    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    Link to Job Approval

Rei was walking through the town of mongolia, wearing her full suit of armor. It completely hid her gender, voice, and just overall appearance. She was almost to the docks, where she planned on meeting a man she had talked with through letters a week ago or so. He put out a job request to help him out, even though the split of the prize wasn't even... Rei was practically broke, and needed some cash for a place she could maybe rent out for a while. according to what he had said, this "one piece" treasure was said to be loaded, and hidden somewhere on divide island. She agreed to go find it and split it 60% and 40% with the man who was giving her a free boat ride over. She was thinking of threatning him in the end and making it the other way around, but she'd figure that out later.

Rei approched the dock and recognized the man from his picture on the job wanted paper she had carried here with her. she walked down to the ferry boat he was sitting in, as it rocked back and forth in the waves. "oy! I'm here" she said as she walked out onto the slightly wobbly wooden dock. The ferry tied to it by a hefty knot in a rope. He looked up, having his arms folded and chewing on a piece of wheat between his teeth. he was a short, older, traditional looking man. "ah, just in time. hop in" He said. Rei jumped into the boat and sat on a seat in the very front. The man turned on the engine, as they started to slowly make their way out of the marina. he seemed a bit on edge as he looked at rei. because of her reflective goggles she had over her eyes, he couldnt tell if she was making eye contact with him or not. "so.. divide island, correct? you do have the map so I can find my way to it?" Rei asked him.

A bead of sweat dripped down his forehead in the hot ocean sun as he sighed. "I-I did have it.. but... A gang of pirates stole it from me two days ago. They're probably already looking for the treasure on the island already. You'll have to find them and get the map back." He said. Rei grunted as the boat began to catch speed and the wind picking up. "tch.. fine. But for the extra labor, I hope you'll willing to split the findings more fairly with me" She said in an intimidating way, hoping to scare him a little. she could feel some sort of tension between them as they sped through the dark ocean waters.

The island happened to be pretty far out, and was a few hours by ferry to get there. Knowing this, Rei decided to catch up on her lack of sleep from the night before. But she was woken up by the small man shaking her shoulder. "We're here" He told her. Rei sat up and looked at the island. It must've been a longer trip than she thought, as the moon was full and shining brightly over the island. stars flickering in the black sky. "i'll come back to get you in three days at sunset, if your not back by then... ill assume your dead or haven't found the map yet. if your not there in time, you'll have to find a different way back to Mongolia." He told her. Rei hopped off the boat and onto the cool beach sand. "fair enough." She waved goodbye to him over her shoulder, looking up into the forest that laid beyond the beach. she could see the huge crevice where the island got its nickname a mile or so to her left. She decided to have a look around, and figure out a way to find the pirates who took this map to the "One Piece".

Rei looked around the woods after finally getting off the damp beach sand and harvested some wood and made a small fire. She wasn't hungry.. she didn't really feel like eating anything. she always felt more comfortable with her helmet on anyways. She sat on the ground playing with a stick in the fire. She'd need her energy for tomorrow, so she decided it would be best for her to just sleep through the night and figure everything out the next day. And so, she waited for fatigue to take her mind, so she could sleep in peace.

Lightning erupted in a part of the forest area. It was not like regular lightning though because it was black in color and had purple shine to it. If anyone had tried to find where the lighting had struck and succeeded they would have seen the dual eyed demon standing over a defeated wyvern. The wyvern's body was still being shocked by the electricity that had hit it with small bits of static coming off of its body. Cirven was in better condition than the beast but that did not mean he was at one hundred percent. He had been running around the island fighting what he could as a sort of training for his new magic and abilities which took a toll on his body from the constant fighting. "I swear the creatures here are just push overs. I can't really fully grasp this magic if things keep going this way." He lifted his hand as he spoke and watched as the black electricity danced over his arm.

