Demonic Plants! (Job)

Chili stood still as he scanned the small village the best he could from the tree branch he was sitting on thirty meters away. Beanstalk village, decent sized farming village, nestled right in a forest. It produced a variety of products that were distributed all around Fiore, most of them meat and vegetable products. One of which was the reason, Chili, found himself looking over the small village. The crops had all wilted mysteriously, sprouting out thorns, glowing weirdly, and with no wizards living in the village, no one knew what to do. So they put out a job contract, which Chili had come across. Reading it he had set off from Clover Town. What he saw now was accurate to the jobs description, a few small crop fields wilted and glowing brightly. "I don't want to damage the village a whole lot, and if it's a curse that I can lift then I want to leave the crops undamaged too. So that means hellfire is out of the question, I'll have to stick to the other three." Chili speculated as pushed himself off the branch and dropped to the ground. Landing softly in a crouched position, Chili stood up straight from there and began slowly approaching the village. Exiting the woods and starting on a regular path, Chili was ten meters away and he could now clearly see what the plants look like. Gray or purple looking, wilted, weird thorns on them, and glowing a dim yellow light. Getting closer and stopping 3 meters from the edge of the village, Chili noticed something else. He was so focused on looking at the crops he had just realized that literally, no one was outside. Chili started to sweep his gaze looking at house windows to see if anyone was watching from behind the shades. No movement as far as he could see. "Great, the atmosphere of this place is screaming suspicious." Chili thought, "Ice mode is a little risky, however, it's the smartest, strongest, and least destructive mode I got. Just in case, I do have to fight I'll try to stick to the forest or small village road." Chili closed his eyes and started to do hands signs. One symbolizing cold, one solid, another transformation, and the final one representing water. A blue flame outlined by a white one appeared floating near the top of his head. Now ready for any kind of diabolicalness, Chili, started into the village. The village was set up with a small grid road system, connecting together plots of land which held three or four houses on them. Most of the side edge houses held crops, while the furthest rear ones held cattle, chickens, pig and other sources of meat. However, there were some smaller gardens next to some of the more center houses. Fifteen minutes later, He was now near the center of town examining a small tomato patch growing in someone's window when the ground started to rumble. Before he knew it dwarf sized vegetable plants started to pop out of the ground.

'Monster Dice' :

Chili just stared at what he could clearly see.They were tomato creatures about 20 meters away from him, that were made up of two tomatoes combined to make a lower and upper body with white limbs extending from their proper places. Although the upper tomato had more than just limbs, red glowing eyes, and a mouth with sharp fangs to boot. They were ten of them all of them looking like they were sniffing the air, trying to find something. "Well, that wasn't expected, although I'm not sure what I was thinking I'd run into," Chili mumbled to himself still staring at the tomato monsters. As if hearing him one of the ten turned around and started talking. "Hey! Porcupine head! You the one putting off the magic!" It shouted rudely at him. Blinking a few times, and chuckled at the fact that he was just trashed talked by a demon tomato. "What if I am, think you bunch of "stew"pid looking tomatoes are gonna fry me up huh?" Chili cracked back. The tomato wasn't amused, making some sort of snort noise at Chili's remark. It spoke up to the others, "Alright, chow time boys! Come on everyone attack that one he's putting off magic!" The five feet tall tomato demons that were still sniffing the air stopped, all of them turning to look in Chili's direction. Some began to hiss, while others just stared. Before he knew it five of them rushed him. Chili places the palm of one hand over the other and slid it across, creating his throwing knives. Taking aim he prepared to throw the knives at the five that were now within ten meters of him. One demon seeing him readying his attack decided swerved off to the left, leaving four still rushing him. The one in the lead went to try and tackle him, Chili, jumped up and used the demon as a stepping stool to boost himself higher. Doing a half flip in mid air, turning himself upside down and threw two of the knives into the tomatoes back, killing it. Although Chili was caught off guard by a tomato who also used one of its companions as a lauhchpad. The demon grabbed him in mid air, position Chili so the weight of the two hundred pound tomato would help him hit high velocity while crashing into the ground. Rolling over, Chili was meant to face to face with the ugly demon plant who proceeded to jump at him. Swiftly swing his arm, Chili, sank the knife hilt deep in the plants head. Slamming it into the ground next to him. Chili quickly rolled back into a crouching positon from which he stood up. Hearing a grumble behind him, Chili turned to see the one he had stabbed in the head still moving. Walking over to it he lifted his right leg up and brought it crashing down, squishing the tomatoes head. There were only three left of the original five that attacked him with five still left to go. The one that had veered off to the left was now right next to Chil, jumping towards him to do a belly flop. Dodging by dashing forwards, Chili spun on the balls of his feet and threw a knife at the air born demon plant. His dagger missed the main body by an inch or two, however, it severed the right leg off the creature. Turning back to face the other two, Chili was met by an uppercut from one of them. Stumbling backward a foot or two, Chili kicked sideways hitting one of the two tomatoes to the ground. It was on its back un able to get straight up like a turtle. Starting to back up from the one still approaching, Chili threw his last knife nailing the thing right in the head. All of a sudden something grabbed his left leg and bit it, hard. "Owww!" Chili grunted looking down to see the one whose leg he had severed, nibbling at his heel. Lifting his right foot up Chili stomped on the thing, ending its existence. Looking back up, Chili barely had time to side step another jumping tomato. The thing face planted itself into the ground where Chili proceeded to punt it away like a football. The tomato he had side kicked managed to get itself back up and now was wobbling towards him. The other five were now joining the fray, waddling over as fast as they could. Running up to the still slightly dazed plant and delivering a normal punch to its face. The thing keeled over now leaving only five tomatoes plus whatever came after them. With the other five still fifteen meters away, Chili began to quickly do some more hand signs. One for Demon, one for Chaos, another for Rebirth, and the final one for Dragon. The flame on his head went from blue to a scarlet red. Turning around he sprinted away from the close proximity of the houses and took up a better position away from anything burnable. However, the road was not that wide and if he wasn't careful he could cause some serious damge. The tomatoes had followed staying about ten meters behind him, in an upside down V formation. Clenching his fists, Chili started charging magic into his hands and feet preparing for his next attack.

