    Lucius Foss Golden Phoenix B-Rank
    I   c r e a t e d   a   m o n s t e r   a   h e l l   w i t h i n   m y   h e a d

Haunted Village, it just screamed fun. That's sarcasm of course. The teenager wondered what the heck he got himself into, the Magic Council sent out a request all guilds, legal and dark. Golden Phoenix, a guild he was apparently in now, decided to send one of there aces. The Ace of Topaz, which was also his adoptive sister. And he guessed because she wanted him to get out more, and or the job would be challenging for someone of her rank, so she brought him along. The assassin wasn't to happy about that, he doesn't really like going on and voluntarily helping people. And he especially doesn't like going out these days, and doesn't really feel like doing anything. Though some days were better then others, he always felt like crap. Didn't help that not all of his wounds were all healed up just yet, though he tried to hide his pain from his sister. He hated pushing things on other people, or even just getting help from people, he was a rather stubborn and independent human being. Especially his sister, he always felt the need to constantly help and protect her, even if he didn't always show it in the best ways. Yet, that's all she has been doing for him these days, and he absolutely hated it.
If it wasn't bad enough being beaten down by that damned tanuki, multiple times, getting her hurt in the process. He was now permanently handicapped, blinded, though he was slightly trained in how to live without sight. He never really expected anything really to happen to his eyes, guess he should've with his luck. Everything these days seemed to be punching down his self-esteem, and giving him major depression. Another thing he tried not to show his sister, though was probably obvious by the way he was acting. Being more grim then normal, not wanting to ever leave his room and just wanting to lay down and sleep all the time. Only occasionally having what would be considered 'good days', which were the particularly quiet days. When nothing really happened, as if the world was giving him an occasional break from the constant torture that it gives him. Which seemed even more torturous, he cursed to himself for being so pathetic and pitiful. Lucius was hoping that he'd be able to kill something, so he could blow off steam. Then he heard that the job was not to kill anybody, but to knock them out of deal with them some other way. So that just irritated him even more.
Lost in all of his thoughts, just following the sound of Astrid walking in front of him. He waved his cane back and forth, as to not run into anything that may be in his path. He could feel the eerie aura that the town gave off. No wonder it was called Haunted Village. Even without being able to see it, he could feel that this place gave of a creepy vibe. Though of course, giving that vibe off himself, this place didn't bother him in the slightest. He wasn't sure about his sister though, he was really missing the fact that he could read people's expressions. Guess he'd just have to depend on the feeling of there aura or the sound of their voice. It would do, but he still preferred to have them all. But I guess like everything else, takes time to get used to it. Pulling himself out of his thoughts for a moment to speak to his sister "So where are we at? I can't exactly see that myself" he asked, then stating a well known fact. No reason why, or at least the reason was unknown. Maybe he was reminding her, just in case she forgot. Maybe he was just trying to grasp that he really couldn't see. Or maybe something else.

And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain

As long as she was here with him, he would be safe. As long as she kept him in her sight, she would be okay. As long as she kept telling herself that, they would both be fine. Though of course the musician couldn't help but worry about her now disabled brother. Not that she didn't think disabled people were capable of handling themselves. After all, she too was disabled. But at least she had experience in dealing with it her entire life. She was use to it. She knew how to deal with it. Lucius on the other hand did not. He was not born with a disability like her. He was given it. How? She did not know yet. She hadn't gathered up the courage to ask such a sensitive subject. But no matter what, this is how he was now. This was the new Lucius. Blind. And he did not yet know how to deal with this new handicap. While she did her best to try and make her house as blind-proof as possible, she was no expert on the blind. If he had gone deaf, that was a whole other story. She knew how to deal with that, and all the things that came with it. But blind? That was totally different. When learning how to communicate, Astrid had her grandfather to learn from. But Lucius... Didn't have anyone or anything to learn how to deal with it. And she has seen the progression of it winning him over. He became more depressed, sleeping more and caring for himself less. How the ace wished she could help him more... But the only way she knew how, was to try and spend more time with him. And what was better than a job that the two of them could do together? Something to keep him busy. But it hadn't dawned on her until she accepted it... How was he going to fight? Yes, he was a good fighter before. But now with his handicap? How was he going to do anything? He hadn't really trained at all with it. And of all things they were fighting werewolves. On an A-rank mission. Enemies that would be even harder than they normally would. But after getting it accepted and getting Lucius on board, she just couldn't find it in herself to cancel it. She promised the might council... The guild.... The village... She couldn't just say she made a mistake in taking it and let them all down. So she made a promise to herself. She'd take it. But meanwhile, she would do everything in her power to protect her little brother. Everything. No werewolf would lay a single claw on him if she had anything to say about it.

The musician strolled on the left side of her brother, making sure to stay close enough to him just so he could feel her shoulder rub against his side every once in a while, to let him know she was close by.
At his question, she gazed around. It was easy to know they were close. Haunted Village gave off such a horrid and stomach-turning aura it was hard to miss. Even the wagon they rode to get here from the mountains couldn't take them his far. The horses stood firmly in their tracks and refused to go any further, digging their hooves into the dirt as their driver tried to force them to continue.
But otherwise... the entire area was clear. Nothing but snow-covered, rotting trees and a thin layer of mist for what seemed to go on forever.
"Hmm..." she squinted her crimson gaze, features scrunching as she tried to strain her eyes in hopes she could spot anything.
"I'd say... We're almost there?" It was all she could think to say in order to not worry the dark mage too much. She could feel they were getting closer, but her brother was aware of her bad sense of direction, and she knew it. If she had said anything else he would start pulling her in some other direction, ruining whatever sense of pride she had left.

