Adalia was stretching out, having recently left the charity she was assisting. At this point, she was somewhat at a loss of what to do. Sure, her main goal would take a while as her sub-goals were first in line, in this case learning more about the land she was in, but she wasn't entirely sure how to go about it. A map would really have helped her, because she didn't particularly feel too comfortable going into the unknown by herself. She didn't actually know it wasn't too dangerous; she was raised to think that everything could be a potential enemy, and every place unsafe, so while it might have appeared as strange to others, it was completely natural for her.
The sun was shining brightly in the afternoon, many donating bits of spare change to the charity she had worked at even after the fact. There were many smiles, laughter, happiness, even despite the situation of rebuilding the town. It looked like a classic construction site - the ground completely dirt with materials for buildings and the likes scattered all over, many of the workers putting the structures together however it was supposed to be done, with several mages assisting the cause to speed up the process. If it wasn't for the constant dust in the air and overly-enthusiastic crowd, she might have been able to tolerate walking among everyone else, and maybe even relax some.
She couldn't help but sigh afterwards, and started walking with the crowd on what could barely be considered roads on their outskirts. She was hoping to find some sort of general store, one with a map, perhaps, and maybe someone that would be able to provide her with information, which would allow her to kill two birds with one stone. She did in fact come across such a store, and behind the counter was an old man with a fabulous beard... yet, his prices were not so fabulous; they had tags, so she needn't ask him for prices. Adalia had no concept of hustling quite yet, and her thieving skills weren't impressive. She thought about using her charms to convince him to give her his map, but she highly doubted it would work, so she didn't try.
I'm not keen on the idea of becoming a criminal quite yet... or possibly ever, so I can't exactly kill him, either. she had thought to herself. She looked into her pocket and counted about 2,500 jewels, which wouldn't be enough to get almost anything, except for some food. She was clearly in the shopping area because of all the stands with food, clothing, trinkets, and various other things. She was looking through the food stands, and all of their prices were out of her range. Her stomach growled very loudly. Adalia was in a very poor mood at this point.