'Damage Dice' :

The demons were five meters away when Chili's attack was all good to go. Boosting forward at fifteen percent more speed, going twenty-three miles per hour. Chili cleared the 5 meters in a second. Having planned on doing this, he was prepared as he slammed into two of the tomatoes in the front of the V. The center first one and the second one behind it to the left. They had been in close enough proximity to each other that Chili was able to pull it off.  Clutching one in each hand, he let the boost carry him and them a fifteen more meters before turning off the booster and crouching low while he skidded along the ground, slamming both the tomatoes into the dirt to drag them along. Sliding about six meters further, he let go of the abominations, both dead from the impact of him hitting them followed by being plowed through the dirt. Which is ironical what you do to the ground before planting some types of plants. Turning around, Chili was happy to see his boost hadn't done major damage. All it did was leave burn marks on the road and two of the houses, luckily enough nothing had caught fire. "You think beating us will matter, there is worse and more than just us!" One of the two now on his left shouted at him. "So that means there is a source, that you over sized carnival winning tomatoes came from." Chili remarked back calmly, "I don't really care how many of you there are and what size or color you come in as well. I'll turn you all into a paste." The three tomatoes all started charging towards Chili at the same time. Not wanting to keep them waiting he started sprinting towards them, fist still lit a blaze, ready to fight. Chili was faster than the demons getting to them a few seconds quicker than if he were to meet them half way. The tomatoes were still quick, however, the two side most ones diving in their appropriate directions while the third one decided to stand its ground and throw a punch at Chili as he came within 2 meters. Side stepping the punch to the right, slamming his left foot into the ground stopping firmly, Chili delivered a punch to the creatures face. The creature was stunned. "Hey have you ever....." Chili began saying with his fist still in the tomatoes face until he saw it swell up slightly. Retracting his fist and swiftly rotating his left foot ninety degrees backward and took three quick steps back. As he took the third step, the tomato started spewing up a red substance that he could have sworn sizzled as it hit the ground. Rotating his foot back, Chili took three steps forward and slammed his fist into the side of the tomato as it finished spewing. As it dropped to the ground with a thud, Chili was hit from behind by the red sauce attack, spewed by one of the demon tomatoes that dodged earlier. He was lifted off his feet and sent flying off the road and into someone's front yard by a few meters. Laying on his back, Chili starts to shake the spots from his eyes. Bracing himself, he kicked up from his position and landed on his feet. "Well that was a nice surprise, it's fun to now know what pasta feels like." Chili commented as the tomatoes advanced, getting into a defensive stance while they approached he was ready for the attack they came up with in covering such a short distance. Both tomatoes approached at the same time when they got within eight meters one stopped and charged up to spew. While the other burst forward going faster than it had been, before jumping high into the air, arching towards Chili as it went. A little-tired Chili was lucky to still be slightly faster than the two monsters, dashing diagonally to the left he dodged the spew by a second and the belly flop by another two. Changing direction he zig zagged rightwards, over to the recently spewing tomato. Stopping five meters near it, he then proceeded to upper cut it, drop to sideways onto his left hand, and deliver a sideways kick to the creature sending it two meters away. Turning in a hundred and eighty degrees around, Chili focused his attention on the last of the tomatoes. It had recovered from missing and was now on its feet, facing him, ready to attack. The thing sprinted at him unexpectedly going for a slam. Dropping low into a crouch, Chili spun in a circle to deliver a powerful leg sweep. Tripping the tomato, and as it fell Chili delivered a karate chop mid air sending it into the ground harder. Standing up fully, Chili was ready to fight what ever came his way next even if he was feeling a little drained at the moment. "Yeesh I didn't even get to tell my joke, who would have thought five-foot tall tomatoes could be such a hassle." Chili commented with a deadpan expression on his face, "That was just the first was too."  As he finished talking the ground began to shake again. "Well, here comes the next customer" Chili said smiling lamely.