"Hey, do you remember ever coming here as a kid? I feel like we did one year. Maybe for some sort of Halloween event? You remember that at all?"
To drive away any suspicion that she was lost the slayer changed the subject very quickly. Though it was ultimately hide the fact she actually had no idea where they were, she was genuinely curious too. She couldn't remember a whole lot from her younger days sadly, but for some reason she felt like they had been to this village before. She could remember this haunting feeling within her body... And something to do with apple bobbing and candy... But that was it. Haunted Village was a hot spot for spooky events like that. It wouldn't be surprising if their grandfather had driven down here one year to let them experience it. All the villages were rather close like that.

The assassin nodded to his elder sister's response to her question, but felt that she was agitated or worried. Something about the tone of her voice, which was just proved when she changed the subject. He decided not to dwell on it either, he could tell his sister was uncomfortable talking on a subject that was that close to something neither of them really wanted to dig into at the moment. Though he had a feeling she would ask sometime soon, how did he get so injured, how was he blinded? It's not really something the boy wants to typically talk about, but he had a hard time saying no to his sister. He could tell she really wanted to help him, she was always this way and was most likely not going to change. But it was annoying. As I said, he was independent and hated to have other people help him out. Shaking his head slightly, as to knock out those thoughts. If he kept this up, he wouldn't be able to concentrate when they're dealing with these werewolves. And he didn't want to worsen Astrid's load, carrying him along through the battles. It was bad enough already, hopefully it wouldn't get to that point.
Pushing away all his depressive thoughts, he tried to ponder a answer to her question. Unlike her, he remembered almost everything rather vividly. Especially his childhood. It wasn't unlike the man to do something like this, and he wouldn't be surprised if he did. Walking along the streets for some 'spooky' Halloween event, little Astrid freaking out at every turn of the corner and jumping to cling to either his or their grandfather's arm. The thoughts almost made him smile, almost. Though with his unstable mind lately, he wasn't sure if anything thing was right within his brain anymore. For all he knew, it could just be random thoughts trying to torment him some more. Like they didn't do that enough. After about a couple minutes of silence, he answered "Yeah actually, not like you'd remember with that air head of yours" he said, actually smiling. Making fun of his sister, trying to brighten the mood a little bit. She had a large amount of things that she was busy with, and one of them was himself. Though he would never admit it, he was trying to help his sister out, at least a little bit.
Of course, anybody who has met Lucius probably wouldn't believe this. But he is different, maybe nicer around his beloved elder sister. They were both there for each other as they grew up. Though it was mostly just Astrid trying to teach him how to fit into normal society. Though he hated her at first, she grew on him like she did everybody, and they became like actual siblings. Disregarding the fact that they weren't related at all. It was nice thoughts to think about, a handful of happy ones within the depressive and angry ones.

And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain

At the assassin's fun remark the ace's cheeks filled with air, an embarrassed shade of red gracing her face.
"I'm trying to get better, you know" she huffed. It was no secret Astrid was bad with anything that had to do with the mind. Paying attention, thinking, remembering. Ever since she was a child she has always had these problems. It didn't become obvious to her until some of the village kids pointed it out when she was younger, usually taking advantage of her problems and then joking about it later, even if Astrid herself never realized they were until later. She wanted to be better at that kind of stuff, but she wasn't good at remembering to remember... It was a endless cycle. A never ending cycle. But with all the stuff going on in her life right now she didn't really have the time to sit and train her brain either. These days it was more about physical training. Trying to get stronger physically. Maybe after she finished her physical goal would she then try to go for a mental goal.

It wasn't long before the two siblings finally arrived at the village gate. It stood tall, a couple feet and looked to be made of what seemed to be a dark wood. Along side the gate stood a brick wall that stood even higher than the door, traveling what she guessed would be around the village. Looks like they weren't expecting company? There was no one here to greet them. And the door was closed firmly shut. Stopping to gawk at the size of the walls for a few moments Astrid hopped right up to the wooden gate, giving it three light knocks. The knocks barely made a sound, more dull and creepy than anything. Even the doors here were creepy... That wasn't a good sign.
After a few seconds of silence, did a noise sounds up.

    "H-Hello...?"
Though she looked, the slayer could not spot anyone from which the voice could have come from. It was... Strange... Maybe it was a ghost??
A small hole was opened through the wooden door, where a small, purple eyeball peeked out of them. Having not expected such a thing the ace found herself stepping back once, staring as the eye stared back.
    "What do you want?"

"..." The slayer stared intensly at the eyeball from behind the door, blinking while bending forward, as if she was trying to figure out what she was looking at.
    Annoyed, the voice spoke again.

    "It's rude to stare, girl."
The comment managed to shake the girl from her staring, bringing her back to reality. Astrid leaned back, aware of how close she had gotten.

"O-Oh, yes. We were both sent from Golden Pheonix for the werewo-" "-SHSHH!" the voice shushed her, causing the ace to raise a slim eyebrow in confusion.
A few seconds passed after the eye stared at the two mages scanning.

"Your guild marks. Let me see them."

