope you guys can- FUCK!" Rats weren't apparently the only enemy. A tiny flame landed on him and Kyran nearly jumped out of his skin. Scared of a little fire? Its too bad you're not my purrfect self. Then you might be able to deal with the little bastards. Kyran could almost feel Medea licking her paw smugly. Kyran batted a few rats away from himself and ran. "You, run!" Kyran yelled at a man trying to fight the rats. The man was already bleeding from several wounds. Before Kyran could help him, the man was overrun and torn apart. "Damn it!"

He shot a few arrows backward as he cleared the edge of the town. He could see Ada in the distance. Or maybe she was closer. His eyes were a little funny. Before he could call out to her, a rat jumped onto his shoulder. The unexpected weight threw him to the ground. Kyran lost his grip on Calamity. The rat buried its teeth in his flesh, causing Kyran to cry out. He wove a protective guard about his shoulder, causing the rat to impale itself when it went to bite again. The shoulder protection collapsed into black dust immediately. Kyran wished he could lie on the sun baked road. That would be so much easier. Instead he rolled to his feet, scooping up Calamity on the way.

Upon standing, Kyran discovered the rats had turned back toward the town. They were ferociously attacking it aided by the strange flaming balls. "We're in deep shit, Ada! There are a lot of rats around! They're gigantic!" He fired off a few shots to help the villagers. Where had this all come from? And how could they stop it?

Tammy had noticed that Kyran was no longer with them, and simply sighed. "You know he still isn't back yet, right?" "Yeah, I was just checking to see where he could have been." She glances towards where Peace Village was, and thought she smelled something faint, like smoke or something like that. Her mind thought it could have been the villagers having a cook fire, and that she wasn't overreacting. The other part of her mind was thinking that it was a magic circle terrorizing the village and burning the buildings. But there wasn't that much smoke, or from what she could see there wasn't. She looks up a moment after that, and notices Advent in the sky... with wings? She was lost a bit at that. She holds up a hand and waves to him, but it stops in the air as she listened to Advent talking about the summoning circle with no summoner. Great. Just her luck. Of course this village would have one.

"How much do you want to bed that Kyran was the dumbass who set the circle off, Ada?" Tamaria questions Adalinda, who simply snickers. "Play nice cat, but I bet you an alcohol canister that it was him." She mumbles lowly as she starts to jog off towards Advent. "Nice to see you again! Lets get the party started, okay?!" She laughs as she steps inside the village. Tamaria had jumped off and clambered up the wall to stay away from the creatures and to not be caught in the battle. Sometimes she wished she could help, but she wasn't the fighting type. Instantly, Adalinda's eyes are on Kyran the moment she's in the village before she notices the rats and the flame things. "See? I was smart for once with wanting to meet outside of the village! I think I get a whole canister for that, Tammy! Or I'll have Yuudai give it." She purrs as she sticks her tongue out some while she brings her sword out. She goes straight for a rat and swings her arm out and around.

Adalinda snickers as she yanks the head off of a rat with the curve of her khopesh before she was near Kyran. She gave him a look as she glares a bit. "Really? The rats are gigantic? And there's a lot of them? I would have never seen." She teases and quickly brings her arm down onto another rats head. She lets up a yelp as she bends over backwards to not be touched by the flaming ball thing. "That's hot! And not in the fun way!" She says as she jumps back a couple paces avoid another flaming ball. She was trying to think. "Hey! Get some- Gah!" Ada did a flip as three of the rats had jumped her from behind onto her back and bit into through her shirt. She quickly risked cutting herself as she threw her hand back. She had only managed to cut a bit of her hair off, not enough that it looked awkward thankfully. She growls and feels a small draft on her shoulder blades a bit. She had cut just a portion of the shirt as well. "Oh well... it'll stay on my back." She mutters to herself before her eyes goes towards Advent.

A few of the rats and a fire thing were going towards him. "No. No. No!" She mutters to herself while she quickly hauls ass towards Advent. She bet he could still take care of them himself, but she also wasn't wanting these things to get too far past them at the same time. Also, it was convenient that there was someone nearby that fire ball started trailing towards them. "Hey! Grab some water! Or run the hell away!" She cries out to the person, who panicked and started running away, making Ada simply shrug before she kicked some dirt to distract the creatures from Advent and let him do one of his spells. She noticed something though. The fire ball thing dimmed when the dirt hit it. "Awesome... Hit the fireballs with dirt if you can!" She cries out.

