The devil's flight had been an easy one but the eyes that looked up towards him were causing him to feel uneasy. It was as if those eyes were analyzing him somehow. Like they wanted to plan an attack or something. He thought it could have been just his mind being paranoid but his suspicions were quickly proved right as a sudden explosion blew up the air in front of him, forcing him to stop moving through the air. He looked around where he was as the sound of the people of Crocus yelling and screaming could be heard from the sound of the explosion. The crowds of people below did not allow him to figure out who or what was attacking him fast enough and before he could discern who it could be another explosion erupted around him and hit him. The explosion caused him to be pushed through the air backwards where he was met by another explosion and another and another until he was forced to the ground by the last one in a mangled mess.
The crowd of people all ran in different directions away from where the devil was brought to the ground and made sure to avoid him at all costs seeing as he was suddenly the target of some type of magical attack. In the chaos of the crowds of people running away Cirven managed to pick himself up from the ground as his healing abilities kicked in and healed his body of the wounds, though the pain from it all still affected him. As he moved himself up from the ground his eyes were brought upon three men wearing some dusty clothing. Cirven saw that they each were holding multiple dynamite sticks and were approaching him from out of the crowd. "
You know, that really was not very welcoming of you guys at all..." He spoke out and then coughed from the damage that was being healed at an quickened pace. The dusty clothed men looked on confused as to how their target was still able to talk but quickly knew what they had to do as they went to light the dynamite in their hands. Eight knives rushed out towards the men and cut the fuses before they could lit them properly as Cirven stood up completely. "
I mean that really did hurt a lot." Purple electricity sparked out around the CEO's body and then he looked as though he had vanished to the men before reappearing in front of them and releasing a field of electricity out from his body that shocked the men painfully until they fell to the ground unconscious. "
I wonder if that compares to what I just felt...?" He spoke out as a spider jumped towards him only to be cut down by one of the eight floating knives that he had sent out. "
Another surprise attack, huh?" He said as he looked over the spider and saw what it was. "
Looks like it could have been some sort of summon or something. Maybe this explodes too..?" He questioned himself and used one of his floating knives to poke at the now dead spider.
"
I wonder.. Is someone watching me? These guys did not have the type of ability to attack me with explosions out of thin air like I was hit by but it doesn't look like anyone else is here." He thought to himself as he looked around the area. He then moved towards one of the fallen men and picked him up into the air by his clothing. "
Yo." He spoke out and then took his free hand and tapped the man's cheek multiple times to try and wake him up. The man woke up in a daze. "
Wh... Wha... Huh..?" The man managed to speak out as Cirven waved his hand to show him that he was holding the man up. One of the devil's knives floated up to him and he pointed at it. "
You see this knife? If you don't answer my questions I will use it and the others I have on you and your friends." After he spoke his other knives moved towards the other two unconscious men. The man's eyes widened and as his face formed into one of horror. "
Who sent you and why did you attack me?" The man tried to answer as quickly as possible. "
I..We.. Errm.. We were sent by Lankin! He has forced us to work for him or he will kill us! We were sent to deal with any threats and you were labeled one! Said something about seeing a new face in town who went into the Miner's Guild and wanted to eliminate them! We were forced to do this! We had no choice at all! You have to believe me!" Cirven sighed at how much the man was yelling and how scatterbrained he sounded speaking. He looked into the fearful man's eyes and lowered him to the ground. "
I swear if you-" The devil's speech was cut short as each man had a sudden explosion erupt around them including Cirven causing the men to each be scorched and sent flying into the air and across the ground hitting different objects placed around the area. Cirven hit a building from the attack and was flopped onto the ground off of it where he pushed himself back up from it where he saw the man he had just spoke to and each man he had attacked earlier being bombarded by explosions over and over. By the time the devil made it to his feet there was nothing he could do but watch as each man was killed by a invisible attacker.
Multiple Rune Knights came onto the scene just in time to witness the attacks ending and see Cirven pulling himself up from the ground using the wall next to him. "
Sir, are you okay!?" One of the Rune Knights called out to Cirven and moved towards him to help him. "
Never been better. See?" Cirven pointed to where the injuries he had were as they were being healed. The Rune Knight looked at him confused and not exactly knowing what to do next with him as the others rushed to the other men who were being attacked. "
Got yourself into trouble again, Cirv?" A familiar voice spoke out to the devil from a younger man dressed in a similar fashion to the other Rune Knights but with a certain medal on the left side of his chest. "
You know how it is, Laz. It is my nature to be in these situations with being in a guild and all." The younger man smiled and helped Cirven up. "
You know, last time I saw you, you could not heal like that." Laz spoke out as he helped him up. "
I also wasn't the CEO of a trading company that tries to help the world." Both men grinned at each other. "
One second. Got do relay some information." Cirven spoke to his friend and turned away from him while placing a few of his fingers on his ear. "
Rui, I might be held up a bit. I think Lankin was a bit closer than we thought and found me. I was attacked by some men but I'm fine. Go on without me and try to figure out what is going on in that mine. I will be there as soon as I can be." He spoke through the telepathic link placed between him and Ruvel before turning to his friend again to talk.
Behind one of the nearby buildings stood a shadowy man who snickered at the scene unfolding nearby and then moved off towards the mines.
- OOC:
Leaving it up to you guys on what happens next and rolling you enemies but Lankin was rolled and is heading back to the mines. I'm thinking he'd know secret passages and stuff to get around faster in them that you won't know so this makes sense and all.