At her reply he chuckled slightly, though was met with a couple of harsh coughs, of which he covered with his free hand. His throat still harshly injured, at least he lighted the mood a bit. Even if that was something he wasn't typically used to doing, he usually knew how to make his sister happier. He could imagine her doing her usual pout face, puffing up her reddened cheeks and furrowing her silver brows, giving him a cute little glare with he bright red gaze. He kept a slight smirk on his pale complexion a little bit longer, he knew that she wasn't as talented in anything involving her brain as he was. Guess only some are gifted with genius brains such as himself, another thing that makes them different as night and day. In a way he was jealous of her inability to remember somethings, as she probably was for him being able to remember almost everything. Lucius hated his photographic memory sometimes, he remembered so much, especially things he didn't want to remember or think about. His parents and what they did to him whilst they were among the living, how Inanis, his mentor, always treated him and all the things he told him, all the nightmares that he got from said god and other things. And all of the other traumatic experiences that he has had in his lifetime, it was hard to hide them under the good things, when the good things were lacking. It would be like trying to cover all of Lucius with a dishcloth, the problems were to big, and you can't cover them with something so small.
Once he started to think about these things, the slight smirk that was there, fell off his face. The spark of happiness immediately killed by all the dark memories and thoughts within the psychopath's brain. He placed the end of his cane on the floor of the carriage, and he tapped his mechanical and normal fingers on it, making no particular beat. Most likely fragments of the songs he had to learn for his spells, it was almost all the music he knew besides the songs that Astrid played while he was around. He wasn't typically the type of person to listen to music, quite weird thing, being a musician himself and all. But the thing about that was, he wasn't like his elder sister her loved playing music on her instruments, especially her violin. He was forced by his parents and his teacher to play it, since it was the original vessel for his magic. Before the flute was broken and he became the new vessel for the dark magic. He didn't really enjoy it, he despised playing it, but at the time he didn't really have a choice. Might be because he never liked what his magic did to him, the pain it gave him and the pain it still give him. Or maybe because when, if, he got something wrong, he was punished. The assassin never had much positive enforcement as a child. Which is probably how he became a psychopath in the first place. All the abuse, never giving him pleasure, blaming him for things that he never caused or would never have thought of causing before. It turned him cold, his heart practically turned to stone, he became harsh and manipulative. Just the way his family wanted him, and he would probably worse then what he is now, if it wasn't for his darling elder sister.
The carriage came to a stop, he felt it shift as Astrid stood from her seat and climbed off and walked over to the gate. He released a sigh from his lungs and stood to his feet and climbed out himself, though with more difficulty. The teenager walked after the dragon slayer, feeling the ground with his cane to make sure he wouldn't run into anything. Then he stopped beside Astrid when he felt her foot his walking stick. She was already talking to the purple eyed door keeper, and was interrupted when she tried to say that they were two Golden Phoenix mages to help deal with their problem. He didn't appreciate the large irruption at the person gave his sister, but he decided not to make a deal about it. The boy just stood silently, both of his hands resting on his cane of which doubled as his weapon. Then the person requested to see their guild marks. Of course he had to have it in an odd place, it would've been easier if it was on his lower back like his Black Rose tattoo was. But he wasn't really comfortable having it there anymore. Though it was sort of awkward to lift his shirt, he did anyways. With his mechanical hand, he yanked up his black t-shirt and the black hoodie that was over it. Making almost all of his torso bare, showing off his extremely pale skin, along with the large scars that covered his muscles. He showed off his black Golden Phoenix tattoo that was towards the left of his chest, just were his heart is. Once he figured the person saw it, he pulled his shirt back down.

And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain

Guild marks... It was a strange request, but not something she saw to refuse. Seeing as how Lucius had already done so before her, she too showed her mark. The ace raised her left hand to the eye, flipping to the back where the pale blue phoenix mark rested on pale skin. The dull eye scanned one each individually, slowly and carefully.
After a moment of silence, the eye hole slammed shut. But even so, the silence continued. Confused, the slayer glanced back to her brother, shooting him a curious look. Though quickly shook her head and looked back to the door, remembering the man was now blind and would not be able to see her expressions. Did they... Do something wrong? Did they have the wrong village? Or prehaps the village felt as though they were not worth of the job.
Almost convinced to take the long journey back home empty handed the musician prepared herself to leave, about to to turn and walk away until a cranking metal sound caught her attention.
Slowly, the wooden doors in front of her opened, creaking and groaning. When opened just wide enough for one slim person to pass through, a face peeked out of the crack. Puffy, black bangs covered the majority of her white face. Purple eyes laid lazy, dark circle forming beneath them. The two optics looked back and forth between the two mages once more.
"S-So you two are, really from Golden Ph-Ph-Phoenix." The lanky girl stuttered between hard breaths. In reply, Astrid simply nodded.
"W-Wonderful. You would not b-believe how many f-f-fakes we've gotten."
Fakes... That perked the young girl's interest. There were fake guild members trying to come here? That seemed... Weird. Why would they do such a thing? Maybe for the reward. They were offering a pretty hefty price after all. But the magic council had asked specific guilds for help with the job. So some mages were left out. Then fake guild members would make sense... A little sad, really? To go through so much trouble for money...
"Come, come. C-Come in." Waving her hand the girl moved from the gap in the door, allowing the two mages to walk right in. Despite the tight squeeze the slayer had little to no trouble fitting through thanks to her naturally small size. Once through, the dusted patted off her peach dress, feeling some wood stick to it.
"We d-do not have m-much t-time. Th-The sun is going to s-set in l-little less than an hour. The moon is our g-greatest enemy tonight."
That was right. Werewolves. Their thing was transforming under the full moon. The slayer glanced up towards the sky once she was inside the gate, using her hand to shield her eyes from the round orange orb above. It was just half way down. They had little time to spare. That carriage ride must have taken longer than they expected. She blamed her own awful sense of direction... If she had planned better, they would have gotten here sooner and would have time to settle in before they had to start the job.
The dark girl fiddled with her long sleeves, her eye sight avoiding the two siblings, her mouth scrunched with unsureness.
    "I-I'm Chantée. F-From Haunted Village."
Chantée... What a pretty name. The ace smiled, nodding her head.