Post by Hania 21st April 2018, 3:08 pm

Advent rolled back from where he was sitting on the wall hearing Kyran's voice a smile on his face, if it had been anyone else then there may have been an issue but he wasn't exactly normal as he seemingly landed on his feet with ease. "Hi Key! Did you open a door you shouldn't have?" he asked standing up straight, blinking under his blindfold as he dashed towards Kyran and the seal. He knew that personally he hadn't the knowledge to deal with cancelling the seal that was letting these things out, but just because he didn't mean that he didn't know someone who did. He was all of a sudden happy for his archmage mother who dealt with different kinds of magic but even then this would be difficult, as from what he could feel there was no vibrations in the earth from it nor was there ripples in the air "This is going to be just peachy..." he huffed knowing that this was going to be nothing more than trial and error when it came to timing, luckily for him his reflexes were good so there was at least that.

"We need to get that thing closed or they'll keep going and my seals won't counter it, if anything it may fuse making the thing stronger" so he knew couldn't afford to do any requiem until this threat was tended to which was pain in itself as he had to trust an alcohol dependant slayer that he disliked and a person whom seemed to get taken over by his magic. "Do your best to keep me safe when I do this, I'd rather not die today." he called out to the others loudly, as he did however lowered sliding at a bunch of rats laughing his head off as the speed he was going with their own speed caused several of their heads to crunch under the two colliding forces. It had only be three of the things but it would be less vermin he would have to watch his back from potential disease ridden gnaw attacks.

Standing he fell the back of his leg get bit and growled turning quickly stomping on its body, he knew it wasn't their fault but at the same time he wasn't some rodents chew toy. "Damn it! Leto deal with these pests!" he growled limping towards the magic circle knowing for a fact that he would have to tend to the bite soon or he could get infected. Kneeling he tilted his head listening to what Valanthe was telling him doing obediently following the instructions. Leto by then had however had turned up standing fully clad in white and yellow ninja garb everything bar her piercing green eyes seen as she ran towards goblins quickly a ninjato seen in each hand, ducking and jumping over their attacks while at the same time twisting and slashing in a graceful and all be it bloody dance. Her clothing getting covered in the blood of her enemies before fading without so much as a word, six goblins stood still for a few moments before slumping to the ground their heads rolling from their shoulders in random directions

Kyran scowled at his two companions. Yes the rats were gigantic and on his tail. As for opening a door he shouldn't have, well that wasn't his fault. "Someone was screaming inside the house, Vee! I didn't mean to let loose this entire swarm of monstrosities." He turned and fired Calamity back at the rat swarm. He had no idea how to deal with the tiny fireballs. His arrows dispersed them but only if he got a hit direct center. Otherwise they simply brushed off his strikes. This whole affair was getting on Kyran's nerves big time. Looks like you need some assistance. Why don't you show your friends your new techniques? Medea purred as Kyran turned to run from the swarm again. He needed some distance. Or he could try a different way. There was blood everywhere from downed villagers. He grimaced at the sight of their corpses. Luckily only a few rats were that fast and they had been dealt with, either by Ada or Vee or guardsman of the town.

Then he saw Advent shooting past, aimed for the horde of rats. "Shit! Vee! Ada get in there! You two!" Kyran shouted at two guardsman who were staring at the oncoming horde. They were standing still not even attempting to run. They snapped to attention at the command in his words. "Grab everyone you can, have them pick up things that will service as a spear and/or spears! Form two lines. First line should have at least shields. The second line must have spears. It would be good if both lines had both. Create a barrier with the shields and kill the rats in precise strikes with the spears. Constantly back up so the rats can't use the bodies of the dead to launch themselves over you!" Kyran kept firing as he spoke bringing down many rats. When the guards didn't move, he glared at them. That snapped them into action. They ran off yelling. Kyran was happy with that.

