And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain

With the metallic clunk of a scythe, the beast was down. The lion composed entirely of fluttering red petals and harsh winds fell onto its side, completely motionless upon the ground, one giant gash on its side. For a few seconds it laid there, not so much in pain as in just plain shock, but really it was hard to tell since the creature held no facial features. After a moments rest to gather itself it tried to raise itself to its paws, but just as it firmly got one paw on the solid ground the giant blue blade of a scythe pieced down into the body, straight through to the other side, bringing it back down how it was before. In less than a few seconds afterwards the once beautiful red petals decorating its body began to fade to a rotten black, and the winds ceased, causing the petals to fall and disintegrate into nothingness.
Astrid pulled upon the handle of the scythe to dislodge it from the ground, swinging it back over her shoulders while tired yellow eyes hidden behind thickly framed glasses gazed upon where the sin had once laid.
This hadn't been exactly what the blonde was hoping to do this afternoon. The only reason she had come here in the first place was because the magic council had a mission for her. But on the way to Era she had come across a few roaming sins, and she couldn't exactly just let them run around wold and attack people. it was a strange place for sins... Usually the dragon slayer only saw them in places where there were lots of people. Never before in a desolate farm land like here... Something was going on around here. Where there were sins, there were sinners in need of purification.
Her amber gaze lifted from the ground, staring over the almost empty green land. Sinners out here? But the only people around these parts were friendly old farmers. She could hardly believe people like them could produce such fierce sins.
prehaps she could go look around...
Seemingly having forgotten her promise to the magic council Astrid began to wonder around the grassy farm land, flickering her invisibility on and off to avoid troubling the people around here will working the fields. It would probably give them a heart attack if they saw a small teenage girl carrying around a gigantic scythe after all.

Animal's that happened to naturally be predators fell into several categories based on how they hunted in order to feed themselves. Due to not belonging to any pack of other dragon's, Itova classified as a solo migratory hunter, always moving around earth-land in search of some location with something she could easily take down on her own. Normally one of her species would not diet wise have a high quality life on their own due to an inability to procure enough food, but considering she also was proficient at magic she could also occasionally take jobs to earn money to buy food when times got difficult. Even with this fact, Maslvire preferred consuming something she freshly killed herself over something she bought already deceased. Almost nothing compared to the thrill of the hunt, proving she was more worthy of life than her prey!

Right now she was flying over the forest's of Era, high enough to avoid being seen by common citizens considering it was hard to miss something sixteen foot long with twenty foot wing span when it was flying low. Sweeping over the woods visually she spotted some signs of large prey below, partly concentrated towards a farmland and banked towards the far side of the woods. If she tried to land near some farmers field or live stock? They would likely shoot at her, humans were too stupid to tell when someone was coming for a landing or trying to snatch up their cattle. Thus she chose to land far away from the farmland, knowing she had the stamina to make her way back towards where it appeared her prey may be.

After about an hour she had casually walked back towards where she had seen signs of something she could kill, trying her best to stay deep in the woods as she could. Often times? Working farm hands kept nearby weapons for things like wolves and such, but those same guns would still work on her, she was a dragon not invincible and her kind had slightly thinner flesh than some other dragon species. "Damn it all, they definitely went that way, hopefully one of them is young enough for me." she now realized she was stalking dire boars, beasts normally hunted in packs since they could easily cause extensive damage to one of her kind when full grown. She also had the issue of getting past a clearing without the farmers seeing her!

When Mal tried to cross the clearing, she mistimed her run and someone shouted 'dragon' a gun going off the bullet narrowly missing her as she ran back into the forest, snapping branches and twigs on the forest floor as she fled. As luck would have it? This inopportune time was when she finally found her prey, skidding to a halt and rising her feather crest, fluffing up and lifting her wings to appear larger than she was as the dragoness was suddenly confronted by the mother boar and all of her children. Sadly there seemed to be no way she was getting out of this without some injury unless she could get to a clearing and take off into the sky to escape them, however the closest clearing was back towards guns.

And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain

Dragons were not a common sight to behold these days, though unlike what so many think they were hardly extinct either. Rather since the old days when they were hunted down dragons had grown smart enough to hide themselves away from humans. In fact Astrid herself would have also believed they were extinct also had it not been for meeting Sirius, the elder white dragon a couple of months ago. The there was also Nephthys... But the blonde didn't think she could really count due to her being her spirit guardian and not an actual living being...
Nonetheless when you hear someone suddenly shout 'dragon' out of nowhere it was a bit of a surprise, especially when the only dragon she had ever really met had camped himself on an entirely different planet. Little to say, dragons who were spotted on Earthland were usually fake, some sort of scam people used to get a quick second of fame. And if this was during any other time, Astrid would have probably ignored it. But being sensitive to soul energies and the way they felt, Astrid couldn't help but notice there was one approaching that resembled her mentor frighteningly close.

