This Is Normal? [Job | Bass]

Job:

The sun was shining, and the birds were singing! Another beautiful day in this strange world Narumi still seemed to be a stranger in. Even though she had been here for quite some time, many of this world's regular customs and practices still seemed fairly strange to her. She had no idea how she could easily adopt all these strange and foreign trends, but if her desire to fit in was to be met, she had to go along. And that's exactly what she was doing today! Awaiting her friend she had met only a few days prior after a close encounter. Apparently there was some sort of task that Narumi and her newly met companion Bass were asked to participate in. Something to do with being 'models' or something like that. Narumi had no idea what that meant at all, but was confident she and her new friend could conquer it no problem! So she waited against a tree for the robot lady to show, and they could get started.

Bass wasn't the type for showy entrances or at least not on purpose. However, in this case she apparently didn't think it through because she came falling from the sky and landed with a heavy thud in a crouch. She'd been listening to some music as she went, a song she'd got into recently called Lightning Struck by DC AC. However, she'd been listening to this music out loud and had timed it to such an extent that she hit the ground as the song screamed out the words 'Lightning Struck'. She rose to her feet dusting herself off and the music stopped playing.

"Greetings Narumi. I apology for the overly flashy entrance." she said though her tone was almost monotonous and devoid of much emotion. "I was thinking on the definition of the word 'model' that I found out and it...distracted me." She knew that much like herself Narumi was not familiar with this world and its culture and such. As such she had researched modelling and the concept puzzled and worried her to some extent. "It tends to involve wearing clothes for photographs or...not wearing clothes and having pictures taken of you."

The odd thing there was that she never really wore clothes. She was a machine and her body shifted freely as she needed it to. There was no need for her to. She didn't have any genitals or anything of that nature to cover up. So why would someone think her suitable for this job? Narumi she could understand because, based on her research, she was a very attractive young female. A rather confusing situation. It bugged her. It was a mystery she didn't know the answer to. Hopefully, the mission would allow her to find out more and solve that mystery. It certainly differed from the usual tasks she was hired for.

Narumi had almost fallen asleep as her ears lowered and her eyes sank below the afternoon sun in sweet peaceful silence. However, that was completely shattered when the faint sound of something out of place hit the Kitsune's ears. Her ears would pick up on the sound long before her brain did. They flicked in the direction of the odd noise. It wasn't till the noise was within earshot of a regular human's hearing that she registered it. Her golden gaze shot open suddenly with confusinon until she knew the direction of the odd sound. Staring up, there she was in a flash of light followed by lound, and rather strange music. She crashed in the clearing right in front of Narumi! As the dust settled, Narumi coughed and waved it out of her face before smiling widely at Bass as she revealed herself.

"Ohoho! What an arrival! Why don't you do that more often?" She asked with an excited tone, completely ignoring Bass's apparent thoughts about her being distraught about the arrival of her friend. "C- Come! Quickly! The other woman went this way, I would've followed but I wanted to wait for you." She said smiling, motioning towards a forest path before quickly turning tail and walking down it. Her long fox tail lifted high behind her. Only a few minutes later the two had arrived at a forest meadow that was quite populated. Strange, Narumi had never experienced a populace like this before within such an isolated spot. Not in this world. She thought the people of this realm preferred to stick to the more industrial areas. Nonetheless, here they were. Multiple tents and stages had been set up in the wooded clearing, and many attractive woman gathered on them, posing and smiling for photos as eager photo takers were obliged to give them what they wanted. Of course, Narumi still had no idea what this business was involved in, so she looked around for someone to act as a guide.

Bass considered the question as the two of them walked through the area. It seemed that Narumi had found the entrance to be a good one rather than a poor one. Perhaps it could be useful to think up some other entrances for certain situations. A new topic for research. A faint smile came to Bass' lips but faded soon after. Bass quickly followed Narumi down the path. It wasn't like Narumi wouldn't stand out. She was fairly easy to notice in a crowd. Kitsune weren't common after all. Sure, Bass stood out more because how often do you see black metallic women with rabbit ears and gold markings, but a Kitsune was pretty rare.

"A strange location these lifeforms have picked. There is no defensive capability here unless some can manipulate the plants via magic." Bass commented as they walked. "However, for agriculture, hunting and the like it is probably more ideal. From my research the only place better would be near an extinct volcano on the seashore. Still, a group of skilled fighters could easily wipe this place out, especially when the only real shelter are tents."

After a while it became apparent that Narumi and herself were a little lost so without hesitation Bass walked over to someone and explained the situation. The man seemed a little confused perhaps for the same reason's Bass was, but he gave directions and Bass quickly took the lead leading Narumi towards the location of the modelling job, where the woman she had mentioned was waiting and looking a little impatient. "Apologies miss for our tardiness. We got a little lost in your...town."