"Astrid Foss, from Peace Village. It's nice to meet another villager."

Chantée's nervous frown seemed to brighten slightly at the violinist's name. "A-Astrid. S-Sounds space-y. I-I like space. It's cold and dark... A-And no matter ho-ow much you scream, no one will be e-ever to hear you as you float into the endless abyss of the blackly inkiness. Forever alone... No one you l-love beside you. Just you and your t-thoughts until finally you run out of oxygen, alone to die all alone. If you don't d-die of starvation or off yourself f-f-first... R-Reminds me of m-my home... Heehee... H-heh." The girl began to laugh darkly to herself, purple eyes glazing over as she tilted her head upward, smiling weakly in pleasure.
Astrid's features curled with an awkward grin, sweat forming beside her head, teeth clenched together as if too force the smile.

"What a... Lovely... Analogy." She half-laughed out, afraid to say anything else that might be considered rude. She probably meant well... It was just... She seemed to have a different outlook on things, it seemed. And what right did she have to judge her for it? If she got pleasure out of... That stuff... She had all the right to be.

The dark mage let out a slight sigh, resting his hands on his black colored cane. He looked in the direction of Astrid, there was a while of silence. He was unsure of what was going on, it was rather hard to figure anything out without his eyesight. But he tried not to depend on it, because he didn't have it anymore, and whining wasn't going to get him anywhere. Though it helped him get pity and sympathy from his sister, which as I've already stated, he hates having. Stubborn and independent, he would rather run off and be homeless, depending on only his wits to get him through life. Instead of having his beloved elder sister help him. Though he didn't show these thoughts on his face, he tightly clutched his walking stick, turning his already white knuckles, whiter.
Releasing his hands slightly when the sound of creaking metal pierced through the silence in the air. Looking the the direction of the doorkeeper, a young child, not used to being around people the assassin assumed. She stuttered, which annoyed him slightly, while also reminding him of Astrid, who often has trouble with her speech. Listening to her speak, he raised an eyebrow and the statement of fakes. Why would there be fakes? Why would somebody fake being in a guild to deal with this crappy situation? He knew he wouldn't, he didn't even want to be here. But then again, Lucius isn't like everybody else. Anti-social, and most of the time doing everything that he does for his own gain. So purposefully going out and helping somebody, well that was his sisters thing, not his. He didn't really like doing that, that much. Then again they are probably doing it for money, greed was the drive of a lot of people. He wasn't so surprised that some would go to such extreme lengths to get what they desired. Guess they got what they deserved in the end, death of course.
But really he shouldn't say anything, he was no better then them. A murderer, a psychopath, only doing thing for his own gain as I said. So maybe he wasn't greedy for the same things, but still. As time went on in his life, he has begun to realize how much of a hypocrite that he is. Constantly looking down on people for all of the stupid things they do, and all of their petty reasons for doing said things. But then he does the almost exact same things, and has his own reasoning for it and claiming it to be valid reasoning. The young man grinded his teeth together, he might've once had an ego, but he was really hammering it down now. If that wasn't just one of his many lies also. Forcing himself to stop thinking about those annoying thoughts, he quit grinding his teeth.
Now getting invited in, he let Astrid go first, who had basically little to no trouble getting in due to her small stature. The assassin on the other hand had much difficulty, he was tall and muscular. Took him almost a minute to push himself in, probably growling unnaturally in the process. Which didn't help his already injured throat. Covering his mouth with his hand he coughed harshly into it. Just barely hearing the words of the small girl over his coughing. Something about the moon being bad, which would make sense. These creatures, these werewolves or whatever's power relied on it quite a lot. Especially because this was some kind of special time, only happened once in a long time. Causing them to go totally berserk and kill their loved ones, even if they would never do that normally. Sounded just delightful, just another day working as a mage I suppose. Lucius was hoping they would get this over with quickly, so he could go nap or something. Maybe drink tea for his sore, burnt throat.
Raising his head and moving it from side to side to crack his neck, listening to the two girls introduce themselves. He listened to the young girl's little whatever it was upon hearing the slayer's name. Almost made him laugh, weirdly enough for him. Though it shocked Astrid, it was rather amusing for the psychopath. Not sure why, I don't know, I'm not Lucius, who I said was a psychopath. Who knows what he considers comedic. The assassin thought about her statement, rather odd outlook on things she seemed to have. Guess he shouldn't say much himself, but he wondered what her home was like. He was slightly curious I guess you could say, for no particular reasoning really. Just wondering how twisted her home life had to be for her to be like this. He let out a slight huff, disappointed with himself. Lowering his self-esteem, getting help from his sister, now wondering about other peoples lives? Whats gotten into him?
Figuring he should probably introduce himself in the moment of silence that had happened after his elder sister spoke, he let out a sigh and spoke. Though he didn't really want to, it still hurt to use his vocal chords, even if it was healing up. "Lucius Foss, also from Peace Village, can we move on now?" he asked in a slightly rude tone, he just wanted to get all of this crap over with. He wasn't going to bother with all the politeness crap that he usually does. Lucius wasn't really in the mood for a facade, he was tired and in pain in multiple ways.

