    Job Details:

    Part One: Reunited

The early dawn light that rested on the once thriving city had been left behind the Sabertooth Wizards Mashyuu and Itsu. Both had seen better days and both were tired from a night of seemingly endless battles. Mashyuu's brown gi had been torn to shreds but he managed to keep the book that Mefitis the goddess that had resided inside of Mashyuu told him to take. He knew that the old tomb wrapped in what felt like blue flesh held forbidden magic that a mortal shouldn't know but with the guidance of a goddess Mashyuu was sure he could manage. His sword, the Kingmaker, still rested in his red belt, if barely. And his body was covered in cuts that his healing magic had managed to keep under control but he would for sure need some medical attention. Itsu wasn't doing much better, her dress, ripped as ever was fine but she had one massive bruise going down the entire left side of her body, from head to toe and her bones had been cracked. The only reason she had been walking was because Mashyuu managed to heal her before the damage could get worse for her.

As noon hit, Mashyuu and Itsu weakly walked into the city of Ace of Spades, when his ring, the one that was still on his finger pulsed with sudden life. Mashyuu's eyes went wide, it hadn't done that ever. Something had changed, it reacted to the fact that Kanix was alive and close. Mashyuu didn't say a word, he just broke off in a break neck speed. feeling the wind blowing the same direction he was running the Wizard exploded and formed into sand, letting the wind carry him across the city, leaving Itsu behind and confused. "WHy does he do that every time he gets worried?" The green haired woman with the ram skull on her head asked...

The sand that was Mashyuu reformed about a mile away from the bar also called Ace of Spades. "I don't know what happened but I swear I won't let anything happen to you." The wizard growled through gritted teeth. His body leaned forward as his heavy foot falls picked up speed, he removed his ring and shoved it in his pocket, allowing for his dual slayer enhanced speed to carry him through the rest of the city with almost no effort. As he drew closer to the building below the guild he stopped running, letting his own speed carry him in a slide to a body that was lumped on the ground outside of the bar. He wasn't sure, the shock white hair threw him off, as did the blue markings running down the body, but his heart knew. It would always know. Mashyuu used his geokenisis and made a large flat bed of dirt to raise Kanix up off the ground and safely roll her to her back while he slowly drew closer to her. He had seen too many dead people back in his life lately to be completely trusting. First Itsu, then his Mom and Ux, now Kanix. Nothing made sense. And why did she look different? Could she see? Mashyuu wasn't sure.

Itsu rounded the corner of a tall building and stopped to Mashyuu's left, panting for air. "Mashyuu! Kidnapping women isn't how to go about getting dates!" She scolded him, and for the first time outside of a fight or job he gave her a dark look, making the woman shrink back from fear of what might happen. "Itsu, this is my wife...I don't remember much but I remember loving her so much that I literally died trying to keep her safe. I failed her, my daughter, and the girl that Kanix adopted. Now our daughter is gone, I can't find her... and the one that Kanix adopted blames me for her death. Yet here she is, looking different just like me but my heart and soul knows this is her." Mashyuu gently scooped Kanix up into his arms, cradling her head on his chest and walked into the bar, he pushed past other guild mates and team members, not saying a word as he made is way around the corner and approached a dark blue lacrima at the back corner of the bar. Itsu slowly followed behind, making sure to give her friend and teammate some space.

Once in his room Mashyuu gently laid Kanix on his bed and placed his book on a night stand along with his sword on the mantle above his fireplace. Then he rushed off to get a warm towel and rested it on her forehead. He changed into a pair of black jeans ripped at the knees, matching mid calf high boots with silver toed steel. A red tee shirt, black and gold vest and black fingerless gloves. He sat at his wife's side and held her hand, gently kissing it and found it impossible to hold back the tears that streamed from his face, swelling it with redness. "Please be okay...."

She could feel everything around her, yet her body refused to let her move just a bit to get herself on her back. It wasn't her choice to simply lay there on the ground and hope for the best, it was just how her body gave up. Too weak to do anymore walking or any sort of movement, her body had given up and collapsed upon the ground. Her mind was still active, still running around frantically trying to find out what it was that caused her to fall. Yet, that too was slowly beginning to give up, stop working, and eventually shut down to keep her safe from the world. Kanix wanted to cry, to call for help, to do something to let anyone know she was here, but her body refused. So, she lay there in a sprawled out mess of white hair and oddly blue clothing, praying someone from Sabertooth would find her.

