Upon nearing the building, Kaylin was contemplating why she took this job. She'd never even tasted wine before. She couldn't even begin to know how it would taste. She hoped she would enjoy it enough to judge it correctly. She steadily approached the door, and was met with an array of different smells. Kaylin carefully pushed open the door. Inside the restruant was a single man. Kaylin assumed he was the owner, and her guess was confirmed when she talked to him. He explained that the restaurant was currently closed for the wine tasting.
After a few moments of conversation they made their way to the wine cellar. As Kaylin walked down the old wooden steps the scent she originally smelled grew stronger. Nearing the end of the stair she was able to see the wine barrels. They were all opened and ready for tasting. Their colors varied. Some were a bloody red. Others were clear. Most, however were a dark purple. Kaylin walked to the nearest barrel and breathed in the scent. It almost smelled nutty. The owner handed her a small shot glass for tasting the wines. Kaylin dipped it into the wine barrel. When she drew it out it was full of wine. She took a small sip, and swished it through her mouth examining the taste. It was a sweet taste, with a after note of bitterness. It was amazing. Kaylin had never tasted anything like this, and she wanted more. "This tastes amazing!" The owner seemed happy because her approval of the wine. Kaylin let go of her craving to get more of the wine, and moved towards the next barrel. She dipped her cup into it, and quickly drew it out. This time it a was a clear color, with just a small hint of yellow. She took a sip. This one had a mild bitter taste. It was still good though, she didn't like this one as much as the last, but it was still rather good. She told the store owner of her approval. He was able to tell she didn't enjoy it as much as the last, but she reassured him it was still delicious. As she moved from barrel to barrel she grew drousier. Her mind began to fog up, and her head hurt. Kaylin started to trip over her own feet frequently. The owner quickly picked up on this and was suspicious she was drunk. Kaylin denied it was a drunken tone. The man let her continue her tasting until there were no new wines to taste. at this point she had become extremely drunk.
Upon walking up the stairs Kaylin could tell it was dark out. Her thanked her immensely. He did't reward her with money, but he promised free food whenever she came to his restruant, no matter the cost. Kaylin thanked him, and walked out on the streets constantly barreling into things. Kaylin made her way back to the guild hall. She sat down, and collapsed. She woke up the next morning feeling sick, and could tell she was still being affected by all the wine she drank. "Ugh, this sucks. I feel sick." Kaylin quickly fell back asleep hoping when she woke up the next time she'd feel better, and be completely sober.
