Mia didn't usually go crazy over technology, as there was nothing that ever caught her eye. Watches that could keep track of your heart rate? Useless. Phones that could allow you to talk to people? She didn't like talking to most people face to face, why would she want to talk to them when they weren't around her too? Technology was for fools who lived the privileged life and didn't know the meaning of a hard day's work.
However, there was something that grabbed her attention while she was looking through the pages of the most recent Sorcerer's Weekly issue she found upon one of the guild’s tables. A newfangled cell phone that allowed multiple, fun and easy apps for the user. An Ilac. At first glance Mia had almost written it off as new money magnets for the youth of today. But finally, there was something in a cell phone that she wanted. Not a calculator, nor the hp and mana reader or even the games. It turned out food companies had their own apps for easy ordering and delivery, making them more accessible than the normal phoning them up or going to the place themselves. With just a tap of a finger she could order whatever she wanted. Not just food either, though that was her main reason for being excited to get an Ilac. But anything else she wanted. Toys, jewelry, clothes, anything. No longer would she have to endure going up to a counter and being judge for buying something weird! She could order whatever she wanted and have it delivered, she wouldn't even have to get up! And you know what else that meant? Fish! As much fish as she could ever want, all at her fingertips.
Maybe the convenience of the youth did have its good things...
Seeing this she ran out to Neutral Grounds as fast as she could, wanting to get one before they ran out. She took a long time in the store, constantly getting distracted by all the other technology stuff within the store. Having grown up on the streets she never got to experience the wonders of this kind of stuff before. She always thought of this kind of stuff as stupid, seeing only arrogant rich people carrying them around like little toys. But there was something about it now that she stood before all this cleanly cut plastic and metal in person as a customer, it was weirdly fascinating. It came in every size, every color, every everything.
Having orange as her favorite color she picked that.
She exited through the glass doors, lifting the thin Ilac up to the sky to examine it. “Pretty~” the feline purred.
“It looks cheap… Wonder what would happen if i threw it down the stairs…” Neko cooed within her mind, causing the metal mage to twitch and annoyed ear, bringing the Ilac down to her chest protectively. You never knew with Neko after all. He could be serious, or joking. It was apart of his damn youkai nature. Either way, she wasn’t going to let this out of her sight for a while… Just in case.