The ring on her finger pulsated, her hazy, blue eyes shifting downward to stare at where her hand rest by her face. She could sense each pulsation as they radiated from her finger faintly, but grew stronger as though something was nearing her. Kanix didn't have the strength to wonder what it was or why her ring was reacting the way that it was now. Her gaze wandered away from the pulsations, staring into the emptiness that was her vision of the world. A soft, almost inaudible, sigh left her lips, her fingers lightly curling as she aimed to regain her strength back. Yet, each movement she made was just as weak as the previous one, no sort of betterment of her movements from last time. At this point, she was ready to give up, ready to close her eyes again and wish the world away, just temporarily.

Heavy footfalls echoed into her ears and a shiver ran down her spine, a haunting feeling of something bad aching at her mind. They grew ever closer to where she was, but they didn't stop; in fact, they changed from running to skidding across the ground. The wind created by the person's movements caused her hair to flutter about her, tickling at her bare back and face. Most of the white that covered her face blocked her senses from completely knowing who it was that was by her. She could hear his heavy breathing, his mutterings to himself, but couldn't quite figure out who it was that was there. Her ring still heavily pulsated, feeling like a weight pressing into her hand with him so near by her as he was. Just who was he and why was her ring reacting to him? Where did she even get the ring that was on her finger?

The ground seemingly shifted below her and in a few seconds, the feel of the sun bearing down upon her back was gone. Instead, it bore upon her stomach, meaning the person near her had done something to roll her onto her back. She was thankful for that, and she opened her eyes, despite being unable to see what surrounded her right now. Low murmuring entered her ears again, but it was quickly disrupted by a woman's much louder voice than his. He answered the other woman though, telling her exactly who she was to this woman and why she was important to him. Kanix heard him say something about her being his wife, but she couldn't ever recollect being with this man long enough to be married to him. Supposedly, she even had two daughters as well, but the only child she knew of was her son, who was still missing.

She felt calloused hands move under her and lift her up, but her body was too weak to allow her to wrap her arms around him. When she was placed in his body, however, that's when she was able to find the strength to speak at least a little bit. "You're awfully brave to claim we were married and had children," Kanix responded in a hoarse voice, a strangled chuckle following. "I don't know who you are, but I appreciate what you've done for me; I probably would've rotted there before anyone found me." Though if what he said was all truth about them having once been together, why was she not able to recollect it? A frown creased her lips at the thought and she turned her head away from Mashyuu, so her senses were blocked of him. "If what you said it true, I am sorry that I do not remember, but the only I child that I have is Ahote. . . and he's missing."

He should have expected that Kanix wouldn't remember anything. He barely remembered anything when pulled himself out of that shallow grave. The man frowned but understood, he looked at the ground and gently spoke. "You're welcome. Stay here for a while, I don't want anything to happen to you that might get you hurt. Oh and your son was last seen as a member of Basilisk Fang. It's a guild for dark wizards. Sort of the opposite of this place." Mashyuu explained. He was hurt that Kanix couldn't remember him, even in death the man remembered his wife, the person he vowed to keep safe and love until he passed away, and he did just that. Now she couldn't remember him and he wasn't sure if helping her remember him was such a good idea. This was her chance to start over again, maybe live a life without constant danger he wasn't even sure if she could use her magic anymore. Why put her in some sort of peril that she didn't need to be a part of?

Mashyuu stood up and pulled his blade off the mantle above the fireplace and slipped it into his belt loop. "I'll be back in a few hours to make sure you're okay, don't go walking around the place alone. Someone might take you for an intruder and attack or something." Mashyuu warned Kanix and motioned for Itsu to follow him. Itsu rushed after the man and looked him over to make sure he was feeling okay. "That's your wife! You can't just leave her like this." Mashyuu shrugged his shoulders and rounded a corner of the guild, heading for a flight of steps that led down to the lacrima that teleported. "She doesn't remember me. I'm not gonna force anything on her. I'd rather her be happy without having to deal with me and the danger my life brings." Mashyuu ended the talk there and grabbed the lacrima, teleporting back to the bar.

As he appeared in the bar the boy who brought the guild job notices came running through the bar with a single flyer in his small hand. Mashyuu reached out and caught the boy before he could enter the guild hall. "Give it here. I'll take the job." He demanded of the child. The boy sighed and handed Mashyuu the paper then turned and walked out of the bar. Mashyuu's sky blue eyes rolled over the notice and his hand crumpled the paper. "Itsu, it's that Necromancer, he's going to hurt someone soon. Lets go!" He shouted and sprinted out of the bar, headed for Lavanitir Port City.

