In battle, we can see that his demeanor doesn’t change much, and if possible, Atsuro would compromise a pacifistic end. Not saying that he loves a challenge, but prefers to avoid deadly confrontation if necessary. When engaged, the wily Atsuro focuses on self-reinforcement abilities that allow him to dispatch enemies with speed and precision. Never losing his smile, he can be a comparable foe when faced against one-on-one.
Conversely, there are times when Atsuro gets incredibly serious. Although rare, when he becomes like this, he directs all attention towards the enemy. At times like this, he will force himself to surpass his limits, which often ends up with him being hospitalized. Still, he is a man who never loses sight of his goals, and puts his teammates ahead of his own life.
Even after a battle, he extends kindness to his opponent. He is not against nor for killing, but allows them to atone for their sins or mistakes. Killing would be his last resort.
Since his abilities mainly focus on self-reinforcement, Atsuro often takes the vanguard position in battle. In battle, he is perceptive, allowing him to pinpoint weaknesses or make split-decision plans. Though he anxiously tells people he is not a leader-like at all, the excitement of battle makes him forget his worries and allows him to fall into the rhythm of taking charge.
On the flip side, he is more than open to follow orders (and much rather prefers the latter) and follows them to the T. Unless the command is to abandon his teammates, Atsuro will never deviate from his position. Thanks to his braveheart persona he takes on in battle, he is just as suited to be a soldier as he is a leader. His tenaciousness brings morale to the group, usually making him the star of the fight.

Adventure: His love for it is practically hereditary, as both his parents used to be fearless adventurers and dungeon-raiders. This also means he loves challenges too! Plus, he just loves to move around.
Solitary: When one wishes to find Atsuro, they will often find him lazing around in a field alone or practicing practical skills in his room. Being alone makes him comfortable, since he can be himself without fear of judgment.
Yellow: This one may sound arbitrary, but the color yellow reminds him of many important things in his life. His mother’s hair, the color of the sun, gold, etc.
Sewing: Surprisingly, Atsuro is a wiz at sewing. So was his father, who caught him how to sew. Ever since he learned, he couldn’t stop, and he’s pretty damn good at it.
Ueno: That’s his best friend! They’ve known each other for 5 years and together they joined the Golden Phoenix.
Dislikes:
Crowds: Atsuro is never good around too many people; it makes him anxious. By proxy, he also hates being the center of attention.
Bugs: While he loves the outdoors and nature, bugs never bode well with him.
Bullies: More specifically, people who pick on weaker people. He can’t stand people who flaunt their status and use it to belittle others.

Pursuit of Happiness: Why does he adventure? Because it’s fun, and it makes him happy!
People: Not just his friends, but everyone in his life has motivated him in some way; even the naysayers. He is encouraged by his friends, and encouraged by the people who try to put him down. It feels all the better to prove them wrong.

As for clothing, on casual days, he likes to don a brown wool-lined peacoat and cargo pants held up by a leather belt with two little fanny pack. He keeps useful items in there. Plus, a utility knife just in case. For shoewear, he wears boots. For accessories, he wears a copper bangle with a wing-like pattern that fits comfortably around his wrist.
When it’s time to work, he wears his specially made uniform: a black long coat with white fringes, plus a hood lined with wool. Black gloves and brown wooden sandals. His pants are puffy and cut off above his ankles. Additionally, they are equipped with heavy leather straps that hang loosely on the sides. He keeps his swords behind his waist.
