It had been a few days since the original meeting between Aiyana and Advent had met. That had been an interesting day, leading up to her becoming a mentor to help him learn about himself and his magic so that he could do good for himself and others rather than the fate that he seemed to have currently. Her trip back to the Lamia Scale guild hall, located in Hargeon Town, had ended up a lesson in guilds and how they functioned in Fiore. After their arrival, she had talked to her ex-boyfriend, Thomas, about getting Advent a place to stay whenever he was in town. It had gone well, Thomas giving a free room for as long as needed, and after that Aiyana had taken Advent to the job board and gone over the system of it with him before finding a job that was a piece of cake for someone like her. It was to deal with a cult of murderous doppelgangers that seemed to be hiding in the Oak Inn's basement. It would be easy for Aiyana to take care of them, and because of that, it would be a good way to see just what Advent could do currently so that she could help him improve after.

The trip to Oak Town had been one of questions and answers about Fiore, the Magic Council, and anything else about guilds and ranks for mages and jobs that he may have had. If she was going to teach him he at least had to know the basics for the country they were in. It wasn't until they reached the entrance of the Oak Inn that she would finally have a more serious tone to her voice as she spoke. "All right, Advent, we have made it to the building we're supposed to find this cult of murderers in. Stay with me, and let me see what you can safely do while deal with the problem head on. They will likely already know we are here. What cult doesn't have lookouts, right? I'll walk in first, and stick close. We have no clue how many there are going to be, or what they can really do. I can keep us safe, but we still need to pay attention to what our normal senses are telling us." The woman would open the door to the basement complex from the side of the building. Upon hitting the ground of the complex she would silently wait for Advent before moving on. Any questions he had for her would be answered, and they would hopefully learn something about him before the job was through.

Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers Empty Re: Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers

Post by Hania 5th June 2017, 6:58 am

Advent had listen to everything he was told along the way he wasn't sure just how much he would be remember; but he would try his best and what he didn't remember he was glad that those who looked after him would and could remind him. He knew that his past was covered in darkness and due to that to him his hands were a deep sanguine colour that he knew would never wash free, he wasn't to blame but he could never manage to forgive himself no matter how many times he had been told by the others. At first some of them wanted to make sure he knew what he had done and remember it so that he would atone for his evil task but as he grew they soon realised that he was just a regular child and what they had done to him was cruel, he didn't have to know what happened... perhaps if they didn't tell him he would have been far different as a person but it was to late now to know for sure.

He turned his head left and right as he took in new sounds and smells of places they passed on their journey. He had been told that Aiyana would be his tutor, as to why she would want to do such a thing he had no idea since he had been doing just fine on his own but he was glad for some stable company at the very least. He stopped just as they entered Hargeon Town "I've never been here before..." he whispered before moving to catch up with a innocent, yet confused smile as he tried to take in the noises and smells to create new memories not that he really had many due to how his mind worked. "This is where you call home?" he enquired as he caught up following her into the guildhall unable to believe just how busy it was which made him feel a little nervous as he hadn't been expecting it. As Aiyana was talking to another he wandered off but was told by one of those who followed him to remain within the grounds it wouldn't be thoughtful of him if Aiyana had to try and find him.

Hearing that he had been given a room in town when he was visiting until he no longer required it he tilted his head confused "Thank you, but I already have a home" he said not really knowing why he would need a second one; though followed her to a job board he put his hand on it "I've taken jobs from these things before... but I guess sometimes guilds get ones people who aren't don't" he scratched his head listening to the explanation nodding his head listening to the job she had chosen for them tilting his head "Doppelganger?" the term was new to him but he listened to his guardians "Oh... eww, that's awful" he couldn't help but shudder "I've been to Oak Town before, I helped in a banquet there a little while ago" he grinned happy he had something he could take pride in, in the area. "Seems like a good thing to take care of" he almost jamp a little in excitement.

As they left he listened to everything that was being taught to him, like before he had no idea just how much he would retain but done the best that he could given how much information was being thrown at him all at once "You need to explain the magic council more, I've never heard the term before." he scratched at the back of his ear as he continued walking. Hearing the change in tone he blinked listening to just how the conversation swiftly changed nodding "Okay, I'll do my best..." he said slowly following her into the building and down towards the basement, he realised by how she had spoken that this was more of a test to gauge his abilities as much as he didn't like giving out information on himself this was unfortunately one of those things he couldn't avoid. "This place seems bigger on the inside than it does outside" he found himself wondering if that was because of some kind of magic.

Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers Empty Re: Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers

    Post by Cr1tikal 14th June 2017, 2:26 am

A nod from Aiyana, one that Advent would obviously not see, would be made as she listened to his questions and statements. "The Magic Council is a ruling group over the magic users in the country of Fiore. They decide what can and cannot be done, and they are the ones that govern the guilds that mages may join. They are also able to send out jobs to guilds specifically for those members to do them, just like many people in the country and even the world do. And yeah, this place probably goes a lot further out than the building does. A lot of buildings do this for basements and such cause it's easier to hide and store stuff."

It was not much longer than her words finishing their way to Advent's ears than the sounds of rustling feet and clanking armor would be heard coming towards them. Aiyana's magic bracelet would allow her to switch to an x-ray vision in one eye so that she could see what was coming at them. "Advent, we have about ten people coming at us. We are not killing anyone today, but I'll knock this group out so you can prepare yourself for any fighting we're going to have to do after this." What came at them was a pretty sad example of a scouting party. It was a group of ten humans that seemed to only be wearing plate armor and using a hodgepodge of weapons that did not to be in the best of conditions. A sigh would leave her lips before she spoke to them. "Lay down your weapons and surrender now, please. We are only here for your leaders for the deeds they have done." The words fell on deaf ears as the group charged what they thought was an unarmed woman, though she had activated her aura of frostfire that they all ran straight into. The suddenly chilled, yet burning, even as Aiyana suddenly charged the entire group and let out a sudden flurry of attacks with her fists and tails. Heads would be aimed for, knockout punches being the goal, and the entire group would go down without too much of a problem. "Advent, I'm going to tie them up so they can't cause issues for us after they wake up. If you can keep an ear out for anyone else while I do so it would be appreciated." Aiyana would pull out some rope and begin to tie up the ten while also removing their armor and weapons.

Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers Empty Re: Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers

Post by Hania 13th July 2017, 12:29 pm

Advent blinked under his blindfold as he tried to take in the information that he was being given by Aiyana but it really wasn't computing with him at all but he was trying his best. "So magic council are your parents?" He finally said after a few minutes of thinking he knew nothing of politics, royals or the likes to him parents told children what to do and the children followed without question or they where naughty and needed punished for their misdeeds. "So your parents give you some freedom in regards to guilds but decide what is allowed and what isn't in regards to magic?" he fought back the need to touch his left arms runes an ever constant reminder he wouldn't be allowed in such a good place given that he knew the magic was bad, his own parents had told him as such.

He clicked out of his own thoughts as the subject of the building seeming bigger underneath was now addressed a smile back on his face from the serious look it had only a few seconds before "Don't see why things can't keep one size, it makes sense that way." well at least it did in his mind but he guessed that rooms could be bigger but still the diameters of the entire building should remain the same not get bigger or smaller because that seemed kind of a waste in his opinion but he wasn't going to argue the fact he knew it was just one of many things that he would have to get use to.

"I was about to say, they're really heavy on their feet I think a raging bull would be less noticeable than the vibrations these idiots are making" he stated flinching as he felt his head being lightly tap "You told me not to lie, they are idiots and they are very heavy on their feet" he complained to what seemed to the wall but let out a sigh "I'm sorry Leto, I will be more mindful of my words" he stated his head tilting to the side "I don't like hurting people so why would you think I would want to kill them?" he couldn't help but ask his voice innocent as he spoke on the matter showing he meant exactly what he said it's the reason he had altered his magic to be how it was. Advent turned to face the enemy and waved happily "Hi, we're here to do a job could you give us directions because given those weapons you're obviously not smart enough to be the ones we want" he said honestly sighing as he heard the crashing he had taken notice that Aiyana had requested that they just put them down and walk away but like he thought they where idiots who wanted a fight.

Advent blinked feeling the cold snap followed closely with heat, he guessed this was Aiyana's magic but for now this wasn't the time to stop to ask questions given how he felt her charge forward and knock them out with ease "Yuui is scouting ahead but I will keep my ears open and my feet watching" he said contently walking slowly forward towards the door leaning against the frame humming quietly in his head allowing Aiyana to deal with binding those behind them. "Yuui says there's something strong person at the end of the corridor and he has a few helping hands that don't seem to be a walk in the park" he admitted.