It was strange to hear from another person where her son was located and just exactly where he happened to be. The news was overbearing in a way because she had assumed he had simply gotten lost in the forest a little while ago. To hear that Ahote had managed to get inside of her previous guild, that was something she wasn't sure to be proud of or not. Her sightless eyes cast down to the blanket that covered her, and instead of listening to Mashyuu, she peeled it away from herself and stood up. Despite being weak and frail from the resurrection still, she wasn't going to let that hinder her in doing things. If she could stand on her own two feet and walk, she had no reason to sit on her ass and wait to recover from something that didn't affect her. "Do not try to order me around," the stout woman snarled under her breath, stumbling away from his bed and toward his door.

She paused at his door and let out a sigh, opening it and stepping out into the guild hall, being hit instantly with an array of strengths. It didn't bother her in the least bit, she was used to it back at the Fairy Tail guild hall, but it was strange to feel again. Pushing past people, Kanix made her way down to the first floor of the guild and out to where she would be able to leave. Kanix had nothing against the guild; in fact, she had first come here a while back when she had been pregnant with Amaia. That was something she did remember; she remembered being brought to the guild under the digression of. . . Mashyuu. The woman picked up her pace and started dashing through the streets of Ace of Spades, following the trail he had left behind. He was going to Lavanitir Port City for some reason, but that was a bit of information she hadn't been allowed to see.

Lavanitir Port City was a lot stranger than she remembered it to be; actually, it looked to be entirely different than she remembered. The city was completely desolate of people, like it had been evacuated for some ungodly reason or another. The emptiness in the air was what concerned Kanix more than anything else and the fact no sense of magic could be felt. Yet, the soft groans of the undead emitted in the air and the bark and calls of demons followed after them, like they were instructing them. A frown appeared on Kanix's lips and she wandered into the depths of the city, pushing past all of the meandering undead. They seemed harmless enough, she doubted that they would intentionally hurt her if she was just wandering through here. But something told her this was not a place for her to be because the inkling of feeling she got was a terribly bad one at that.

Her fingers twitched and itched for some reason, curling and uncurling into the palms of her hands over and over again. She felt her eyes were seeing things when the only thing she was able to see were the silhouettes of the undead. A tingling sensation crawled over her body and she let out a whine of terror as she passed undead and demon after another. Something was here inside of the city, something that was strong and powerful that even she could not defy it. Kanix's eye twitched and her head snapped a little in one direction, her nose wrinkling as she tried to discern everything around her. The feeling called out to her, beckoned for her to follow it and unwillingly, her feet began to move toward the sensation. Who or what it was, she did not know, but for some odd reason, she wanted to be wherever that feeling happened to be.

All thought had been drowned out from her mind and a single word spun 'round and 'round in her head like a spin cycle. "Master. . ."

The Olympians presents: Streams of Memory! Empty Re: The Olympians presents: Streams of Memory!

The still waters of Lavanitir Port City softly spread as two heads came up from the water, Mashyuu and Itsu decided to swim their way to the town, avoiding any guards who might have been effected by the necromancer when he decided to show up in town. Mashyuu climbed up onto one of the wooden docks, his hands clutching the wood tightly so that Itsu could climb up his body. She drew her dagger from under the short sleeve of her dress and sprang up, digging the weapon into the back of a zombie, yanking as hard as she could and dragged the undead into the water where she impaled its brain and left it to float down stream. The moment Itsu crashed back into the water Mashyuu sprang up and tackled a demon to the wooden dock, Mashyuu's massive forearm pressed into the neck of the demon while his free arm grasped the blade in his belt and drove it into the demon, causing it to explode in a pile of ash. Clearly catching the monsters by surprise was the best way to go about doing things here. Itsu climbed back up the wooden structure and glanced about the massive docks. In the distance there were more zombies and demons walking around as if they were indeed the ones meant to be in the town. "I think we should have come at night so we could get here by morning, not the other way around Mashyuu." Itsu whispered. "I've never been here before and I got lost on the way, forgive me for not knowing it would take all day to get to town. I'm just as hungry as you are." Mashyuu snapped back while sheathing his blade before the demons could see the golden light radiate from the weapon.

Mashyuu and Itsu weren't aware that Kanix had made her way into town too, or that she was so easily walking past the monsters as if she were always meant to be there. At least not yet...

"Where do you think the people of the town are? We need to find them and make sure they are free." Mashyuu questioned. He drew a short breath and glanced around the docks. "Summon up those skeletons of yours and see if you can pass off as a demon, walk around and I'll deal with anyone that comes around this way." Mashyuu suggested. Itsu placed her blade before her face and glared at Mashyuu. "They have names you know? Now, rise. Hewy, Dewy and Luey." Her weapon lit up with a dim red light as three skeleton soldiers, each carrying a great sword, materialized from thin air before Itsu. She smiled at the skeletons who saved her life more than once. "Okay guys, we are going for a walk around town, if something attacks me keep me safe." Itus ordered and all three soldiers started to laugh, their milk white bones rattling with the movement of their heads. The monsters escorted Itsu past the demons and out of Mashyuu's line of sight, she rounded a corner and started to explore the city.