He was about to start to leave when he heard a growl coming from behind him. He quickly thought of how he had just lowered his guard while he was in thought over things and that where he was was not the place for doing something like that. Another wyvern quickly came through some of the trees near him and attempted to chomp a chunk out of him. Cirven was able to turn around fast enough to where he was able to catch the open mouth of the beast before it could bite a chunk out of him. The beast became frantic and swung its head around only for Cirven to keep his grip through using his static cling spell. "Do you charge for rides or...?" Cirven spoke out sarcastically as he was flung around but stayed connected to the wyvern. This only made the beast become more erratic and it then rammed its head forward through the forest with Cirven leading the way like some sort of battering ram. He hit tree after tree causing a lot of noise from him taking the pain and the trees breaking until he was suddenly put into an open area where he could safely release his grip on the creature and move to its side where he created some distance between them. "Okay... That was not as fun as I thought it would be.." He panted from the treacherous ride he had just been forced to take.

The wyvern rushed at him again but it was different this time because the demon was ready for him. He leap into the air so that he would get above the creature and then released a powerful shockwave of electricity from his body that shocked the creature to the point where it fell to the ground dead. He landed on his feet and looked towards the damage he had caused. "I wonder if the crew wants some more fried wyvern...?" He pondered to himself about taking the beast's carcass to be cooked at the hideout. He had brought the Black Sails crew some wyvern meat before and it was gone in a day due to how good it was for them. He guessed with what they had on the island for exotic beasts that most of them had to taste great like that. He thought he should maybe find a twin headed giant turtle to taste the meat of next time but before he could think anymore he suddenly felt exhausted and fell to the ground. "Did... I.. Overdo it... That much...? Guess I gotta sleep it off.." He tried to use his fingers placed in his mouth to whistle out but he passed out quickly as if he did not have to worry at all about anything happening to him which he didn't because through the trees he had just been sent through viciously his giant serpent dragon companion, Zinnath came through to check on him. She quickly recognized he was sleep and coiled herself up near him to protect him through the night. He was lucky to have a friend like her because who knows what all that noise could have woken up or brought to him....

just as Rei was on the edge of sleep, her body's natural instincts kicked in. Waking her up again and she looked left and right around the fire, then behind her. nothing. She gritted her teeth, standing up and taking a full three hundred and sixty degree turn to see if anything or anyone was lurking in the shadows. but nothing seemed relatively close by, and she didn't feel like her herself was in danger. The reason her body had woken her up was the noise in the distance. It sounded like someone was engaged it combat with something... perhaps it was the pirates that stole the map she needed to find the treasure hidden on this very island.

Without hesitation, Rei jumped to her feet and left her small camp. It wasn't really much of a camp, considering all she had made was a small fire. It should go out by morning, anyways. Rei jumped across the sand swiftly as she could even with the sand absorbing the shock of her feet making her significantly slower. She was still in her full armor, but with the cover of the night... there was plenty of darkness to give her the upper hand with her shadow and resist magic. Rei could hear that the fighting had actually began to slow as she got closer. she had to figure out who it was, that damn ferry driver was stupid enough to not even give her a description of this pirate looked like, at this point, everyone she encountered was a possible suspect to be the same pirate who stole the map to the one piece treasure.

Rei began to slow her pace from a full spring down even on to her knees, she went into the cover of the nearby tropical woods to seek a place to hide. she was close, she could sense it. but it was more than just one person...there was a larger presence as well. as she got within sight range, she saw... what she could only assumed looked like a giant dragon water looking serpent, it looked as if it was protecting something. Possibly.. the pirate she had been looking for? she assumed that this pirate however wasn't very bright, she was surprised to say the least, but it was nothing she didn't think she could handle. From the safety of woods, Rei got out a few throwing knives, and prepared to injure the beast in order to get it to uncurl itself and reveal who was inside. She took a knife, and threw it directly at the giant snake creature. piercing right through its scales and almost six inches into its side. Rei awaited for it to shreik and naturally recoil. "Come out and face me, pirate." she muttered to herself, getting ready to jump out and attack.

