"You do know you have enough money to get food without having to lower yourself to these street rat ways, correct?" The Nekomata's ever so whimsical speech entered the young feline's mind. She knew she had enough money, of course. She always had enough for basic necessities such as food. Being a Maneki Neko people always threw money at her feet after she finished their jobs, most of the time even doubling her reward. It was just another part of the cat curse. A part of it she didn't really mind. Other than the cat ears and tail. Those she could deal without.
But, Mia supposed there was still a little bit of street rat still in her. Now that she had money she had no intentions of actually spending any of it. If she could, she would hold onto it as long as possible. After all, if she could get something for free why would she want to pay for it? She would rather save it for the things she couldn't get away with begging for.
The small, white feline strutted along the busy streets of Rose Garden, weaving in between the feet of the passing people carefully as to not get stepped on. Yellow orbs rolled up to scan each passing sign, looking for a good target.
"Ya, i know. But i've always liked revisiting my old ways every once in a while." She told him to hopefully shut him up without anymore questions, not wanting the youkai to know her hidden reasons. He'd probably call her foolish for not spending her well-earned money, or some other insulting words. And honestly Mia wasn't up for his abuse today. Not that she was up for it any other day, but this day in particular she really didn't want to hear his snide and condescending words. So this excuse would hopefully shut him up long enough to get this done. She could feel her stomach start to rumble.
She stopped when a fancy-looking sign caught her attention. A fluffy tail rose up in the air, the tip bending curiously as she spotted the sign above the doorway of a building.
"S... Si... S..."
"Silver Moon Inn" Neko completed.
"Yeah, that. Sounds pretty. Bet they have some fancy stuff in there." That's how it usually worked. If a place looked fancy then they were probably going to have some fancy drinks and food in there too. Maybe they had salmon. That would be a treat. She hasn't had that in a while.
The petite cat nudged the door open with her head and strolled on in, mouth gaped open to fully take in the smell. Her mouth began to water, able to smell the food even from the entrance. "Jackpot" she smiled to herself, scanning over the full tables. Business sure was booming, which meant the food here was probably some of the best around.
Heading straight for the bar at the back of the inn Mia jumped from the floor to one of the seats before finally jumping on top of the counter. Sitting down as neatly as she could the mage would gaze at the current person serving the drinks, looking at them with round, pleading eyes.
"Merow~"