'Monster Dice' :

More freaking tomatoes came popping out of the ground all in a clump close by luckily enough. Not wanting to give the tomatoes time to even talk, Chili sprinted into the cluster of monsters and zigged in between them delivering five swift attacks. Starting with a swift right kick to the first of the ten, before raising his leg up higher and delivering a swift ax kick to the same tomato. The second one was able to look up at Chili as he slammed a fist into its face, sending it stumbling backward a meter or two on fire, springing up it started to run in a circle screeching. The third tomato tried to block, however, it failed to, getting uppercut and sent backward into two others making them tumble over onto the ground. The final attack was a straight forward kick that sent the another tomato rolling backward a meter. With the other four monsters now all paying attention, choosing to hold off their attack while the three he knocked over tried to get up, Chili, decided to rethink things. Dashing backward ten meters and bringing the middle of his forearm up to his mouth, he bit into it hard enough to draw blood. The fire around his hands and feet disappeared and the flame above his head changed to black with a white fire out line. Now steadily walking back slowly Chili lifted his right hand, the palm facing upwards with it cupped slightly. Channeling magic into it, ready for when they launch their offensive.

The one he had lit on fire was now rolling around on the ground trying to put itself out. While the four untouched tomatoes, now rejoined by the four he had knocked over started to move in on him. Now having walked five meters back from where he dashed. Giving the tomatoes a fifteen-meter space between him and them. They started to spread out as they approached him putting about seven meters amid themselves, Chili started to slowly walk forwards letting himself be circled. "That's right encircle me just give me a nice good cluster you red eye sores," Chili thought waiting for them to get into a better position. When within ten meters four all sped towards him planning on crushing him between them while four stayed back at ten meters, preparing to spew if he tried to escape. When within five meters of him, Chili jumped upwards and threw his void into the area where he was standing. The sudden damage killed the tomato he had kicked early, getting rid of one of the five that were ready to fire. While all the others were caught off guard by the attack. Unaffected by his own magic, Chili landed behind one of the tomatoes who had charged and karate chopped it as hard as he could. As it fell over, Chili turned in a one eighty and started sprinting towards the gap in the spewers he had made by killing that demon before the previous.  Making it out of the circle he kept sprinting down the road thirty meters before coming to a stop leaving the tomatoes to their problems. Doing the symbols for cold, solid, transformation, and water. His flame turned blue.

