It was pretty apparent by now that there was no such thing as peace for the elf.
As if the whole thing of Summer disappearing without a trace and leaving her as the sole master of the guild wasn't enough, Kaisto and Lucius ended up fighting to the death. Well, they would of at least if the slayer had not interrupted them and forced the fight to end. Even then she hadn't even managed to get there fast enough. Bastet had been near death, having took a bullet to the chest, most likely from her brother's gun cane. And Lucius, well he was pretty fine except for a mild concussion and wounded pride from having technically lost to the sky dragon slayer. Kaisto had managed to achieve dragon force, which toppled the assassin despite him being a rank above him. Astrid has never been able to achieve dragon force, mostly because unlike others she didn't think to rely on the overpowered state. From what Sirius told her, it was actually rather dangerous to even enter it. While giving you strength, in return it lowered your sense of self, and an untrained person could end up loosing themselves to the overwhelming transformation. Maybe that was why she was able to stop Kaisto so easily despite him being so angered. That, or she was just really angry at the time and was, you know, a couple of ranks above him. Which probably helped. But the dragon force state defiantly did help her case.
What they did was idiotic. So idiotic. Especially during a time when the elf was more irritable than ever. On top of everything else, they managed to make her even more angered and stressed than she already was, which is quite the achievement of its own. You know what she could have spent doing during the time she stopped them and patched up their wounds? Anything else. Anything else that she wanted to accomplish before that dreaded curse finally settled its gnarled jaws around her. Didn't they know she didn't have much time left?... No... Not they wouldn't, would they? It's not like she would ever tell them about how she was slowly dying... It's not like she would tell anyone she was dying. No, Astrid didn't like worrying people, even if she was irritated at them. Which is why if she did in fact just drop dead, no one would even know why. It's not exactly an easy thing to bring up. How can you just tell the people you're close to 'oh yeah by the way i'm dying' so easily? That's right, you can't. Which is why the silvernette found it easier to just not tell them. The less they knew, the better. This was her burden, her life. She saw no need to drag the ones she loved into this depressive pool of darkness along with her. That was just selfish. These were her troubles, the one she had to deal with herself... Alone...
    Drip.
A single tear dropped down onto the half-written scroll in front of her. Astrid, who up until this point had been writing quietly in her office, ceased the motion and focused upon the dark wet spot which soaked into the white paper.
    Drip.
Another one joined, not but just a few inches away from the other, causing one of the letters to become fuzzy as the ink mixed with the salty water.
Suddenly, her already blurry vision became filled with tears, and she was unable to see clearly in front of her.
What was wrong with her? Why was she crying? There was nothing to cry about, she was used to dealing with things by herself. She had died before, the experience was nothing new or unfamiliar. So why did the thought of permanently dying scare her so much?
Maybe it was not that she was scared of dying, but rather leaving her life behind. There was still so much she waned to do, so much she wanted to see, so much she wanted to experience. She wanted to go climbing in the Phoenix Mountains. She wanted to visit Minstrel and see where her ancestors came from. She wanted to experience the Grand Wizard Games first hand. She wanted to find what caused the great split on Divide Island. She wanted to bathe in one of Hosenka's famous spas. She wanted to go to all the different planets and experience their beauty. She wanted to have a family. She wanted to get married. She wanted to have kids. She wanted to watch them grow up. She wanted to die of old age with the ones she loved most, having no regrets in her life at all.
But it was impossible. There was no time, not when her main focus was looking after the guild.
When was the last time she picked up her violin? The slayer could not even recall when she last lifted it up, or even touched a piano key. It had been so long since she last practiced her music. It had been so long since she last bothered to do anything she actually liked doing, instead of staring blankly at a piece of paper with numbers on it.
It was most likely she was to die doing paper work than actually something she loved or even spending time with another person. And it upset her so much. But why did it upset her? It's what she deserved. It's what she wanted... Isn't it? She worked all this time to get here... So why wasn't she alright with it?
Astrid didn't know what was coming over her, but eventually, she found it impossible to hold back anymore. Her chest tightened, and her mind refused to listen to her. Purple eyes watered, and thin lips quivered. More tears began to fall down onto the papers, while others traveled down reddening cheeks. She sniffled, before falling forward onto the desk, crying muffled sobs and whines into the pile of papers.

    She was tired.
    She was sad.
And most of all, she was alone.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Special Snowflake 28th November 2017, 12:58 am

Erika's everyday routine had started to become mundane. While she hadn't been on the run or in blatant hiding for a little bit now, she felt that she had become... stagnant. Everything was peaceful since she had finished dealing with her father and had her full potential unlocked. Between exploring the town, learning how to manage her new powers, and carrying about her everyday activity Erika didn't have much to worry about. The day's blended together as she moved about them and for once the worries she had, the fears she had, and the murderous intent she possessed vanished. This is what it meant to be peace, this was it meant to have a small reprieve and victory.

It was starting to get boring.

Erika didn't think she would come back alive from her encounter with her father, and now that she found out about her families origins she was sure she might not live, so why did she keep living out in the open instead of in the shadows and hidden like before? Perhaps it was because Erika didn't want to run or hide who she was anymore, if they were to come for her then they would come and fight her, not some false persona she hid behind, and just maybe the dragon could know peace. Still, knowing a peace meant that Erika might become complacent and might not see more of the world, or worse her magic touch with torture tools would become dull and useless. Erika didn't desire to see herself become feeble just because she got fat off the euphoria that was peace. It wasn't that she disliked the idea of living a peaceful life, spending her days doing whatever she wanted and relaxing them away, but it almost felt insulting for her to waste so much potential sitting about.

For such a proud race to settle down with objects of previous frustration, humans among other races, and to try and help them to boot? What was wrong with her, just a few months ago she would kill someone and replace them without a second thought, and even play the part of their lives to their loved ones, friends, and co-workers. The body count she had tallied up surely rivaled that of the most famous serial killers, but when no one knows the person has died in the first place, well that was her art form. She had always viewed that her methods of conquest wouldn't be with blood and thunder but a surgical take over of the entire land, she never had to fight those who viewed themselves as heroes not when she could have them work her without their knowledge. That desire, the source of her pride faded as she felt the world as not something for her to use, but merely live within. Complacency was becoming her drug of choice, and now she had to do something about it.

After getting ready for her day of heading out into town and checking out the local vendor's stocks for the day, Erika took a sip of her black coffee as she read the paper, a new habit she had gained rather than simply just absorb the knowledge from those around her, as she had lost interest in using them in the future, or for petty revenge. However, spitting out her coffee as she read a certain headline in the paper, well, Erika had only one thought in mind.

"I don't want to live on this planet anymore..."

Within a moment all of her murderous intent came back and her desire to slaughter something beneath her, read as everything, boiled to the surface. Seemed no matter how much peace she enjoyed deep down Erika was still herself, if not a bit more docile. She wouldn't torture them for that long, maybe five minutes, max ten. Getting up from the table she put on her designer, aka she made it, coat on and headed out of the house and headed straight for the guild hall. She hadn't been in the place too much, but it seemed very busy which was good for business. Heading up to the job listings Erika scanned for one which would take her far away, which is when she noticed a high ranking one which stated she wouldn't be on this planet anymore. Perfect, now all she needed was someone else to go with her. She could ask that Lulu kid, she owed him a beating anyway, but he was too much of a shut in to care, and beside him, she didn't know that many in the guild, not like such commoners were even worth her attention in the first place.

Well, she did have one person that she could ask to help her. She didn't need the help but being alone on a ship with scientists for months didn't sound very fun, well for the scientists, especially if Erika got a little too pissed off at them and didn't have another soul to hold her back. No, Erika would ask Astrid to come with her, which come to think of it she hadn't seen much of her for the past few days. Approaching her office, Erika sighed a bit, she knew that Astrid would probably give some excuse to not go with her, especially when she had to handle the guild, but it would be fun, like a three month da- adventure. Still, it didn't hurt to ask, heck why didn't Astrid ask Erika to handle all the business of the guild for a while, not like she couldn't just have a few of her clones handle the work, and heck they could even disguise themselves to look like Astrid, oh sometimes that paste eater really made Erika question why she li- was friends with her.

"Hey Astrid I was wondering if you would want to---"

Erika's face changed from her normally sour expression into a bit of shock. What she saw was Astrid crying uncontrollably onto the paper in front of her. Oh great, what had she walked in on, like Erika knew girls could be emotional, heck she was a girl, mostly, but this was just insane, Astrid needed a truckload of Prozac.

"Uh, you okay Astrid? You appear to be crying just as badly as at Sombra's mansion, but this time without the whole life ending problem we had back then. Wait... have you even left this office for a few days!? The takeout has taken over an entire corner of the room,
and your hair, and the... The fuck happened?
    "

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Guest 28th November 2017, 9:17 am

The crying continued, gross sobs being muffled by the parchment under her face. Tears continued to fall and blur the freshly written words together into one big mess of black ink. No matter how much she wanted to stop, no matter how much she pleaded her body would not listen to her. It was like she was no longer in control, and merely was an observer within her own body. The desperate whines kept coming, the burning in her chest did not cease. She told herself to suck it up, she told herself to get over it. In many ways, she knew what was happening to her was inevitable. She knew there was no stopping it. But for some reason, her crying would not end.
And much to the elf's dismay she would not be alone for long, even if at this exact moment she would have preferred to be.

