Lucie ♣ Rogue ♣ C Rank
Everything was still so new, as she moved out on her own, with a clearer vision of what the world was like when not seen through Ren’s twisted veil. Things were crystalline, and life could be observed from her own perspective, and not with the opinions and two cents of a malevolent spirit full of hatred. His hatred? That was something she had yet to really figure out. What did he hate so much, that he had forced her soul into that childlike body, while remaining with it to govern its actions and control it.
She was fairly weak; it made no sense. Granted, she had done some deeds that were worth noting, such as bringing a guild down to the status of ‘dark’, in the eyes of the governing council. It was all a joke, this society. Why did the guilds all bow to the dictatorship of a ruling body, mostly made up of humans? Could they just not govern themselves, and work towards their own goals? The council standing there to please was annoying in the eyes of Lucie, who they targeted, holding her guild’s status as ransom.
The title of “dark guild” meant that the Rune Knights, the army of the Magic Council, would hunt down the guild, who all saw themselves as a family. They would dare not relinquish one of their members just for the status of their guild. Even so, Ren screwed them over. She wanted to engage in their way of life, as a family, thought every time she came close to understanding what that term might have meant, Ren turned her away from it, making it out to be harsh, cold, and not worth their time. In the end, the guild had tossed her out, with Ren revealing himself and not enabling them to help her, as they wanted.
Nevertheless, she could barely understand the concept. Even with what Erika had done, the hate of Ren still flowed inside her, and drove her into old habits. If someone were in her way, she had no choice but to finish them off and end their miserable lives. They were not completely innocent, if they dare provoke her or set her off in any way. Was there any better way to handle such a thing?
In her mind, there was not, and that was what had brought her here. In her traveling, her new legs had brought her to the cursed lands, godforsaken terrain, overrun with mindless beasts. Many of them were rather out of shape, her vermillion eyes noted, thus leading her to label the place “Fat Monster Land”, even if that was not really its name. Who knew? She could barely read, and though maps were fun to look at for the designs, they made little sense to the mind of the child in spirit.
