MAKE YOUR TRUE CRYSTALS RADIATE.

"Desirée, I'm so proud of you! You got first at the music competition tonight!" Kiwi exclaimed, as he bobbed around his commander's head in joy. "It is such an honor to have been able to showcase my musical talent on that special stage, I think I gained some new fans tonight." Desirée said in a response, as she crossed the street of the town in which they were in. They were in Oak Town, a small town in which had a special competition that night to showcase musical talents. Desirée decided to participate in this event, considering she was an idol and mage which possessed a beautiful vocal range and could hit all the notes. It was now nighttime, a time in which made Desirée feel on edge as well as peaceful. The winds blew a fresh and calm breeze during this time of the night, but with that also came darkness. Desirée was always afraid of darkness, however Kiwi functioned as a glowing lamp to slightly light up the area in which they were in.

Desirée was in a slightly casual dress of sorts, which consisted of a plaid pattern from the waist up and an opaque beige-esque feel from the waist to the thighs. Her ribbons and scrunchies were her beautiful accessories, making her look as innocent as she was cute. That being said, her tattoos upon her bicep and wrists could show, one of three being her Black Rose guild mark. However, she did not mind, considering it asserted her power and status as a legal mage. As her and her companion walked down the quiet streets, Desirée could tell that something was a bit 'off' in the area, so she decided to remove her hoop of crystals from her bag and place them interlocking her fingers. Immediately, a man crawled out of the alleyways and seemed to be beginning for help, but was soon met with another voice telling him that he would not survive.

Desirée was alarmed by this, so she decided to slowly walk towards the scene in which the man was trying to escape from. "Stay calm, I will keep you safe." she whispered to the man, as her fingers clasped an iridescent stone and raised into the air. She was standing behind a wall in which would not be seen from the alley-way, therefore the voice would not be able to see Desirée. "From Chrysalis, I summon thee: Opal!" she exclaimed in a whisper, as a mass of iridescent light flowed across the sky above the man in the form of a magic circle. A winged being dropped from this mass, and these wings began to glow in a means of protecting this man who was deemed as the victim. The Crystal, Opal, was faced toward the man in a means of covering his body, forming her wings to be a shield and to radiate light. This would hopefully cause any upcoming attacks to be shielded, but who knows what the person in the alley was capable of. As for now, the summon would be exposed to this man, but Desirée and her pet which would now be hiding inside her soul would be hiding behind a large garbage-can in the outskirts of the area. They would be watching through a crack, hoping to get a glimpse of who this person truly was.

"He... He looks like a dragon.." Kiwi said inside Desirée's soul, as the man slowly walked out of the dimly lit alleyway. He looked to be a very angry individual, accompanied by red marks spanning across his lean and muscular chest with a guild mark. "That... that guild mark!" Desirée teared up as her mind screamed at the sight, as she knew exactly what guild that was from her research upon guilds before joining Black Rose. It was different than that of Black Rose, Golden Phoenix, Lamia Scale, Infinity Hydra, and Sabertooth; the mark came from Basilisk Fang. Desirée had never met a dark mage except those that were on the opposing sides of battles on jobs, but they all had leaned to the darker side of a guild-less spectrum. She was aware that mages in guilds tended to be stronger than those that fought for smaller and darker causes themselves, such as the cherry blossom mages she had fought in Rose Garden, and was struck with intense fear at the sight of this man due to the magical power that he could possess.

Out of nowhere portals opened up between the man and the angelic summon, causing a golden chain to blast out at great speeds. "No!" Desirée screamed, revealing her placement in this area, as it burst the back of Opal's wings which radiated iridescent light. This caused the light to shatter, resulting in a wallow of pain to emit from Opal's mouth before she shot into the skies and above the grouping in a means to not be attacked by the chain in her vulnerable stage. "Don't hurt him!" Desirée screamed at the man, as she hopped out from behind the garbage cans with her golden hoop clasped between her hands. Tears could be seen beginning to leak down her face in fright, considering she had never faced this type of mage before. Opal descended and landed near Desirée in a means to accompany her in defending this defenseless non-mage, causing the area to light up in a dim fashion around her. It had also seemed as if Kiwi had hopped out of her soul, considering he was levitating in-between the Crystal and his master. This combination of two lights caused Desirée's complexion to completely glow, showcasing her body in a means that would let the dark mage see every feature of hers. This would either be good or bad, considering he could realize that she was a fellow mage that belonged to Black Rose due to her guild mark on her wrist. However, she also feared that he may hold an ill-will toward that legal guild.

