A Wine Whim [Job/Solo}

This was a job Shea took mostly for fun. And genuine interest, but mostly for fun. After all, it wasn’t like she was going to get paid for this after all, but she had business in Rose Garden anyway.

She had just been passing but had noticed a sign on a restaurant door proclaiming that the owner wanted a wine tester for the days and in return, the tester gets free meals. This seemed like a good enough deal and the songstress had already finished her errand to Black Rose anyway, so she decided to take the ‘job’.

Opening the shop's door she was met with a pleasant jingle of a bell. The shop looked homey with wood furnishings of different shades but still matching in its own ways, with potted and viney plants growing around the area. There was also splattering’s of the towns iconic roses, mostly in the window sill or on the counter. Overall it was a very pleasant place that Shea wouldn’t mind visiting again.

A waitress welcomed her and asked where she wanted to be seated, but paused when Shea informed her why she was really here. The waitress smiled and said the wine testing would begin in an hour if Shea wanted to wait a bit, possibly eat as well. Shea agreed and enjoyed a very good meal while the wine testing was being set up.

The half-elf was greeting by the cheery and robust owner who started to explain what the task was and how to properly go about it to her and several others who were participating. Now while Shea had never been wine tasting before she had been able to taste some of the world’s best wines from her travels, but mostly as her stint as an opera singer. The wine in her mother’s court of Seven, in particular, was delicious to her tastes. It was a shame that they weren’t tasting other kinds of alcohol, the sake of that eastern country was also very delicious. But anyways, Sea was stuck with tasting medium and semi-high quality wine that a local restaurant was serving. But sometimes it was this kind of drink, not the high-quality drinks of her past that made the mage feel best while drinking.

The tester’s line up as the servers began pouring them small cups of the first wine. Shea picked upper hers and drank. It was a sweet iced wine, smooth and tasty but doesn’t go down easily. Shea gave her grade along with the others and moved onto the next wine. This one was a regular red, one from the desert country by its spicy taste. Shea gave her grades ad they continued to tests the drinks. The amounts they tested weren’t enough to get drunk, along with the fact they had all eaten something before this which was clever of the restaurant staff to do.

The testing was over and everyone was pleased with the choices they made and the restaurant made. The owner thanked them all for their time and gave them vouchers for a free meal for two at this restaurant. Shea left Rose Garden in a very pleased mood.
