Laughing coffin. Lucie honestly saw nothing that was funny about a coffin. If they were such a hilarious thing, it certainly took an easy sense of humor to get it. A guild named themselves after the concept, but they would not be laughing when their day was over. The griffins were taken down, the former leaders of the fatso monsters, but the monsters of Fat Monster Land still remained, this time with mages fighting back more than ever.
Oh, the Magic Council did have a thing for screwing with people, or screwing them over. Of the few emotions the girl could feel, anger was at a peak in that moment. Too many monsters to threaten local civilians, so the Magic Council calls for all guild and guildless mages to help them exterminate the beasts…. All while they sit on their asses all day and watch from afar.
It was just the sort of behavior they had expressed back with Fairy Tail. Their guildmaster had gone awol, and with the lovely new title of Coming Storm pinned on her person, the guild was threatened with being put on the hitlist of the Magic Council. The guild voted to not relinquish the young girl, and took the fall with her. They moved to Tetsukazu for safety, out of the watchful eyes of the Fiore civilians and Rune Knights. How did she repay their kindness?
She didn’t.
But that was a wrong she was soon to correct. Sorano finally banished her; something Kanix could not bring herself to do. The anger at the Magic Council, however. What they did to the guild was not so easily forgiven, and Fairy Tail remained an independent guild, still not fully trustworthy in the eyes of the council of dictators.
Now was the perfect opportunity to get even with the magic council. The place was crawling with mages of all alignments who had come to their aid. The idea of picking off a few and siding with the monsters grew more and more appealing. Charging her essence energy as she flew, Lucie gazed down at the monsters and mages. Eyeing a few fighting some monsters, the Daemon opted to dive down feet first, a blade of energy forming in her hands. Instantly, she ran it through the unsuspecting Laughing Coffin mage, who died quickly and somewhat painlessly.
Her energy lapped at his soul, absorbing it and thus every so slightly increasing the power of the raven haired Daemon. A scowl on her face, she gazed at the dark haired men fighting the monsters. One had summoned a tiger-like creature, while another tussled with some giants and other monsters. They were next on her hitlist-- they were fighting the monsters, and obviously had come at the call of the magic council.
Though she readied herself to charge at the nature magic user while he was distracted, another beast hastily entered the battlefield, swooping in from above. The spirit noticed the movement in the air and whipped around to slash at its claws before it could grab at her, though the gryphon was there to stay. Turning around, Lucie prepared herself to face off with this entity. It was too bad-- she would have much rather seen the beast killing the others, but there was no escape for her as it was. It would have to die before she could continue on with her work.
Charging forty orbs of energy around her, each taking the form of a hazy ball of pale fire, Lucie fired them at the enormous beast, each at a high speed. They would not miss their giant target at such a close range, and the Gryphon gave a mighty screech of pain as the energy of the Daemon penetrated his thick fur, leaving burns and wounds on his very spirit.
The Gryphon lunged forward, aiming a wing for the raven haired girl, and a wing for the dark haired boy wielding a celestial key. It was not yet done with this fight, and though weakened, persisted in its lust for the kill.