MAKE YOUR TRUE CRYSTALS RADIATE.

"Killing is not the answer to solving your issues with others, it's just cruel!" she screamed in tears, as the chained weapon seemed to have shot out of another portal and into the man's back twice, causing him to moan in pain before taking his last breath and causing a lifeless corpse to lay where he was living previously. This shocked Desirée, causing her tears to flow even more due to fear and the anxiety that came when you face your fears. "You... you killed him.." she said while crying, as her angelic being knelt near the man in order to analyze his body. "Stab wounds, he met his breaking point before it pierced his lungs and vital organs, causing him to die nearly instantly." she told Desirée in a calm manor, as death did not typically phase the Crystals from Chrysalis. After all, they were incapable of dying, but were able to feel pain and only had so much before they were shattered and brought back to Chrysalis by force.

"What... what is going on?!" Desirée screamed, as the entire area seemed to be developed in darkness as if her eyes were closed in the darkest of rooms. Being another one of Desirée's fears, this made her feel extremely uneasy in the form of weeping. "Desirée, I can't see you!" Kiwi screamed, as she had noticed that her glowing vision of Kiwi had completely vanished in the smog that was this darkness. She could only feel the presence of Opal, which was soon interrupted by the sound of chains shooting across the battlefield towards the angelic being. "Desirée!!" Opal screamed, as her voice slowly was pulled away from the group and into the darkness.

"Ah!" Opal screamed a total of three times, each getting quieter and quieter as she reached the point of her shattering. Each time the bladed part of the weapon dug into her stomach iridescent triangles of light poured out, which could be faintly seen from Desirée's location. Once these three open wounds were caused, she finally screamed in agony louder than she had ever heard a summon scream before, causing her body to erupt into millions of tiny sparkling fragments of light. "You... you shattered her! You... How?!" Desirée screamed, as she felt around to try and connect her fingers with Kiwi's grip. Finally she found Kiwi's location, and he jumped into her soul for safety. This caused her body to glow a slight green, signalling that he was safe and sound inside her body. This feeling of terror was almost equally matched to when her entire guild was slaughtered in the past, in which she had to fight for her life in order to escape the flaming building that was her guild hall. She felt fear, agony, and tears rolled down her face as she cradled up into a ball on the floor while gripping her hoop with all of her might. She was scared, and did not know what to do next. The only thing that was comforting her was Kiwi hugging her from the inside, but she was still in absolute shock.

As Desirée lay crying on the floor as the darkness seemed to be pounding around her, strange shadows could be seen approaching her from the chasm that was around her. Out of the smog came a pack of wolves which looked to be made of darkness themselves, which was a horrific sight for Desirée. They seemed to be controlled by the dark mage, and they seemed to snap at her with large fangs but missed just to scare her even more. "Get away from me! I want to go home!" she screamed in fear, as she could feel the presence of the mage as well as the wolves circling around her. He said his name, which further indicated that he was in fact a dark mage of Basilisk Fang. "Inhuman...?" she thought to herself, as one of the wolves' fangs snapped right in-front of her face before she flinched back and slowly picked herself up from the ball she was in.

"You... you can hurt me all you want, but you will not lay a finger on Kiwi!" she screamed in anger, as he threatened her pride and joy. Kiwi was her everything, and would cause her demise if he were ever to get severely injured or even worse. She could feel a nudge inside her soul, which was him notifying her of his love. "I am Desirée Blooms of Black Rose, an idol of Fiore and a summoner of Chrysalis! You have picked the wrong fight!" she screamed in terror and anger, as she rose her golden hoop in the air. "From Chrysalis, I summon thee: Citrine!" she screamed, as a mix of orange and purple light rained from above. This was one of Desirée's new contracts, so she did not know what would occur in this situation. A being in black and orange robes flooded out the mass of light, holding a scroll with her purple and orange hair flowing in the air. The Crystal had immediately noticed the wolves circling due to the radiance of her energy, which resulted in her swinging her scroll in-front of her onto the wolves. This would cause a giant mass of water along with lotus flowers and lights to blast onto the wolves, which would most likely do enough damage to dispel the wolves and clear them from the arena while also causing the smog to slightly clear due to the swirling lights in the water.

MAKE YOUR TRUE CRYSTALS RADIATE.

