Part Four: Cemetery Drive.
The two Wizards stalked towards the cemetery at the end of the city, it seemed like they walked for hours before the tombstones were in sight. Itsu cracked a wide smile on her beautiful face and almost ran to the front gate of the cemetery but looked back at Mashyuu and sheepishly looked down at the ground and kicked a small rock.
"...I just want to see what is over there and see if we can figure out what the hell is up with this guy. I don't like him at all." Itsu explained. Mashyuu laughed and patted his friends shoulder comfortingly.
"It's fine. I understand what you mean, but we can't go rushing into anything that might be a trap, I hope you can remember that when we get inside the place." Mashyuu and Itsu stepped past the broken gates of the cemetery and stopped, the area filled with moans that seemed to echo and bounce off the stone tombstones.
Without question Itsu grasped her blade and hugged it tight in her hand while Mashyuu produced his bow and took aim far down the cemetery. He could already see movement and a lot of it. Mashyuu narrowed his gaze, closing an eye while taking a deep breath to steady his aim. A large magical arrow appeared between his fingers as he pulled back the bowstring.
"Sniper Elite." The earth Wizard whispered and unleashed his arrow. The magical blast rocketed through the sky, slamming into head after head of zombies until it dug deep into the last zombie in range of the arrows shot, exploding and causing the zombie to blow up, drawing the attention of all the zombies.
The graveyard started to roar with the agony of zombies realizing that their cohorts had died. Itsu knew what was coming and waved her dagger in a strange pattern, summoning skeletal soldiers.
"Call of the dead: Huey, Dewy and Luey!" Three skeletons with swords rose up out of the ground and started to chatter happily among one another while looking to Itsu and tilting their heads.
"Okay guys, all I need you to do is keep me safe okay? Don't let any undead get close to me." The skeletons looked at one another and poked one another in the eye sockets and laughed then nodded up and down while looking at Itsu.
The ground started to rumble under them and Mashyuu started to fire arrow after arrow into the darkness, hitting zombies left and right, sometimes killing them and sometimes seemingly doing nothing to them. Mashyuu started to sweat, while the firing of arrows was near effortless it did start to tire out his arms. Itsu ran to Mashyuu's side and opened her mouth.
"Ghost Touch!" She shouted, unleashing a blast of magical energy that sent a small group of the monsters flying through the air, together Mashyuu and Itsu had slowly thinned the herd that were starting to run at the Sabertooth Wizards.
"Itsu, I'm going deeper, stay here and hit any stragglers, try to thin them out with your ghost touch blasts." Mashyuu ordered the woman and ran into the cemetery.
After sprinting for a moment Mashyuu slid to a stop while dropping to a knee and aiming at a small cluster of zombies.
"Hail of Arrows!" he shouted, pulling his bowstring back and firing a blast of energy that rained from his bow like a shower out, slamming into the zombies before him, either blowing them back or killing them outright. As the last zombie fell and stopped moving Mashyuu stood up again and allowed his bow to return to the cross chain wrapped around his wrist. As he did this smaller zombies cleared the way around Mashyuu, making room for a massive zombie, the size of witch Mashyuu had never seen before.
"Shit." Mashyuu whispered while drawing Excalibur. He gripped the handle with both hands and decided he needed to make the first strike against the monster that was nearly three feet taller than he was. He placed his blade behind him and let if flare with brilliant energy.
"Kings.. The energy from his sword whirled, twisted and started to slide Mashyuu on the ground.
Charge!" He shouted. The magical blade launched Mashyuu forward at a rapid speed, he pulled his arm forward and stabbed with it, stopping right before he would have ran through the zombie. The end of his sword lit up and fired a blast straight through the zombie, doing what Mashyuu thought would be a killing blow, but the blast seemed to do little more than bug the beast.
"Double shit." He muttered under his breath. Before the zombie had a chance to act Mashyuu slashed up the belly of the beast while he jumped backwards, narrowly avoiding a slam from the monsters fist. Its clawed hand cleaved the ground under it, sending stone high into the air. Mashyuu landed and inhaled, swallowing the rock and restoring some of his power.
Mashyuu sighed, it looked like he was okay in terms of being faster than the beast but if he got hit it would really hurt, maybe even kill him. Mashyuu whipped his sword around, cut the air around him and backed up a few steps. The monster roared and pounded its chest then charged like a gorilla at Mashyuu! The Wizard jumped to the left, his left foot touching down while his arm slashed up, cutting through the meaty flesh of the monster but it managed to swing and catch Mashyuu in the side, knocking him aside like a small baseball. Mashyuu was hit so hard that he was lifted off the ground but landed on his feet, slid backwards and stopped while shaking, his arms numb from barely getting them up in time to block the strike and save his life. Mashyuu found his grip on the hilt of the blade and looked at the brute who was patting its arm to try to sooth the burn it felt from Mashyuu's golden light. It snarled and looked down at Mashyuu in annoyance then picked up a dead zombie and hurled it at Mashyuu. The earth Wizard slashed his blade through the body of the zombie, cutting it in half with no effort. The Earth Wizard lifted his arms up high and called out.
"Kings Cleave!" his hands dragged the sword down, slashing the sky and unleashing a massive blast that swallowed up the monster, leaving a billowing stack of smoke where the brute had once stood.
