Marianna † Guildless † D-Rank
Humans were often selfish and foolish, as they allowed themselves to be completely blinded by emotions. To be controlled by something so basic and often useless, how could they even call themselves dominators of this world? There was truly not even that much of a point thinking about it. Marianna simply went along with the desires of said humans, for that was necessary right now. In order to properly regain her powers, she had to go around and feed on the despair of humanity, it's bitter taste filling her veins slowly with each step she took. Even today, she would grow closer to her goal of attain absolution and getting back what was hers to have.
Simply walking on the soft dirt, uncaring if she was to trample any crops, the vampire held an unlit torch in her hand. And in the other one, an ignition lacrima which was ready for use. Only the night's moon illuminated her way on the farm, not that she truly needed it. The golden hue of her eyes was piercing the darkness on it's own as her orbs darted from one palce to another, eventually resting the gaze on a single house nearby. That was where this Mr. Jenkins lived it seemed. Well, probably not for much longer. Clutching the crimson red crystal in her hand, it was not long before she moved it over to the torch and lit it.
Even moving it close to the crops was enough to set the dry vegetation ablaze, flames quickly spreading to all which was growing around. Flames could easily be the tool of devastation, nature's consuming force that devoured all in it's way. And now, it was ready to swallow this place whole. As a final straw in this messy hell, she threw to torch at the house, it's wooden frame getting stuck on the roof made out of nothing but loose straws. Smoke that most could not breathe in quickly filled the entire area as a sturdy figure emerged from the building, confusion and panic setting in.
"What the hell...? Who?! Who did this, show yourself!"
His screams would echo into the night as a shadowy figure slowly formed behind him, turning corporeal from it's mist-like form. One strike to the back of his head with the sword's hilt was enough to knock the man out. She could have killed him, but decided against it. After all, he could easily be consumed by the flames just as the rest of this place. An unfortunate accident truly. But that was left to the will of gods themselves. Perhaps they would be merciful on this fateful night, letting him live for another day. Albeit without even a single crop left standing. Marianna's employer ought to be content with this much.
So as the landscape slowly turned charred, her cloaked figure continued on walking out of here at a leisurely pace, as if she was not bothered by none. And indeed she wasn't. It was but another job well done. And even though she just destroyed someone's livelihood, she was not afraid of the consequences. A vampire with the blood of Elder gods flowing through her, who in her position would be? Fear itself was almost foreign concept for the girl, as she did not quite remember it from the times of old when she actually felt it. With a click of a tongue, she covered her head in the hoodie and left.