"Alright Medea, lets see what you can do." Tawny fur rippled down his arms. His eyes became like those of a cat. Claws popped out of the tips of his fingers and Kyran could feel the tail spill out behind him. Calamity was placed back in its sheathe on his back. "This will be purrrrfect." Kyran made a face at the purring. He had no desire to purr. Better to not talk unless he had to. Kneeling on the ground, Kyran placed his hands in nearby pools of blood. It felt as if time began to slow down. His focus narrowed as his magical energy poured into the blood. His magic caused the blood to swirl about his arms. Medea was purring by the time he raised his arms and spoke the words of his spell. [color=crimson] "Attack only the rats, Blood Beast: Wolf of Terror!" Five red wolves, the size of his hand, burst into life. They charged forward, snarling as they tore into the horde of rats. Kyran let a smile run across his lips. Using the remaining blood to form two short swords, Kyran waded back into the fight. Best to give the villagers all the time they needed to protect themselves.

Kyran was a god of death as he walked. His wolves ran before him, ripping out rat throats, soaking the ground in blood. Whenever his spiky swords swept down, a rat died. Very few rats remained when Kyran took a step forward. Though that may have been more due to his companions since he wasn't sure what they were doing. He hoped they would be at the house when he arrived. That was where all the trouble had started and he hoped that would be where it would all end. "Ada? Vee? Where are you two? The villagers can take care of any stragglers we just have to...ah!" One of the fire spheres landed on his shoulder, burning a hole in the fabric. Luckily it was only the coat. Kyran hadn't left Vee's present behind this time. It didn't help that his companions were tiny. If they had been taller, Kyran might have found them more easily. For now, he would have to make due with the carnage he could wrought to protect the villagers.

Adalinda couldn't help but snicker at Advent as he questioned Kyran, making her cover her mouth a bit before she's back to fighting the rodents around her and kicking dirt on the fire minions. As she saw Advent going to Kyran, Adalinda quickly diverts her course and goes with him to keep a couple giant rats off of him. She hears the blind mage's comment on having to close the seal, and nods. "Alright, I'm right here already Advent." She calls to him as she laughed at him sliding at the rats while she lopped off the heads of ones he didn't slide into. She was a bit surprised by his outburst though as he stomped on the rat, having been in the middle of a spin and turning towards him when he did it. Ada wanted to watch the fighter that he had summoned, but she knew she had to keep on fighting the other rats around Advent. She didn't need Kyran telling her to follow him.

She honestly felt like she had gotten better at her teamwork issue since the last job they did. She felt the shift of a scent as Kyran changed into one of his demons. "Hi, baby demon thing." She simply muttered to herself. She still wasn't able to get over the fact the demons in his head called her daddy. She quickly shook her head as she needed to focus. She brings her sword down on another rat, getting bit on her shoulder once more from behind, making her yelp in pain. She grits her teeth in pain as she reached her arm back, hooking her khopesh on the rat before yanking the sword forward and throwing the rat off of her back, causing the bite the rat was already causing, to get bigger. She grits her teeth. That was going to leave a scar, she knew it. Her white shirt was red on the back as she felt her right arm weakening from the blood on her.

When Kyran called out for them again, Ada saw that the amount of rodents decreased drastically, but they simply clumped together though. She looks towards the door as Kyran walked though. She was about to speak when the flame minion stuck to Kyran. "Roll on the ground! Literally! The dirt puts it out!" She cries to him. She hears a beat of wings as Tamaria had came flying back behind Kyran, and deliberately blew out the flame minion on him with her wings by flapping rather fast. Ada had went to where the sparks of the flames were, and stomped them out before they lit anything else on fire. "You guys causing issues already?" Tammy snipped. Adalinda gives the exceed a fake laugh before she rolls her eyes and snarls slightly to her. "No, we're actually not. If you want to help, keep an eye out for more of those flame things while we figure out how to close the seal. Shriek or something to tell us. Or beat it out with the wind from your wings again, just make sure you get them where there's nothing that can catch fire easily, like stone." Tamaria growls at Ada, muttering something about her not being a shrieker, but crosses her arms and turns to keep a lookout.

Ada's eyes quickly go to Advent, and she runs a hand over her hair. "Can you seal it?" She couldn't help questioning eagerly as she wanted to get these things done with. They weren't being too great on them, especially Kyran. She always felt bad for how injured he got when on any sort of job with her. It happened far too much than she wanted to.

Where's the Peace?! Empty Re: Where's the Peace?!