The Quartermaster was resting while his partner watched over him. Zinnath did not want any harm to come his way at all so she was keeping herself awake to make sure that he stayed okay. She might have been a beast but she was smarter than most people and knew how to use her head. Cirven always thought this had something to do with when she was mutated from her regular snake form into the dragon serpent she was now from her exposure to the water dragon, Hydrianna during the time his sister spent training under her. It was as if Zinnath had gotten some sort of training too while Aayla was trained by Hydrianna. A sort of training that taught her how to protect those she cherished.

Zinnath caught the scent of something as well as feel the vibrations in the ground of something coming near them which caused her to hiss in anticipation for what was about to come. She suddenly turned her head away from where she was looking as the knife flew towards her. She was not paying attention to all the angles that any enemies could come from and was only watching where she senses the most movement. The knife dug into her scales far enough to cause the giant serpent to let out a weak growl from the pain.

The sound was not exactly loud but it was a sound that Cirven had heard before and dreaded hearing because it meant that someone hurt his closest friend so naturally the sound woke Cirven up and just as quickly his body was enveloped by the black electricity he controlled. "Who did this...?" Cirven's voice was serious and was completely different from his usual tone showing how angered he was. He started to hear voices talking on the other side of some trees not too far away him with his higher sense of hearing and quickly dashed that way.

"Did one of you throw something? I did not say anything abou-" Before the short man could finish speaking a electric claw swiped across his back from out of one of the trees he was near. The attack cut through his clothes and skin while sending black electricity throughout his body. The man fell forward to the ground from the pain that ravaged his body but managed to stay conscious somehow. Cirven then came out from behind the tree. "Which one of you mini-pieces of trash hurt her?" Cirven's dual colored eyes looked over the three short men. "Did what? You have a problem with us or something because we are height challenged!? Screw you! We will cut you done to our size!" Both of the standing short men pulled out large knives that actually looked more similar to short swords for their size and moved to attack the demon. Cirven was in no mood to play with them and took up one of his Anima Messor stances with his hands crossed and brought up next to his head as he hunched over. "It doesn't matter either way because you are trespassing here." The form of what most people would think was the actual grim reaper, Death formed from off of Cirven after the purple aura of his intent came off of him while in his stance. "Disappear." Cirven dashed forward quicker than his two opponents could react and hit all of them, including the downed opponent, with a quick slash as he passed them. The power of the attack was so strong that trees near them split and fell to the ground. Cirven looked at the now unconscious bodies to see who they were and noticed their clothes were pirate-like. He also found that they were part of a pirate group called 'The Blackstache Pirates' from an insignia on their clothes that was accompanied by the name. "Why are there pirates here other than Black Sails? Are they trying to take over Divide Island..?" He pondered to himself once he started to calm down a bit from the whole ordeal.

Each of his opponent's were now down on the ground probably somewhere between living and dead from the attack but he did not care. All he cared about was how his friend was injured. He then started to head back to check on Zinnath. While Cirven was dealing with the short men a vulcan dressed like a pirate and with the insignia of a pirate group embroidered into the cloth it wore showed up near the now injured Zinnath with a sinister grin on its face.

Post by Rei Katsura 15th February 2017, 8:41 pm

Rei watched as the serpent let out a low growl in pain, unraveling to reveal a man inside with multi colored eyes. He stood, seeming extremely angry that someone had hurt his companion. she hid deeper within the bushes, hoping he wouldn't attack her first. she was hoping to catch him by surprise... but much to her dismay, he began to walk towards her location. Making her shrink even deeper into the depths of the shrubbery around her. But much to her surprise, he mistook the other voices coming from downwind to be the possible attackers to his pet. she listened to their conversation from her hiding spot, continuing to try and keep herself hidden. The sheer darkness of the night was helpful to hide her as well. but she could tell by the very unique magic that this man was using... he was no force to be reckoned with. She'd have to beat him using purely strategy and luck.