And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain

Upon hearing the dark haired boy trying to hurry along their conversation Chantée shot him a dark look, lavender orbs narrowing, a scowl scrolling across pale lips. "... Yes. F-Follow m-me, quickly n-now" the grim teen instructed before turning her body around to face the path leading toward the village.
Figuring it would be safer if she did so, seeing how dark it was getting, Astrid grabbed a hold of her brother's wrist to pull him along with her. They needed to be quick about this. The moon was going to come out soon. And if what Chantée said is true, they wouldn't want to get there after dark...

The three took some time getting there. For some reason the gate was a fair ways down from the actual village. A little weird if you asked her, but they must have their reasons she figured.
The village itself, like everything else up to this point, fit its name rather well. It consisted of long concrete pathways, worn down buildings, and a thin layer of mist that somehow was placed specifically within the town and nowhere else around here. In fact, Astrid hadn't even been aware of the mist until she had stepped into the entrance of the town, covering her eyesight instantly. The overall atmosphere of the place was... Well... Dark. Not just from the mist, but there seemed to be a constant looming cloud of just... Black. Though the slayer assumed this to be the fault of the fact that night was approaching. It just managed to decrease her eyesight even more... If it wasn't for the dimly lit lights contained within candle holders every couple feet she doubted she would be able to see at all.
Chantée came to a halt at the edge of the village, spinning slowly around to face the two siblings, a very weak and forced smile upon her lips.
Squinting through the layers of mist and darkness, Astrid looked out into the village. There was one thing that managed to strike her almost instantly.
"Where is everyone? Where are all the people?" It was like a ghost town... No pun intended. From what she could see there was almost no signs of life besides them. If she didn't already know, she would assume this place was abandoned.
Instantly after hearing the question, Chantée frowned, eyes lowering to the ground.

"They're a-all locked insid-de the-eir houses. T-The v-village elders dee-emed it t-too u-unsafe to be out t-tonight. So they're all away, hoping to w-wait this out... B-But..." the girl paused, shoulders slumping, a sigh escaping her mouth.
"A-Anyway... The m-moon is almost up. Y-You guys should get acquainted with the t-town so you don't get l-lost. I-I will be within sh-shouting distance if you n-n-need me."
With that, the grimly girl slumped off, her dark purple dress trailing a little behind her before disappearing into the mist.
Astrid watched, almost saddened by it. The way she sounded while describing the town... It was depressive. Though everything about that girl was depressive. From the way she walked to the way she dressed. But there was something particular about her voice there... It turned the mage's stomach.

"I hope she's okay" The ace frowned, worried for the teen.

”Being a sneaky sod today, I see.”

    “Laysha hush!”

“I still think you need to get laid…” Laysha announced

“Oh my god, Laysha please don’t.”

Summer had a very personal goal today, she wanted to sneak up on one of her fellow ace’s known as Astrid. Every now and then, Summer sometimes followed the ace of topaz since Summer always followed people that she always found interesting. Astrid was a really interesting young lady to the explosive gunpowder fanatic, she had a pretty voice yet she always knew what she was doing. However, it also doesn’t help the fact that Summer is always worried about her guildmates. Astrid may have been a longer guild member than the young Guiyang, but that didn’t stop the fireworks expert from being the best she possibly could be. She was also an ace, it was her duty to help the other members, even if they had more experience than her.

Continuing to follow Astrid, Summer hid herself behind a tree while she had a conversation with two others, one appeared to be a male that was being accompanied by her, and another person who appeared to be shy. They were even told to show off their guild tattoos. Summer was so glad to not show hers, if she had to show hers off then she would be in deep trouble. Her guild tattoo was marked on her inner thigh, wasn’t the most convenient place to keep a guild tattoo, but in the name of shits and giggles, she will keep it there indeed.

Sighing softly, the female waited. It wasn’t probably safe anymore since the calming aura was spreading constantly, she had a few things that she was given thanks to being blessed by the chinese zodiac, constant presence sensing was one of them and the other one was sensing a relaxing aura, calming everything down the moment she was around. Fack it, she will reveal herself.

Walking towards the white haired female, she was finally within reach, she allowed her poking finger to make contact with her fellow guild mate and she smiled softly. “NI HAOOOOOO!” The female greeted as she shouted at the same time. “What’s up! We haven’t spent time together like this since… what…?? I don’t know! Hahaha!!” She wrapped her arm around her as if they were about to charge into a bar together.

    Lucius Foss Golden Phoenix B-Rank
    I   c r e a t e d   a   m o n s t e r   a   h e l l   w i t h i n   m y   h e a d