The door to her office creaked open, followed by the sound of Erika's questioning voice changing into that of concern. Astrid tensed the moment she walked in, her heart set on pause.
The moment she decided to let everything go, was also the moment when the woman walked in. Of course. Of course it had to be, life liked to tease her that way. She hated crying, especially in front of others. She was no longer that overly sensitive kid who cried over every single little thing. She had tried so hard to conceal those negative feelings nagging at the back of her mind over the past years, and in most ways had succeeded. No one was aware of the dark thoughts hidden beneath her surface. No one knew she wasn't actually okay with anything. No one knew there was this emptiness in her life she could never seem to fill. No one knew of her internal suffering...
    ... No.
There was one person. The one person who forced those feelings out of her by practically invading her mind without her knowledge or consent. She knew everything about her, inside and out. And the slayer didn't like it one bit. Having someone know your secrets, your weaknesses? It was hard for someone who had hidden them so carefully for so long to accept that. And while the two women had grown to be friends over a few awkward months, Astrid was still not used to someone being that close and personal to her. Which, is maybe why she was finally able to halt her crying.
Astrid sniffled, which led to a long silence between the two. Embarrassment filled the guild master whole, her face turning even more red than it had become while she was sobbing. During those moments her mind filled with curses and thoughts, trying to search for an easy answer to counter Erika's questions. Yeah, she wasn't exactly going to tell her why she was crying, even if the woman might even know some how. Astrid hoped there was some way to cover it up, any way at all. And she would try her best to do it, even if in the end it was fruitless.
    It wasn't her problem.
    It just wasn't.
Erika finally seemed to be doing good. Well, as good as she could be. Recently, she seemed somewhat happier than she had been while not in the guild, so Astrid wanted to make sure her friend was comfortable and stayed how she was right now. It was not right of her to force such a heavy subject onto someone who had suffered just as much as she was right now.
After a few moments of awkward air, Astrid slowly lifted herself from the desk. Not before however wiping her sleeve over her face to rid it of any tears. She rubbed it a few times feverishly before she settled still somewhat watering eyes onto the thread mage.
And somehow, even managed to force a small smile.
She sniffled again, mostly so her voice wouldn't sound so weak or gravely from the sob fest.
"I'm fine. Got some left over hot sauce in my eye. I should really wash my hands after eating." It was subtle, but despite her greatest effort her voice did manage to break half way through, though she easily played it off as if it didn't happen.
Dropping back down to her mess of a desk the elf picked up her feathered pen, and continued to write. Well, not really. The paper had become soaked with her tears, and the pen's ink dried up. So really, she was tracing an dry pen tip across a piece of paper that was swamped in tears and blurred ink. But she was just trying to look busy, in hopes that Erika would not bring it up... If she decided to hopefully be that polite.
"What was it that you wanted? If it's about adding stripper poles in each of the hotel rooms i already told you people can already exercise in the arena if needed. We have all of the right equipment."

Astrid got some hot sauce into her eye? While Erika did believe Astrid was that stupid, she wouldn't cry over it, she would probably die cause it got in her eye and then she got impaled or something. Seriously Astrid was approaching insane levels of dying, she hadn't died before this, maybe she was addicted to the cold embrace of death. That was a depressing thought, her being addicted to the cold embrace of death.

"No Astrid, it's fine, the building codes wouldn't allow stripper poles anyway, I still think we should go with that kid powered generator though, people say the youth are our most valuable resource after all."

Erika was half kidding, she didn't really mean to use the kids to power the guild hall, if she were to do it they would power the entire city! The kids would easily get paid 1 jewel every couple of days, that's better than them not earning any money at all! Most kids were dirt poor due to those pesky child labor laws and such in Fiore, so if the kids were allowed to work, they could actually earn a living, and stay in shape! No need to thank Erika for her genius ideas, this is what she is here for to benevolently bestow her wisdom to the masses. Regardless the issue of Astrid crying still wasn't solved.

"I'm, mostly, kidding about the generator, seriously Astrid I know you can be dense sometimes but you didn't spill hot sauce into your eye, how long have you been working for? Unlike me, you can't just swap around bodies so I assume you've been working for a long time if the random crying is happening. You should get out of this office, get a shower, go sleep, go shopping, and let those around here handle the workload for a bit."

Erika didn't have a hint of sarcasm in her speech at this time because frankly, she was more worried than anything. In her mind, Erika was thinking of bringing up the job but she was pretty sure that Astrid was just going to refuse outright, and that was a shame. If it turned out to be worse than Erika thought she might just have to pull a gun on her head and shoot her or something, perhaps that would be a good idea to get her to take a break, considering Astrid was also stubborn. Hopefully, it wasn't that bad, but if it was horrible... well to put her down and go on the job.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Guest 12th December 2017, 1:02 pm

Of course she saw through the facade. Why did she even bother trying to cover it up? Maybe desperation, maybe because she hoped it would just be that easy to get the thread mage off her back. But of course it wasn't. It was never that easy with her, unless it involved inflating her own ego or massacring fields of enemies.
Astrid stopped in the middle of scratching the dry feather pen, giving up trying to hide her tiredness and dropping it back down to the desk. It was no use, putting up this fake wall any longer. No matter what she did, Erika always just seemed to know what she was hiding. But it was only to be expected from someone who could manipulate reality itself.
Still watering eyes peered back up to Erika, the light she tried so hard to push forward once again dull against pools of violet. Any sort of forced happiness was instantly drained from her features, and once again she looked more rugged and worn. A moving husk.
Knowing this was not going to be easy the slayer rested her elbow atop the desk, and placed the side of her face against her open hand, supporting it so she would not just end up slamming her head against the corner of the desk in the middle of their conversation. Her gaze would keep on Erika, somewhat unfocused, like she was staring right through her at something else.
"I'm fine" she stated plainly, her tone of voice nothing like her usual light and up lifting way of speaking. It was like her voice too had been drained of life.
"But even if i say that, you know i'm not. Just like you also know i'm not going to stop my work." There was no use in telling lies, not against Erika. So what was better than that? Telling the blunt truth. She wasn't going to stop her work, nor let someone take it over for her. She was the guild master. This was her guild. Since the moment Elyx gave it up to her and Summer left this entire guild and it's well being was in her hands and her hands only. Erika may be an ace, but the wizard saint was the master. The leader. Everything involving this guild was her responsibility, and Astrid felt as though if she were to pass off work then she would be letting them all down. Only she knew the ins and outs of legal papers. Only she knew how everything around here worked. What if someone else screwed something up? Then she would be held responsible because she passed her own duties onto someone else. And that wasn't something she could deal with.
"You can tell me how much i'm an idiot, or that i'm doing it all wrong, or that there's a much easier solution to all of it. But this is my work, my duty, and my life. If i want to burn myself out on work, it's my right." Perhaps she had taken her mother's advice a little too literally. 'Do what you want, it's your life'. She figured if it's really what she wanted to do with it, then she would. Not that she wanted to do all of this. If it were up to her right now she would be soaking in a warm bath. She she had to do this, therefore she forced herself to want to, and she didn't want Erika telling her otherwise. Because then that would mean she was letting another person control her life again, just like all those around her once did.
At this point, it was more rebellion than anything else. But as someone who had never been through a rebellious teenage stage, this was basically Astrid's substitution for it.
"Now was there something you really wanted, or are you here for more banter? I have work to do."

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Special Snowflake 12th December 2017, 9:08 pm

"You have work to do? Yeah, no you are going to take a damn nap. If it is your right to try and destroy yourself then it is my right to try and stop you from doing that."

Pulling out a pistol from a portal she spawned in her hands Erika pointed towards Astrid's head. and shot her straight in the face. No this was god modding, and not because Ami gave permission but because Erika can't god mod any threads, as that implies a god is on equal playing ground with Erika. It's not like her account isn't an admin for no reason, Erika knows when she can take over a thread and do what she wants, if she wants to shoot Astrid in the damn face she will use that as a stress ball all she wants. Technically she owned Astrid's body, so technically she could do whatever she wanted with it.

Don't take that in the wrong context as Erika mostly meant in terms of mutilation and torture, that and she was just doing this out of concern for Astrid in the first place. yes, Erika shot people out of concern for their well being, welcome to the context of every Erika thread that has ever existed, in fact it was out of character from normal in that Erika intended to give her a new, not tired and worn out body, especially since Astrid had been doing nothing but eating takeout, and not sleeping. Whenever Erika had to work hard, all she did was switch bodies and just dump the old one. Nothing felt better than a good body swap and she knew Astrid would agree, after probably being mad for a while.

What could Erika do to make it up to her? Well, she thought of one thing. Astrid was pretty darn short previously, and despite the fact that she tried to hide it Erika could tell she was jealous of others, based on her puffy face whenever she couldn't reach something. Now Erika would never be willing to make anyone taller than her as that means she would be allowing someone to look down on her and that's just unacceptable, but she could at least make her... equal in height to Erika, and not her other bodies but... well Erika turned to the side and got a bit of a blush on her face when she thought of making someone look at her equally. This peaceful lifestyle really was making her soft, she hadn't loaded a hollow point for Astrid, instead, it was just a standard casing, man, she was losing her edge.

About to leave and fetch Astrid's new body from the basement of her house Erika pondered over the fact of leaving Astrid's now dead body in the office. Frankly, it wouldn't be anything strange for this guild to discover their guild masters dead body in her chair but Erika supposed she had best clean up this place. Actually, she thought of an even better idea. Shifting her body into that of Astrid's, Erika made sure to bonk herself on the head a couple of times to get into the right frame of mind for replacing her. Throwing all of the junk (yes that includes the dead body) into the closet Erika, now Astrid, sat down to try and get the work done in her stead, transferring her main consciousness into a new body as well, while the now clone could hold down the fort.

Walking out of the cloning vat Erika made sure to dress before taking the vat that Astrid was located in with her towards where the spaceship was taking off. Upon arriving at the ship it took a bit of convincing but she managed to get them to agree to take the tube on board, though they didn't know what was in it. As the spaceship launched Erika only sighed as she listened to the absolute nerds talk about exploring a new planet it made her just want to blow the planet up when they got there just to laugh at them. Regardless, moving the vat from the cargo to the spare room Erika was sure that everything was green, before preparing a variety of outfits for Astrid, and a nice meal for her, one which didn't involve hot sauce, and opened up the vat so that Astrid could walk out and finally be happy after having a gracious rest given to her by Erika's benevolence. Not only that Erika had raised Astrid's height to the same as her own, that should certainly make her feel happier as well. In her mind, Erika had done everything perfectly and now would be graced by the praise of Astrid.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Guest 12th December 2017, 10:38 pm

Dull purple eyes blinked as she watched Erika summon a portal, which then spawned a gun that the woman pointed at her. Her gaze grew wide, blinking rapidly, as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Of all the things the slayer expected Erika to do it wasn't, you know, shoot her point blank. An argument, maybe. But the threat of death so quickly? Well... It was Erika. But still, it caught the guild master off guard nonetheless.
Once it finally settled in exactly what kind of situation she was in, the elf reacted quickly, panic quickly taking over her face. She sat up straight, and shook her hands in a frantic motion.
"WAIT NO ERIKA CAN'T WE TALK THIS OUT LIKE CIVILIZED PE-"
    Bang.
A quick pain to the front of her forehead before nothing but a numb feeling and darkness. It was a darkness the elf had become all but too familiar with over the past year or so. Death. Erika had shot her, and she was dead, nothing but a cold blackness to accompany her.
At least for a few seconds.