Narumi continued to admire the setting, a small smile of satisfaction on her face as the sun shone down on this beautiful meadow. Her hands were in her pockets as Bass and the fox would walk around, until finally they arrived at their location. Apparently Bass knew more about it then she did! They'd enter a slightly larger, and more colorful than the others. As they stepped in, Narumi would notice a woman sitting behind a rather large desk, mulling over some papers as various men would be brushing her hair and powdering her face. Narumi had no idea what they were doing to her, but she didn't even seem to notice them. Not until Bass spoke up anyways. She'd look up from her papers and stare at the two before breaking into a smile. She'd get up and walk around her desk towards the two.

"Darlings! You made it! I'm so glad you agreed to take this gig, we could really use a few.. Exotic samples." She said through a grin. At this, Naru simply raised an eyebrow and silently looked towards Bass seeing if she had any idea what this woman was talking about. However, before anyone could say anything else, the woman clapped her hands and multiple men Narumi hadn't even noticed had been in the tent (if they ever were) rushed over to them and quickly pulled out measuring tape. "Now then! Your shoot is only minutes away! You must get prepared. We need to find you two girls something to wear!" Narumi was taken off a bit by the sudden intrusion of her personal space made by these men as they quickly measured every part of her body. Forcefully moving her arms upwards to measure them, doing the same to Bass. The woman would turn around and pick up a paper on her desk and face them once again smiling. "You two are going to be the center piece of my next album!" She said excitedly. "The Foreign Beauties!" The woman lifted her hand, envisioning it while Narumi just stood there awkwardly with a confused expression. Looking back down at them she'd rush over to Bass. "You!
A mysterious blackened being from lands unknown, your shadowy past and long ears make you perfect for this! Not to mention, your body is banging!" She said smirking before turning to the fox. "And you! An Exotic kitsune with those seductive eyes and... Large assets." She said, biting her lip as Narumi finally figured out what she was referring too and flushed red a little. "Now then! Let's hop too it! Marcus will show you to your outfits and photo spots!" She said turning to her desk and snapping her fingers as a man quickly ran up to them bowing his head and holding up rather.. revealing outfits for both of them...

The measuring process did not bother Bass at all. She was not human or organic in the normal sense so being touched by people of either gender didn't embarrass her or turn her on. It was just part of the job. "If my measurements aren't suitable I am able to adjust them as needed though it will take some time." This was true as with her nanites she could reconstruct her body as needed. However, this was the form she was most comfortable in and so it was the one she stayed in normally. Eventually, the measurements were done and she and Narumi were both presented with clothes which based on Bass' scans would fit them perfectly. The issue being, for Narumi at least, that they didn't really cover that much. For Bass it was no issue and she quickly got into the outfit and looked at herself in a mirror.

They had chosen red as the colour which offset the black and yellow quite nicely and made quite an aesthetic look. Perhaps there was something to this clothing after all, but she wasn't going to wear something like this because if she did people would likely mistake her for a machine of a different nature. Money was money, but that as a profession had never interested her and she'd have to do a lot of study to manipulate her body in a way suitable for the sexual satisfaction of someone. However, as a one off this was fine.

"It will be a strange lifeform that is stimulated by myself." Bass said offhandedly. "After all, they can't get no satisfaction." She glanced over at Narumi. "I would imagine when this 'Foreign Beauties' album is released Narumi will be much more popular than I, but that is just my prediction based on my knowledge of organic life."

After a few awkward minutes, Narumi managed to fit herself into the odd outfit she had been presented with. It was nothing like she had been forced to wear in this world before. It had taken her quite a significant amount of time just to get used to the clothes she usually wore now. She had been confused as to what people viewed as normal in this world. At one instance, it was considered vulgar and abnormal to not wear anything, so she was forced to put on her black sweater, tights, and boots to fit in. Now, however? She had barely anything covering her. She had been given a black bikini to wear. Of course it didn't really bother her as much as it would a normal person. She was only confused because she could not understand the motives behind these strange creatures. They appeared to be rather indecisive.

The shoot appeared to go rather well. All Narumi had to do was pose for the pictures, and follow instructions. It was actually kind of fun, she felt she enjoyed a lot more then she initially would've thought. Afterwards she'd smile at Bass. "That was fun! We should do another one of those again sometime."

"It does seem a rather easy way to make money." Bass responded as she removed the outfit and returned it. "Not overly fun like some people have described it, but not necessarily a bad way to spend time." In truth Bass hadn't really enjoyed the modelling and whilst she saw why people found Narumi physically attractive she did not see what appeal she could have to organics. She had however enjoyed spending time with Narumi. Initially she hadn't seen her as a friend and merely an acquaintance or at best a colleague. However, the process had strengthened their bond slightly and she now considered Narumi a friend. It had been a bit of a laugh some of the ridiculous poses they'd got the pair to get into, especially the group shots.

After receiving their funding and being told when the album would be released and having a copy being promised to be sent to them the two would head off together discussing the job and its oddities.