Having heard the shout and feeling this strange presence as she was crossing over a small cabbage patch the slayer gazed up towards the sky, following the sound of the bullet. She stopped in her tracks, whipping around to the source of the sound, only to see a white blur enter into the woods. Alright... There was defiantly something going around in this quiet farmland, and as always Astrid's curiosity was getting the better of her.
Dying to go check out this strange sight the slayer was quick to change her course. She started sprinting towards the dense forest, spotting the rather large hole of broken branches and twigs where the white creature had run off into. Along the way she passed by the individual who shot at it, briefly hearing him mumble about how weird creature have been appearing here lately due to the increase boar population.
So dragons did need food after all... That was strange, the only food Sirius ever needed was light. Perhaps this was a different kind of dragon with a particular diet. It was already strange enough to see a dragon in Earthland to begin with, but now this was a different type of dragon altogether. It was like this situation was begging for her to search into it. And lucky, it had done just that.
Figuring maybe the dragon had something to do with the sin population around here the dragon slayer slowed down upon entering the forest in order to search for it. Not that it would be hard, seeing as how it left a bunch of dead trees in its wake. All she simply needed to do was follow it. She trekked through this path only but for a minute or two before finally reaching the fabled creature, lifting the final branch from her vision before she gazed upon the beast in wonder. Its white scales resembled Sirius', but other than that this one looked completely different, sporting some kind of feathers too. Dragons with feathers... What a peculiar design.
But her attention was quickly snatched away by a large snort. The slayer noticed in front of the dragon stood a mother boar and her children. The two seemed to be in some sort of standoff, with the boar digging its hooves into the ground and the dragon ruffling its feather up to appear bigger. But it would turn into much more than just a standoff, when suddenly the mother boar would begin to charge towards the dragon in a fit of blind rage.
Not wanting to see either creatures get hurt Astrid quickly rose a silver glowing hand out.
"White dragon's halo!" A silver circle would appear over the other boar mid-run before it fazed through its body towards its legs before constricting them. The boar tripped and fell over onto its face, squealing and struggling to escape before skidding to a halt upon its back.
"Monsieur dragon you must be more careful" the wizard saint warned with a soft smile, revealing herself from the sidelines of the standoff. Both her hands intertwined themselves behind her back, looking up to the dragon before stopping just a couple feet away from it. "Dragons are not so common around Earthland, not like they used to be. The animals around here are probably a bit intimidated, given your size."

Dragon's were not at all common, and thanks to Itova herself the species she belonged to was now an even scarcer sight. However, she tried her best to forget or at least not actively think about what the magic she carried inside her had caused. At the moment she even avoided largely using her abilities as she wondered how to make them into more beneficial to those around her. Malsvire was a loner right now, but honestly, she didn't want to be that way forever, she just couldn't take the chance before she could do something besides fight. Yet, right now all she did was fight, when she was confronted by the boars she wanted to kill them, and when the humans shot at her she only ran because she knew that she couldn't win the fight in an open field. If they had followed her? She could take them in the woods.

"They're intimidated because they know I'm a carnivore." it was her rebuttal, but she didn't go for the downed boar because stealing kills wasn't commonly her way. Though it was a mistake to turn her attention to the woman who had appeared. Itova was more concerned with the Dragon Slayer who she refused to think meant no harm to pay attention to her original targets. The opening? Was enough for the pair to run at her, digging their tusks into her long leg, causing her to roar out. In her pain she quickly clamped her jaws around the neck of one and tossed it across the clearing, her wing's flapping as her other leg lifted, sickle claw slicing at the other boar. "Damn it!" she tried to place her foot on the ground, but it was clear the bone and muscle had been damaged beyond that.

She was trapped with a slayer in front of her, if she took off she would be unable to land properly thus sustain more injury. If she wanted to live? Clearly, she had no choice but to fly straight up through the tree canopy, yet since she was an adolescent the dragoness knew that she could not quite make the flight properly. Unlike her deceased parents? The broad tips of her wing's had not hardened enough to protect themselves from branches, push the canopy to force it to let her get above it. "Damn it!" she cursed again when she tried to break through and thick branches sent her back to the ground violently. Crimson optics looked towards Astrid, the injured dragoness backing herself against the tree's, hissing low and fluffing her wings.

Were the farmers with their guns right behind this girl?! She just wanted to get some food, now she was going to be killed by someone who wielded the same magic as her, see this was why dragon slayer's shouldn't exist!