The Tomatoes who charged were too close to the center to make it out before taking more damage. All three of them dying. Out of the four other tomatoes that prepared to spew, three made it out. The fourth one dying a meter away from clearing the radius. No longer on fire, the tomato had survived however on the brink of death it chose to stay laid out on the ground. The three still operational tomatoes decided to continue after Chili. Seeing them approaching Chili made his knives. Holding two in one hand and three in the other, he started to run forward. Traveling about ten meters forward, Chili hurled two of his knives towards one of the demons which were now only ten meters away from him. One nailed the thing in the head while the other pierced it in the chest. The other two saw this happen to their friend and turned to run. Before the one on the left could run more than six meters, Chili flung two knives into its back. While the one on the right was still running, with Chili catching up. Aiming for its leg he nailed it, taking the tomato done. Stopping where the tomato dropped, Chili found himself near where he had scorched the ground and two houses. With a bunch of holes in someone's front yard, Luckily enough no crops were there. Chili lifted his foot and heavily stomped on the tomato's head. Repeating this twice, he then turned and approached the burnt tomato. "You will lose! You may have beaten us however our sheer numbers will overwhelm you!" The tomato boasted proudly even on its death bed. "Yeah, we'll have to wait and see if your right then. Although you won't be around to see." Chili replied back before squishing the tomato's head with another pair of heavy stomps. Quickly doing the hand signs for demon, chaos, rebirth, and dragon, Chili swapped to Hellfire mode. His flame now back to scarlet red. He didn't feel any shaking coming from the ground so Chili began walking down the road. Heading towards the outer edge of houses.

"Man not sure if I can go on much longer, these demon plants are annoying." Chili complained as he leaned himself against one of fence posts that divided the road and the small fields from one another. ".......I just got it, giant evil plants as a result of a curse. Reminds me of a game. Although I have no idea how to get rid of 'em"  He thought as he rested against the fence a moment longer.  Letting five minutes passed with no activity, Chili pushed away from the post and continued further down the dirt road towards the farthest crop fields near the edge of the forest. Taking about four minutes to get there, he was happy to no longer be surrounded by houses, however having plant fields on both sides of him carrying on back behind him by two more. If he didn't keep to the three-meter road, he could damage the crops. After walking to the center of the road between the last two fields, Chili spun in a two hundred and seventy degrees circle. Scanning the two fields and coming to stop his gaze one the one that was to his right, he paused noticing a couple of the corn plants shaking about forty meters away. Clamping his hands into fists, he started to charge up his spell and thinking quickly to himself "I'm not sure what's coming, all I know is that I have to wait until it is on the road with me. Attacking it in the field would devastate a good amount of the crop." The corn stopped shaking as a couple of corn stalks about three meters forward started shaking. Still charging, Chili backed up putting a six-meter gap amid himself and the field's fence, while having his back three meters from the tomato field that had been to his left earlier. As the shaking kept moving forward. Chili was waiting to watch the corn start to shake closer and closer to the edge of the field. However all of a sudden the ground within a five-meter radius started shaking. They were using the field to distract him the man group had snuck up on him and he was slightly surprised as the ground opened up, releasing more demons for him to fight.

'Monster Dice' :

Three seven-foot tall broccoli with, limbs and a face that consisted of a fanged mouth paired with red glowing eyes.....That's what came popping out of the ground this time instead of tomatoes. As soon as the first one's feet hit the ground it spun towards him and charged. Side stepping a meter to the left, Chili, dodged it, only having a second to glance at it as another broccoli tried the same thing. Choosing to boost right at this moment, Chili met the second demon head on. Smashing his now ignited first in the things face, while going a little over twenty miles per hour. Killing the boost right after his first hit, he came to a skidding stop. Sending the broccoli flying four meters away towards the cornfield, its top on fire. Quickly turning to the right he blocked a punch thrown by the third demon with his left forearm. Pushing its arm out wide, Chili proceeded to land two swift punches to the creature's mid section. It raised its back to deliver a heavy headbutt, sidestepping the attack by going to the left in a ninety-degree semi circle around the creature. The creature was slow to recover, giving Chili time to deliver a heavy heel kick to the thing's leg, snapping it inwards sideways, and bringing the monster to its knees. Now facing in the direction of the tomato field, Chili could not only see the other approaching broccoli monster, also now he could clearly see that the tomato plants had begun shaking, then stopping, while other plants closer to the edge of the field started shaking. Having a few seconds, Chili, chose to pay attention to the crippled monster in front of him, ramming his flaming fist into its head then jumping and delivering a quick roundhouse kick to its head. The things body went lifeless at his feet, it's leg leaking green ooze. Choosing to finish off the demon cost, Chili his chance to dodge the shoulder ram that hit him next. The thing not only rammed him however instead it proceeded to grab him and start carrying towards the corn field. Chili freed his right arm and started punching the thing in the face, determined to take the thing down before they hit the fence. Two hits as it carried him two meters, it responded by crushing him in its grip harder. Two more hits after three meters, struggling to punch correctly Chili's missed a couple times while being carried off. The final hit made the demon keel over doping off Chili on the other side of the road. Now only two meters away from the cornfield's fence, he pushed himself up into a standing position. Not wanting to forget where he was, Chili turned to the right again to find the broccoli he had lit on fire. It was slightly discombobulated, however upon seeing how close Chili was it ignored the fire on its head and prepared to attack. Crashing forward at a blindly fast speed, Chili barely dodged the demon stepping out of its way. Getting behind it, he kicked the back of its leg in making it fall to its knee momentarily. Proceeded to grab its right arm and snap it, causing more green ooze to spurt out. The demon screeched loudly as it stood back up, going to deliver a punch to Chili's face. Ducking his head out of the way, Chili stepped a meter to the right and sent a right hook into the creature's face instead. Spinning quickly, Chili, connected a swift roadhouse kick to the creatures head knocking it into the dirt completely beaten. As he finished the last one off three more appeared on the edges of the two fields on each side of the road. "Six more of these things.....great this should be fun." Chili sarcastically thought as the one closest to him started coming from the corn field.