Post by Seryth Essora 7th May 2018, 4:14 pm

The faintest breeze of wind began to stir from the air, brushing through the confines of the village and causing leaves and other such foliage to pick up and stir - brushing about here and there within the so-acclaimed peaceful village. The only trace was the light melody from the rustling of leaves, as an unknown foreboding seemed to drench the otherwise peaceful village. The eye that had been cast upon Peace Village scrutinized every facet of information that could be discerned. Not an actual being that could be openly seen but a presence seemed to watch over the village - though the appearance of the other three startled the black eye somewhat. It focused upon the small group first examining Adalinda closely before examining the two others who had come along with her - first to Advent and then to Kyran as the two eventually met with Adalinda. It was patient as it remained out of vantage from the three. The shadow was able to discern a bit of information from each's posture and body language. It was here for the same reason as the other three, however it had no information on these strangers. Self preservation seemed the most logical course. Keeping pace with them was easily enough achieved as he followed, and nearly laughed at the antics and cries of Kyran as he ran away in tears from the gigantic rats. It seemed the rats were serving as a large problem for both of them at moment at-least.

He thought deep about this, knowing that if these people were here to deal with the magical ritual then they were not his friends - perhaps it was due to him being burned so much in the past that he was so cautious - however the male did not care at the moment. Potential allies were something to cherish even if they ended up burning him later. The assassin had already decided to live for the moment but his logic was nearly-infallible. Fuck it all, he announced loudly within his own mind, as the male peered from his cover and shed his stealth - moving into the area between Adalinda and Kyran as naught more than a blur. As for the male, he is a young man with an attractive appearance standing exactly six feet tall. His long hair of midnight hue is tied back into a loose ponytail with a red cord, spiked bangs covering his forehead and frames his handsome countenance. Eyes the color of coal belie his keen wit. Seryth is well-built due to a life of training with the sword or polearm, and keeps himself fit by continuing this training when he can. He tends to wear a white dress shirt with a red tie and black dress slacks with dress shoes. At times, he is seen wearing a black cloak with golden trim.

Reaching up, Seryth man-handled the massive 2m-sized orb of plasma on high as all within the vicinity saw him slam down the orb of plasma and ignite the rats that he could hit between the two on fire with plasma-fueled green flames. Most of them would soon find themselves scorched to ash, but not all. As the explosion rang out in a cacophany, the young man was then gone as he was already on the move. His form blurred on the edges, the assassin brought his right arm down as electric blue napalm formed within the grasp of his hand and crushed into the gigantic rat's sternum - that very rat being one of the ones who were nearing Advent themself. Electric blue discharge danced from the assassin, as he finally took a moment to breathe. Seryth finally broke his silence and spoke, retorting in a bittersweet tone. "Well well, what do we have here... I suppose it couldn't hurt to help you lot out as I have also been constracted to fulfill this mission. I'm not opposed to helping other... just know I'll fight in my own way - I don't follow orders from people I don't know. For the moment though... I'll fill the role of protector."

Advent nodded a little knowing that he would have done the same had he heard someone calling out for help so couldn't fault the other for doing it, but then again he did have additional help the others did not so could have likely done it without activating the portal and letting the nasty things inside out. With a friendly smile and silent sigh he looked in Kyran's direction to acknowledge what the other was saying "Got it Key." he said calmly though his tone held a light frustration because he could have done without this stress right now, soon he would be heading to one of the cursed lands and those placed always made him seriously sick. For now Key's actions were in the past and the cursed land annoyance was in the the future and nothing could change either one. How he wished that it could be but that wasn't the case sadly. He hated how it seemed like if it wasn't one thing it was another, it made him wish for the quieter days of home, then again if he muttered those words he would find himself on the next ship going to Shadow Island and that was something that he didn't want. Due to being caught in his own mind he tripped over the body of a bloody dead child, using quick reflexes he managed not to epically fall on the ground but merely stumble. "So much death... I'll have my work cut out for me when this is over that's for sure." he said more to himself than anyone as he was told that the child had the teeth marks of the rats made him curl his hand for a second the runes on his chest glowing for a second.

