The icy winds howled powerful around the mostly deserted landscape of glaciers, the icefield floating within the water isolated from most of the rest of the world and entirely freezing. Most of the life that existed within this land? Actually lived beneath the waves instead of on the ice itself, or lived between the two, the only exception to this really were the subtle signs of some sort of human population in the area. Getting into the space had required ice breaking ships, but afterwards it had been easy enough for whatever group had moved in to make the stone structure they had built into the side of a solid glacier in spite of the massive size of the building. Clearly, there was no town here, it was not some group of people looking to make a life on the ice fields or such, actually from the castle or prison like design of the structure it could easily be implied that whoever owned it had come here to avoid people or hide their activities! Actually it was quiet the alarming structure to set one’s eyes on as it really did look as if the building was designed to be easy to protect and hard to escape. However it was not the building itself that was important right now, in the end the location was simply the place, the setting, what was truly important was one of the people contained within the structure.
Everything in the world was incredibility and painfully dark right now, she despised the dark and had for sometime now thanks to a recent experience in her life. Actually? Recent meant within the last few years, when she had been kidnapped and held against her will for several years until she was rescued in a story she now could not clearly remember trauma had wiped the experience from her brain. At the moment every single agonizing moment of her last experience was slowly coming back to her head and repeating beneath her screwed shut eyelids. Right now she was trapped deep inside her own head in her personal hell unable to escape it, the cold air around the area burning her sensitive lungs as magic cancelling cuffs drained her of strength due to her existence being entwined with her magic. The longer those cuffs remained on her body? Jiyu was at an increased risk of simply dying, since she now required the wind she partnered with to survive and she was currently entirely cut off from in. Right now? She felt more alone than she ever had before unable to hear the whispers she had heard since the day she cast her first spell! It was complete agony and she was unsure how long she could endure this, not sure if it was even worth fighting to endure it anyways, after all she did not have much to look forward to when she escaped.
Kazehime was entirely bare she knew this due to the cold even if she was unable to see herself through the blindfold. This sort of condition? Was stressful enough for a normal person but for Jiyu it was additionally straining due to how close this situation fell to her original capture! She could not even remember how she ended up here. While the gap in memory was strange? Kaze could not focus on it past how much panic and grief was tied up inside of her, right now all she could think about was her last experience being taken like this. Fear ran unchecked in her body she could do nothing except try to fight off the tears she felt coming on, tell herself they won if she started crying. It was depressing she thought that she had cried all the tears she had inside the last time this happened, yet she could barely fight them off right now. Eventually she lost control and the blindfold slowly dampened with her salty tears. Jiyu could smell others in the room and she died of embarrassment crying in front of her captors but at the same time she did not trust her nose since they had not spoken yet, even if she could hear them breathing the hearts of her tormentors beating nearly drown out by her own thundering organ, she didn't feel like anyone was there, doubted herself, questioned her sanity. Of course? A demon's sanity was always in question even if they tried to live like a human as she did since childhood, even living most of her life unaware of her demonic blood.
“So you are still capable of crying MA1.” his voice drifted to her sensitive ears more painful than any torture someone could inflict upon her because suddenly she knew what was coming, the future that she would have to endure. Jiyu did not have to smell the sharp tangy scent of whatever cologne he liked wearing to know who this man was, yet she had no clue what he looked like as she had never spent a single day alongside him without this blindfold covering her face. Had escaping, living her life in Black Rose for a while longer all been some long dream, had she never actually gotten away from them?! The female couldn’t bring herself to do anything except lay back against the ground, feeling herself break to pieces as she flashbacked to the last time she had heard that voice. Burnt flesh filled her nose, well the smell of it and yet she did not feel the pain normally associated with it telling her that right now for the moment everything was just in her head. Somehow? She had ended up right back in the clutches of the men who had abducted her around a year or two before, back then they kept her for three years and she was fairly sure they had intended to kill her the night she escaped. So why would they capture her again, and keep her alive. Of course chances of staying alive were slim, it was doubtful they knew about her body's need for connection with the wind, they would keep these cold magic canceling cuffs on her body and slowly she would die because she was dependant on her element. The last time she was with these people she would have welcomed death, but now she just thought of the people that would miss her, wondering if they would look for her unlike her family, how long they would scratch their heads about it, how long it would take them to notice she was missing. Unlike the last time? They were not taking her right after she was a drifter, she was loyal to Black Rose she had social connections, eventually someone was going to know she had not wandered off for another job binge. Could she hold out that long?
