Shocking Entrance [Open/Intro]

Noon already? Ryse released a sigh as he casually strolled through town. Ryse wore casual clothing today instead of anything formal. Today he wore a white T-shirt and black pants. Over the T-shirt was a black sleeveless hoodie that had a color up his neck. The jacket was a pullover so all of  the white T-shirt he was wearing that was visible were the sleeves. Finishing the attire were a pair of black converses. (Cause I said they exist.)

Ryse wasn't out and about this day for fun though, well, technically orb was for fun, but actually he was out on business. Recently he heard about a guild, one near here that he was rather interested in joining. In all honesty, Ryse was excited. This was a chance for him to grow even stronger than he was now so he couldn't accomplish his goals. Though he wondered what kind of people he would meet there. How many members weren't there already? Well, it didn't be really matter. If it was a place he could grow at it didn't matter what types of people there were.

There was however one problem. He didn't know where the guild was. He left earlier this morning and it was already noon. It had to be around here somewhere. Maybe he should ask people for directions? Well the best place to check would maybe be some kind of cafe or something. Ryse shrugged and looked around. After a moment he found just what he was searching for. Silver Moon Inn huh? Ryse opened the door and strolled in with his hands stuffed into his pockets.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for the Black Rose Guild.. anybody know of the place?"

The place Ryse chose to enter was a quaint looking Inn positioned on the corner of a moderately busy street. Above the door shortly beneath the first set of windows was a sign that read Silver Moon Inn signaling that those words likely made the name of the establishment he strode into. The assumption was correct in most cases, the place for most was just some simple Hotel or Cafe tended to expertly, some of its staff having inhumane traits or things that made them seem like mages even if they were otherwise perfectly human. However if one knew enough about the City they would know that Silver Moon Inn was a coin with two sides to it, the renown Inn/Cafe/Bar establishment that at least partly dominated Rose Garden's business with the flip side of it being the Black Rose Guild and its mages.

"I'm Jiyu, This Is Black Rose, What'cha Need." some of those Black Rose mages worked in the Inn alongside normal wizarding work while other's did not. Jiyu? Was one of the mages who took double duty an apron-like cloth tied around her waist protecting her white daisy dukes from stains while the torso part of her was kept safe from stains she would have to wash out by the fact she was only wearing what equated to a bra on that part of her. Today she wished that she had bothered grabbing a full apron or some jacket because the cafe was busy a tray in each of her clawed hands and another two hovering in the air thanks to her wind abilities. Normally she would have been a bit more playful with someone new or maybe more polite but this time her way of speaking was rather informal as she twirled on one heel to set down a tree and flicked her elfin ears to single out the man who wanted the Guilds attention.

Since she had picked out his location by the sound of his breathing due to her insanely sensitive ears the canine kept them focused on him as she danced around the room setting down the remaining trays. While she did such a task? Ryse would have a better chance to see that the woman he spoke to was far from human, the dead give away being the fluffy dark canine tail that was long enough to touch the floor whipping around with her movements. However, she was clearly part of the guild he was looking for because the group's mark was marked in a huge unmistakable black shade across her entire utterly exposed stomach. So at least he knew he'd arrived at his destination more or less.

Sometimes Shade really wondered why she bothered. Sure the plush exteriors were oh-so-adorable, sure they were fun to dive into a large pile of them, and sure they offered an easier link for her denizens to this plane of existence…

…buuuuuuut…

Sometimes they could be a pain in the butt too. For possibly the umpteenth time that week her white rabbit Desa managed to tear an ear and CM the black moose nearly tore off one of his cute button eyes in one of his many fits of panic. He’d been raving about some bug intending to devour all his stuffing that’d merely turned out to be a piece of fluff from Desa’s torn stitching no less and it managed to catch on something. By the time she’d noticed the pudgy plush moose crying about something else he’d just about been dragging his left eye on the ground and close to wailing.