The young man guessed the young girl didn't really approve of his unforeseen rudeness, well I suppose it wouldn't really be unforeseen if you truly knew the eighteen year old. But he didn't really care, though he was in a better mood today, his mood didn't really go above his usual mild irritation. Couldn't really be sad one day and extremely happy the other, he was depressed not bipolar. His sister grabbed his wrist and pulled him along in the right direction, though he did still feel out with his cane so he wouldn't trip over something. He didn't really know if he appreciated her help or not, but I guess she was just trying to move along. As they would want to get there, to the village, before the moon was at it's peek. So the dark mage let himself be pulled along, which felt like to him as if he was being pulled around by a six year old. Astrid was so tiny already, but compared to himself she looked even tinier, and he looked even better. They were siblings, but you could clearly tell, not by blood.
It took a long time to arrive, it was quiet the whole way there. It would probably be unnerving towards normal people, but considering he wasn't normal, this didn't bother him at all. Also considering that he was used to creepy things and places like this, he was rather creepy himself if he wanted to be. They arrived at the village and stopped, he could feel the chilling air of the settling mist. The feeling of the place of eerie, and the smell was damp. Just generally an all around great place where Lucius would feel right at home. He turned his head and crimson gaze towards his sister, listening to what she was saying. Which he did notice when they arrived. It was silent, any presence of people was farther off behind walls, the feeling of the silent village was that of 'the calm before the storm'.
It almost got the assassin existed, if it was this tense, how would the fighting be? He hadn't killed anything in a long time, and he was itching for it. Though I suppose his sister doesn't really want him to kill or torture or whatever, she did add him to Golden Phoenix after all. But he was a Coming Storm and a born killer, he can't just stop his normal habits with a snap of a finger. Even if he was severely unstable in his mental state.
The blind man was so lost in his thoughts he didn't even bother listening to the girl properly, though he did hear it and was repeating in his head so he could remember. Even if it wasn't very useful information, though I suppose it could be, just not for him. He listened to the soft footsteps of the girl walking away from them, great now they were finally alone. The black mage was so done with dealing with people for today, especially people who had such a problem with speaking. Though I guess his thoughts spoke to soon, when a new person arrived.
Oh great who was this, he stepped away from his elder sibling who was just greeted by whoever this was. He guessed it was somebody from their guild, but since he didn't really socialize with his guildmates considering he rarely left Astrid's house, he was unsure. Though it could be easily assumed by how close this woman appeared to be with his sister. He gripped his cane tightly, why was there somebody else here? Couldn't they just be alone? Could she just, you know, leave? And even though they did appear friends he didn't really appreciate her so comfortably close with his sister. Though she probably did a lot of things with her friends that Lucius probably would like, even if it is just casual hugging, while he isn't around. He wasn't going to tolerate it when he was around.
He pulled up the butt of his cane, raising it over his sister's head, he planted it on the new arrival's forehead (somehow without hitting her face). Then proceeded to push her away, and luckily for the woman, he didn't use the gun that his cane partially was. And with all his kindness and totally not anti-social behavior, the boy spoke "Who the hell are you, and why are you touching Astrid" he said, speaking his sibling's name sort of like she was a very precious treasure. Though I suppose for him, she was, being the overly protective younger brother that he was.

And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain

As soon as Chantée left the two alone in the creepily cold and silent town a wave of nervousness washed over the slayer, causing goosebumps to litter her pale skin, red eyes scanning over the misty area. Being deaf, she was use to the silence. She didn't find it quite as eerie as most people thought it to be. In fact it was rather inviting and calming, reminding her of the days loud sounds didn't invade and hurt her ears. But this silence, it was... Different. A bad kind of different. It held the unknown, a dark unknown. Like something was watching them from the sidelines quietly, not making a sound, stalking its vulnerable prey and waiting for the right time to strike.
The ace hugged herself tightly, getting a sudden feeling of chills run up her body, slowly raising from her feet to her head, rubbing her arms feverishly, trying to rid them of goosebumps with warmth.
Crimson eyes looked to their left, then to the right. She couldn't shake the feeling someone... or... something was watching them. Somewhere. Just out of their sight. It was unnerving... They really needed to look around. It wouldn't be long before the curse started, and she couldn't let this creepy feeling stop them from doing that. Otherwise, well, when it came time to fight they'd be stuck without knowing the layout.
"C-Come on, Lulu. We should take a look around the- AAH" a scream erupted from the slayer's throat as something poked her back. A wave of terror instantly shot through her body like a bullet, causing the girl to jump forward a couple meters in fright, an expression of absolute fear taking over her worried look, red eyes wide and silver hair spiking up on end.
.... Wait a minute... That greeting. It was too familiar. After the quick wave of shock settled and she whipped around to see what had touched her, Astrid let out a sigh of relief, posture slouching, a hand cupping over her racing heart. "Oh, Summer... It's just you..." Wait... Summer? Why was she here? The question took a second longer than it probably should to stir in the slayer's mind.
She stood back up straight, silver eyebrows furrowing in question. But before she could even open her mouth to question the Chinese woman the brunette wrapped her arm around her, squeezing her uncomfortably close to her chest. And just being at barely five foot, Astrid was just at the perfect height for her face to be pressed against her... Ahem... Natural pillows. She endured it as the ace of moonstone explained that they hadn't hung out in a while. not knowing how to escape the grasp. This was true. Astrid was very busy these days with all sorts of various things. Simply 'hanging out' was not as easy as it used to be. Her schedule was almost always filled to the brim. The last time her and Summer had 'hung out' would probably be the winter ball two months ago... Wow... Yeah that was a long time ago... She actually felt kinda bad about it. Summer truly was a nice girl. It was a shame she didn't get to see her more and just talk and do girly things. She always seemed like the best definition of a 'girl friend'. Someone who she could take shopping and she wouldn't complain, unlike Lucius, who hated shopping and doing girly things.

Thankfully, though it was rather rude, her siblings managed to separate the woman from the silvernette, allowing the short girl to regain her balance fully with a small shake of her head. She stared at her guild mate, head cocked to the side, arms crossed over her chest. "Summer... What are you doing here? Only two people got assigned to this mission." The magic council, as far as she knew, only assigned her and Lucius to this job. No one else. So it was a little weird to find her here, especially sneaking up on them like that.

