After an incident with the demon goddess Ilyria that resulted in the the death of her entire family, Erziele spent the next five years mostly alone, teaching herself to use magic. Erziele forced herself to live in solitude, constantly depressed as she wallowed in the guilt of provoking Ilyria. Eventually, she became used to her loneliness, and almost began to enjoy it. Realizing that she did not want to live out her life in this way, Erziele finally decided to let herself out into public, where she could better increase her magical abilities. Now, out and about in the land of Fiore, Erziele's social skills have only marginally returned to her. It is rather difficult for her to make friends, but she knows she has to try. After all, she specializes in supportive magic, which puts her at a disadvantage taking on jobs alone. It can take a while for Erziele to get used to other people. When she actually does view another person as a friend, it's kind of hard to tell due to her vaguely pessimistic outlook and somewhat serious attitude towards most situations. However, she doesn't let these qualities stop her from attempting to cheer people up when she knows they need it most, even if she isn't all too good at it. At the time of her family's death, Ilyria also put a curse on Erziele's arms, turning them into tentacles. They constantly make her uncomfortable, and play a large roll in her social anxiety. When Erziele actually does feel "good" about something, she's able to cast her insecurities aside and almost act like a normal teenager. Of course, her own ideals of composure keeps this from happening most of the time.
In Battle
As stated, Erziele specializes in support magic. Her difficulties in making friends make the ones that she does have all the more important to her, which strengthens her resolve in battle. She isn't afraid to put her life on the line for others. When Erziele does attack, she waits patiently for openings and weaknesses. She tries to move quickly in battle, preferring many careful and quick strikes over less but heavy blows. When fighting under a trustworthy leader, Erziele will do her best not to fail them. She will fulfill almost any order without hesitation, rarely disagreeing. This quality reveals a bad habit of putting other people's judgement before her own, which can make her fairly gullible. As a part of the Avatar of Ilyria lineage, Erziele has the ability to summon the demon goddess for aid in battle. For good reason, she is extremely reluctant to call upon Ilyria. She will shut down the suggestion to do so on most occasions, only summoning her as a last resort. Erziele herself believes that she would probably turn out to be the worst leader imaginable. If someone actually decided to give her this role, her first act would be passing it on to literally anyone else. Erziele is generally very bad at telling others what to do. She would become stressed over the importance of her roll, and doubt herself too much to design a stable strategy.
Likes:
* Hoodies - Even if she didn't feel the need to hide her arms, Erziele would still wear a hoodie most of the time. Of course, she would rather have a more appropriate size.
* Friends - Although Erziele is somewhat anti-social, she really does appreciate the people who care for her. This is reflected in her choice of magic.
* Difficult jobs - Erziele feels a good sense of accomplishment tackling harder jobs. She enjoys problem solving and even a big fight now and then. Still, she's careful not to stray from the group when on these kinds of missions.
Dislikes:
* Her arms - Cursed by the demon goddess Ilyria, Erziele's arms were replaced by tentacles. She finds them rather monstrous.
* Ilyria - Ever since she was small, Erziele hated Ilyria. Her family constantly worshipped the demon goddess in order to achieve power, never leaving time for the child. Erziele's hatred lives on stronger than ever, since Ilyria was responsible for the murder of her entire family, as well as the curse lain on her body. This makes Erziele very reluctant to summon the demon goddess in battle, only doing so when it is absolutely necessary.
* Fancy clothes - Erziele is probably the last person you would expect to see dressed up, but she'd be willing to do it if she felt the event was special enough.
* Any pity directed to her - It makes her feel like a child.
Motivations:
* To restore her cursed arms - The reason Erziele became a mage was in the hope to restore her arms to their original form. She believes that the answer could lie in healing magic, which is why she specializes in support.
* To find her family - Erziele puts herself at fault for the death of her entire family. She would give anything for the chance to at least apologize to them.
* To cure her social anxiety - Erziele sucks at talking to people she doesn't already know. She hopes that making herself work with others will eventually improve her social prowess.

Both of Erziele's tentacle arms are the same length as normal human arms. They are also made purely of translucent blue water. This watery appearance extends to her shoulders. Jagged streaks of watery flesh slightly protrude from her shoulders onto her upper torso, as though someone had aggressively sewn the tentacles to a limbless torso.