Mashyuu watched the patrol pattern of the monsters and waited until he had a clear moment to strike. He rushed down the docks, his feet carrying him faster than a normal human should have been able to carry him. The Wizard drew his blade mid dash while sliding to line up his strike. His weapon lit up with brilliant golden power as it flared to life and was raised high above Mashyuu's head. "Kings Cleave!" He shouted and swung the weapon down, smashing the monsters, both demon and zombie with the power of his blade. The superheated sun like energy turned the five monsters to ask, lit up the docks for just a moment and faded away, leaving Mashyuu alone. The man replaced his blade and summoned up his bow, keeping it clutched in his left hand.

Slowly he wandered down an alley, and spun around a corner, placing his arrow into the back of a zombies head. He released the arrow, sending the magical bolt through the skull of the undead, dropping it in a single shot. The ring in his pocket pulsed, then again, and the pulse grew stronger with each passing moment. The Wizard sighed and looked towards the center of town. "What are you doing here Kanix? It's not safe at all."

"Follow it," a voice whispered into her ear, as though it was encouraging her to follow the feeling that ached in her bones.

"Follow the feeling," another voice murmured into her ear, lingering there for a moment before whisking away into the emptiness.

"He beckons to you; answer Master's call," a third voice breathed softly into her ear, a sweet chuckle following after it.

Kanix scrunched her eyebrows together and shook her head a little as she made her way past the undead and the demons in the streets. Her eyes flashed from their cloudy, cornflower-blue to a glowering, almost-white shade that gave off a tiny bit of light. They flickered precariously from the white to blue, as though she was trying to fight off some sort of control over her. She raised a hand to her head and rubbed her temple, squeezing her eyes shut and wishing for the headache to go away. "What is going on?" she inquired, shaking her head again and even stumbling slightly, so she fell into one of the undead. The creature let out a strangulated moan and toppled to the ground with her on top, but she quickly scooted off of it. Dusting herself off, the woman summoned her trident into her hand and rammed the sharp edges of the tongs into the undead's head.

"I don't understand what's going on," she repeated, taking a few steps back from the zombie she had just slaughtered with her trident. "Why do I not feel like myself? Why do I feel like something is here, asking for my help, but at the same time, it isn't?" She closed her eyes for a moment, still stumbling backward until again, she fell into the arms of another creature, only this time a demon. A dark chuckle left the maw of the demon and it wrapped its arms around her torso, reaching down to play with her. Not having anything from the demon, the woman slammed her trident down onto the foot of the demon, causing it to let her go. Kanix spun on her heel and lifted her trident, thrusting it upward so that it plunged through the underside of the demon's jaw and through the top of its head. "Keep your filthy hands off of me, beast," she snarled out, her eyes quickly flashing back to the glowing white they once were.

Her hand lost most of the grip that was on her trident and she stumbled backward again, eyes wildly looking around like she could see. "What is it? What is it that you wish of me?" she called out, like a voice would come to her with some sort of answer. She knew that she wouldn't get the answer that she was seeking, let alone get an answer from anyone or anything at all. After all, she as speaking to air and what spirits were around her didn't seem to want to help her out with anything at the moment. A frown creased over her lips as her eyes returned back to their cloudy, cornflower-blue, back to the sightlessness she knew. Kanix dropped to her knees, letting her trident fall to the ground with a clattering sound, her head thrown back as she let out a scream. It wasn't a scream of fear or hurt, it was a scream of frustration and anger in response to what was going on with her.

She didn't quite understand what was going on with her or why it was even happening to her in the first place. All she knew was that there was an aching in her head and she wanted it gone because it was driving her nuts at the moment. It hurt to high hell and was doing something strange to her that she couldn't explain, making her rethink everything she was doing. Was she even herself anymore or was she being controlled by some outward force that was residing here in the city? Perhaps that was what happened to all of the people in Lavanitir Port City, they were mind controlled and toyed with by someone or something. Kanix breathed in deeply after she let out the scream and fell forward, burying her face into her arms and trying to regain her own consciousness. Being in the city was messing with her more than she happened to realize and she wanted to get out, but she couldn't.