Summer continued to be herself despite being the fact that some shocked faces came to light the moment Summer made her sudden appearance. She was quite happy to see Astrid again in all reality, she missed the girl a lot and what she said felt just right… she wanted to spend more time with the silver haired female, even if their attitudes were on completely different ends of the scale. Astrid seemed to be the calmer and more sophisticated of the two, always focused on her goals and what needed to be done. Of course Summer doesn’t know her inside out, but that was what she seen of her. Meanwhile, Summer was always so happy go lucky and cheerful, she may have had a few issues regarding her personality, but that doesn’t stop her being herself.

“Yup! Sure is just me!” Summer grinned as her chuckles almost became a fit of laughter, there was only her and the other two around. The happiness only broke off then Lucius aimed something at the fireworks expert. She didn’t know what to say to him, what if she got shot?! There will be blood in the history of Golden Phoenix and it just wouldn’t be cool to be in Golden Phoenix anymore, she has already been injured enough, goddammit!

“S-Summer!” The ace of moonstone said in a panic. “Summer G-guiyang!” Her words were backed up by some nervousness, it was clear that the fireworks expert was scared. She had to say the truth now, she didn’t think she had to explain! She just wanted to be there with the others! What’s so wrong about that?? “I am touching her because I am hugging her in greeting! Heheh… c-can you please stop aiming that walking stick at me?? It’s designed for walking, now whacking.” She shook her head in a huff.

“Oooohhh, who's this man?? He looks cuuuteeee.”

“Laysha, no.” Summer sighed softly. Laysha was up to her old antics again, all her and Stella could do was stare at the flower fairy as she showed off a big grin towards the male. It was very easy to conclude that Summer was completely speechless, maybe it was best to bring Laysha less and bring Priscilla long with her, at least Priscilla was nice and well mannered compared to her sister. “We have serious matters to discuss.”

“Whattt?? THIS WAS A MISSION?!” Summer exclaimed, her shouts were clearly distinguished as her voice completely filled up the whole area. It was clear that the only ones that were around were her and the other two, and her pets of course. “I… I didn’t even know…” Summer began to panic, was her stalking useless?! “U-umm, I am SO sorry.” The fireworks didn’t even know how else to say it, her words were fumbling and getting lost in her mountain of thoughts. How does one process this??

Though reluctant to do so, the eighteen year old dropped his cane back to the ground. Took almost all of his self-control to do so though, he wanted to be here alone with his sister, not with another guildmate of his. Summer Guiyang, she said her name was, well hopefully they could convince her to leave so the two of them could continue this mission by themselves, as planned. Hopefully it wasn't to late, Lucius ignored the random voice from what he assumed to be a fairy. Summer's pet I suppose. The assassin leaned on his cane and released a sigh from his lungs, about ready to ask not so politely for the fireworks mage to leave. Until he heard something, tilting his head in the direction of the noise he listened. Darnit it was to late, though he doubted the other two could hear unless the new arrival had something to enhance her senses like he does.
"I suppose it's time" the assassin said with a grunt, lifting his cane up towards the direction of the approaching enemies that were now rustling all of the bushes and trees around them. Taking a deep breath and listening closely, the boy shot, and by the canine like yelp he guessed he hit one. Lucky shot, hopefully he could do that again, he was still getting used to the whole shooting without seeing thing. Out in the clearing, running frantically were three werewolves, who by their yelping and howling sounded rather confused about their current condition. Their current condition being a werewolf of course. The young man stopped using his cane as a gun and he unsheathed the sword and dropped the sheath. Then he held it at ready, standing protectively in front of his elder sibling. Though of course he knew she could protect herself, but it was out of habit to do so. Always protecting her even in situations she doesn't need protecting, especially these days it seemed to be the other way around. Though he tried not to think about that.

And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass

A puff of air escaped the ace's mouth loudly in a sigh. Apparently Summer had followed them here without even knowing this was a mission, a highly dangerous one at that. This was great... Not. It was already getting close to the time when the curse was about to start, judging by the high position the moon was currently in. They really didn't have time for this... Any other time? This would have been fine to some extent, ignoring the fact the woman was, you know, stalking her. But they were currently about to start a mission that was ranked one rank higher than both of them, this was lethal if not done correctly. They both had a great chance to lose a limb or two, if not their lives. They couldn't afford any distractions.
Red orbs settled on Summer softly. She would not blame the ace though. It was a little weird she had not realized this was a mission from their words at the gate, but Astrid forgave easily. She knew she would do something stupid too give the right circumstances.
"It's fine, it was a simple mistake."
She grabbed the Chinese woman's wrist with her hand, looking back up to the moon. It was high, but not high enough for the curse to start quite yet. Her lips turned thin in thought. They had some time.
"Maybe if i run fast enough i can get you to the guild and back just in time before the curse starts" the silvernette pondered aloud. She was well known for her speed, all thanks to her magic. White Dragon Slayers were infamous for their ungodly speed and massive manage output. If she focused a lot into her power there was always the possibility she could get Summer back to the guild and here just in time for the werewolves to turn. But yet, could the woman handle such extreme speeds? Astrid would be fine, she was use to going as fast as a bullet train by now thanks to her training. But what about someone who wasn't use to such speeds? Surely it would rip them in half with the force alone. And then, there was the whole thing of leaving her brother behind... Maybe it was all too risky.
The girl was only snapped out of her thought when she heard her sibling's comment, looking back down from the creamy moon to where he was standing. He grabbed his cane and looked towards the darkness.
"Something the matter?" she questioned, wondering what had stirred the assassin from his quietness. It was only when she too focused could she hear it. Growling. Crap, they were too late. The curse had started. But the moon was still so low in the sky. It seems she couldn't count on her children's books for all of her monster knowledge.
She let go of Summer's wrist, turning to the firework mage with a click of her tongue.
"Escape by yourself or fight with us. Either way, i'll buy you some time."
A small ball of light formed within one of the musician's hands, about the size of a hand grenade.
Spying Lucius' shot from his cane the girl too threw her attack at the spot the three werewolves were busy yelping at one another. A small explosion sounded and a blinding wave of light consumed the area while dealing damage to the canines, causing confused and scared yelps and whimpers. This was to buy Summer time, with their escaping or attacking. She wasn't sure which one the woman would end up doing, she just hoped to God she knew what she was doing.

