Walking back to the place where Kaori came across the tigers she'd used to help her obtain her drivers' license, the masked woman had noticed that night was beginning to fall. Her pack of white, lightning tigers had been traveling with her for a great deal of time with little rest. Food had been scarce, she had to ration what she had since there was little game to hunt along the way. Most of the animals nearby were scared off by the sound of the machines barreling through the land on their way to the city of machines. One of the tigers had let out a strange kind of whining sound, its' head drooping in a discouraged manner that made Kaori's eyes soften as they looked at the beast through the holes in her mask. She walked up to it, kneeling down and gently resting her hand on the side of its' large head. "It's been a pretty long trip, I bet you're tired." she said in a soft, caring tone that came out slightly muffled because of her cat mask. She knew the animal couldn't truly understand her, but her clan was trained to rely on animals and treat them like humans. People talked to other people, so she talked to the animals. The tiger moved its' head forwards and pressed its' nose to Kaori's mask, a sign of affection considering as it didn't try to eat her. "How about we all take a rest?" she asked while getting up and moving off to a set of trees that were off the path, reducing the chances of her and her friends blocking the road.

Kaori opened her eyes after falling asleep in the mage clan's castle. She was up all night trying to find information about something she'd seen back then. While she was laying with her head on one of the tigers' stomachs something shot across the sky with lights on it. She remembered the outline of it as the stars above had shown a black spot where it was moving. It was fast, and it was insanely high up, meaning if she saw it on the ground it would be massive compared to herself. She wanted to know what manner of bird or insect it was, but no animal book she'd read contained its' image and it was frustrating her. By a stroke of luck, one of the clans' people had sensed her dissatisfaction and approached the young woman to inquire what was wrong. After explaining the situation while respectfully avoiding eye contact with the man, he asked Kaori to draw what she saw. Once the drawing was complete, the man scratched his head while letting Kaori know it wasn't an animal, but a machine. He got a book for her and showed Kaori the exact one, and told her that there were places where people could actually travel in them. He explained the requirements to board, and told her where to get the item she needed. He called the item a 'passport' and from what Kaori could understand, it was another piece of plastic. 'These people really like plastic rectangles...' she thought, while thanking the man for his help and leaving to acquire the item.

When Kaori arrived at the docks, she was met with an annoying obstical... people, tons of them, people everywhere and they were all huddled together to form a fleshy wall. Her annoyance had climaxed within moments since her objective was so close that she could almost feel it in her slender, soft hands. Looking around, she saw a rather large flock of sea birds flying overhead, waiting for someone to drop their sandwish or some bread crumbs. "Oh well..." Kaori said under her breath and mask before whistling a soft tune. To those around her, it was an innocent song being whistled but to the bird above, it was their que to commence attacking. They all swooped in, diving for the crowd and pecking at people's heads to cause mayhem. Meanwhile, Kaori began walking forwards and stopped at the booth with a confused looking clerk who didn't know what had gotten into the sea birds. The masked ninja had stopped whistling and the birds had all flown away, dispersing completely to reveal clear skies and the crowd ceased their panicking. After a small registration process, Kaori had received her passport and was on her way.