Astrid didn't need to use her slayer senses in order to know the dragon was unnerved by her presence. Even after the overgrown lizard had dealt with the remaining boars she tried her quickest to remove herself from the scene in a frenzy of falling tree branches and curses. The scent of fear and anger was brought to her attention, and with the boars gone, the slayer could only assume it was her own presence there that was bringing the dragon so much discomfort.
Was she that scary, to the point where she was intimidating a dragon of all things? Dragons weren't really fearful of humans, usually they thought themselves as above them. Or maybe that was just Erika... As Sirius was one to think of himself as equal. Even so, to think she was bringing so much fear to a creature, that isn't what she wanted at all.
Oh my... Then maybe she would prefer her other body?
Normally at this point Astrid would have left to avoid any unwanted wounds. But if she did so now, she would be worrying about that leg injury the dragon had managed to gain from the boars. If not treated it could probably get infected. So instead of doing that, the blonde allowed a small white light to cover her body for a few moments before it faded, leaving her in the normal and more popular silver haired elf body.
The newly formed elf attempted to approach the dragon, slowly, with light footsteps and a calm expression.
"Uuma dela, Yaaraer" the elvish words were spoken so calmly and naturally from her lips, one might think she had actually grown up learning the ancient language. Normally, French would be her go to for a more calming language, as it had a certain tone to it that managed to being peace. But the elf figured such an old and well known language may bring more familiarity to a beast of legend.
"I promise i'm not here to hurt you."
She would stop just a little before the dragon, if Itova had not done anything before then. Though even if she kept hissing or even swiped at her, Astrid would most likely keep moving forward, not at all intimidated by the beast given with how familiar she was with them by now.
Shining purple optics looked gleefully up to her. "Lle ta'rr naa ikotane vanima. It'd be a shame if that scar went untreated, ma? What is a dragon without her beauty?" She would hold out her hand towards to reptile, and allow it to glow silver, letting off a powerful sense of healing aura. "Will you allow me to heal you?"
It was at best to ask, rather than just doing it. Otherwise she might end up loosing an arm. And while she wasn't exactly scared of the dragon, Astrid also wasn't in the mood for loosing an arm either.

Was this girl simply daft or something? Even after the girl faded into an elf, Itova was still none too eager about her as she resembled a human and the dragoness disliked them on all fronts. At the moment she still had the feathers on her body ruffled completely, teeth bore. After crashing back through the tree's? She didn't have the energy left to truly fight against this dragon slaying human piece of scrum. The female slowly scooted her body back, keeping her opened snarling jaws directed towards the girl, a slow cautious dance of trying to find some way to escape, but slowly having to accept this other entity was in power here since the blood still streamed down her leg.

Astrid came closer and Itova, and the Dragon remained clearly uncomfortable with the idea, having no reason to trust the girl. "You better keep as much distance as you can." she closed her mouth to the point her teeth touched but still made sure her fangs remained in sight, her sickled claw lifting as she slowly let her body lay flat on the ground. Astrid had the opening, but if she got too close for Itova's comfort it was still evident the female was prepared to attack her. Once those words were spoken and she lowered herself? She kept a hawk like gaze upon Astrid.

Unlike what she had thought, the Elvish language did not seem to calm the dragon down much if even at all. Which was a shame. She didn't get to use it much, since not many others knew of it. But that was to be expected when it was a language of a species who didn't mingle with other races. It was rare to come across someone else who spoke it, just like with French. But even so, despite being still a bit uncomfortable and unnerved, the dragoness lowered her body closer to the ground, an obvious way of telling the slayer she was given permission to heal the wound. The elf was a bit surprised, seeing as how the femme was so clearly still unsure of her. But she must have seen the truth in her words. Either that, or she realized her situation and knew there was no getting out of it. Either way, it was good to see the dragon give her the chance to make peace with it.
    The silvernette nodded and smiled.
"I promise this will be quick."
She approached the beast. Not too quickly, she was sure to keep her steps light and slow until she came just about a few inches away from the leg. She then lifted up a hand, and a pulsating silver light consumed it entirely. She hovered it over the flesh wound, but would not actually touch the skin at the female's request. It would feel warm, and sooth any sort of pain the dragoness was currently experiencing as the skin healed over, reforming as if the wound had never been there in the first place
    Her work was done.
The silver light flickered from her hand, and purple eyes studied her work. It was completely healed, like there hadn't even been anything there at all.
Astrid looked up to the dragon, her warm smile still curved upon her lips.
"Now that wasn't so bad, was it?"

Large optics looked at the ragged impaling wound on her long leg, watching as the elves glowing hand hovered over it. Seconds ticking by felt like hours as she painstakingly watched the wound slowly knit closed beneath the disgusting creatures hand, nervousness rising further within her pounding heart. What if this was some sort of trick? She had no choices and no where to go, but she still despised what was going on where most would be thankful for the help. Itova did not have positive experiences with humanoids and hated that they wielded magic so devastating to her kind, dragon slaying magic was a curse and they treated it like a blessing for the same reason its true existence was a curse! What was to like about the beasts, even when they were being kind there must be some selfish motive somewhere, right.

Pupils dilated as eyes blinked briefly opening wider than before, as if she was a predator ready to pounce, body leaning back. At one moment? It seemed Itova may really attack, but as the wind blew threw the clearing she tried once more kicking off with her large legs over astrids head to burst through the tree canopy. Having the extra strength of both legs being usable, did the trick and leaves fell in a flurry to the ground as her powerful wing beats faded off, a quick retreat from what she still perceived as danger. If one looked up? They would see the desperate wing beats as Itova look herself back up to blend in with the clouds and fly somewhere else. However, the slight glance back she gave would be rather hard to note.