It was like she was forced to stay here in the city because something was luring her deeper and deeper inside of it. She couldn't just up and leave the place, almost as though she was somehow being held captive within the confines of Lavanitir. Breathing in deeply again, the woman reached out and grabbed her trident, using it lift herself back to her own two feet. The vibrations in the ground echoed around her and tingled at her feet, allowing her to see where everyone and everything was. Kanix could see the undead moving around and moaning for food, while the demons lunged at them to torment them or otherwise. Her ring pulsated in response to Mashyuu being here within the city, but she paid no mind to it while she listened to the vibrations. Slowly, she moved forward, heading to where the Necromancer would be, yet paused because she heard a voice beyond her.

She felt the vibrations of a person running, but she also felt the vibrations of another running off in a different direction. Kanix scrunched her eyebrows together in confusion as she heard Mashyuu call out as though he was speaking to her. Slowly, she turned around to be greeted by the magus running in her direction, trying to find where exactly she stood. What was he doing here in Lavanitir Port City? There was nothing special about this place for him to come here, was there? "What is he doing here, doesn't he realize just how uncouth and dangerous he is being by being loud and obnoxious like that? He's gonna get himself hurt running through all these undead and demons and then I'll have to save him yet again from danger. . ." Yet again. . . why had she said that? She had never saved this man before in her entire life, but her mind subconscious thought so.

    Who was he?

The Olympians presents: Streams of Memory! Empty Re: The Olympians presents: Streams of Memory!

Post by redheadedstepchild Sat 4 Mar - 18:28

Itsu and the three Skeletal soldiers walked into a tall building that had windows boarded up by wooden planks, blocking out the sun and other natural lights that would have filtered into the building. The woman whipped her dagger attached to the metal wire around in her palm, letting it build momentum as she and the Skeletons made their way into the building and shut the door behind them. "Fan out, search the building. Hewy and Dewy, take upstairs, Luey you're with me." Itsu ordered and headed down a narrow flight of steps. She stopped going down the two steps and looked back at Hewy and Dewy. "If you see any humans, get them out of the city." The two sword wielding fighters saluted Itsu and ran up a flight of steps.

Softly Itsu's bare footsteps echoed on the concrete steps as she descended down the stairs, going over a switchback flight until she was deep underground. A system of tunnels seemed to spiderweb out in various directions in the basement of the room she and Luey stood in. "These must lead to every big building in the city. How long as this been being made?" She asked. Luey clamped one of his bony hands over Itsu's mouth and motioned for her to be silent and listen instead of speaking. Even dead, the three Skeletons were fairly tactical in their thinking and had been able to pick up on subtle things going on around them.

Itsu furrowed her brow and listened, in the distance she could hear a sort of clanking. Like metal striking stone. The stone of.... the stone of the wall? Was someone currently digging down here? Itsu started to whip her dagger around and made her way towards the sound she heard. Small torches, placed in scones on the wall lit the way as she walked towards the sound the heard. Luey lead the way, being sure to follow his masters command, walking until they saw a red skinned demon, it's back turned to the pair, ordering two zombies to dig a tunnel. The tunnel was just wide enough for two zombies to work shoulder to shoulder, but they hadn't noticed Itsu or the Skeleton standing behind them. Luey dropped to a knee and readied his weapon, waiting for the right moment to strike. Itsu spun her dagger around on the cable and hurled it forward while holding the end of the cord. The dagger ripped through the throat of the demon and Itsu yanked, the Demon stumbled back while grasping at the blade. That was when Luey made his attack. He charged forward, stabbing his blade into the back of the zombies head and pulled, cleaving the top half of both zombies heads off of their faces, then with the back swing he finished chopping off the Demon's head, arched the blade around and down and took his legs out at the knee.

Meanwhile, upstairs, Hewy and Dewy were battling their way through zombie after zombie, the two had rationalized that due to how aggressive the undead were, that the top floor must be where humans were being turned into Zombies. If they had feelings then the Skeletal fighters might have felt bad, or even pity but all they knew were the orders of their master and as such decided to follow them to the letter. Working in unison, Hewy and Dewy cleaved through Zombie after Zombie until they reached the top floor, where a demon held Zombies on a chain and let the undead torment human children and women that were cowering in the corner of a room inside a cage. The Demon turned to face Hewy and Dewy, a scowl grew on his dark lips. "You aren't supposed to be here." He stated and unleashed his Zombies to attack. However being undead the zombies ran right past Hewy and Dewy, looking for fresh meat that they could actually reach. This proved that the two skeletal soldiers didn't actually need to fight the Zombies on the way up. The Demon sighed and cracked his neck while jumping on the balls of his feet, getting ready for a battle. The pair of Skeletons charged, one aiming high, the other low. Both let their swords zing through the air in an attempt to cut clean through the Demon. The Demon countered by lifting a leg up and stepping on one blade, pushing it to the floor. His hand caught the other blade and shoved it up, digging the weapon up into the roof of the building. The pair of Skeletons both acted as soon their weapons were pinned. Dewy, whose weapon was dug up into the roof, jumped up and grabbed the hilt of his blade while he swung his legs out and drove them into the demons chest, knocking the monster back a few paces. The Demon started catch himself when Hewy made a sacrifice, tackling the Demon out the window, breaking boards and glass, sending them both crashing to the ground, dead...

