Broken and Beaten. (The return of the lost beast)

Where was he?
Who was he?
What was his story?

He didn’t remember anything, only that he had broken away from that place and they had tortured him, but he couldn’t remember how long or for why. All he knew was he had endured so much pain and he couldn’t explain why. However, he was free now, as he had managed to break free while one of his random torture seasons. He had managed to shift his body into lightning just as they went to grab him. He wasn’t sure how he did it, but he did.

Once he was out he ran for his life and once again he had managed to shift into lightning and was so confused but he didn’t care because he was getting away. As he shot through the air he had no clue where he was going but he seemed to be heading somewhere almost naturally.

After an amount of time he was no longer aware of he finally landed and shifted from his lightning form right in front of a large building he didn’t know. However, before he could even make it to the door to try and see if anyone was here to explain where he was he began to feel faint and just as he reached out to try and touch the door he fell to his knees and blacked out as he fell into a lump on the ground just outside of the Infinity Hydra guildhall.

Hiro's demon Oni had spent yet another day bickering at me, which made the poor mage tired out. He was sitting near some of the cliffs near the guild hall, his home. It was a nice place to meditate, the breeze blowing on him. His friend GL had finally grown accustomed to the idea of meditating and had become a mini pro at it as well. It was then something caught Hiro's eye, a sort of unnatural type of lightning. It flashed above, causing the samurai's gaze to shift to the sky. He followed it as fast as he could before he noticed it slammed just in front of Infinity Hydra.

GL, what was that? he asked his little paper friend. The mache just shrugged it's shoulders, not really understanding the situation either. The samurai bolted towards his hall, hoping that no damage was caused when he noticed a strange sight. A man was laying unconscious at the doorway, something he had never seen before. GL is he breathing?! Hiro asked, worry in his voice. The paper quickly flew towards the man, putting his little head on his chest. GL then transformed into a large thumbs up. The samurai gave a sigh of relief, happy to know the man wasn't dead. However, he knew he must act fast. Practically kicking open the door Hiro shouted into his guild hall, hoping someone, anyone was listening. HELP!! THERE'S AN UNCONSCIOUS MAN OUTSIDE!

Sitting atop The roof of Infinity Hydra, Ardere found himself in a meditative state. He did this quite often these days, as he had a lot of time to think and contemplate. For once the forces of evil were not pressuring him to act, but he was sure they would rise soon again. Regardless, he wanted to enjoy this free time by relaxing as much as he could. He had spent so much time focusing on getting stronger and protecting his guild, that he forgot to enjoy the little things. Taking a deep breath, the breeze flowed though his hair and red yukata. After some time meditating, a familiar scent crossed his lips.

Hearing the voices and smelling the scents, the guild master could tell something was amiss. Grabbing his sword Clarent, he slid it between his robes and the sash tying them together. Leaping from the roof, he kicked off from each foot hold he could find until he landed in front of the guild hall. His eyes widened a bit when he saw the beaten and battered Wolfe before him. During their last encounter he seemed fine, something must have happened during his absence. Sliding in, he noticed the members trying to help him. Leaning down, the samurai picked up his old friend. Thank you, but we need to get him to the first aid office. It was at times like this that he wished his former love had not abandoned him, she would have been able to take care of the lightning mage like it was nothing. Burdring forward, he utilized his full speed, which would appear as a slight blur to the other members. Dashing into the first aid office adjacent to the tavern, he sat the man down on the table. The other members like Kenji and Hiro were more than welcome to join, but time was of the essence, hence his swiftness. It seemed the healing efforts made by the other mage were not in vain, but he let RAINE and the guild nurse take over from here, hoping to better find the source of his injuries. It was ironic that Wolfe would be the one, but that did not matter now.

Jozuma recently woke up from a nap after a completed mission with his new team. They had done well and Jozuma was feeling pretty good at this time as he had found new friends in the guild and has become much stringer himself. He walking around the guild when he saw something move very fast past him into the other room. "The heck was that?" Jozuma had a puzzled look on his face could barely even catch what it was and only could make out a red blur. He looked up the see the sign above the room say "First Aid" and 1 and 2 clicked together in his head. Jozuma ran into the room to see a strange man writhing on the operating table with a nurse and RAINE trying to treat his severe wounds. The nurses were seeming to have some difficulty though, The man seemed to be shifting into and out of lightning. Jozuma could see that the bursts of lightning seemed to be random and sporadic. Being a user of a variant of lightning magic himself, Jozuma was familiar with what was happening and acted quickly. "He's unstable, he needs an outlet now!" Jozuma ran to the operating table then electrified his arm and grabbed the arm of the man hoping he could take in some of the lightning and act as a buffer, he was sorely mistaken. The lightning ended up overcharging Jozuma's arm as it transferred over singeing his skin more and more as he held it. "Gh-ah!" Jozuma was in pain but kept a tight grip as the nurse went to work. Jozuma turns to see Ardere in the room as well. "Hey, lobster man, this guy's magic is beyond me I won't be able to do this for very long he needs to be grounded so the lightning has somewhere to go. If we don't the nurse won't be able to heal his wounds properly." Jozuma continued to hold his grip as long as he could hoping he would be relieved soon.

Wolfe came in and out as he was being taken care of by the members of Infinity Hydra that had come across him since passing out on the door step of the guildhall. He could hear their voices but couldn’t make out exactly what they were saying. He felt so weak and all he could feel was pain, didn’t seem to go away. Even when he eyes where closed all he saw was scenes of the most recent torture he had received. All he knew was he wanted the pain to stop and to rest without fear.