    ...

    ...

    ...

A muffled beep sounded, and the slayer found herself being lunged forward. Awoken with a jolt she could not help but allow her body to move forward with this strange and liquidity force. After being lunged she found herself hitting a solid surface, to which her body also gave way to in a mess of silver locks and jumbled limbs. She landed upon the now wet floor of the spaceship room sprawled out, soaked from head to toe in a clear blue liquid. She tried to take in a breath, realizing she hadn't taken one since being awakened. But when she tried to take air in, she found herself being unable to, like something else was blocking her throat and filling her lungs. She choked and coughed, trying so desperately to gasp for air and release whatever fluid was in her lungs outward. Once she hacked enough of the liquid out to breath properly, with shaking arms she weakly lifted herself up, still breathing heavily as she tried to catch up with the breaths she had already lost. She left strangely weak, like all of her previous energy had been sucked out of her. It was strange, to one minute feel the power coursing through you, and then to die and- oh wait that's right, she had died. And the one who killed her was...
She gazed upward, seeing Erika above her, though some of her wet locks did block out a lot of her vision. But it was the thread mage, there was no doubt about that.
Her mind recalled what had seemed to happen just mere seconds ago, and it clicked.
Despite being cold, despite feeling weakened from being in a vat for so long, and despite being butt naked, she reacted.
"... You..." Her teeth clenched. The slayer stood in a flash and grabbed onto the thread mage's shirt, pulling her closer to her face, violet eyes turning crimson burning with rage.
"What the hell, Erika?! Do you know what it feels like to get shot in the head?! Guess what, it hurts! It hurts a whole lot! You better have a good explanation for this before i smash your teeth in with my fist!"
Astrid was pissed. But you would be too if you were shot in the head for almost no reason. One minute she was in her comfy office and now she had died and was covered in this weird wet stuff. Now she was going to be lucky if she didn't end up catching a cold all thanks to this.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Special Snowflake 12th December 2017, 11:18 pm

The anticipation of Astrid's reaction was almost killing Erika, she couldn't wait to hear how great she was from her and how she had helped her in her time of need. As Astrid got out of the tube Erika tried to hold back a proud smile as she saw her newest and improved Astrid body emerge. She had made it better, faster, stronger, resistance to sharp objects, resistant to paste injections, basically a god-like body if Astrid wasn't the one in it, as Erika was sure Astrid would find a way to kill herself in due time, she always did. Surely now would be the moment of Erika's praise...

Well, that was a surprise, a very angry Astrid popped out of the pod rather than one filled with joy. How strange, why wouldn't one be happy that they weren't really dead? This was Astrid, but still, you would think people would be happy not to be forever dead. Now Erika had to explain herself, was one of the burdens a superior being had to bear, also she couldn't stand Astrid being this mad at her for some reason.

"Well, of course, I know what it feels like to be shot in the face, I've done it to myself several times to deny the enemy my body. It's a solid tactic, but I see you are upset about it, I get it, you normally die in a different way but... You were so worn down and frankly, you needed a break so I might have, just a tiny bit..."

"Kidnapped you and brought you with me on a six month trip into space with a bunch of nerds. Seriously these guys are totally gonna die when we get there just watch."

Yeah okay, it was a bit of poor taste joke wise, but it's Erika, of course, she will make horrible jokes that no one else gets and then factual statements that everyone thinks are jokes. An example of the latter is her being perfect, people think that's a joke till she hangs them by their own body parts. Still, she didn't know how Astrid would take all of this, probably negatively because she couldn't see the big picture of how nice Erika was being.

"I mean, on the bright side... I made... you taller?"

Erika stated with a bit of sheepish voice, as clearly by this point Astrid wouldn't listen to reason, heck she wouldn't listen to reason normally, always had to be her way, always had to not be what Erika wanted, Astrid sure was selfish, or was it the other way around? Huh? Could Erika even be selfish? That's... a weird thought, she shouldn't have it again.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Guest 13th December 2017, 9:31 am

    She kidnapped her?!
"YOU KIDNAPPED ME?!" Well it wasn't exactly anything new, this whole kidnapping thing. It was what happened when they first met. Erika ended up kidnapping her during the war on Navrick too. Seems to be a constant with her. Granted this time Erika was more of a friendly figure and she wasn't going to make Izayuki kill her again... At least she hoped she wouldn't. But still, while the thought of being kidnapped did bring back some unpleasant memories it still wasn't exactly her definition of a vacation. How many vacations started off with being shot? Yeah, they didn't. Space or not, Astrid was still pretty angry over the whole shooting and kidnapping thing. You know what being in space meant? It just meant she wouldn't be able to go back home. Space was no vacation, space was a prison.
"THIS COULD BE FREAKING DISNEY LAND AND SHOOTING ME IN THE HEAD TO MAKE ME GO WITH YOU WOULDN'T BE ANY BE- wait did you say i'm taller now?" The thread mage's final comment finally clicked, and she seemed to just almost instantly forget how angry she was. The slayer released Erika, and crimson eyes blinked back to their normal violet hue. She took this time to look around the small room, noticing she did feel slightly taller than normal. Just to make sure, she used her hand to measure the height from the top of her head and Erika's head, since she had always been a couple of inches taller. She started from her own forehead, before traveling over the short distance to the ace's. Her questioning expression brightened when she saw they were now the same height, and for once in a long time, a genuine open smile formed on her mouth.
"YES! no more using stools to reach into cabinets! No more of being unable to reach the floor from my chair! Take that Lulu, you height thief!" she cheered happily, shaking a fist in the air at the last part like she was actually cursing her brother for something he couldn't even do. Of course, it was all an exaggeration. A whole two inches wasn't going to change much. She was most likely still going to have trouble reaching for things, she was more likely still going to be unable to touch the floor while sitting in some cases, and once she inevitably shrinks again she will go back to blaming Lucius of stealing her height. But for now at least, she was blissfully unaware, and very happy about it.
Filled with joy, the silvernette couldn't help but thank the one who did it all. She flung her unclothed and wet body at Erika, and wrapped her arms around the woman in a hug.
"Thank you thank you thank you thank you!" the elf tightened the embrace, to what most normal people would find uncomfortable thanks to her not knowing her own strength. But she couldn't help it, she was just too happy about this new body. To the point where it did seem as though she had completely forgotten she was angry in the first place.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Special Snowflake 26th December 2017, 1:43 am

The negative reaction was unexpected, Erika thought Astrid would be delighted to have a day off, AND have a nice new body that wasn't tired and filled with nightmares about paperwork, but alas she was ungrateful. Erika couldn't understand what she did wrong, sure she shot her in the face but what're a few bullets between friends? Erika didn't deserve to be punched in the face for shooting someone, if she did then she would probably half to be beaten to death multiple times for the number of lives she has taken. It's not quite genocide level, but if Erika was given the ability to decide planets fate those people would most likely be set on fire and then gassed with a virus. That turned dark really fast, on well not like Erika wasn't dark most of the time anyway, as her form of humor typically involved torturing someone while monologuing about how terrible they were at their job. Typically this involved her gloating in the perfect way imaginable, but alas right now she was at the strange disadvantage of someone not appreciating her majesty AND also not being tied up and potentially electrocuted to death. it was such a weird feeling, was this guilt about how she had shot Astrid? it couldn't be, she was helping... or was she? Erika started to wonder if she had done the wrong thing...

And then Astrid hugged her and Erika avoided having any form of character development in empathy and instead mentally patted herself on the back. Clearly, she had done the right thing all along as Astrid was incredibly happy with her. Erika could no wrong of course and that's why this day she had given her the gift of a taller body and... wait was all that Astrid cared about? Being taller? She was only happy because she had been made taller. That annoyed Erika a bit as Astrid didn't notice the other improvements that Erika had made, like how much she had enhanced her senses to enjoy the finer things in life, and how she made the body a bit more durable as to keep Astrid from dying easily. In fact, most of the fixes to the old model were something that Erika was quite proud of, and was ready to speak about how great they were in detail to Astrid, but then she was hugged.

Erika viewed the hug as anything else, just Astrid being grateful, till she felt Astrid's heartbeat and then Erika started to blush. She knew all the specifications of the body, but now that someone was in it, and that someone was Astrid, who Erika knew she was holding some feeling for. It was a weird emotion, one which made Erika feel all fuzzy inside, but not the kind of fuzzy when she kills others the kind of fuzzy that makes her feel all peaceful inside. Erika didn't know if she hated this emotion or if she liked it, maybe if she got really, really, really drunk she might like it but right now it just distracted her in her mind and made her think weird things such as why Astrid's pressing made her feel calm. It then clicked into Erika's mind, she wasn't attracted to her own creation but what was within said creation, the Astrid within the Astrid, the chocolate center of a Tootsie pop, the candy coating was her dense layer of idiocracy and the gooey center was what Erika wanted. Sadly she didn't believe she could lick the stupid from Astrid otherwise Erika would have done so already. Licking Astrid though, that was a bit gross, but she sure wouldn't mind some more hugs like this in the future, but Erika wondered... did this make her a lesbian?

Erika could be a lesbian if she found Astrid attractive, then again Erika had been both male and female, and one really drunk night something else, so she couldn't really be a lesbian right? Wait, saying that she was a lesbian implied that Erika fell under sexualities that others also fell under and that was just unacceptable. if everyone else could make up terms for their own sexual preference then so too could Erika and hers would be better than their's because she was in it. But what would she call her new sexuality? It couldn't be pansexual as Deadpool already held that title, no maybe it was, omnisexual? Then again Erika didn't really want to bang a cactus so it couldn't be that. Wait, it was so simple, clearly, she was Erikasexual. How else could one describe her sexuality perfectly if it didn't involve her name, not only that Erika was the best Erikasexual in the world as she was the only one who was said sexuality, unless Astrid loved her in which case she would be Erikasexual as well, and then maybe Erika wouldn't mind sharing in her Erikasexuality since she loved herself as much as she loved Astrid.

Truly that was the best example of what her preferences would be, perfect now she knew exactly what she was, and now she could express those very thoughts to the crush which was slightly crushing her.