Rei gritted her teeth, this was going to be a harder fight to win than she had hoped. but she was for sure it had to be him, he seemed smart enough to be able to steal that map and steal the treasure. she needed that money.. she was nearly broke. without it, she didn't know where'd shed be sleeping for the next couple weeks. but.. what did he mean by trespassing? did someone privately own this island? she had no idea, but on top of that, who the hell was black sails? she'd never heard of them before. were they a guild? a treasure seeking guild of dark hearted bandits? she shouldn't be so quick to judge... but through her life, she had learned it would be better to assume the worst in other and learn they aren't as bad than the other way around. Letting her guard down at anytime, anywhere, could ultimately lead to her final downfall. Trust no one, and make your enemies fear you. It was a moto she had taught herself, but it was more of a defense than anything.. she just didn't want to get hurt ever again.

but as Rei was lost in her own thoughts, a small mindless vulcan jumped out of the woods with it's eyes locked on the serpent. It could interfere with her plans, so she decided to take it out. She had the urge to mutilate something, and this might just tame her cravings.

Rei jumped out of her hiding spot, as she was still pretty well hidden by the darkness of the night. only the pale blue light of the moon could make her figure stand out from the rest of the black night. she attacked, sending a pulsating shock towards the vulcan, kind of like an invisible explosion that sent him flying into the air. before she jumped up the 15 feet to meet him, she used her spiked knuckles to peat its face to a pulse before slamming her foot down on its head, sending it flying at incredible speed towards the ground. it hit the beach sand as it flew everywhere, blood staining the small grains of earth. She could care less if the filthy creature was dead or alive. she landed on the ground herself rather softly, proud of her destruction. Usually being the weaker one in a fight, it was nice to just completely demolish an opponent even if it was completely unfair. yeah, she had put herself out in the open, but it wasn't like the guy was looking at her or anything. right? He seemed like he was still fighting those other pirates. But she couldnt let her guard down just yet.

Post by Cirven 24th February 2017, 1:11 am

Cirven was just returning from dealing with the short men when Rei had just hit the vulcan down into the ground from the air, in a bloody pulp. He did not completely understand who she was but it had looked like she had fought against one of the enemy because the vulcan wore the clothes of the pirates he had just dealt with. Even so, he had to be cautious about it all and he glared at her with both of his different colored orbs. "Nice job with that guy and thanks for protecting Zinny. I don't know if I can trust you though because most people who come to this island only cause trouble so lets start with introducing ourselves. I'm Cirven. Who are you?" He spoke to her with a warmer tone than he had used with the short men earlier but was still on guard while he watched her and moved closer to Zinnath with the body of the vulcan laid out behind him.

He was going to wait for the newcomer to speak but he suddenly heard something behind him and quickly jumped to the side barely dodging an attack from the vulcan. "Looks like you didn't do a good enough job. Let me help." He spoke as he made some distance between him and the vulcan and then knelt down where he placed his left hand on his right forearm. A current of black electricity built up over his right arm and continued to do so until the area around him was being struck by it and shocked. The vulcan looked on in a sort of fear from the sight and the demon looked up at his target. "You are quick, right? Show me what you can do!" He dashed forward quickly showing that he was not some regular person at all by how quickly he could move. The vulcan tried to move away from him but was quickly shown the difference in their speeds and Cirven swung out his right hand which sent the black electricity he had been building, out and across the body of the vulcan. The attack caused the vulcan's body to be ravaged by the black electricity Cirven had created and it then dropped to the ground twitching as it still continued to suffer from small sparks.

"So..." Cirven returned his focus back onto Rei as he thought the vulcan was defeated. "Who are you? And why are you on this island?" He shot questions at her. Her answers determined what he would do next and if he would see her as a possible ally or another enemy. After she would answer though the vulcan would get back up from the attacks it had suffered and attack her again. It was actually much more durable than the short men that Cirven had dealt with earlier and it was much more resilient in what it wanted to do which after being attacked the way it was, was to hurt/kill the two mages near it.