"I know... seal first." he commented moving carefully to the seal kneeling "Valanthe, guide my hands." he whispered his head tipping to the right his hand starting to move forwards before pulling back as he heard Kyran's voice "Key, I'm at the seal. I'm going to attempt to deactivate thing, while it's active I can't attempt my magic..." not even his parents knew what would happen if his magic came into contact with it, for now the others were on their own. He put his own safety in their hands as while he couldn't defend himself as how things were. Hearing Ada's words he nodded quickly "I have the right parent to help me so of course I can seal the infernal thing." he grinned contently as he raised his blindfold just slightly so the runes could penetrate his sight, why he could see runes and spirits he couldn't tell you though thought it had to do with the runes in his eyes. Tipping his head to the left he listened to the words the mother he knew as Valanthe was giving him, he was about to touch a symbol when he heard a new voice.

His hand going to bring down his blindfold before he turned around, he didn't want what happened with Zeno to happen again and so was now careful when he looked at others "I don't really care so longs you don't cause issues or attack us, do either and I'll take you down personally." it was strange as the threat was said in such a childish and joy filled voice, but he wasn't joking he cared for Key, Tamaria and he supposed even the pain in the ass drunkard known as Ada so would protect them the best he could. With that being said he turned his attention back to the seal and raised his blindfold a little "Key do me a favour and watch my back, I don't want to be a chew toy for rats or hitting points for goblins or fire things." he said tilting his head to the left as he started his task quietly, he had to get the timing right with what he was being told; that was easier said than done and frustrated the white haired youth to no end

Where's the Peace?! Empty Re: Where's the Peace?!

Post by Kyran 16th May 2018, 10:51 am

Kyran wasn't sure what to make of the newcomer. He was wary, not only in his own right but because at the moment Medea held a strong influence over him. If he gave the cat even the slightest hint of weakness, she would force a challenge between him and the new guy. That wasn't what he wanted at the moment. Not an issue that they needed. The cat crawled across his skin, the fur on his arms standing up. His golden cat eyes glowed slightly in the dark. Carefully, Kyran pushed the cat demon away from his mind. She wouldn't get control here. He wouldn't let her. "Fill the role of protector then and don't get in our way." Kyran spat, the words harsher than he meant them to be. Medea purred softly as the scent of roasted rat finally hit them. He had to fight the urge to grab and eat one of the tasty treats. Kyran was finding it harder than usual to control himself. This was a new ability but not one he thought would be a battle for control. Kyran glanced at Ada and Vee. "I'll do my best, Vee but I can't promise much. I'm struggling to...control myself in this place." There was so much violence, so much challenge. Even Malinda was uncurling, bloodlust forefront in her words. It placed Kyran at odds with three demons while fighting on a blood soaked battlefield. Not good odds for any person.

The brief reprieve they had gained from the entrance of the newcomer was over. As if they sensed the danger to the summoning circle, the creatures were converging upon the house once again. Whatever windows were left, shattered as goblins forced their way in. Rats chewed through the walls, leapt through the broken windows of the lower floor or tried to push their way through the doorways. The flames floated in, casually setting small fires as they made their way forward. The sheer numbers stunned Kyran but they made Medea lick her lips. This was a challenge. This was the kind of thing the cat demon lived for. Kyran decided to unleash everything he had to protect his friends. With Medea helping to supercharge his spells, this horde should be a piece of cake. Blood began to swirl about Kyran as he drew upon his magic. "Form a wall at the place indicated by my right index finger, Blood Beast: Leviathan of Apathy!" Kyran cried out. He wanted to avoid crushing his allies while providing Vee with a measure of defense. The only downside was Kyran would cut off the newcomer. It looked like he could handle himself however so Kyran wasn't too worried. As his spell completed, a tiny red whale with six eyes and tendrils floating out behind its body formed formed in front of the oozing wound in his shoulder. The tiny leviathan floated down to the spot indicated by his index finger and immediately expanded. The now giant leviathan crushed its way through the walls until it was its full size. Kyran winced as the entire house groaned. The moment the leviathan disappeared, the house would probably collapse. "Maybe I should have thought about the fact that we're in a house a little more..." He mused turning to the goblins. They were jumping down from a hole in the upper floor caused by his leviathan's expansion. This really wasn't going at all how he planned.