Mashyuu's dashed as fast as he could towards where his ring led him and in the distance he swore he saw Kanix walk away as if she were being drawn to something. With his eyes on his wife and not on the situation at hand, he almost didn't sense the demon lunging at him. Mashyuu barely managed to stop and jump to the right, avoiding a demon's grasping claw. Barely catching his footing Mashyuu twisted and looked past the demon at the horde of Zombies swiftly gaining ground on the Wizard. The blue eyed Mage glanced over his shoulder to see more zombies crowding him and a bead of sweat rolled down his forehead and a bit of worry started to settle in on him.

The Earth God dug his left hand into his pocket and slipped his wedding ring onto his finger. A magical blue water washed over him, shielding him from attacks as he readied himself for battle. He swiftly drew his blade and let it glimmer under the white moonlight. As the danger crawled upon him Mashyuu's blade flared to life with golden energy, humming dangerously. Mashyuu pulled his weapon back and felt it dig into the hip of a zombie while the demon started to run at Mashyuu. The Earth Slayer sighed and whispered. "Kings Charge." The blade pointed behind him exploded with power, propelling him towards the demon. Just before Mashyuu and the demon would have collided he pointed his weapon forward and came to a sudden stop. The demon ran straight through the hot steel of his blade as it launched a beam of pure energy from the blade, blowing back half the zombies behind the demon in one shot.

The Demon fell to his knees, missing the upper half of his body. That wasn't enough though, zombies swarmed the Wizard and nearly dragged him to the ground with their feral claws. In the dark of the night Mashyuu exploded with a bright light, golden energy flowing off him and blowing the zombies back. "Earth Gods Rock wall!" Mashyuu shouted, springing a wall up under himself to launch his body high into the air. He landed on the roof of a building and made his way for Kanix, desperate to make sure that she was safe. If the Necromancer who had been bringing back his loved ones was near, it was possible that he had brought back Kanix too.

Kanix shook her head, confused as to why Mashyuu had come all of this way from Forgotten Deserts to Lavanitir Port City. She knew that the place was overrun with undead and demonic beings, but she didn't know it was that bad that another magus had to come. If anything, she could have handled it on her own, destroyed all of the undead and the demonic, including the one controlling them. Yet, Mashyuu was here now, so there was no point in attempting to do the entire job by herself, regardless of what she thought. Since he was here, it would be certain that the other magus would try to do everything on his part to get out alive with her. That was something else she didn't quite understand; why was it that he was so attached to her when she couldn't remember who he was? What was so important about her that Mashyuu was able to remember completely who she was, but she was left with gaps in her memory?

Her eye twitched and she glanced away from Mashyuu, letting her tremor sense scan and scope out the terrain around her. She felt like something was around her, watching her every move, planning to do something with her in the end. Kanix didn't know what, but it was a feeling that crawled at her skin and made her wonder what exactly was here. Letting her gaze drop away from her surroundings, the woman listened to the scenery, to all of the moans and groans and silence. It was eerie just how silent this place was, overrun by the demons and the undead creatures by whoever controlled them. Something she didn't want to focus on, especially since there were undead here, who needed the rest they deserved. And in a way, she was undead as well, but a sinking feeling in her body crawled over her skin, causing her to shiver.

What's wrong, my child? Are you frightened by the feeling that your getting? Scared that something is going to happen to you? Don't be afraid, child. . . I have no plans of hurting you, just using you as a pawn in my game against that man before you. Do you remember who you are? Why you hold such an importance to that man or have your memories still not returned? Hm. . . I see. . . so you still are left clueless as to who you are and why that man calls you the things that he does. . . Kanix looked around, hearing the voice in her head and confusion filling her mind as to where it was coming from and by who. Don't worry about that, my love. Why don't you come to me instead? Come find me and join me in my plans to rule the world, hm? She scrunched her eyebrows together, but seemingly ignored the words that were being spoken to her far easier than she should have been.

