Job Title: The Sickness
Rank: D
Player Requirements: 500 Word Requirement. Must have finished first.
Job Requirements: Slay all infected animals with as little damage to the village as possible
Job Location: Beanstalk Village
Job Description: No matter where you are in Fiore, you are suddenly approached by the herbalist who runs to you in a panicked mode. She begs you to return to her village and save the people in it. She doesn’t make sense until you calm her down enough to hear that something happened to the animals and they are attacking the villagers. She believes it’s a result of the weeds. Upon reaching the village, you see multiple animals, all of them with some sort of purple growth on them like algae, with glowing mushrooms popping out in different areas. Once the animals are killed, a bear will emerge, being the boss.
In conclusion, it's quite clear that the purple mass on the animals that has seemingly driven them insane and carnivorous, is somehow linked to the purple plants, however you don't know how yet.

After Johann had handed over the masked and cloaked person to the local authorities to deal with he and Rose headed back inside to discuss the matter further. He barely listened to Rose however, who started her explanation anew as they had been interrupted before, and was playing with the coin he had taken off the figure. He was lost in his own thoughts. Why would a cloaked person eavesdrop on them like that, and what kind of connection did this matter have to the mysterious plants that kept sprouting up everywhere. There was certainly no way to find out now. The person would have to talk or they'd have to investigate further, and since Johann was sure that the masked individual probably wouldn't prove to be too cooperative Rose and him decided to study the plants some more. Johann had agreed to get more samples the next day and Rose had agreed to allow Johann to live in the small guest room for a while longer. After they had finished their discussion about the plants and the events that had taken place today, they decided to move all further plant-related things to the next day and Rose offered to cook for Johann.
"Uh, I- I'm not really too good of a cook, b-but I'll try my best !" , and while she said that, she tried preparing scrambled eggs, but despite her best efforts she managed to burn them. It was self-evident that Rose was not a good cook, but her clumsy approach had it's very own charm. Johann laughed "Please, let me do the cooking while you make us some of that delicious mint tea". That however left Johann wondering. "Didn't you make scrambled eggs for breakfast today, miss Rose ?", he recalled the breakfast. "U-Uh, that, I bought it from the S-Store, actually" she admitted with a slightly ashamed tone in her voice and blushed. Johann found it amusing. He had learned how to cook when he had to survive on the streets and after that on his own with barely anything, but he gradually improved after he could afford more and more. He even held a job for a short time as a cook at a small fast food restaurant. He thought about that while preparing the food and once he had finished he arranged it on two plates, added salt and a few slices of bread. It would make a decent meal, nothing of immense extravagance, but it would suffice. They ate, drank tea and had a friendly chat for a while. After some time, it had gotten rather late, Johann excused himself to find some rest.
He woke up the next morning to loud noise and screams, so he quickly put on his clothes and equipment and rushed out to find the villagers in disarray and terror. He spotted the cause for their distress a couple of seconds later: a few pigs seemed to be running amok, attacking everyone they could randomly. It also seemed they had weird purple outgrowth and shroom all over them. It was plausible to assume that the animals had consumed the purple plants and that this had somehow driven them mad. There was no choice but to put them down, so Johann drew his rapier. He raised one hand and his spell "LULLABY OF THE WIND" took effect, sending the animals to sleep. He moved over and took them out, making sure they wouldn't wake up.