Still he couldn't stop now. It was better to ask forgiveness than permission. Not that he would ever ask for either. "Ada! Move!" Kyran barked. He didn't want her to be caught in his next spell. His tail waved anxiously behind him watching the horde get closer and closer. He had already begun preparing his spell before barking orders at Ada. There hadn't been any other choice. "Hang just below the ceiling, near the hole I can see, Blood Beast: Ophanim of Denial!" The wheel covered in blood red flames that had been forming near his shoulder floated up to the spot indicated. Kyran breathed a sigh of relief. He hadn't been sure that would work too well. There were several holes in the ceiling. The ophanim unleashed a brilliant red light in all directions from itself. It left only a tiny area untouched. Any goblin or flame thing caught in the light slowed drastically. Kyran unlimbered Calamity from his shoulder. "Think you can cover that one spot, Ada?" Kyran asked, his bow already thrumming as he shot arrows into their enemies. He could cover the ophanim from here and Ada if she needed his help. It was lucky that the summoning circle had been placed in the corner of the house. As the house creaked ominously, Kyran spared a glance upward. Hold together for me, he thought at the house. Just until Vee is done sealing the circle. Then you can fall down and crush the rest of these vile things all you want. The demons laughed inside his head. They were enjoying his dilemma. Whatever happened, Kyran would be in trouble. What he was in trouble from depending entirely on if the house stayed standing.

Post by Lethe 16th May 2018, 7:18 pm

Ada gave a quick chuckle and nods a bit, before quickly realizing what she did. "That's great. I hope we can get it done quickly." She chuckles and taps the sword on her arm on the ground a couple times before she raised it up to go after more, till she heard someone running nearby? She spotted him running between her and Kyran with her enhanced sight, glaring slightly, she didn't know who this intruder was, or if they were in on this or not. Then this guy made a few rats a tad crispy. 'Guess he's on our side for now at least...' She thinks to herself as she takes a deep breath. When the guy finally stopped and begun rattling on about himself, Adalinda glares at him a moment, and it nearly looked like she had a vein popping out of her temple. "Get off your horse, man. If you're here to help, then help. Chatting does nothing." She heard herself snip as she glances out the window before she sliced off the head of another rat that tried to run in through a broken window. Already this guys voice rubbed her the wrong way. She just wanted this over with, and to go see Yuudai once more.

People who seemed to be on a high horse to her were one of her least favorite things in the world. But Ada had to be professional and not do anything that would get Ruvel mad at her. She was sure he had a spy somewhere, watching her. She looks at Advent when he threatened this new guy, and her eyes grew wide. She would have to stay away from him now. She didn't know if he was still pissed at her in general or not. She nods to Advent again as well. Even though he didn't ask for her to protect his back too, she was going to regardless. They were going to be a team on this.

Ada let up a growl as she turned to smack her sword in to the face of a few goblins and snickers as she hooked the sword on ones neck and let it slide over it. Tamaria was flapping her wings on the outside of the building and putting out a few of the fire things, and keeping out of reach of the rats and goblins. "Hurry up guys!" The exceed screamed, completely not comfortable with this. She was wanting to retreat away from here, but she couldn't with Ada's request right now. She then swooped into the house and went by Advent as he was by the magic seal, but tried her best to stay out of the way. She really wished she could help better than just be a pair of wings and sit idly by.

"Hey, Kyran!" Ada called and snickers. "Lets see who can kill the most!" She cackles as she let her body turn to Iron and gripped her free hand into a fist before she completely crushed the skull of a rat coming to attack her. The bites of the rats were no longer bothering her as much as the teeth were being stunned by the iron and they couldn't pierce it. As Kyran created the whale thing, Ada let up a yelp and jumped away from the wall a bit. She blinked a moment at the growing thing, staying away while it covered the wall and pushed the ceiling up a bit. "Jeez... Kyran..." She mutters as she looks up at the thing. The leviathan growing had caused at least the rats and goblins to stop for a moment in fear, before they went to try to find a way around it.

As soon as Kyran told her to move, Adalinda quickly jumped to the side into a roll away from where she was at, hoping whatever he was going to do wouldn't hit her where she ended up. She blinked and saw the creatures slowing down, and ended up howling in laughter. "Oh! That's beautiful!" She cries out sarcastically and reaches with her khopesh sword to yank them down and finish them off. "I can handle this no issue!" She cackles at Kyran. Ada could feel herself loose herself a little. "Shit I need my alcohol..." She mutters and kicks a goblin away before she took off her hilt of the sword and briefly removed her sword spell to take a quick swig of her alcohol before resuming her spell and throwing the hilt on her sword again. She lets up a 'Whew!' then felt good as new and had a newfound energy to her as she swung and crushed the goblins and rats with her hand and sword.