These broccoli demons were two feet shorter than the ones he had just fought and seemed to be weaker. Chili ran, jumping as he went and delivered a flying dragon kick to the broccoli monster as it tried to hop over the fence. Sending rolling back a meter. The other two on the same side just ran through the fence, however, coming up on Chili as a pair. Turning left to face the oncoming threat, Chili ran forwards and slammed a punch into the face of the demon on the left. While he did this the one on the right threw a punch that connected with Chili's lower jaw sending him stumbling back a meter. Recovering quickly he dashed back into the creatures range and delivered a sideways kick to it, making it wobble slightly, catching the thing off balance he then rammed his fist upwards into its chest. scooting the thing a foot backward. Stepping back a meter to dodge the other demon's punch before jumping into the air and sending a left legged road house kick into the monster's face. It stumbled back while the one he punched recovered and came at him, planning on head ramming the mage. Before it could head butt, however, Chili swiftly sprinted to it and delivered a punch that buried itself in the creature's chest. Green ooze sprayed on him slightly as his fist was covered in the stuff, Chili pulled his hand from the innards of the thing with a load schlepping sound being made as he did and let it drop to the ground. Instantaneously, Chili turned around in time to barely block another oncoming punch. Throwing the arm of the creature away as to leave it wide open, he sprung up to it and connected an uppercut to it. Followed by a flaming heel kick to the stomach, he sent the thing tumbling over, dead. Turning his attention to the one he had hit at the start, Chili was caught off guard by a seriously powerful head butt. The strength of which knocked him over and into the dirt. Not giving much thought to what happened, Chili reacted and rolled out from the creature's foot as it brought it down. Barely missing Chili's head as he rolled out of the way and pushed himself back up into a fighting position the creature turned to throw a heavy punch. Ducking out of the punch's path rightwards, Chili stopped in front the creature and sent a fist flying into its face before stepping forwards quickly and delivering an uppercut to it. The monster stumbled backward and fell to its knees where Chili finished it with a heavy side kick to the head. Having almost forgotten the other three, Chili turned to look in the tomato field's direction. He saw that they had made it over the fence without damaging it and were now three meters away. Feeling the soreness starting to set in Chili needed to finish these things off. The final three all began circling him. One got impatient, snorted like a bull and started to rushing forward. Having hoped this would happen, Chili dodged and let the stupid plant run into its friend who had been on the opposite side of him. As those two tumbled over one another, leaving Chili and one lone broccoli to fight it out. The thing rushed forward and tried to deliver a punch. Chili simply side stepped the fist and proceeded to light up the broccoli's world with three swift punches to its face and mid section. Not done yet the thing reared its head back to try and headbutt Chili. However seeing this Chili rolled diagonally behind the thing. As it threw its head towards the spot Chili had been. Now behind the thing, Chili made his flaming hand like a spear and sent it into the creature's back. Letting out a dying squeal the thing keeled over. Extracting his hand from it as it died, Chili now had green goo up to his right elbow with some splattered on his clothes. Now no longer a pile of limbs and greenery the two broccoli attacked Chili. One tried to ram again while the other dashed up to deliver a punch. The one throwing the punch got there first allowing Chili to grab its arm and use its own momentum to swing it into the charging one's path. However now behind the monster Chili was still knocked over by the force of the charging one, he just happened to make the other broccoli take most of the damage. As all three of them went tumbling over, Chili was able to be the first back up, kicking up from his sprawled out position. Noticing the broccoli that he had sandwiched between him and its comrade slowly pushing itself up, Chili ran over and kicked it in the face. Sending it rolling over on its. However, before he could do much more the monster that had charged came towards him throwing punch after punch. Stepping back each time to avoid a hit, Chili let the thing back him up three meters before dashing past a punch. Bringing himself right in front of the creature, Chili delivered a heel kick to the thing's abdomen, making it stagger back. Following the kick up with a left hook, he made the creature stagger back more and hit it one more time with a right uppercut. The thing was lifted off its feet by a centimeter or three before crashing to the ground as a lifeless rag. The last monster was now on its feet. It smiled at Chili as it approached. "I may not have been the one to eat the marrow from your bones, however one of my kind will!" The broccoli stated like it was some type of unavoidable thing. "You know all you plant demons can talk big, but I'm still here and kicking your guys' stumps." Chili commented back. Neither said much more as they both dashed at one another. About half way there the ground shook beneath Chili's feet. Changing course he jumped backward two meters, in time too as another broccoli came out of the ground this one a seven footer. It had been hiding in the ground this entire time. Now it wanted to join the fight! The five-foot tall broccoli was not caught off guard and proceeded to run past the newly appeared monster, continuing to attack Chili. It closed the three meters quickly, with Chili's back almost touching the fence, he decided to do something stupid. Stepping to the left, crouching low, Chili swept the legs out from underneath the demon while it was mid run. It went crashing into the fence. Before it could fully get up Chili approached its head. Stomping on the things melon quickly, crushing what little life it had left out of it. Chili turned to the last one as soon as he was done. "So you gonna give up?" The last broccoli asked. Not even giving it a response, Chili sprinted up to it. Closing the three meters between them in a few seconds. The thing blocked his punch and tried to throw its own. However, Chili blocked it. They went back and forth trading blows, neither landing a hit. Until Chili cheaply nailed the thing in the leg with a heavy kick. The thing screeched as its limb cracked, not fully breaking it, however. The creature took its eyes off of Chili for two seconds to look at its damaged limb. Chili took this as his chance to swiftly dash up to it. Slamming the palm of his hand into the demon's face Chili lifted it off the ground just enough to direct it towards the ground. Landing in a kneeling position with his right hand pinning the creature to the ground. Before it could fathom what had happened, Chili released his hand from its face and started to punch the creature repeatedly. He had killed the broccoli demons, well all the ones he had seen anyhow. Sadly, Chili didn't have time to relish in that fact as the ground began to shake violently. Not being able to pin a direct location of where the source of the shaking was coming from, Chili, stood up and grinned lazily, he was going to take such a long nap after this job and that thought alone helped ease the soreness that he was now starting to feel with his adrenaline wearing off a little.