"I'm glad you like the height increase, Astrid, though you should probably shower and put on a change of clothes. That and I was curious Astrid, see I sort of found you attractive just now, but since I can be anything, and that means I am the best at everything, I was wondering if you would want to be an Erikasexual with me, the perks are you like me, what do you say?"

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Guest 26th December 2017, 10:33 pm

The elf was happy, no, overjoyed with the simple fact she was a couple inches taller, to the point where nothing else in this situation matter right now. No matter how much milk she drank she could never get even one inch more, let alone two. So this was basically a miracle for someone who has been trying to get this result for their entire life time. Why didn't she ask to be taller in the first place, back when they first made their deal? Of course she had to be dumb and ask for a body that resembled her old one the closest. How idiotic could she be? Wait, don't answer that. She didn't need to know. Erika already reminded her enough.
The hug could have probably lasted longer. As well as enjoying her newfound tallness the elf also quite enjoyed the warmth radiating from the woman's body. It was funny, to think that but a few months ago Astrid thought of Erika as nothing more than a cold-hearted beast who lived for nothing more than her own gain, crushing the dreams of others under her mighty ego. But the dragon was so much more than that. Just like anyone she too had her fears, insecurities, and ambitions, no matter how much she tried to act like none of them existed. Honestly, if it hadn't been for the dinner party she might have never even gotten to know her like this. As much of a psychopath as Sombra was, there was something he managed to help with, she guessed.
For some reason, during these thoughts Astrid found herself not wanting to let go of Erika, and instead held onto her more tightly. This was more human contact she has had in a few minutes than over the past couple of weeks. Humans were social creatures by nature. Even introverts craved attention in one way or another, and Astrid was no introvert by any means. So as a social butterfly, keeping herself away from society was taking its toll on her. She didn't want to let go of Erika, in fear if she did she would be alone again. She was one of the only ones who noticed her self destructive behavior, and the only one who cared enough to stop her. It's almost like, she cared about her or something. That was a bit of a strange thought. Erika, caring about her? What was next, Kaisto was a girl? Yeah, right, like that was a thing.
Still, the thought of Erika actually caring about her, it brought a soft smile to her face. Maybe she had been a little brash with the thread mage. She was only trying to do what was best for her. At least, that's what Astrid thought.
But then Erika ruined the moment.
Purple eyes shot wide open, finally realizing why Erika had felt so warm to her.
    She was naked.
    In front of her.
Erika was touching her body... Naked body...

A bright red blush warmed her face. Erikasexual? What did that even mean? It had the word sex in it, so it probably meant something perverted. Hitting on her while she was naked? What kind of harassment was this?
The saint slammed the palm of her hand over Erika's eyes, using the other to hold up and cover her chest.
"W-What? No! Stop being so perverted! Get out! Out out out!" Pushing forward Astrid force Erika to the door and shove her outside, fuming all the way. Once forced out Astrid would close the door on her, glaring crimson eyes at it to make sure she wouldn't come back in. If nothing would happen, the guild master would let out a light sight and lean against the closed exit, clasping her hands over her face to try and hide her reddened skin despite the fact no one else was in the room with her. Maybe, she was just trying to hide it from herself, hating the idea of feeling so embarrassed. Erika had seen her naked before, it should be no big deal. Well, she had at least seen the empty shells which were also known as her body naked. But still, it wasn't a civilized thing to do. You didn't just look at people's naked bodies and tell them you're attracted to them. Well, only couples did that. And they were certainly many things, but they were not a couple. To think she did it so bluntly too... Didn't that girl have any restraint?
Feeling a pounding in her chest Astrid rose her hand, and placed it upon where the throbbing was, directly over her heart. It was practically racing, most likely from the intense energy she exerted just now, at least that's what she figured it was anyway. Any faster, and she was sure it would leave her chest. She clutched it tighter, looking off to the side.
    "... Idiot."

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Special Snowflake 29th December 2017, 10:27 pm

Erika's plan had worked flawlessly, now was the time that Astrid would tell her that she too was into this new form of being. So Erika was caught off guard as Astrid turned red and wanted her to leave the room. Erika just wanted Astrid to understand her brilliant discovery but instead, she seemed angry about the whole thing. Why would Astrid be angry that Erika invited her to be apart of something so great, why would any women be mad when another said they should join their sexuality while they were naked and... oh Erika got it now. Astrid didn't think she was attractive enough to be apart of Erika's sexuality, so she clearly didn't want to lower the status of the new sexuality. Had Erika not made her look good enough? Erika thought she looked fantastic, but maybe Astrid was unhappy with the proportion or something? Erika was honestly confused right now and... wait why was Erika confused? HOW COULD SHE BE CONFUSED!? It makes no sense, Erika was never confused, she didn't understand, Astrid should have loved it because Erika loved it...

Was Astrid being angry with Erika to mean that Erika did something wrong? Erika can't do anything wrong, she's Erika, she's perfect! Astrid thought otherwise, however, and it made Erika pretty pissed off. Walking away from the door in a huff Erika stomped down the hallway flustered.

"How could that bitch be so ungrateful to me, I never screw anything up!"

"Sounds like you never get to screw anything."

The voice pierced the hallway with its horrific pre-teen sounding nerdy pulse. Slowly Erika's head turned towards the assailant who would DARE to say something condescending about her. With a smug look the man in glasses started to chuckle as Erika's head turned to look back only for his face to shift to horror as she didn't turn her body around to look, instead she shapeshifted her body to allow her head to spin all the way around to stare at him, blanky, into his very soul. Blinking twice, slowly, Erika tilted her head to her left and smiled.

    "U FoCkIn wUt mEiGhT!?"

In the next few moments, the man would find himself in the airlock chamber, and soon, ejected into space. He knew he was done for, so he muttered a 'worth it" to himself, and as his frozen corpse flew by the viewing window his epitaph was him with two middle fingers straight up towards Erika, who couldn't help but respect his decision. Truly he was a man with no fear or at least a very smug demeanor. Erika would miss the fellow, perhaps she would clone him one day in order to kill him all over again, that sounded better than forcing children to work in sweatshops at twice the normal speed whenever she was bored. Perhaps this trip would show her new ways to amuse herself or new ways to frustrate her beyond imagination.

Still, why did Astrid hate Erika, was it because she didn't touch her? Did Astrid not know what it meant to be touched in that way, or was it because she thought Erika did want to touch her like that? Erika didn't understand this whole girl thing, then again aside from fashion Erika was pretty much dead inside when it came to most forms of emotions beyond sadism and pancakes. Yes to Erika pancakes were an emotion, moving on. Was Erika thinking this making her a pervert? Erika couldn't be perverted though, she didn't view anyone in a perverted light, unless her using of others was perverted, but she was pretty sure enslaving an entire race to power her car wasn't perverted, it was just efficient. Still, she would have to do some more research on this whole topic of being a perverted idiot was, and for that, she needed to visit the lacrinet.

Only after a few minutes of searching up perverted idiot had Erika realized her massive mistake and greatest discovery. On these places called forums there were massive amounts of people who ha never had any form of contact with the opposite sex and instead just complained and voiced their opinions all day about such subjects. Erika had found it, her second paradise, these places called forums were just so meta to her, considering she knew she was just a character on one anyway, but on these forums, she could say whatever she wanted and just offend people left and right. Now she could do it those not brave enough to come outside and those who were brave enough to come outside, this place was the best! That and it had loads of what she could only assume was... adult content, not that it compared to what she had already seen in person. As she spent a few hours on there, anyone who threatened her she told them to fight her IRL, and gave Astrid's house address to them, the best part was it was in the golden phoenix guild area, so if those nerds could even get past the guardian phoenixes Erika would be surprised.

Still, Erika hoped that Astrid wouldn't get lost or encounter anything weird on the ship, last Erika knew the scientists weren't the most stable, turning her head to look out her window she saw the man's body float by once again and flip her off, or the smartest of individuals.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Guest 30th December 2017, 6:12 pm

No matter how much she scrubbed, she could never wash away the grimy feeling of being sexual harassed.
Or maybe that was just the cloning fluid.
Either way when Astrid exited the warm shower she noticed her skin and hair held a bit rubbery, like instead of water she had showered with glue. It was a bit of a downer, seeing as how this was her first shower in a while. She would have liked to enjoy it more instead of having to scrub so hard her skin turned red. But other than that it had been quite nice and relaxing. Well, pretty much anything was relaxing after what she had just gone through. The cloning liquid had come off quite easily, so she wasn't blue anymore, but it left this gross residue in its place. A bit annoying, but she supposed she would get over it. It would probably come off with time. After all, Erika didn't feel like this... Actually maybe thinking about the way Erika felt was a little awkward right now. Seriously, what was that girl thinking? Shooting her in the head and bringing her onto this ship without consent? And then asking her to be whatever that sexual thing meant with her? Just when she thought she had seen the height of the thread mage's weird nature, she did this. She was full of surprises, good and bad.
The elf let out a sigh, plopping onto the bed with a single white towel wrapped around her figure. She ran a finger over her arm, wincing at the grimy feeling before beginning to dig her nails at it in another attempt to get rid of it. She certainly hoped this wouldn't stay on her skin, she didn't exactly want to feel dirty for the rest of her life. If it did, she would ask Erika for another body in compensation.
She scratched more viciously at her skin, growing frustrated when nothing was coming off. Eventually she gave up, knowing no matter what it wasn't going to come off.
"She better know how to get this off, or i'll..." the tasty scent of breakfast made her waver on her sentence, looking beside her to see the tray of assorted foods set out so nicely. And beside it, laid her clothes, which looked to be straight out of her closet from home. "I'll..." her voice grew less agitated. She probably made that by herself, just for her. Erika had actually taken the time to make her feel comfortable, which was rare for her, at least with other people. The elf let out a breath through her nose, feeling her stomach yearn to be filled. She couldn't stay mad at her, not for long anyway. Where Erika faltered in some moral areas she made up for it in those that counted. In a way, she reminded Astrid of Lucius. Simply a misunderstood soul that didn't quite understand some of society's norms. Both of them showed their love in weird ways, and in Erika's way, she was trying to help the slayer. She may have shot her, she may have violated her, but in the end it was because she cared.
Astrid picked up the fork from the plate, and cut off a piece of the egg before popping it into her mouth. Purple eyes shone, a small, soft smile forming on her lips.
    "... Not bad."