Post by Seryth Essora 26th May 2018, 10:49 pm

No response was returned to the three, that had made sure to talk smack in return to the assassin for his aid; while in truth the assassin came off far more arrogant than he himself intended, now was not the time to speak on the issue or try to change his initial disposition however the attitude of everyone towards him was taking it a bit over the top. The assassin was here to help whether or not he had come off as a jackass and rather than accept his aid they felt the need to respond in similar rhetoric. The only thing that Seryth could do at the moment was to put up and shut-up, it was time for the assassin to go to work and that was all there was to the situation for now. Seryth judged the situation n full, before he began to plan for his approach to the conundrum. The assassin had promised his protection and he was about to provide it in the best way he could for the moment. The situation wasn't the greatest, with new rast and goblins struggling to climb through shards of glass in the windows, or tried pushing through the doors. Perhaps in the best-case scenario Seryth himself would be cut-off as the majority of the entrances towards Advent would be protected - that was the least that Seryth could do for the group of them; and at the same time he could use the full brunt of his power without worry of hurting the comrades he had chosen for this battle. Having made his decision on the tactic used, Seryth was about to strike out.

That was when the black-haired Seryth observed the special summoning magic dealing with demonic-looking beast; first by conjuring forth a a creature that is about three feet long within one meter. It appears to be a whale with six eyes, thick armor upon its back and tentacles streaming from the fins as well as along the tail. Afterwards, the conjuror summoned a flaming wheel creature about two feet across within one meter. The flames are bloodred and cold to the touch. The wheel itself is covered in eyes, all of which are closed initially. A soft heavenly song can be heard emitting from the wheel. When the eyes open, a bloodred light spreads out around the ophanim. this creature seemed to shore up some of the weaknesses of the failing structure, however it's caster didn't seem to cast it with the size of the house in mind. That was something that Seryth could fix for the moment, withdrawing a vial filled with silvery liquid one-handed and tossing it to the ground at the base of the house to hold up one side of the walls with a wlal of pure metal that could not be traversed and burned the creatures as they touched it for a mild agitation. Hopefully, with the use of that one-time-only item, the house wouldn't fall down on top of them.

Seryth didn't know much about the other woman, however he payed her no mind at the moment especially since she was right and he had been a bit to self-promoting in his speech. This wasn't the normal Seryth and he didn't know what was causing the fault. Still, it would be better to analyze himself and determine where the mental weakness had come from later so he could thoroughly punish himself. For the moment, Seryth needed to focus. He formed two seals with his hand, summoning forth a flaming hue of red up on the top of the roof. From the flame, a woman would appear of the most exquisite beauty: She wore a dainty silver dress with blue ensemble, with roses of fabric of the left collar. The woman seemed to be slim in appearance qwith a beautiful porcelain face and silver hair down her neck that was tied into a bun. Through the unspoken bond between summoner and summoned, Seryth informed her of the threat and almost immediately two-foot long bolts of plasma rained down on the rats and goblins that had yet to actually enter the house. Alexis' job was to protect the entrances to the house, while Seryth rained destruction on those who had actually found their way within.

It was finally time for Seryth to reveal his true colours; his muscles in his back flexing before his entire body flexed. Any light that had persisted within his eyes simply vanished and was replaced with a deep darkness that belied a silent rage. Finally, Seryth was on his way forward and leaped with a speed twice that he had previously used as his right hand raised up and smashed down on the skull of a nearby goblin who didn't seem to survive the initial punch, and then exploded out into splasma which caught all of the rats that had surrounded the wizard. He was already on the move afterwards, his body burning with plasma that extended slightly from his body. Tapping a single stpo at one of the entrances, Seryth continued in his rage as he rent through two goblins with a single punch with his plasma-surrounded hand. Those rats that swarmed Seryth and bit him soon found themselves burning with plasma as the raging assassin smashed two large spheres into a large majority of the rats now swarming him. The fighting style wasn't Seryth's normal as he usually utilized surprise to his own advantage but now simply sought to kill. As Seryth charged through one of the opening to the lowest form, he dspatched another rat with his hands before tossing the remainder several meters from himself. Any who had gotten through him could simply be dealt with by the others, Seryth didn't care at the moment.