"You absolutely disgust me, horrific man." Citrine exclaimed, as she launched the water toward the enemies. The wolves seemed to be dispelled, which was something that made Desirée feel much more at ease. However, her ease was soon met by a pillar of shadows which shot them into the air. "Gah~!" Desirée screamed in agony, as it flipped her into the air and caused her to flow throughout it. Citrine was experiencing this same issue, as they were both plummeting down toward the earth at a great speed. "Wha... What can I do..." she thought to herself, as she could feel the presence of Sol lurking through the smog. "Ah!" Citrine screamed, as the chains launched forward into her direction and pierced her heart, which was one of her more important vitals. The wound leaked pink flower petals, flowing into a neat stack on the ground.

After they had plummeted into the ground, they both seemed to be picked up by the force of Sol. Poison seemed to emit from his body, slamming both of them into their faces in a large mass of pain and suffering. Citrine let out a final scream before exploding into petals, signalling that her time was up in this realm. As for Desirée, she was knocked back onto the ground, quivering in pain. "He... help me.." she screamed to the best of her ability, as her head hit the ground due to the pain she was going through.

MAKE YOUR TRUE CRYSTALS RADIATE.

"Ple- Please sto- aah~!" Desirée screamed in pain, as he kicked her midsection and caused her to hit the concrete a few feet away from where she previously was on the ground cowering in fear. She saw wings sprout from his back and his eyes glow a ruby red, causing her to tremble even more in fear. "This... This doesn't have to happen... please..." she begged him to stop, as tears flowed down her eyes like endless waterfalls of sorrow and fear of what were to come next. She saw his sharp teeth approaching her, and it looked to be preparing for a bite of her smooth and clean idol flesh. "You... you won't kill me..." she told him, as her tears rolling down her eyes began to glow a white color with triangular gem-shaped fragments pouring down with them made of light. "What- What is happening?" she thought to herself, as he began to lower down on-top of her with his teeth pulsating, nearly to her flesh.

"Now channeling the essence of Calcite..." a voice rung through her head which sounded just like the summon's voice that she heard of, as her hands began to glow just as the Crystal's would. "Gah!" she screamed, as the wall that Calcite would be able to conjure pushed out of her hands, separating her and Sol from each-other with a barrier of light and then pushing him backwards, causing her to be able to make an easy escape. This barrier made a wall of light, which he could possibly be able to break through if he tried hard enough. However, this would be able to give them a head-start. "Shit... Kiwi, we gotta go! Now is our chance!" she exclaimed, as Kiwi shot out of her body. "Lets!" he screamed, as they began to sprint down the streets of Oak Town, not looking back at where they once were as her hoop jingled in her hands in case she would have to summon another Crystal.

"But... how did I just do that?" she thought to herself, as her feet could be heard hitting the ground in a sprint. She was still crying, but mostly in joy, considering she most likely escaped death. However, she was also crying because he was still there and most likely angry, considering he just missed a meal. She was running straight toward the train station, which hopefully was not as far a run as she thought it would be.

MAKE YOUR TRUE CRYSTALS RADIATE.

As Desirée and Kiwi began to sprint through the train-station, it had seemed as though shadows were following them including Sol himself in a chase of life and death. "Terminal C, this is the one!" she exclaimed, as she made a sharp turn and the train began to blow steam, signalling that it was about to take-off. "Shit!" she screamed, as she could feel a lunge from behind her where the back of her skirt was ripped. "Just... a few... more steps!" she screamed, as she made it to the front of the train and hopped into it as the doors slammed shut. As she turned, she noticed Kiwi was safe and planted in her arms, and Sol was separated by the metal that was the train.

"Kiwi, we did it!" she exclaimed, as her tattered body walked to an empty seat toward the back of the train and eventually sprawled across the seats. The train was fairly empty, but with a few other younger mages taking the train at night. "Huh?" she thought to herself, as a piece of paper slipped out of her sleeve which was crumpled. The train was zooming away from Oak Town by now, and its next stop was Rose Garden. As she opened the paper which was crumpled, she gasped at the sight of what it read. "SLEEP TIGHT." was sprawled across the paper in blood, and it appeared to be fresh. "I... I..." she began to say, as tears poured down her face once again as she looked out the window of the train. It was tranquil outside, and the dragon was nowhere in sight.

For many nights to come, Desirée would never be seen sleeping in the privacy of her room with the lights off; for her house was now known as 'The Lighthouse of Rose Garden,' by the Rose Garden locals. Her dreams consisted of reoccuring nightmares of this dragon... she wished to never encounter him again.