His laugh was rich but it made her shiver in disgust as he touched his fingers to her cheek, brushing them up to the soaked blindfold where his hand cradled the side of her face almost gently. How this man treated her? Was so different from the last time, she could tell he was kneeling to be level with her, one of his hand’s combing through her hair. “You’ll have to forgive our inadequate holding the first time, we had not been fully briefed little bitch.” he removed the pig tails she had been wearing, the last articles of ‘clothing’ that had been on her person. “We’ve since found out much more about you, it's a shame Akane had to run away you could have gotten a good life little Kazehime, had your father not been human.” how they did they know her mother, and how they did know her father was human! Wait been, was her father dead?! Had these men killed him! Nothing made sense, especially the way he moved his hand gently down to her shoulder’s and then moved one hand to trace her guild tattoo. What was he going to do to her, she could not think past the sheer terror. “Now, you behave this time and you won’t get hurt like the last time, you do hold some slight value in spite of your impure lines MA1.” wait were they promising that if she simply behaved and cooperated with them that she could avoid being injured this time? Did she trust that someone was coming for her that much, enough to go along with such vile things in order to keep herself safe until someone could rescue her. In her past? Jiyu had never waited for someone to save her, she had always been self sufficient because she had spent years as a run away, if she could not make it on her own she would have died. However something had changed after she escaped the last time, she had changed not only becoming an Inugami, but changed as a person.
Could she behave until whoever was hired to or went after her finally found her? It would be disgusting, she would never want to barely even look at men after this, heck she would want to kill every person beneath this roof but she could behave for a little while! At least than if she started fighting? She had more energy to do it, she was rebellious and strong headed, but Jiyu was far from stupid. His hand’s skated uncomfortably down her body and she chose to just lay there instead of trashing like she once had, tried to take her brain somewhere else besides where she was. While she could force herself to behave? She couldn’t stand being there consciously when they did what she knew they would do to her, when they reminded her that she was dirty and just something to be used by them for whatever they wanted to use her for. “Damn we must have really broken her last time, she didn’t even fight this time, none of us have a scratch on us.” they laughed because if they had done their research they knew she was incapable of harming them anyways without her magic, physically she was too weak, though her captors were wrong, mentally she would remain resilient. Playing her part? Was something the girl was very good at, she had always been able to do that, it was how she had made it this long back when she was on her own.
“Take the cuffs off her, she’ll die if we don’t plus the bars are magic proof she can’t cast through them nor by putting her hands through them.” apparently he knew quite a bit and had an interest in not causing excess damage except for the needle he jammed in her arm. While she couldn’t see it happen? The mysterious man had drawn her blood. “Also get her some nicer accommodations, maybe a blow up mattress and blanket, if she is going to be cooperative we don’t need her dying from hypothermia.” with that she could hear his footsteps fading away, but they didn’t remove the cuffs quiet yet, likely waiting until they got the demanded items so they did not have to toy with the risk of her deciding to fight back too much. These people were more organized and wiser than the last time they had held her, last time they had not considered her threat enough to cancel her magic out, nor had they held her somewhere so isolated, she could hear flowing water, sounded like the ocean, unless someone was looking for her they would not find her. Shockingly? Jiyu had faith someone was looking for her this time.
As she was left to lay there and think, the female slowly started realizing that she could still use her Inugami senses, the cuffs might only cancel her magic. Did they think her shapeshifting was linked to her wind magic?! Was it still possible she could shapeshift since she could hear and smell as normal. Once she was sure no one was watching her, than she would test that.
