Part One: Reunited
The early dawn light that rested on the once thriving city had been left behind the Sabertooth Wizards Mashyuu and Itsu. Both had seen better days and both were tired from a night of seemingly endless battles. Mashyuu's brown gi had been torn to shreds but he managed to keep the book that Mefitis the goddess that had resided inside of Mashyuu told him to take. He knew that the old tomb wrapped in what felt like blue flesh held forbidden magic that a mortal shouldn't know but with the guidance of a goddess Mashyuu was sure he could manage. His sword, the Kingmaker, still rested in his red belt, if barely. And his body was covered in cuts that his healing magic had managed to keep under control but he would for sure need some medical attention. Itsu wasn't doing much better, her dress, ripped as ever was fine but she had one massive bruise going down the entire left side of her body, from head to toe and her bones had been cracked. The only reason she had been walking was because Mashyuu managed to heal her before the damage could get worse for her.
As noon hit, Mashyuu and Itsu weakly walked into the city of Ace of Spades, when his ring, the one that was still on his finger pulsed with sudden life. Mashyuu's eyes went wide, it hadn't done that ever. Something had changed, it reacted to the fact that Kanix was alive and close. Mashyuu didn't say a word, he just broke off in a break neck speed. feeling the wind blowing the same direction he was running the Wizard exploded and formed into sand, letting the wind carry him across the city, leaving Itsu behind and confused. "WHy does he do that every time he gets worried?" The green haired woman with the ram skull on her head asked...
The sand that was Mashyuu reformed about a mile away from the bar also called Ace of Spades. "I don't know what happened but I swear I won't let anything happen to you." The wizard growled through gritted teeth. His body leaned forward as his heavy foot falls picked up speed, he removed his ring and shoved it in his pocket, allowing for his dual slayer enhanced speed to carry him through the rest of the city with almost no effort. As he drew closer to the building below the guild he stopped running, letting his own speed carry him in a slide to a body that was lumped on the ground outside of the bar. He wasn't sure, the shock white hair threw him off, as did the blue markings running down the body, but his heart knew. It would always know. Mashyuu used his geokenisis and made a large flat bed of dirt to raise Kanix up off the ground and safely roll her to her back while he slowly drew closer to her. He had seen too many dead people back in his life lately to be completely trusting. First Itsu, then his Mom and Ux, now Kanix. Nothing made sense. And why did she look different? Could she see? Mashyuu wasn't sure.
Itsu rounded the corner of a tall building and stopped to Mashyuu's left, panting for air. "Mashyuu! Kidnapping women isn't how to go about getting dates!" She scolded him, and for the first time outside of a fight or job he gave her a dark look, making the woman shrink back from fear of what might happen. "Itsu, this is my wife...I don't remember much but I remember loving her so much that I literally died trying to keep her safe. I failed her, my daughter, and the girl that Kanix adopted. Now our daughter is gone, I can't find her... and the one that Kanix adopted blames me for her death. Yet here she is, looking different just like me but my heart and soul knows this is her." Mashyuu gently scooped Kanix up into his arms, cradling her head on his chest and walked into the bar, he pushed past other guild mates and team members, not saying a word as he made is way around the corner and approached a dark blue lacrima at the back corner of the bar. Itsu slowly followed behind, making sure to give her friend and teammate some space.
Once in his room Mashyuu gently laid Kanix on his bed and placed his book on a night stand along with his sword on the mantle above his fireplace. Then he rushed off to get a warm towel and rested it on her forehead. He changed into a pair of black jeans ripped at the knees, matching mid calf high boots with silver toed steel. A red tee shirt, black and gold vest and black fingerless gloves. He sat at his wife's side and held her hand, gently kissing it and found it impossible to hold back the tears that streamed from his face, swelling it with redness. "Please be okay...."