'Monster Dice' :

About a twenty meters from where he stood, five big cobs of corn came shooting up from the ground. Not having time to really get a better look than that, as Chili saw all of them take deep inhales, and then exhale hard. Sending out giant corn pellets at him. One second, that's all the time he had. He used it to hop the fence.Landing flat on his face, Chili heard corn whiz past his head at lightning speed. Rolling right wards about two meters, Chili was now in the corn field. His hands and feet no longer on fire he was unable to damage it.Standing up he wasted no time in sprinting deeper into the corn, however, he was sore from the broccoli fly swatter head butt causing him to stay at a jogging pace. After a couple minutes, Chil was on the other side of the field, hopping over a fence, and landing on the edge another dirt road with another field across from him. Doing the signs for nothingness, darkness, transportation, and the void, Chili swapped modes his flame turning black. Charging up his next attack in his left hand, Chili started to try and think for a second. "Okay, huge corn cobs that shoot baseball sized corn pellet bullets. Should be easy, unlike the last three waves of ten there is only five of 'em. The last took five hits from my strongest attack to take down, while the first only took two. Hopefully, these guys are weaker than the previous." Chili was only able to finish that thought when three of the demons came zooming onto the road, all lining up about ten meters away, ready to spew again. Right as they got into position the ground beneath Chili, feet started to rumble. Rolling to the left, right into the middle of the road. Chili was completely out in the open as the three fired. He managed to be missed by the first two spews, rolling and diving around like a trained dog. Still, sore Chili was hit by the third one having just dodged the second and not being fast enough to react, he had no time to do anything. Being struck in the left upper abdomen, Chili was lifted off his feet and sent flying two meters down the path. Landing with a hard thud in the dirt, Chili could have sworn he had heard a rib or two crack from the impact of the shot. Laying there with the two ambushing corn approaching while the three twelve meters away were charging up for another spew. Pushing himself up, Chili, got to work thinking up a plan to beat these cob people with.