Astrid spent the next couple of minutes eating before drying off and dressing herself appropriately. Instead of dressing herself like she did normally, she chose something a little different. But seeing how this was supposed to be some sort of vacation she saw no harm in doing so. Casual clothing would help set the mood a little more.
After dressing she decided the next best thing would probably be to look around the ship a little, seeing as how she was going to be living on it for six months. There were obviously other people here, she could feel a few of their souls roaming about the ship, so at least her and Erika would not be alone. So it would be a good idea to introduce herself to the others also. Yeah, that was a good plan.
At least it would have been, if she took something into consideration.
    Her terrible sense of direction.
It had been only but a few minutes since she exited her room in order to look around, but all she could seem to do was wander from hallway to hallway, each one looking the same exact as the last. Each one was narrow, each one led into the other, and after only but a few turns... She ended up losing where she was.
Minutes turned to literal hours, as all of her surrounding began to blend together. By now she was starting to freak out, desperately trying to use the positions of other souls within her ship to feel around. But with all these dead ends and weird turns, they weren't exactly helping much.
After a while, she ended up leaning against the metal walls and slumped her shoulders forward, letting out a tired groan. "I'll never find my way around this big metal can..." Was this how she was going to die? Lost in a maze of metal and nerds? Maybe they would get worried and send out a search party for her... But what if she died before they could reach her?! And what would Erika do to her body when they found her?! It wasn't something she wanted to think about.

    "Psst, hey!"
A voice caught her off guard. It snapped her away from her thoughts, her gaze wildly looking around for the source of the voice.
    "Hey, over here!"

"H-Hello!?" she removed herself from the wall, trying to pinpoint where this voice was coming from. Or maybe it wasn't actually coming from anywhere and she was just imagining it because she was so sleep deprived. "Hello?! Where are you??"

"Down here, moron!" It talked again. Maybe that didn't mean she was insane after all. The only problem was... She couldn't seem to find it.
At least, until she spotted a green pickle on the ground next to her. Astrid stopped in her tracks, staring down at the vegetable. It was strange, but there was some kind of spiritual essence radiating from it... Wait... No it couldn't be...
She bent down, picking up the pickle before turning it over. To her surprise, it was a normal pickle... Except for two things. This pickle, had two beady eyes and a mouth.
"I turned myself into a pickle! I'm pickle Miiiick!" The pickle burped soon after it screamed its name. Astrid stared, and it stared back. She continued to stare, and it continued to stare back. Eventually, a few seconds had passed before Astrid grasped a hold of the situation.
That's right, she really was insane from the lack of sleep. That was it. That was the only explanation. She was seeing living pickles as a hallucination.
More silence came, before the pickle broke it with his loud obnoxious voice.
"Wait a minute, aren't you that thing the one crazy chick had inside that cloning vat? You know for her clone, you don't really look anything like her. What are they teaching kids in science schools these days?"
Astrid did not answer, and simply dropped the pickle back onto the ground. The pickle let out a sound of pain, and watched as Astrid began to slink away slowly.
"HEY HEY WAIT YOU'RE LOST RIGHT?!" Mick questioned, having seen the girl's distress. Astrid paused in her tracks.
"You think you can help me out a little? Look, if you can carry me i can direct you into the main hall, i know this ship like the back of my grandma's fake boob."
Astrid turned to face hi, raising a single silver eyebrow in question.
"Hey my grandmother lost her left boob during the war, what can i say? You gonna help me or not?"
She might be going crazy, but she wasn't dumb. If this thing really wasn't a hallucination it would help her get out of this mess. And if it was? Well at least she would have a snack to help her not starve to death as fast.

    ...

    "Okay now go left."

"No not that left, the other left."

"There's only two directions how can you be so bad at this? It's like trying to direct an autistic blind mouse."

"Hey! I'm trying my best." Astrid finally responded, getting tired of the pickle's repetitive insults.
It took them a while of wrong turns and yelling, but finally the two made their way to the main hall.

"Oh thank god get me away from this idi-" a blood curdling scream came from Mick as the top of his head was bitten by Astrid, who was now chewing on it thoughtfully, gazing out the window at the stars and the floating statue of some frozen guy flipping them off.

"Hmm... You know stars are a lot smaller than i thought they would be up close..."

"OH GOD THE PAIN MAKE IT STOP!" it continued to scream. "TELL MY WIFE AND KIDS I HATED TH-" it was finally silenced by the guild master taking another bigger bite, seemingly either unaware or not at all caring for the brutal murder she just took part in. Instead she continued to gnaw on the pickle, and question what starlight would taste of.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Special Snowflake 8th January 2018, 9:33 pm

Erika's attention had turned from being confused towards Astrid into enjoying herself against the various antisocials on the web. So far she had managed to get "banned" from several places within but a few hours, in addition to receiving a good ten death threats. As an amusing joke, Erika sent a picture of herself to all of the people who had sent her a death threat. Every single picture was a different person, all prominent in the magical world, though as to who those individuals are you may use your own imagination to determine. A couple of the people she had even killed herself once she found out their locations and ordered a clone to go there. While most of them were just fat guys cuddling pony blankets, one of them seemed like a charming man till Erika saw his mother with wounds and decided that the only way to punish a man who beats his own mother, is to beat him with his own mother. The mother was upset but it's fine because Erika was in a compassionate and helpful mood, so she just killed her too instead of letting her cry for the rest of her life.

Yep, Erika was the pinnacle of a saint, a WIZARD SAINT perhaps? That was an amusing thought to her if she got accepted as a wizard saint wouldn't that mean the entire system was flawed? Now she wanted to try it if only she could care about the opinions of others enough to even apply. Wait, that izayucky person was a wizard saint, right? Erika could always just beat her up, AND take her lunch money at the same time. That was a good plan, or it would have been if Izayuki wasn't Astrid's mom and that would probably kill Astrid liking Erika back. Erika supposed if she wanted to become a wizard saint or whatever she would have to do it the hard way with work and effort. Yeah, she'd just get her own saints with blackjack and hookers, actually forget the saints and the blackjack... and the hookers. maybe she could get Astrid to wear... Looking over her shoulder Erika saw the bunny suit in her closet and laughed if Astrid wore that it would be hilarious.

It took a bit but Erika almost worked up the courage to go and talk to Astrid again and try and explain why being erikasexual was the best thing ever and wasn't Erika asking for dirty deeds when a certain event happened and Erika couldn't bother to face her. There was nothing wrong with what happened explicitly but... well Astrid just didn't understand the proper mating ritual between seahorses and viewed it as unsettling to see, that and Erika was also having some happy time and... well now everything was just awkward. Erika wanted to explain to Astrid what really happened but she was both too embarrassed and didn't want Astrid to hear vulgar words for some reason. It just didn't sit well in Erika's mind to have Astrid start to think about &$%# and @$&%$ and @#$ and so on. Erika just viewed that Astrid's lips were too pure to... wait no there was that one time in the mansion Astrid was having a bit too much fun killing everyone. Erika just hoped that was a phase of the mansion having an effect on her rather than Astrid's true nature. Then again if Astrid was like that deep down Erika might have some fun with her on torture night. Not torturing her but torturing people with her, which would be fantastic.

For some reason, Erika didn't see Astrid for a good couple months after that incident, well she did but... whenever Erika would try and find Astrid, Astrid would always run off or hide. Most of the time she would hide under a lampshade or curtains with her stupid pink kitty slippers poking out. Erika didn't have the heart to tell her she was mentally ill and so would just move on. It was a bit depressing without Astrid all she had to deal with were these scientists and this one boy who kept asking where Uncle Mick was. Erika was getting really sick of his constant crying about how his uncle was gone and he had turned himself into a pickle, so Erika told him if he didn't shut up she would turn him into a sandwich. He didn't believe her, Erika had a Rorty dip that night. Many questioned what happened to Rorty... for five minutes and then they remembered he was annoying as shit and decided to go about their lives on the ship in peace, and fear, of the two crazy girls on board.

Finally, it was less than a day till they would reach planetfall and all of the scientists decided to have a game of poker, but not just any type of game, a game of strip poker. Erika decided to show up, though she had misplaced the bunny suit that she wanted one of the losers to wear. Erika certainly wouldn't be the loser as she could never lose at anything. Hopefully, for the first time in about three months, Astrid would show her face to Erika and Erika could claim that it was due to the ovipositor and, well Erika could just explain herself in any case.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Guest 9th January 2018, 3:16 pm

It didn't take until a few hours after the consumption of pickle Mick for the reality of his gruesome death it actually sink into the elf's mind. In fact, she probably would have remained blissfully unaware of her actions if it wasn't for some young boy on the ship asking where his uncle was, to which Astrid would always begin to sweat profusely before swiftly exiting the room with some kind of made up excuse that she left her refrigerator running and she had to go catch it. Eventually, after a few days of dodging the question, Rorty stopped asking. Actually... He just seemed to stop showing up altogether. A bit concerning, but if he was gone then she no longer had to linger over the murder. It was a bit horrid, especially for Astrid of all people, for her to thank the Gods a little boy just suddenly vanished one day. But the thought of going to jail because she accidentally ate some human turned pickle in her sleep deprived and hungered state was too much for her to bare. She had seen Black Is The New Orange, space jail was no place to drop the soap. Unless you had a rope, and she didn't exactly get to bring rope on this trip. But that was beside the point. She wasn't going to jail, not anymore anyway, and she could thankfully move on with her life being the only one to ever know what happened. Hopefully now, seeing as how she was stuck where with no way of getting back home, she could enjoy herself at least a little.