Seems the other two didn’t respond to Summer’s sudden appearance so well. Maybe she should really go back, the man most certainly did not appreciate her around, why?? She did absolutely nothing wrong apart from following someone who she wanted to hang out with so bad, is that so hard to understand?? Apparently so! It was too late now though, Summer was there, she didn’t have any other means of getting back except by a speed spell which isn’t the most effective thing in the world, she also has an ability which was blessed to her that increased her speed, but even then, she only wanted to use that for emergencies.

Suddenly, the female's wrist was grabbed by the other girls and then she was spoken to regarding her speed, but she didn’t take much notice in it as Summer started to feel certain presences around her that didn’t come from Astrid or the man himself. This started to worry Summer slightly, but she knew fine well that there was nothing that she could do now. Just before she could mention it however, she seen the man's cane suddenly point at something random. Summer knew it was one of the presences that she sensed, but she wasn’t too sure what it was exactly the current plan of action that was going to be taken from Astrid herself. Oh god, she wasn’t going to let them fight on their own. She ran straight in after the little burst of explosion happened and the female then grabbed onto one of the wolves forcefully, covered them in her gunpowder by smothering them with her own hands and threw them into the air, the forceful transition was weird yet gallant at the same time, Summer then waited for the right moment before they were out of reach and then she threw a firework shot towards them. Now it was for the last thing! She clicked her fingers, resulting in a firework explosion.

Summer watched them start to crash down back to land, but she had to keep herself alert, the other wolves seemed to have caught on with what she was doing and she roundhouse kicked them both, which caused firework explosions to collide with their face. This caused them to be shoved over to the side in confusion, just in time for the wolf that Summer exploded to land with a THUD.

“Looks like you decided to fight, Summer!” Laysha exclaimed as Summer then somersaulted backwards, just to get behind Astrid and Lucius once more to see what they were going to do.

“I’m in too deep now!” The fireworks expert exclaimed to the little fairy. “I could’ve gotten worse and attracted even more attention than what is needed, but I have standards and I know I would never do that for the world.” She admitted as she shook her head. “At least the wolf is knocked out now… or so it seems, he isn’t getting back up after all”

“Well, you never were one for killing, Summer…”

“That’s because I love making things explode and burn instead.” Summer pondered on a bit. She wasn’t sure if the others were going to agree with her fighting with them, but she was sure that she could be some sort of asset to them.

    Name: Human Firework
    Rank: B
    Type: Fireworks, offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: Grabbing an enemy, Summer will smother them in gunpowder before throwing them high into the air. While the enemy is in the air, Summer will then click her fingers before the target explodes just like a firework! The firework deals B ranked damage and if the user cannot break their fall, then they will be dealt C ranked damage upon them hitting the floor. Summer cannot activate the explosion if she runs off past 50 meters.
    Strengths:
Combos this can lead up to some pretty nice combos
Damage this deals B rank damage and can deal C rank damage if the target doesn’t break their fall somehow.
    Weaknesses:
Invulnerable While Summer has the target grabbed, they could attack her with their magic because they aren’t bound.
Watchful eye Summer has to watch how high they are because they could simply go on the floor for C ranked damage if Summer isn’t watching.
Allies the targets allies could simply break their fall by catching them in order to break their fall, or have some magic that could provide the same results.
Ranks the falling damage doesn’t affect A ranks or higher.

    Name: Firework shot
    Rank: D
    Type: Fireworks, Offensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: 0
Description: When the spell is cast, Summer will place one hand out as her hand turns into complete sparks before shooting of a firework. The colour of sparks will be completely randomized and when shot it can be a different colour. It isn’t an area of effect spell. But it is a very fast spell depending the force of the wind. The maximum range for this is 15 meters with the speed at 7.5 per second but as stated it is dependent on the wind. If the wind is going in the same way that the firework is going, it will go faster. However, if the firework is going in the opposite direction it will go slower.

Just like a real firework, it makes a firework noise before make small firework-like before colliding with the target, causing a very small firework explosion.
    Strengths:
Speed The spell is very fast depending depending on the wind. (7.5 per second)
    Weaknesses:
Weak this spell is relatively weak as it doesn’t take a lot of channelling time to cast it. But it does make up for it with speed.
Smoke it can leave a stream of smoke behind like an actual firework and can spread depending on how many times this spell has been cast. This could lead to some eyes being hurt from the smoke.
Dodging this spell can be easily dodged by others because it isn’t missile-based.