Bored of cooping herself up in her room, the summoner dragged the problematic duo down to the dining area intent on getting something at least halfway edible. The more time spent in the realm of the living the more she seemed to need to eat rather than simply do it for the sheer joy of taste. At some point the white haired girl planned to look into that further, but for the most part it sat low on a list of “Things To-Do” that she would likely continue procrastinating on rather than dealing with it. Armed with a sowing kit she’d started with the plump CM’s eye – to prevent him from escalating from barely perceptible whimpering into outright cries of despair that would somehow lead him to running all around the dining room. She could never quite understand how she’d built his personality to involve so much running…

By this point though she was beginning to wonder where her food might be as she opted for a lighter thread color for Desa, the white rabbit barely holding in trickster-like chuckles – likely still amused at the moose’s distress over simple fluff. Then again once she released him the long-eared rabbit plush would likely take to stealing things off of plates and playing “stuffed animal” when they noticed him. A table away from the door the conversation caught her interest, a line of thread hanging from her mouth as she noticed the new person before eyes turned towards the plate with a higher level of interest: food? Was that her food? Any of it? Maybe? Possibly? Hopefully? And yet the waitress traveled away, dashing some slight hopes in the girl of receiving her food.

When he entered, as expected the place was busy. It seemed like a rather nice establishment, however much to his surprise the waitress said this was Black arose, the guild he was searching for. Before Ryse could respond a bird flew past him. Did he open the door too long and let a bird in? Hopefully they wouldn't get angry. However he wasn't just not gonna say anything and see I felt they said something about it."I see, well can I talk to your Guild Master or something? Not sure how the process works but I'm looking to join.. err... get hired?@

Ryse looked around more at the various people. One girl was working with potions of some kind. She seemed to be struggling. Another girl came down from upstairs, maybe she's staff as well or something, maybe the inns are upstairs then? Then the last person to say anything was... another's girl. Though she called him a customer. Was he a customer? He wasn't here to buy anything, more like he was here to join. Though by the way she spoke seems she was actually part of the Guild as well. He nodded at when and gave her a smile. "So.. are there like tryouts or something?"

By this point he wondered if he should take a seat or just Lee standing awkwardly. Well, he least figured he would move out of the entrance so other people could come on. He then took a few strides away from the door and towards a more unoccupied area and decided to continue to stand there.

"Look. I'm only a collector. And I'm here to collect what you owe me..." Kiru said, her arms crossed as an impatient foot tapped on the stone. "L-look lady. I don't wanna piss off your friends or anything, but we simply don't have th-"
"Quiet." She interrupted the man as he stared up at her. The entire scene was a mess. The two were situated in a secluded alley, well away from the main streets. Around said alleyway lied about 6 unconscious street thugs, all sleeping peacefully in puddles of water. Kiru stood above the last one, whom she was debating making join his friends. "You came to Rose Garden asking for assistance, and we did what you wanted... Now it's your turn to pay your part of the bargain. Black Rose doesn't take kindly to swindlers..." She gritted her teeth... All the while a long white tendril of water started snaking the ground behind her. It gave off a strong holy aura. The man saw it and started to panic. "W- Wait we can work this out, we can-MFF!" The white water tentacle quickly wrapped around his waist, chest, and then mouth. It slowly lifted him in the air and brought him closer to Kiru, who stared at his trembling eyes with a fierce intensity. "Yes, we can work this out. How about I take everything you have left, and you get to live..." And without waiting for an answer from his muffled mouth, the tendril slammed against the side of the building. The man instantly knocked unconscious as his body fumbled to the dirty stone…

Another day in the world She lived in. Kiru silently stepped out of the darkened streets with an annoyed look on her face. She never understood these people’s minds. To think they could try and strike out on the deals they made with her guild, and get away with it? The very thought was enough to make Kiru’s usual expressionless stare turn sour. Which was saying a lot. She rarely showed any emotion unless her feelings were strong enough. But what was done is done. She confronted the gang, and solved the issue the only way she could. Carrying a bag of jewels by her side.