... Then it happened. It, being probably one of everyone's top fears.
Actually, in this case it was probably more specific than anything.
She had never viewed seahorses as sexual before. Why would anyone? They were sea creatures, just going about their sea creature life. In fact Astrid quite enjoyed the thought of seahorses. She already enjoyed land horses quite a bit, having grown up with the creatures in Peace Village. A stereotypical girly thing maybe, but you couldn't deny horses were cool, especially when you also grew up with the thought of your knight in shining armor galloping up to you atop his trusty stead. Yes horses were in fact cool. So horses that lived in the ocean? How even more cool was that? Granted, they didn't like anything like actually horses. But just the name alone always managed to catch Astrid's love.
... At least they used to. Until the day the slayer stumbled upon Erika watching some kind of seahorse... Erotica. Astrid, while being foreign in the world of the birds and the bees with first hand experiences, was not numb to the idea of said things as a whole. Actually Mikka had managed to explain it all quite well back in their youth. But while having decent knowledge on what it was exactly, it didn't mean she was okay with it just out in the open. Such things should remain private, at least in her opinion. This has lead to her being embarrassed and flustered just at the thought of anything like that.
It had all started with a need for a hairbrush. The guild master had misplaced her own, and in a desperate search for, wanted to ask Erika for her's. Oh, how innocent of a request it would have been. But instead of finding a brush, she instead found r͢͠҉͜e̶̛͠t͜͜r̡͠a̵̧͟͠c҉̨͜t̵̷e̸̕d̵̀ ̀́ and also some r͏͢e͡҉t͢͟r̸̴͞͡͠ą̸̴̡c̡̨̛t̕͞e̵̷͘͞d͏͢ ̨͜͟r̷e҉҉̢͢t̛̕҉̡͏ŕ̶̸͟͠a̶͡͝҉c͡t͏ę́͘͡d̴͜͏͏ ̴r̴̨e̶͏t̡͢͡͝ŕ͝͠ą͝c̴̴̡t̴̢̕͢ę̨̕d̵͠͝ ̷̵́ as Erika was having some ŕ͟e҉͞t҉̸̨r͜҉á̕c̸̵͘͝t́e̢̕͜d̷̨̛ ̧͡͞͡ ŕ͟e҉͞t҉̸̨r͜҉á̕c̸̵͘͝t́e̢̕͜d̷̨̛ ̧͡͞͡ ŕ͟e҉͞t҉̸̨r͜҉á̕c̸̵͘͝t́e̢̕͜d̷̨̛ ̧͡͞͡ ŕ͟e҉͞t҉̸̨r͜҉á̕c̸̵͘͝t́e̢̕͜d̷̨̛ ̧͡͞͡ ŕ͟e҉͞t҉̸̨r͜҉á̕c̸̵͘͝t́e̢̕͜d̷̨̛ ̧͡͞͡.
Little to say, it ended awkwardly between the two with Astrid slowly exiting the room and actively avoiding the woman for the next few months.
She now no longer enjoyed seahorses.

It wasn't until the day they were scheduled to land did Astrid see the thread mage again. She supposed she couldn't escape not seeing her any longer... Even if she did think about R̴̡̕È҉̵͘͜T̴͜R̵̸͝A̵̕C̵̸͞͝T̨͢͝͠E̴͟D̡̛͡ every time she thought about her. But well, it was impossible to escape her forever. Eventually, she would end up talking to her again anyway. They were almost at the planet, and one way or another and she destined to make eye contact. It would be more awkward if they just didn't get it out with.
And what better way to make things less awkward than a game of strip poker?
Strip poker? Astrid had actually agreed to such a game when she got awkward over walking in on someone R̴̡̕È҉̵͘͜T̴͜R̵̸͝A̵̕C̵̸͞͝T̨͢͝͠E̴͟D̡̛͡? Yes, yes she did. It may come as a surprise to most. Actually, Astrid had even thought of declining the offer at first. Normal poker was fine, in actuality she was pretty good at it. But strip poker? It just seemed unnecessary and too lewd. But within that small mind of hers a plan began to brew. A twisted plan. Was she being infected by Erika's sadistic nature? Perhaps. Or perhaps, the thread mage had simple tapped into it. Either way, surprisingly, the elf agreed to the game.
It would be fun, especially given the thing she had found laying around the main hall not that long ago...

The silvernette took a seat across from the dragon and what little of the scientists they had left after so many minor mishaps they have had over the three month trip. Weirdly, she seemed rather calm and collected. She looked better than she had been at the start, at least. While still a little pale due to her normal complexion her skin had grown back some color. The bags and dark circles underneath her eyes were almost gone. And overall her posture and just looks in general looked to be more well kept and more like her graceful self, unlike before.
She crossed her legs over each other, leaning forward so her elbows sat upon the table. She placed her chin gently atop intertwined fingers before her violet gaze stared at Erika. A small smirk etched the corner of her lips.
"Are we all ready then?" she would ask lightly, seeing as how the cards were already laid out evenly across the table top. A certain weird air of confidence would lead out from her tone of voice, but nothing too unsettling. To anyone else, it would just seem as though she was actually excited to play.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Special Snowflake 13th January 2018, 12:23 am

Erika could feel the tension in the air as Astrid came to sit down at the table. Erika hadn't spoken with her for a good couple of months, ever since the incident and so she didn't know if Astrid was angry with her or just disappointed. Frankly, Erika's nerves were hitting an all-time high as she looked upon the silver-haired smug demon and was ready to kill everyone at the table to explain to her just what she had been doing all those nights ago. The mating ritual of a seahorse was just so fascinating and Erika was just so frustrated that...

"Hello everyone and welcome to this bonding activity, I thought that all of us could play a fun few games of poker and maybe even sweeten the deal with a bit of stripp---"

The man couldn't finish his sentence when Erika in a cold sweat slammed her hands on the desk and looked towards Astrid with a freaked out look in her eye.

"Look, Astrid, it was just seahorses and I was only doing what comes naturally to those who are frustrated when the one they like doesn't even acknowledge that---"

"Miss Erika! How DARE you interrupt me, I was about to say we will be playing some strip poker for... research purposes and you just start ranting about seahorses please just sit down."

The man stated as he looked annoyed towards the blue haired girl who had just started to rant about seahorses. The professor, the man with a grey afro was a well-respected member of bullshitology having gotten his degree from the University of Social Justice. His true name was lost to time, mostly because he only went by the professor to inflate his massive ego and to impress the ladies, but Erika wasn't impressed at all. She would prefer to actually mate with a seahorse than see this guy get naked, but alas Erika had to win this competition because Erika simply can't ever lose. It meant that she would get to see Astrid in... less than modest clothing and by that none. Not that Erika hadn't seen Astrid naked already but, forcing her into the position of removing the clothes herself made Erika...

Reel back in her mind and think about just how wrong that was, that was a horrible fantasy. Erika now had to cleanse her mind of that idea with a new idea one that would fill Erika with peace. So naturally, she thought about murdering every single person on the ship minus Astrid as she had already done that. Maybe there would be a giant eldritch monster that would eat everyone on the planet but the youngest scientist who had dreams of becoming something greater, then Erika could leave him behind to be eaten alive for fun. Wait a minute, weren't they missing a few scientists, well besides the one she killed.

"Say do you guys know where that pickle guy is? I know I ate the kid he brought with him but... I'm curious how a pickle would play strip poker."

"Yes well what happened to my colleague who insulted you huh? He had established a permanent orbit around the ship, so I bet you killed the pickle man!"

"I wouldn't eat him without any condiments and you know we can't have any professor because dick justice over there is allergic to everything!"

A slightly shorter man with a life preserver on sighed. "Sorry..."

"It's okay Dick, you won't survive the journey anyway, none of you will."

    "I beg your pardon?"

"Oh nothing... nothing at all, let's play!"

With that Erika grabbed the deck of playing cards and started to pass them out to the various scientists that Ami could describe in her post cause I'm too damn lazy to describe there here. Erika was dead set on one goal, get Astrid naked, and kill the scientists, and she was running out of scientists.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Guest 17th January 2018, 12:17 am

The woman held her confidently sly expression on Erika, despite the still somewhat aura of awkwardness between the two. Normally, if this was in any other situation Astrid still may have felt the same way, avoiding eye contact or shifting in her seat uncomfortably as she thought about the... Events. But this time around? The thread mage was the only one currently feeling this way. It was a pretty big turn of events. Anyone who may know the two well would think this situation would be flipped, with Astrid being the awkward one and Erika being overly confident. To anyone, it may seem like this was an alternate dimension where the two women switched personalities. But it was no such case, and merely a rare moment in which their feelings seemed to be polar opposites of their usual natures.
Astrid only broke eye contact with the thread mage when the scientist who had set this game up to begin with started to speak. She honestly didn't know why he had to explain himself. They all knew why they were here and what they were doing. Maybe it was a bit of a weird thing for the elf, being annoyed that someone was going out of their way to justify their actions. A lot of the time, she did the same exact thing. But the slight feeling of annoyance was still their within the slayer. Despite the nice and calming vacation the pure ball of stress and anxiety was still in her. Well, it had always been in there, just like her spurt on anger. But her work had managed to unlock these emotions, or at least push them forward to the surface more often. She just wanted to get this game going. She couldn't wait to show Erika how it felt to be sexually harassed. Plus the surprise she brought along. That would be fun also... Wait, that was weirdly sadistic, especially for Astrid. Maybe her annoyance and frustration brought more to the surface than she realized.
Astrid leaned her head against the open palm of her hand, preparing herself to get through the probably long winded introduction of what they would be doing. At least, they would have. If Erika didn't seem to just suddenly snap. The slayer jumped up slightly when the dragon's hands slammed onto the top of the table. Violet eyes blinked rapidly, surprised by the sudden outburst. The silvernette didn't even get to comprehend what she was saying. Something about seahorses and how what she was doing just came naturally. No, Erika. No it did not come naturally. As far as she knew no one in their right mind would be looking at seahorse porn. Not that her process on this matter got very far, as the word seahorse was mentioned. The elf could no longer think of seahorses the same ever again, and would blank out each time someone brought them up, entering into a state of what looked to be some kind of post traumatic stress disorder. Her mind would go blank, and all she would be able to think about was the size of that creatures' R̴̡̕È҉̵͘͜T̴͜R̵̸͝A̵̕C̵̸͞͝T̨͢͝͠E̴͟D̡̛͡.
So basically a lot of what was said flew completely over Astrid's head... Until a certain vegetable man was brought up.
The question about pickle Mick snapped her back from the traumatic state, in which all it ended up doing was completely wipe whatever smug and confident aura she had before. The elf shivered, a cold sweat rolling off her body. "I-I can't go to jail... Not the soap... Never the soap..." Just thinking about what they did in space prison and the horrific stories she read made her purple optics retract in size.
Hearing Erika completely gloss over everything and trying to start the game, Astrid couldn't help but agree... Very strongly.
"YES I AGREE PLAY GAME, GAME IS GOOD" she yelled suddenly, instantly picking up her cards and now avoiding eye contact. Of course her aura of confidence and smug didn't last long. It was never meant to last long.