Mashyuu's voice broke into the silence, causing the voice in her head to subside and leave her be for the time being. She blinked and turned in his direction, tilting her head a little so that her ears caught sound of the man running toward her. Kanix could've sworn he had a look of confusion on his face, mixed with concern as to why she was here of all places. All that she knew was that she had a feeling that had brought her here, one that she couldn't quite ignore for some reason. "I don't know," she answered no one truthfully, a sorrowful look crossing over her face as she stared back at Mashyuu. "I don't understand what brought me here; it was just a feeling that I couldn't ignore no matter how hard I tried to. It scared me a bit, still scares me. . . I don't understand this feeling, I don't get why my body brought me here to Lavanitir. . ."

He fought off demon after demon and undead after undead in order to get to where she was in all of her confusion. "I don't understand what's going on," she continued to mumble on about, her gaze dropping down to her feet. "I don't understand who you are or why I can't remember who you are and why you are so important to me. . . It scares me that I don't know anything that I believed myself to know; it scares me that I don't know who I am." She turned toward Mashyuu fully, a streak of red running down the left side of her face where the missing eye had been. However, now she had both her eyes again, a result of the resurrection, though it hadn't restored her eyesight completely. "Why don't I remember who I am or who anyone is? What kind of cruel being would do such a thing to me, I don't understand."

For some unknown reason, she wanted to collapse to her knees and cry out in pain as to why she felt so confused. But at the same time, she felt she needed to remain composed in front of Mashyuu, as though she was the strongest person he knew. It was a feeling that she didn't understand like everything else, but a feeling that she obeyed over all else. She bit her lip and wiped away the red that had streaked its way down her cheek, smearing it across her face on accident. Upset. That's what she currently felt about the entire situation, and as frustrated that she couldn't understand the whole of it. What she wanted most was for everything to go back to normal, like nothing had ever changed since their deaths. Though a small inkling of a feeling clawed at the back of her mind and told her things would never be the same as she wished.

Kanix felt a hand brush along her forearm up to her upper arm, causing goosebumps to appear along her arm. She turned her head slightly and looked in one direction, but could not sense any being that was there touching her. The sensation continued, however, the feeling of fingertips crawling along her spine as though they were trailing upward. It caused her to shiver and give a strange whine in response to it, spinning on her heels to face the direction of the hand. Yet again, nothing was caught in her tremor sense, like whatever being was touching had no sense of motion to it. Fingers encircled the back of her neck, causing her to throw her head back a little, as if she was to pinch the fingers between her head and back. No hand. It frustrated her and in retaliation, Kanix let lose a blast of ice, the shards shooting the direction of Mashyuu.

Confused, Kanix let her tremor sense scope out the area again to see if perhaps it was just a being associated with lightning. Yet again, no beings were detected aside from the ones that were already roaming around the city as if they owned the place. This time around, the fingertip feeling brushed against her stomach and she took a step backward, falling into the arms of the Necromancer. His grimace was wide and revealed yellowed, broken teeth as a hand reached upward to caress the blind woman's cheek. "Is this blood that mars my beautiful creation?" he inquired to the woman, mock concern filling his voice with ease. "I don't like it when something scratches my perfection and quite frankly, this blood is something I don't like on you." Carefully, the man dusted away the blood from her cheek that she had smeared along her skin when she had wiped it away.

"Much better, my darling," he murmured into her ear, bending down to give her a kiss on the lips, be it brief. "However, I didn't come here to have a little bit of fun with just you, I came here to play a bit of dolls with you and him." The smirk sprawled across his face wider, almost as though he was mimicking the strange smile of a joker. "Do you care to have a dance, my love? I think we could even have him join in on the dance if that's what you wish." Smile still upon his face, the Necromancer released his grasp on her, only for Kanix to find she could not move her own limbs. She struggled in the invisible bindings, but no matter how hard she tried to gain control of herself, she couldn't find it. Instead, the Necromancer forced her limbs to work of their own accord, her mind running around in a panic as a result.

He caused her arm to stretch outward on its own, her hand raised and poised as though she was about to cast a spell. A sharp pain pierced into her forehead, though nothing was visible to the naked eye as to what was going on. The piercing pain caused Kanix's glassy eyes to gloss over with a strangely white shade, like she was accessing her foresight. They remained this way, a small recognition as to just who was controlling her and that she wasn't doing this of her own accord. Her hand that was poised had a bubble of water form at its palm and from that bubble of water, a sharp blade came forth. This blade was quickly gripped by the woman and flipped around so that it was able to fully stretch out into her trident. She gripped the trident tightly in her hand and thrust it forward, aiming it at the throat of Mashyuu under the digression of the Necromancer.

    Part Two: Got Away Again.