It wasn’t until Jozma grabbed Wolfe that anything really started to help. With Wolfe being an elemental, normal healing wasn’t going to really work on him, and magic healing did work, but his element was what really worked wonders on him. At first Jozuma was trying to ground Wolfe and release extra lightning from Wolfe but then his body started to react to him touching Wolfe and began to sap lightning from Jozuma. As it did it would keep trying to suck more from Jozuma and with bit he did Wolfe would slowly start to stop shifting in and out of lightning form and stabilize.

It wouldn’t drain Jozuma too much, but it would be enough to make him feel weak and after a few Wolfe would finally slowly open his eyes. After a few moments he didn’t even bother to move but he did muster enough strength to ask two questions “Where am I? and who am I?” For someone like Ardere the first question might not concern him, but the second was another thing all together. Wolfe was still a little to weak to move.

Hiro barely had enough to react to the situation. One moment there was a man he never knew on the ground, now he was in the First Aid ward. When Ardere had come to pick up this strange electric man, he tried his best to keep up. His guild mate, Kenji was beside him, the first to react to his plea for help. He shot him strange glances, trying to see if Kenji possibly knew this man. However there was no time to stay and ask for he had to keep up.

GL quickly perched himself on Hiro's shoulder, taking in the distress around him. When Hiro had finally arrived to ward, he could see various sparks of light and electricity. Was that streak of lightning...him? There's no way...right? Questions danced around the samurai's mind before he finally heard the man spoke. He barely moved but Hiro could understand his words. This was a matter of the guild master, for it seemed they had some history together, or maybe Hiro was reading too far into it.

I'll keep watch outside Sensei, Hiro gave a small bow in Ardere's direction before walking outside the ward, and placing himself up against wall, his hand near the hilt of his sword just in case. If the man had been so injured, perhaps someone, or something, was after him. Even if he did not know the man they were on Infinity Hydra property now which made him a guest and Hiro would always protect those in need.

Holding his old friends should, a surge went through his body. For moment, all of his nerves felt shot, but he overcame it. The combination of the nurse and Jozuma was enough to heal Wolfe, but at the cost of energy from both parties. Ardere gritted his teeth and motioned for everyone to move back. Thanks guys, but give him some room to breathe. RAINE, finish your scan. Nurse, if you have the strength, make sure Jozuma is alright as well. Moving a bit closer to the lightning mage, he could not help but feel a familiar magical presence from his wounds. He would confirm with their AI, but for now he had to console the man.

Shocked at the apparent memory loss, Ardere bit the inside of his cheek. Your name is Wolfe, and we're your friends. You've been injured, but we're here to help. Stepping off to the side, he read the report on their guild member's injuries. It was unfortunate, but the fire mage was right. The lightning he had been attacked with could only come from one place, an old enemy he thought was gone. Taking a deep breath, he turned his attention to Wolfe. We're gonna help you. Taking the nurse aside, he questioned her about his memory loss, but it did not look good. The loss could be temporary, but there was a high likely that they were looking at something more permanent. The guild was at quite a loss, but at least he was alive.

The man's had drained Jozuma a good amount and he felt rather light headed. Jozuma let go of the man's arm and took a seat in a nearby chair. The man woke up seemingly well and spoke but Jozuma could not make out the words as his hearing was slightly impaired. The nurse then turned her attention to Jozuma and tried to help out his condition ans RAINE continued to work.

The man had seemingly recovered and Ardere walked up and started speaking with him. Jozuma could still not make out the words but his guildmaster seemed very familiar with this person though the didn't seem like the man knew him. After a short while Jozuma's condition started to improve and Ardere took the nurse to the side and started asking questions to her, Jozuma's hearing recovered a little but he could only make out a few words which were "Wolfe" and "memory loss". Jozuma looked turned his head towards the man operating table. "Wolfe huh?" Jozuma was still unsure what was going on but clearly there was a story here.

Wolfe watched and listened as each of the people around him talked and tried to help. He had gathered from the small amount said to him so far that he was in some guildhall for a group called Infinity Hydra, and that his name was Wolfe. He also gathered from the statements that he was known to some people here, and he had friends here. However, he was just overwhelmed with everything right now, he could barely sort through the possibilities.

Wolfe finally after a few sat up and swung his legs over the edge of the table as he sat there. He looked down at his shirt he was wearing, and noticed it was covered in tears and holes, and was singed all over. It was at this moment that he noticed a part of a marking on his skin, and he pulled his hands up and ripped the part of his shirt that covering it to reveal a tattoo. He wasn’t 100% sure to make of it, but out of the corner of his eye he noticed that some of the others in the room also had this mark. So it was true, and he was from this place. However, he couldn’t remember, and as he tried to he got a second flash that consisted of a few flashes of memory, and in one of them there was a flash of the man standing in front of him, and deep in the pit of his stomach he got the feeling as if he had a deeper bond with them man.

The pain, however, was too much and his whole body shook and and his hands fell into his lap palms up. As he tried to hold back from crying out in pain he looked down and saw what started out as small arcs of lightning arcing off his finger tips and slowly covering his whole hand. Wolfe wasn’t able to control his powers right now because he didn’t even know he had them, or how they worked, he only knew he was started to get scared as he had no clue what was happening to him. All he could do muster out ”Why?.. I don’t understand…” Wolfe slowly looked up and at Ardere as his eyes started to spark and turn yellow as he was still not sure how to control himself, and a single tear rolled down his right cheek as a whisper came from his mouth ”…help…me…” the sound barely a whisper, but the plea was louder than any scream. Wolfe was lost and needed help.