However, as they played the game and the pickle situation was forgotten, the elf's confidence began to rose once again. As each round passed more and more clothing was removed. A bit of a downer for most in the room, as the only people really getting naked were the scientists. Which wasn't really fun for anyone. But more importantly, she was managing to get Erika more and more unclothed by the round. How exactly? Well, what do you think the kids in Peace Village did for fun? Run around and play by the water, or catch bugs? No of course not. They gambled. It was a popular past time in such a small village. The boys taught her over the course of the years, figuring they would be able to cheat the girl out of her savings. But somehow, maybe from pure skill or just dumb luck, Astrid at one point even managed to surpass most of them. Granted, most of the time it was by cheating. She had discovered the power of hiding cards up her sleeves at a very young age, and using it to your advantage always gave your an advantage. While being against cheating the majority of the time, the girl quickly realized if your opponents were cheating... Well... Cheating back was only fair. This time however? She didn't know if anyone was cheating exactly. But because this was mostly a lesson for Erika, she would let herself cheat maybe a little bit. Not by sleeves this time, as it would be useless seeing as how she let herself lose a couple of rounds to make sure no one would catch on. And because of that, she would have no sleeves to use. But rather, she hid them within her soul until it was time to use them, a neat little stick the soul dragon had taught her not too long ago. Apparently, she could stick anything she wanted in there and retrieve it later. Very covenant, actually. She should have discovered it sooner.

Purple eyes gleamed joyfully behind her cards, letting out a "kukuku" before flicking them down onto the table. "Royal flush~" she grinned.
Seeing the winning card set the scientists all sighed and groaned, leaning back in their seats as they instantly regretted bringing the idea of this game up. They wanted to see the girls naked, but only were getting naked themselves. Granted, they did get to see them in a rather scandalous fashion. Astrid herself was only down to her bra and undergarments. But that was only because she didn't want the others to grow suspicious. She would not, however, allow anyone to see any more than that.
She leaned into the table and stared across to Erika, who was also barely wearing anything at this point, giving her a sly grin. After that flush? Well, she was about to not be wearing anything.
"Come on, Erika~ You know what the bet was."

Post by Special Snowflake 8th February 2018, 8:02 pm

"Astrid, I swear to me if you make me wear that outfit I will KILL THAT MAN!"

Pointing towards one of the scientists, he merely sighed and accepted his fate. He was the only sane one left right now, and over the course of these few months he figured out that Erika was actually a different Erika who had killed his entire family for not providing her proper entertainment. He had spent his entire life, and by that it was two years, trying to get revenge and now that she was here he realized that it was pointless to try and kill her. His entire life was now ruined all because she just wanted those damn crunch bars, those damn crunch bars. If only his family hadn't all been working at that factory none of them would have died when it exploded. If only he hadn't developed the new flavor of chocolate for the bars if only his family had lived if only he didn't fill the bars with deez nutz. If only he had known sooner who she was, he could have formulated a plan to poison her with crunch bars and then to finally have his revenge, but when he realized she could just hop into a new body he gave up. He almost hung himself in her room so he would die while having a load in his pants and stink up the room, but then he realized that it wouldn't work as she had air freshener. Truly the vile witch had thought of everything, and now he would pay the price for it, but wait he had one thing left he could say. As Erika took off the last remains of her clothes and got changed into the bunny suit the man looked Erika dead in the face and said...

    "You call those tits?"

That was his magnum opus of revenge, he insulted her chest, and as Erika stared shocked at him he knew that he had claimed some form of victory. He saw his death approach but it never came instead Erika just enjoyed a casual smile towards him, which sent shivers down his spine, she wasn't going to make this quick, she was going to take her time and enjoy herself. Instead, Erika had to subject herself to humiliation right now at the hands of Astrid, who Erika swore was cheating somehow.

    "Fine Astrid, i'll wear it."

Erika stated begrudgingly, she didn't want to wear it but at the same time she did lose the several hands, and she could give Astrid this one thing right? Completely removing what was left of her clothing Erika changed into the bunny outfit, the other scientists all surprised that she would just take the remainder of her clothes off like that in front of all of them, till they realized Erika probably wasn't going to let any of them live and they all got a bit depressed. It wasn't every day you got a bit of a show and then realized you weren't going home. Tightening the outfit on her body Erika sighed as she felt embarrassed.

    "You happy Astrid?"

Erika stated with annoyance right as an alarm went off to signal that they were preparing to land on the planet, and the scientists all got nervous. They had reached their destination but that meant they were probably all dead. Getting up the various scientists began to head over to prepare for the landing while Erika smiled towards Astrid.

"I'll see you down on the planet Astrid."

Laughing a bit in a sinister way Erika left the room to prepare herself to go down to the planet, though she figured if she removed the bunny outfit Astrid would be mad at her so she kept that on. As the ship landed and the crew began to leave the ship angry grunting could be heard coming from one of the less visited closets nearby the room of the now dead Pickle Mick. Hopefully no one thought that the grumbles were a ghost or something, but knowing who was in this ship it would probably be viewed as something strange that would kill them or something.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Guest 8th February 2018, 11:42 pm

Ah, yes. Everything was going according to keikaku. She had won flawlessly against Erika, which is something she was actually quite proud of given compared to the thread mage she was lacking is most departments. You would think if Erika wanted to win that badly then she would have warped reality or something to make Astrid lose... In fact, now that the elf thought about it, it was rather strange that Erika had not actually did anything to mess with the game, at least nothing that she noticed. It was quite suspicious. Maybe Erika just wasn't a sore loser.
The silvernette cast a curious purple gaze over to the thread mage as she pondered upon those thoughts, only to quickly realized she was changing into the bunny suit right in front of her and the scientists. It was also within this moment that she knew none of them were coming back alive anyway.
Her gaze widened, caught off guard by this action. Of all things she thought Erika would have, it would be common decency. You know, not changing in front of others and all. Just what was she thinking?! Sure, this was strip poker and all... But even Astrid did not think she would actually go through to the extreme. If anything, the slayer was expecting something along the lines of a blush and to maybe get a bullet in her head again. Which is what made it fun in the first place. But now that she was actually doing it? It felt kind of... Wrong.
The silvernette's face burned red and quickly averted her gaze to the wall on her right to be polite, though found her gaze traveling back to the thread mage every once in a while, merely out of pure curiosity... In her honest opinion, there wasn't really anything left up to the imagination. She was as flat as she thought she was... In fact maybe flatter. It was a little disappointing.

Soon the ship landed, and Erika fitted herself into the bunny costume. Everyone left the room to put on some fresh clothes and gather their things... Well, almost everyone. While Erika walked away Astrid lingered behind, watching her leave. Not to stare at her in the bunny costume. Now that she was somewhat clothed what excitement and curiously she felt towards the thread mage's body wore off. Rather, she did not like this sudden feeling she was getting. Erika felt... A little off. More off than usual. It was not a feeling that she could quite explain. But whatever it was, it did not feel like Erika. Her aura felt... Completely different, like she was a whole other person.
Her gaze lingered for a moment longer, before the silvernette was able to shrug it off. It was probably nothing. They had not talked in a while, after all. Maybe something happened while she was avoiding her. Whatever it was, it would not interfere with their mission. She would like to get this done and over with so she could go back home.

Making her way down the hallway back to her room Astrid found herself stopping by a nearby closet. Not because she heard the noises. Rather, for another reason.
The slayer slid the door open carefully. The door that once opened reveled a tied up Erika. Astrid blinked once, staring right at the woman with a neutral gaze for a few long moments.
"... Ah, there they are." She reached right over her body, like it wasn't even there, and grabbed her white flats. Once obtained she closed the door and began to walk away in order to prepare herself for the mission.
... Okay, she wasn't that mean. In actuality, she left the closet door closed for a few seconds before opening it once more, crossing her arms over her chest and leaning against the side of the frame, a cheeky smirk forming at the corner of her lips.
"You seem a little tied up. How did you rope yourself into this one?" She asked slyly, the rope jokes fully intentional.

"I swear to me bitch, this isn't the time!"

Erika said in a muffled tone as she struggled to get past the gag in her mouth. Now, this is the part where a joke would be made about her being used to having stuff in her mouth, but really she didn't engage in that sort of activity, mostly because she doesn't do satisfaction for another without any gratification for herself, as that is just unacceptable, if she is going to engage in a lewd activity of that caliber Erika would wish to enjoy herself. Besides Erika wasn't Aiyana, she wasn't just going to snort a line and this is no longer a PG13 friendly line of thinking and thus shall end now. Regardless Erika was in a perilous position right now and needed help to break free, but of course, Astrid was just making jokes at her expense, how rude could Astrid be!? Who in the entire world would make fun of someone who was in peril and not just helps them? If that hypocritical way of thinking swimming through Erika's brain right now wasn't a clue as to much trouble and annoyance she was in and feeling, well, nothing would properly convey it.

    "Get me out of here!"

Erika tried to shout at Astrid, but all she could see was the smug expression of a moron looking down at her, and Erika felt embarrassed in the extreme, she couldn't do anything right now but scream, and all she had was Astrid to rely on to save her, Erika was watching her life slowly fade away before her as the moron probably couldn't even open up a jar. Wait, Astrid could open up a jar, she could open a jar of paste right? That means she could untie a rope, but would she was the question? Astrid might not untie the rope just for the sole sake of holding power over Erika right now, as the rope disabled Erika's abilities for some reason. If Erika wasn't freed from these ropes she would slowly fade away and leave this world behind, or she would just reappear in a clone body back on earth and probably have to revive Astrid again or something cause she would probably die on this Erikaforsaken planet in the middle of nowhere with all of the scientists.

Who was the one who placed Erika in these bindings, for some reason she just couldn't remember? Why was she randomly trying to remember this person right now? Erika, of course, wants revenge against them for what they have done to her naturally, but also she wants to know who would dare try and do this to her, or why they didn't just kill her right away. Seriously that plot hole made no sense at all, that and if they had changed to look like Erika what in the world had they been doing to ruin her reputation, hopefully, they had killed the scientists as that was Erika's plan all along, but if they hadn't killed them and instead let them live, say after a hypothetical game of poker, then Erika would just be really disappointed. if the scientists were still alive when Erika got out of these binds she would kill them herself, except for the one that really wanted to die, they would get to live because they are the only ones who want her to kill them, and thus they didn't deserve it because Erika wasn't in such a kind mood as to mercy kill someone, she wanted them to hate it.

