Oras had recently finished a job with the reward of a few jewels and a new species of plant he intended to study. The plant itself was deep purple with three large leaves and seemed to harm any who touched it using bare skin. Oras of course didn't touch it at all, but rather used his illusion to pull it from the ground and place it in his bag. He was traveling from the village and was now growing weary of the journey. He needed to find a place to rest for the night, somewhere he could lock the door and do some research on the plant in solitude. The main reason he was planning to investigate and study the plant was because he disliked knowing nothing about any object or person that was new to him. Could it be used against him? Was it harmful in more ways than one? Did it have magical properties? Did it have properties that could be used in potion making?
At any rate his travels let him to Oak town. The town as most settlements did, had an inn. Oras followed the signs and signals, making his way toward the inn. As always he would be taking his food upstairs with him so that no one would see who he was underneath the mask. He didn't trust anyone no matter who they were. Individuals could gain his trust over time of course, but the chances of this were not that likely. Cheap words, smooth talk, kind gestures, could easily be a false approach in order to gain one's favor rather than be actually genuine. There were ways to tell of course, but even if they were honest, kind and gentle, he wasn't sure if he could trust their skills or reasoning.
He soon reached the Inn and stopped outside the door. There was a rather large crowd outside the inn, which meant that the doors were closed. He listened in on conversations from a distance and heard that the inn was hosting an event of some sorts. He scanned the crowd for someone who seemed to work for the inn and approached them, tapping their shoulder for their attention. "Will the rooms be available during this event?" The worker nodded but before she could explain he turned and walked away, leaning against a building across the street as he waited for the crowd to enter and disperse.