While tying up the ten, Aiyana would finally get to answer the questions that the boy had asked as well as talk some more. "Well, they are like parents. It's a close simile for it, at least. They're like our parents, but only with magic. If they say it's okay, it's okay. Even if we think it's not okay. Same for things that are bad, and neutral." The Magic Council was not something Aiyana saw eye-to-eye with, ever, but they were the ones in charge so she tried to at least follow their whims to a point. "As for the size thing. Sometimes the buildings set upon a large amount of land. If it's already developed above ground it's sometimes easier to dig underneath and build a larger part of the building beneath the surface. It keeps the above ground area looking decent and keeps from cluttering and making eyesores. It's mostly for looks, that's all." With that said Aiyana would finish tying them up and look in the direction that Advent was passing along to him as second-hand information. Yuui, one of the 'family' members that followed her mentee around, was letting them know that a stronger being was down the corridor alongside some lackies that were hanging out with him.

"All right Advent, I'm going to let you walk in first. Want to see you do something so we can figure out how to get you to learn to better control your abilities and improve yourself." With that said she would walk silently in the direction given until she could hear them, the nine tailed fox swishing her tails and shuffling her feet so that Advent could know where she was standing in regards to himself and that which was around them.

Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers Empty Re: Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers

Post by Hania 6th September 2017, 2:52 pm

Advent looked to Aiyana as she continued trying to explain the magic council, he still didn't see the point in it personally but then due to his isolation everything was quite black and white with very little room for grey but he guess it would make sense given that it was a large nation he was now on and if there wasn't unified rules then chaos would ensue and it would just bring around destruction and death which was something that everyone could do without. "I guess it makes sense, they wouldn't approve of my magic even if I'm a good person my magic is bad" he confessed touch the long runes up his arm listening to the eerie call that came with them being touched the colour changing "I'm never using you so you can shut up" he said to the markings, it was something he didn't want to admit but he was scared of his own magic given he knew what it could not only to other people but to himself if not kept in check.

Hearing what the other said he nodded "Makes sense that, if everything was on one floor then it would take forever to get places" he said with a smile showing he understood why things where set on different levels, he could only imagine trying to walk from one side of Magnolia to the other if everything was on the same level "That would take days" he sighed rubbing the back of his head, before he clicked on to the task he had just been given and walked toward the door his hand moving almost if he was looking for something but it was more he was seeing just how wide the corridor was because it could hinder what he could do and that was the last thing he needed that was for sure. "You don't need to shuffle your feet you know, I can feel the vibrations through the ground when you walk normally failing that I can feel the ripples in the air" he said so she would know he could discern the difference between people.

Moving down the corridor his head tilted to the side "Matray twelve" Ayu commented his Fiore like many of the others quite broken but he was at least trying so Aiyana could understand exactly what he was meaning "Got it, abilities?" he said calmly "Figure out" Yuui huffed crossing his arms "This trial" he continued not wanting to speak in the broken language but would at least try follow suit since Aiyana was giving up her time to at least teach him. Advent chewed the inside of his cheeks "The place might not be big enough" he said with a shrug as he took moved into the starting movement of one of his spells he instantly went silent though singing seemed to appear out of nowhere the tone gentle as he activated the soft harmony knowing that it would instantly calm the enemy making them slower and weaker if they did strike. His right leg making a crescent as it slid behind him his left arm following suit has he started slowly dancing the calm tone of the harmony now having a whispering undertone as he changed the views of those in front of him into believing that they where not people they had seen before his movements becoming more manic as the dance continued Advent himself started to hear the whispers knowing that the enemy would also start hearing them between this and the harmony he knew that the twelve priests that where at the end of the corridor would end up knocking themselves out so it would save them the trouble but continued the dance none the less to make sure of it, he hated the whispers and knew the longer this spell continued the longer it would effect his mind thus the more corrupting it would become to him but he had no choice

Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers Empty Re: Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers

    Post by Cr1tikal 28th September 2017, 3:33 am

The scene before her was...interesting to say the least. The guardian spirit that spoke in the language of Fiore, although extremely poorly, even though Aiyana could easily understand any kind of language spoken to her if they gave her the chance to let it translate in her brain for a few paragraphs of it spoken or written. The singing voice was soothing to Aiyana, though she liked just about any singing that held a decent tune and wasn't some tone-deaf being trying to get on every person's nerves that were around them. The dance from Advent was graceful and beautiful to watch and seemed to be a part of the spells he was using. What happened next seemed to make his spell seem to either be a perception based spell, or a mind control spell. Some of the priests before them began to fight each other before six of them were knocked unconscious.