Anger in Erika's eyes she would hope that Astrid would recuse her with post haste and not just continue to mock her.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

She had so much power right now. Too much power. It was actually kind of scary. The only thing scarier than a genius with overwhelming power, was an idiot was overwhelming power. And Astrid was many things, but she was not a genius. She could just leave her here, a sort of payback for all of her past insults and the bullet a couple of months back. Yes, she was still hung up about the bullet thing, even if by now she knew the thread mage's reasons behind it. It didn't make that while experience less painful, or less expensive. Seriously, do you know how hard it is to get blood out of upholstery? Well, Astrid didn't know either. But blood was kind of like apple juice and it was a pain to remove apple juice stains from furniture so blood shouldn't be that much different.
Basically, the elf was getting a high off of having so much power over the life of someone who could destroy entire dimensions with a single sneeze. Normally? If it was anyone else? She would have untied them by now without any hesitation and ran off to find this body double. But because it was Erika, Astrid did not feel as much urgency as she would usually, and therefore would taken this opportunity by the horns. After all, when else was she going to have another scenario like this? Exactly, it would probably never happen again. Much like a shooting star, this was a beautiful moment she would not miss out on. And also much like a shooting star, she would make a wish upon it.
"The Nightshade fashion company. That's your company, right?" she would question, a sudden serious expression covering her face as she looked down to the tied up Erika. "Don't lie, i saw the labels on the back of my clothes. You've owned that company for a very long time, before we met even. Which means all those times you told me you had no money and i bought things for you, in actuality you were just holding out." All those meals, those video games, those weird doujins with that one elf girl on the cover that looked exactly like her. All those things Astrid bought for Erika, Erika could have bought herself. But no, the dragon tricked her out of a ton of money. And now? Well, there was only one thing that could match that price.
She bent down to Erika, giving her a sickly sweet smile.
"In return for my charitable donations and your freedom, i'd like an entire wardrobe of my own picking from your line of clothing, for free of course." The elf would extend a finger and boop the girl on the nose.
    "Do we have a deal?"

If the girl agreed, she would begin the process of untying her. If not, she would just crouch there menacingly.
Either way, she'd get her justice one way or another.

Astrid didn't help Erika out, instead, she sat there and did the unthinkable for Astrid. She blackmailed Erika. The shock of what had just happened rippled through Erika like a tidal wave over a small helpless turtle that just wanted to go back home to its family after a long day or work and had a really bad day. His wife would sit there in their turtle hut and cry as their child had gotten arrested again. That was the same attitude Erika had right now, or rather the attitude that Erika would have had if she had a heart that wasn't filled with evil. In this singular moment Erika witnessed Astrid the purist, well okay Erika wouldn't sacrifice to a volcano god pure but she was good enough, woman that she knew blackmail her, and she had just one reaction. Biting with all of her might Erika threw the gag off as she felt part of her strength come back.

    "Holy shit I love you."

She meant it, in this singular moment Erika saw something in her that made her realize her own feelings, how malicious Astrid could be in this very moment, how she didn't hesitate to make someone in a compromised position pay her up front. Erika was very pleased with what had happened, even if she was being told she had to give her designs which would eventually sell for thousands, though Erika could just make them with ease at any time with her magic she tended to handcraft them the only fashioned way, because it was part of her pride to not only have such a skill with magic that the task would be easy, but skill with her own hands to make it just as well. Did that make sense? To Erika it did and that's all that mattered.

"I'll make you clothes Astrid, I'll make you my entire line up. Anything else you want to ask me for? Come on I'm in a vulnerable position Astrid, you could get away with asking me for nearly anything, though you can't just say I want all your stuff cause then you will lose your edge, but really just clothes? No new piano, or a new office, or a kid-powered generator for when the power goes out but you still want to watch those terrible romance movies!?"

It wasn't the fact that someone was blackmailing another, but it was Astrid blackmailing someone that made Erika feel a rush of love and pride. Astrid had finally seen the light, now if only she killed people in cold blood then her Astrid and Pickle Mick could become the best of friends and take over the pathetic populace of Earthland. Say where was Pickle Mick, he would have freed Erika had he detected something was off, was he preparing the first phase of the plan? Oh well maybe Erika would ask her about him later.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Guest 18th February 2018, 12:17 am

Purple eyes widened, her lips parting slightly but they did not release any sound. Instead she just stared at the woman with wide oculars, blinking rapidly, unsure of what just happened. It was only after a moment of pausing, did a single sound come from her mouth.
    "... E-Eh?"
It had not been the reaction she was expecting, nor the one she was hoping for. Astrid was sure Erika would either refuse her outright or begrudgingly fulfill her wish. But just... Declaring her love for her giving into her demands without a single snarky comeback?... Maybe this wasn't the real Erika after all. Was this just another fake one, much like the Erika from the poker game. Yeah, that was it. It had to be. This was just another fake Erika. There must be the real one somewhere around here.
But much to her dismay, no matter how many times she scanned and rescanned the entire area around the ship, the Erika before her was the real Erika. It was her soul alright, it was hard to miss. There was nothing out of place, other than her personality. Perhaps being tied up in a closet for months on end got to the poor girl. Yeah, that was it. She was in a deranged state of mind. She probably hasn't had food or seen a drop of water in all that time. Plus it was dark, and lonely. She was simply loosing her mind... Now she felt bad. Erika had been tied up for so long and all Astrid did was blackmail her. She had been a bit too harsh.
Astrid's face flushed red, her gaze disconnecting from the dragon's and looking away, trying to advert her awkward gaze. She surely didn't actually mean anything by the love declaration. She was crazed. But still, it caused the elf to become bashful in response. "N-Never mind, keep the clothes, forget i said anything." She fumbled over her words, the heat radiating from her face intensifying the more she thought about it, and just caused her to feel even warmer. What mattered now, was they needed to get out of here and rescue what remaining scientists were left. The fake Erika was sure to be around them. And depending on what their reasons were for coming here, they may be in danger. They didn't need to lose anymore of them. They had already lost too many over the months.
"Here." Allowing the tips of her fingers to cover in silver light the ends of her nails would extend outward in little shining claws. She would inch closer to the woman, and begin quickly cutting through the ropes until they broke apart. As soon as the ropes were torn and Erika was freed, Astrid would not waste a single moment, and grab onto her hand to help her up. She would probably need a bit of help, being a little weird and all. She would not be used to movement, and her muscles and joints were probably locked, so Astrid would help her. Though of course, the physical contact was a little weird after what she had just said. Still, the slayer was not going to let that interfere with their mission.
The blush spread across her cheeks was still there, but slightly softer as she finally gained the courage to look Erika in the eyes once more. "That fake Erika is still with the scientists. We need to find them, before we lose anyone else. They should be down on the planet by now, lets go." Leaving Erika without any time to comment, she would tightly squeeze her hands and pull her down the hallway with force towards the dim abyss of the planet.

The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika] Empty Re: The Other Side Of Paradise • Private, Job [Erika]

Post by Special Snowflake 15th March 2018, 3:39 pm

"There are a few billion people in the world, losing a few won't make much of an impact; and no Astrid they aren't that smart if they decided to go on a three-month voyage with me, that's a suicide pact, not intelligence."

Erika stated as she stood up from her prone position. She was incredibly disappointed that Astrid hadn't tried to blackmail her more, but she wasn't going to push the subject, Astrid clearly was not ready to accept the dark side and attempt to steal candy from children. Would Astrid eventually understand that it was clearly better to not value human life at all and that life could and should be ended easily? Hopefully, she would eventually learn that this is the case, that or Astrid would always be a bit of a hardass when it came to doing certain things, but Erika didn't mind all that much it made Astrid, Astrid now. Regardless Erika was now free and able to try and kill the imposter who had attempted to sabotage the kidnapping Erika had planned, truly a vile fiend. Warping out of Astrid's grip Erika made off towards her room, she wasn't going to fight in three month old clothing.

"Alright, I'll go get a change of clothes and get ready to kick the imposter's ass, but I don't really care about saving the scientists all that much, they were probably going to die on the planet anyway."

She meant it too, keeping them alive didn't mean much to her, the only reason she would even attempt to keep them alive would be so that Erika didn't have to fly the ship they came to this planet on, but even that was pushing it, she had stolen the memories of how to fly from them upon the first contact so their lives were meaningless. Such was the fate of those who were around Erika, their lives were worthless to her, especially if she had already gotten what she wanted from them. Entering her room on the ship for the first time in damn near three months, Erika sighed as she found her clothes all in a messy pile and tried to locate a clean group of them to wear, but instead opted to just make a new outfit right on the spot as it looked like none of them had been cleaned in forever. Making sure to push all the dirty clothes and dishes into a corner so that she could burn all of them later, Erika noticed that her computer was still turned on. Terrified of what could be on her computer Erika slowly entered her password and clicked on the browsing history, Suddenly a pure scream of horror was released from Erika's mouth.

"WHY IS THERE IS MUCH SEAHORSE PORN!?"

A crash sound came from Erika's room as her laptop was thrown outside of her room, through the door, and the door was then thrust off its hinges as Erika entered the hallway with an insane look in her eyes.

    "I MUST PURIFY THIS FILTH!"

Releasing flames from her hands she drowned the laptop within the fiery abyss of her pure hatred for what her eyes could never unsee. If Erika could, she would kill every single seahorse in the entire world just so that they could never mate again. Erika didn't stop, not even after the fire alarm on the ship went off and the water poured down trying to ruin her flames, she just poured more hatred onto the laptop till nothing but ash remained, and then she burned the ash till nothing but cinders remained, then she burned the cinders till nothing but air remained, then she had to stop because she couldn't burn the entirety of all air on the ship and planet, she would have to save that for the return trip.

Panting with nothing but rage in her eyes, Erika focused on the task at hand, the task of killing the one who had dared make her eyes see such filth. He would pay with his life, several times over if she could manage it, and she would enjoy every second of it. Making another new set of clothes for herself Erika went to wait for Astrid in the airlock, to walk onto the planet and exact her revenge.

"At least I got a damn shower."