Lowering his right hand down to the ground, Seryth gathered plasma from the aura around his body and gathered it to his left hand, forming a tendril of plasma twenty meters long that snatched through the air and slammed into as many of the rats in one swipe as it could, before leaving their burning bodies on the left side of Seryth. The berserk assassin continued forward momentum, prepared to deal with as many of the swarm here outside the house as he could, at once. The assassin was more than willing to leverage his onw health and life to protect those within the building, and so his plasma-fueled tyrade would continue. Somewhere back in the deepest recesses of Seryth's mind, the assassin simply hoped that this seal would be completed soon. It didn't matter in the end though as that was just a small corner of his mind as Seryth beat through the swarm. Friend and foe were of no concern to the current mindset of the assassin, and that would only end once the seal had been finished. At some point, however, even with the extra vitality from his 'transformation', Seryth was starting to feel the pain and had to retreat from the fighting if only to nurse himself up for a bit. Jumping, Seryth cleared one of the nearby ruined buldings and landed on it's roof. Even without the designation of friends and foes from his mind, the assasisn knew when it was time to heal up and so cast his healing spell as he began to release plasma orbs from afar into swarming creatures.

Once it was all over, Seryth's rage would melt from his eyes as he moved down from the ruined building and de-summoned the form of Alexis. He had recovered some health, however the majority of it would still take a while to mend. The assassin's clothes were in tatters with winds on top of wounds and blood oozing from his body and arms. 'At least, it's over finally' Seryth noted to himself, conflicted with whether to apologize to the others or to simply vanish once more as the assasin was want to do. Instead, Seryth decided to hang out on the porch of the ruined house and simply wait to see if the others would approach him or leave him. The assassin would deal with whatever outcome was to pass.

Where's the Peace?! Empty Re: Where's the Peace?!

Post by Hania 10th June 2018, 9:54 am

Advent listened to the goings on with the others, it seemed they had as much issue with him as he himself did. More help was always welcome in circumstance such as these, but when they seemed to come in with an attitude that just got his back up in a major way. He was use to not being able to defend himself because of how his magic worked, this was different though his back was turned and had to trust the three others in the area to defend it, while he dealt with the seal causing all these issues. He trusted Key easily because it seemed where their paths had been different they had similarities, those similarities were enough to create a bond in his mind. He did remember however that friendship was a two way street, he may have felt a friendship was possible but Kyran might not. Had that been the case the long white haired teen wouldn't push but wish the other the best as he moved forward in life. Ada on the other hand was different, he didn't like her overly much given their initial meeting but would be civil and try his best, this new person he didn't know and so didn't trust. There was no connection with someone you just met and so the chance of betrayal was always high in his opinion, but he couldn't exactly refuse the pompous male's help since he was a little busy. That being said he'd have no qualm of killing him afterwards if he caused issues for him and the others.

As he was busy dealing with disabling the circle he paid little attention to the goings on around him, who knows how he would have reacted to feeling Kyran summon something in a house that was obviously to small for it. He wouldn't want to be him when the people he worked for that was for sure but that was of little consequence right now as he was busy. he heard that Key would do his best to protect him but he ended up pressing the wrong thing as he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder blade, blasting not him but the stupid mini goblin backwards ten meters pushing the sword all the way through but killed the idiotic attacker. "So much for the protection!" he growled to all three of the others, to be honest he should have been paying attention but what he was doing was taking all of his concentration. Still with the sword impaled into him he walked to the circle once more "You know what I've had enough!" he said his runes starting to glow brightly, he had no intention on using them as he internally said the mantra he was raised with. He was more than a little annoyed however and that was why they were now glowing. "Lets try something different shall we?" he said moving his foot forward he touched the first symbol that he knew was correct and just broke the circle. His eyes going wide under his blindfold as he ran toward the other three dragging them into a house nearby while enemies that came from the portal, as well as wildlife and other easily moved things where sucked in before the portal finally deactivated. "Shoulda thought of that to begin with." he said with a goofy grin as he winced pushing the blade of the weapon back out of his body "Son of a bitch!" he exclaimed in pain not caring if he got in trouble for it later, he had just been skewered after all.