While she wished to be able to stay and see how he handed the rest, Aiyana felt a mass of more people further up ahead and all of them seemed to be alert to the situation going on where the Mentor and Student were a currently. "I am truly sorry Advent, but I need to run ahead and deal with the others that have been alerted to us before it gets too far out of hand for us to handle." The woman would speak these words loud enough for him to hear them before she bolted off ahead to meet a large group of the weaker beings of the cult.

The underlings that came towards her were no match for even the basic Aura that was around Aiyana as their attacks simply struck the cosmic barrier around her before they fell victim to the burning and freezing of her aura of frostfire around her. The twelve bodies would hit the ground, their lives still ongoing but unable to stay awake any longer for now, as the woman fought off a scared batch of ten followers that found that their attacks had trouble breaking through her barrier and added shields as well. The Celestial Spirit's magic was made to be a fast attrition magic. She burned out your magic power while remaining untouched through the use of mobility and barriers to keep herself in combat by using the magic power she siphoned from those she stole from. It was a near perfect system, considering she also had powerful healing spells plus the ability to take on a cosmic elemental body to avoid physical attacks for a time.

Once the large mob was taken care of she would walk into a room that held two of the same person. One was clearly a doppelganger, given away by the magical senses she had on hand, while the real one was bound and clearly beaten though still conscious. "Well, it's pretty clear you guys want to just fight so I'll give you one chance to give up. After that, you're being taken down and turned in. A doppelganger will do SO well in the magical prison the Magic Council will put you in." The words were barely out of her mouth before the armor-clad 'Franklin' copy charged her with his massive hammer. If this was a bedroom moment it would have been sexy, especially with a hammer THAT big, but this was a fight and the wrong kind of hammer. The armored figure swung down hard where the nine-tailed fox was standing, only to find himself pulverizing the ground where she had been while feeling a chill behind him as her burst from the teleport struck him even as she let loose a ring of frostfire that froze his feet to the ground. With his hammer being in the ground, the copy would draw an axe and swing it at Aiyana only to have it get caught in the hook of her khopesh before she put a palm against his chest and released the flaming ice beam that would drain all of his magic power and cause the monster to revert to its base for before falling to the ground in an unconscious heap. "All right. Time to get Advent, hopefully he dealt with that first whole group so we can deal with the final large batch at the same time." The woman would go back to get Advent, hoping he proved her right, so that she could go with him to deal with the last part of the cult so they could go out and enjoy normal teaching and life again.

Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers Empty Re: Aiyana, Advent, and the Doppleharglers

Post by Hania 3rd January 2018, 9:03 pm

Advent continued to dance his mesmerising dance entwining it in the beautiful harmony that accompanied it, to him this was just part of his life and there was nothing that could be done about it regardless of how he felt on the matter. Once the next six priests had been taken out he wanted to groan as more had arrived but knew if he did it would break his magic so continued to dance sending the twelve against themselves where six more had been taken out. He couldn't help but yawn as he continued it wasn't that he was overly tired but more that he was bored with the goings on as he stopped. "I understand, I'll catch up as soon as I deal with these morons." he explained before yawning once more "Not a word, I know what you lot are thinking!" he said pulling up his sleeved arm "See, no corruption... I'm fine." he was huffy knowing that was the one thing that they always worried about but he was always careful not to go overboard as it could end up with him going to the island of requiem where people like him never returned. He didn't understand his magic fully but he did understand enough that he knew that he had been cursed not once but twice by his magic and there was nothing he could do about it but smile and accept it.

"Shoo, shoo!" he called to his tutor petting at her tails as she passed "So floofy! Why don't I have tails? Would be so nice to curl into." he said to himself but flinched as he felt himself be hit on the back of the head "Concentrate." Takara said calmly knowing he was getting distracted, it was enough for him to smile and nod to what was being told to him "Okay, I'll deal with people, yes, yes..." his tone showing signs of irritation as he looked towards the last six "Given I've just taken out eighteen of you without laying a finger on any of you..." he said happily as he skipped down the hall stopping at the unconscious mages making the six still conscious run off "Oops.. sorry just let me squeeze past you" he said starting just to walk over them as if they where fleshy rugs "Don't look at me like that, they're the ones just lying around." he said honestly, in the youth's mind if they hadn't have tried to attack them then they wouldn't be getting stepped on. "Leto, deal with them.. pretty please?" with that a woman with dark hair wearing white and black ninja garb appeared throwing shurikan and the six fleeing mages hitting each with deadly proficiency, not to kill but to paralyse them. Once this was done Leto faded and advent began to hop passed them to try find his teacher once more.