A few minutes later, she had arrived at the Silver Moon Inn. Somewhat annoyed, Kiru strolled into the tavern with an expression to match as she clutched the coin purse at her side. The bag starting to drip around her hands. Without saying anything, Kiru placed the bag on the counter. The bartender turned and raised an eyebrow at the large sum of money before Kiru would make her way around the bar and pull out a large book. Using both hands she flipped to a very specific page. The contents of said book would suggest that the item was some sort of ledger. It listed dates, names, amounts and various other things that Kiru had written over the past few months. Carefully keeping track of all the transactions she was required to make for the guild. Grabbing a quill, she scribbled down another note. Everyone knew better than to question Kiru about the book, ESPECIALLY in this state. If she had any form of emotion on her face, that meant she really felt something. And in this case that emotion was negative. Most figured it’d be best to let her do her own thing until she returned to her… ‘Normal’ self.

Finally finishing her note, Kiru shut the large book, and placed it back in its spot before turning to the bartender. “Take the money to the vault.” She said coldly. Kiru then turned to walk up the stairs before her attention was required again.

A new voice hit the slayer's ears. With this, the girl stopped suddenly in the stair way and slowly turned her soaked head to stare the newcomer straight in the eyes with her cold blue gaze... A young man. Not demonic, as far as she could tell. Regular scent. Potential.... Lots of it. ANd it seemed as if he wanted to join. Kiru looked around to see a few other members welcoming him, but Kiru's reaction would be different. She'd avert her course to walk right up to him and stare him down. "Come with me." She said, a sense of irritation still outlining her voice. If he had chose to follow Kiru, she would've taken him to a corner booth that was vacant... And for good reason. This was Kiru's money booth. Or at least that's the nickname it was given. She spent most of her days in the inn doing paperwork for the various financial assets and institutions Black Rose had owned scattered across Fiore in small pockets. Aside from Izayuki and Seika, Kiru had been placed with keeping charge of it all. However, it wasn't economic business right now... No this man wanted to join the guild.

Waving her hand towards a vacant seat across from her, a book would appear in the air in front of the twin haired girl and land on the table in front of her. It was a very large and heavy looking book, evident by the hard "THUNK!" like sound it made as it was placed on the table. Opening it up randomly, Kiru would put on a small pair of glasses and inspect the ink writing, tracing a finger along its parchment before looking up at him with a quill in hand. "Full name, species, magic, and date of birth please." Of course she wasn't adding him to the roster just like that. This was merely an interview to see if he had the honesty and heart to join the guild. Kiru nodded at the other girls, encouraging them to watch so they could judge him for themselves...

Jiyu often worked hard but there were times that she did not enjoy the way she pushed herself to contribute. Such days? Happened few and far between these days though, since she could levitate and have the wind do most if not all of her work for her, Kazehime made it through her days much easier now. Instead of running her weak and fragile body ragged by darting back and forth or serving uncountable amounts of alcoholic drinks, it only looked as if the female was running around. In truth? The wind was doing every bit of her moving her and her feet never touched the ground always at least a half an inch of air between the ground and her as her element helped her complete tasks that for most were easy chores. Sometimes it could get very easy to forget just how vulnerable and easy to harm the wind user was since she rarely acted in a way equal to her physical strength instead preferring to act according to her magical strength which was only currently paled by the guild master.  

The Ace finished up her current tasks swiftly with the aim of being the one to help the potential joiner to the Guild. However, Kiru seemed to take control before she had the time free on her hands and this was interesting. In spite of having been back with Black Rose for several months now, Jiyu had yet to see the girl who had inherited her old Ace spot actually do a task like this. Most of the time it seemed the demon slayer was focused on the books, money related stuff of which Jiyu's only connection was the fact she worked so hard and thus was a very stable source of income for the guild. Seeing the opportunity to watch Kiru do something that was not required to be a sort of debt collector or even a mage really? Was enough to keep the Inugami from intervening or trying to take the spotlight back. "If we need we'll get Izayuki, but Kiru and Myself are fully capable of handling your request as well." heck some of the guild might be as well but she knew less about that, most people let the aces or iza herself handle taking in people from what the pale skinned girl had seen.