Mashyuu landed on the ground in a three point stance at the side of Kanix, only to be blasted with an Ice shard spell, chilling his bones and stunning the Earth Wizard. "Kanix! What the hell are you doing!?" he shouted in pain while wincing. He couldn't believe that the woman he loved was attacking him for reasons that weren't training. She seemed like she was out to kill him. By the time he recovered Mashyuu found that he had a trident pointed at his throat with a beautiful Kanix glaring at him darkly. The problem was that the trident was coming right at him with no sign of stopping. "Earth Gods Stone Soldiers!" He called out in concern. The ground shot up around Mashyuu while creating four other stone shells. The spell sucked Mashyuu under ground and put him in the shell to the far left before crumbling apart.

The man flexed his body and cracked the stone while calling out to Kanix. "HEY I'm not the enemy here Kanix!" His sky blue eyes ran up and down the woman to see if maybe she was showing off some sort of spell effect that she had no control of or if she was Simply reverting back to her former dark guild ways. That was when it hit him, the Necromancer brought Kanix back from the dead to mess with Mashyuu even more than he already had. Mashyuu could help her but with her current state of mind he knew that she wouldn't let him cast the spell needed to do so. Unfortunately he would have to hurt her and knock her out in order to cast his healing word spell on his once dead wife.

Suddenly Kanix started to wave her arms and conjure water tendrils around her that whipped about towards the Earth Wizard. Mashyuu had forgotten that she was one of the few Wizards who used an element that Mashyuu wasn't very effective against. He would have to keep his distance and strike when the time was right. A water tendril launched at Mashyuu, who ducked and barely evaded a strike then stepped to the left to avoid another. It was starting to feel like the Wizard was dancing and he wasn't even sure if he ever knew how to do so. Even though he was constantly a step or two ahead of her, beating Kanix was never easy in a fight and now that he was trying to hold back it would be near impossible. Luckily thought Mashyuu knew how to work his magic in new ways and many of is attacks could be aimed at body parts.

Swiftly Mashyuu sprang back, his body flipping as he pushed off the ground with his palms. As he landed Mashyuu placed a palm on the ground in a three point landing and called out. "Earth Gods explosive field!" The ground under Kanix lit up then exploded, causing stones to shoot up and dig shallow cuts through the skin of the possibly undead beauty. Kanix jumped in the air and created a ramp of ice, sliding towards Mashyuu as fast as she possibly could, causing the Earth Mage to raise his hands to the sky as dirt and sand formed on his body and created a defensive layer to protect him. As Kanix drew upon the man she once called love, Mashyuu braced for impact. Kanix inhaled and released a breath of ice on Mashyuu that chilled him to the bone but did little more than to mist him as if she hand't mastered the spell yet. Mashyuu took the chance to activate a spell of his own to counter. Pushing out with his left arm he commanded the ground to react in a combination attack. "Earth Gods Combo: Part One!" Three pillars shot out of the ground under the ramp that Kanix made, one split it before her, causing the woman to trip. The other two caught her in the chest and jaw. As Kanix stumbled from the ramp and hit the ground Mashyuu moved his hands apart and continued. "Earth Gods Combo: Part Two!: Again the ground reacted but this time split open and swallowed Kanix entirely and started to compress on her.

Thinking that was the end of the battle Mashyuu took a breath and settled on the fact that she was going to be hurt but survive. The truth was however that as Kanix had the ground start to shut around her she turned to water and slipped up through the small crack his spell had left behind. She reformed behind Mashyuu and reached for him. Her magic controlling the liquid blood in his body, causing him to fall to her mercy. Kanix whipped her slender body around and hurled Mashyuu through a brick wall. Barely he managed to take a few bites of the wall to restore some of his magical power but it wasn't enough to keep him from harm. As her blood bending effect ended Mashyuu shook the cobwebs from his now rattled brain and drew a sharp breath. Kanix conjured a blade of ice and charged. Mashyuu had to strike true, take out her legs without killing her. He closed his eyes and relied on his earth tremor senses. A single moment before Kanix was in range with her blade Mashyuu exploded and took on the form of sand. He appeared at the flank of the woman and punched the ground. "Earth Gods Molten Blast!" He called out. Molten rock flipped up through the ground and washed over the legs of Kanix, burning her but not so badly that she wouldn't recover. Her body hit the ground hard, the pain of the burn enough to knock her out.

At last Mashyuu extended his palm towards Kanix and whispered a word of prayer. "Light Dragons Healing Word: Cleanse!" A swarm of prayers floated around Mashyuu then rested on Kanix, breaking the hold the Necromancer held on his wife. Softly he scooped her up into his arms and took a look around. The Necromancer had gotten away again during the fight...

Still carrying Kanix, Mashyuu met up with Itsu and the people the woman had saved, and left the city, one to help the people and two to track down the Necromancer and end this once and for all.