"It'll have to do," Chili thought to himself as he watched the two corn demons come within two meters of him, both plants only a meter away from each other. Aiming for the spewer behind them instead, Chili launched his void. Within four seconds it had appeared, draining the life out of the three cobs who were being cannons. Hearing their fellow monster's screech out in pain caused the demon on the left turn its head. Using this as his chance, Chili dashed up to the right one, hopping into the air as he went. Kicking the creature back a few meters back. It cried out in pain as it went inside the radius of his void and felt the effects of it. The only cob not within the void's reach came rushing at Chili, who turned to face it was ready to tussle. Attempting to ram him the corn failed as Chili ran pass it to the left, heading for the corn demons caught in his void. Reaching the one he had kicked previously, Chili had to dodge to the left, avoiding a punch and then grabbing the things arm. Chili proceeded to pull the corn off balance towards him. As it stumbled the corn's face was met by Chili's fist, making it stumble back in the other direction. It tried to recover, however, it failed instead getting an uppercut to the face, sending it falling backward onto the ground, defeated. Rushing towards another one, Chili was interrupted by another spew of baseball pellets from the one outside his void. One slammed into his skull, taking him to the ground in a second. Sitting up with blood slowly dripping down his forehead, Chil started to blink the stars from his head. The three demons in his void's radius decided to start stalking towards him instead of escaping. Which was a bad move on their part. Chili smiled, standing up ready for what was to come next.

His void sucked another amount of life from the creatures. Making them weaker, however, exhausted himself from this fight, Chili, was only fast enough to run up to one, driving his fist into its face. The thing fell over dead instantly drained from the void with the punch being the last straw. Noticing the one undamaged demon, getting ready to fire again. Chili shouted out, "COB SHEILD!" Running up to another one of the demons within his proximity, Chili grabbed it and turned it towards the spewer. Chili held strong as he felt each thud through the corn demon as it was pelted to death by its own kind. Dropping the now dead demon, Chili started sprinting towards the unharmed corn. Slower than usual Chili got to the demon right as it was about to spew again. Dodging to its left side Chili narrowly missed another barrage of corn. Slamming his foot into the creature's leg, he made the thing stumble sideways a little. Taking steps forward to keep up with it, Chili threw a punch which connected with the demon's face and made it fumble backward more. Shaking its head the thing regained it's balanced and charged at Chili. Not giving any ground for it to build up momentum, Chili hopped into the air, spun mid air and dealt out a hard roundhouse kick to the creature's head. Making it veer off course and lose its footing. Hopping on top of the downed creature pinning it to the ground, he began smashing its face in with his fists and when he was done it was lights out for the demon. Standing up from his position, Chili turned to look at the last corn demon, however, before he could start moving towards it the ground started rumbling again.

'Monster Dice' :

It was more corn. This was bad, turning around before they saw him, Chili took off running the best he could for cover. Making it to the tree line and past it by a few meters and hiding in some thick bushes, Chili brought his forearm up to his mouth and bit it again. Drawing blood, Chili's flame turned from black to a scarlet red. Concentrating on making his flame dim as to not give off so much light, Chili started to charge energy into his fists. All he had to do was hide until his attack was ready, then take out these six cob demons. Going wide eyed as one came traipsing through the pushes no more than a meter in front of him, Chili silently back up further. No wanting to be found. From where he was crouched he could only see three of the six demons, however, it looked safe enough for him to try something. Leaving his bushes, Chili made his way to the closest tree and made his way up it as quickly and as quietly as he could. They could sense him, he knew this, but it seemed they didn't know exactly where he was at. Going back to charging his attack, Chili watched as they slowly patrolling around the outer edge of the forest. Never going more than thirty meters away from where he had entered. "Okay. They have paired off into three teams of two, each covering a ten-meter radius. Meaning that at some point two of the corn demons should be unable to receive assistance. Now just to wait for the right moment to strike." Chili thought to himself.