The canine set down her trays since everyone had been served and she could hear everything going on in the room. If someone needed refills or such? She would know from the tell tale noise of ice clinging in a near empty cup, but for now, everyone was good so she could sit. "Hey Charlotte, He's a potential new guild-mate, anyways how did what you went out to do go?" the basket and its contents were pretty clear to someone with sense's like the lavender eyed girls but she still chose to ask, perched upon all fours on a bar stool close to Haley. "Hey, Haley you have anything that isn't going to kill me behind that counter?" since she was a canine alcohol and several other types of drinks were dangerous for her to consume. Normally Jiyu knew what was back there as she helped out as a tender often but right now it was the other girl's dominion so she had no idea what was back there. "Cielle, your stuff will be up any moment." with that comment the long-tailed female pushed herself to stand up again and walked towards the place where she picked up plates. Considering her fear of flames? When she was playing waitress a few more precautions than normal were required to make sure she didn't see the fire used for cooking and pass out before her shift was over.

A frowning pout marred Shade’s face, the girl likely looking impatient for her food and mildly miffed that it might be a while longer. She couldn’t even relish the amusing notion of someone looking to join the guild altering his statement into being “hired” as she normally might. In actuality the casual usage of her real name – a name that’d just about required pulling teeth to get out of the girl – offset Shade to the point of mild grumbling despite string still pursed between her lips. It was all she could do not to savagely repair the white rabbit plush, though her ire merely seemed to please him all the more, the trickster always amused at someone’s anger even if it came from his creator.

” ‘hinkin s’hee can use mm rh-eel nem yike ‘at,” she grumbled, careful not to drop the thread even as she huffed. With a few more strokes she’d closed the gap so no more fluff might make its daring escape, watching with a bit more curiosity as Kiru lead the newcomer over to a booth. Even some of her hunger-fueled anger ebbed away as she wondered what might be in store for the fellow, though she doubted he really and wholly knew what he was getting into as far rarely did. While she’d blindly followed Magna into this guild’s arms it’d proved to be quite the “interesting” place by far. Certainly more intriguing and diverse than some other places she’d made temporary homes out of in her time.

Still she couldn’t help wondering what the boy would end up doing…though she wasn’t wholly sure what everyone did either. Shade hadn’t exactly been keen on getting to know too many people, but she didn’t imagine they all worked in the Silver Moon Inn explicitly. Heavens knows the white haired girl couldn’t do half the job Jiyu did (never mind the fact she’d leave it to her denizens and…it wouldn’t turn out well), held enough knowledge to know that Kiru didn’t busy herself with the dining room nor any of the guest rooms (well pretty sure at least), and wasn’t entirely sure what the girl with the cauldron was up too let alone the one who’d wandered in the doors not too long after the new guy. Maybe they’d make him clean the bathrooms, bus tables, make beds, or…well she held some notion that they owned a few businesses other than this one so maybe he’d be outsourced to one of those establishments in between mage jobs? Only time would tell as she let her head tap the table, whimpering as she felt a tummy grumble strike.

Ryse smiled and nodded towards Jiyu before he was suddenly directed away towards a different area by somebody else. They then proceeded to pull out a large book. As she did so he scanned around more. There were actually a lot ofcut girls here, even the one that brought him over here and got the book-- bah! He snapped out of those thoughts and got a bit more on task now. "Huh my name is Ryse Xenethis. My species is human I guess.. and my magic? How about you find out personally? Or I mean if you want me to just tell you we could discuss it over dinn-- er sorry. Uhh Lightning.." he rubbed the back of his neck for a moment. He almost let something bad come out. He shook his head and sighed. That almost turned out bad..

However the more he looked around the more active this place recalled seemed to be. This place was actually pretty lively. "Then uhh.. what about you? What's your name? The rest doesn't really matter to me. I'd rather get to know you first, know what I mean?" He couldn't help but smile at Kiru. They said smiles were the first step to making friends so, may as well smile as much as he could for now right? Soon enough however he knew he would begin to complete his goal.
