Wedding Crashers (Job-Kyrin&Kaleb)

Walking along the streets of Rose Garden Kyrin tugged at the collar to his shirt. Like most young men this was a monkey suit to him, and a bit too close fitting to suit him. He unbuttoned the top button on his collar to allow him to breathe. It would be easy to button up once the job was done. With a shake of his head he remembered their job.

An ex-boyfriend that couldn’t let go. And a thug by the sounds of the job request. Those types always try to control their significant others, and that could go for either gender. He knew a girl back in his hometown that would almost beat her ‘current’ boyfriend into submission on a daily basis. This sounded like the same. Only this one had a gang of 'friends'. Some used magic, and some did not. But all knew street fighting, which was something Kyrin admitted he knew little of. He grew up running away from fights instead of dealing with them. It's why he chose summoning magic.

Glancing towards where the wedding was to take place Kyrin altered his path in that direction. He hoped that his companion would follow as he looked towards him. ”Do you remember who our contact was for this job? I don’t know if it was the bride’s mother or her maid of honor.” One of them was to tell them where the gang could be found usually, and hopefully get them to stop their desire to attack the wedding. He hoped they could talk them out of it. Jealous ex’s were not something he wanted to make a habit of putting down.

As Kaleb was walking with his companion down the streets of Rose garden he couldn't help but notice how uncomfortable Kyrin seemed to be in his attire. He knew most men absolutely dreaded wearing a suit and tie but Kaleb he really didn't mind. But he was eager to find this ex boyfriend and his band of thugs so he could knock some sense into them because that's what kaleb had grown up doing. He was always fighting someone while he was growing up. It had become second nature to him to fight whatever enemy came his way. Punch first and ask questions later was his mantra and he wasn't about to change it. He was thinking in his head about all that he would do to make sure these men would leave Mr. Goldstar and his soon to be wife alone when he noticed his companion changed the course he was headed in so Kaleb quickly altered his path to follow him and that's when kyrin said, ”Do you remember who our contact was for this job? I don’t know if it was the bride’s mother or her maid of honor.”
Kaleb kept walking but a puzzled look came over his face trying to remember what the job request had said, Then it hit him!
"It was the brides mother wasn't it?" Kaleb asked fairly certain that his memory didn't fail him, But he wasn't one hundred percent certain because he always had a bad memory when it came to things. So hopefully Kyrin would be able to validate his claim. If not then they'd just have to go and ask the brides maid and the brides mother to find out who had hired them.

Kyrin thought about it for a moment and shook his head. Something about it was off, but he wasn’t sure what. With a small swipe of his hand he brought up the holographic screen with the keyboard. After a few typing he found the entry he made about the job. ”Here it is. Her mom hired us, but her brides maid was friends with her ex and knows where he can be found.” Looking up at the party Kyrin gave a shrug. ”Looks like we were both right.”

Glancing at the people milling about he found the ones they were looking for. You could always tell the bride’s mother before a wedding; she was the one who looks like she is a hyperactive chipmunk. It was something his father told him when Kyrin was at his older brother’s wedding. So Kyrin chose the most nervous woman there. She was also accompanied by a younger woman who looked almost as frantic. ”Unless I’m mistaken, I think they are the ones we are looking for.”

Kyrin approached the two women and introduced himself and Kaleb and the guild they were from. ”Thank heavens someone has come. I was afraid this wedding was going to be a disaster.” The older woman looked flustered as she glanced nervously around the preparations. ”I knew that man was trouble the first time I saw him.”

The younger woman put her hand on the older woman’s arm. ”No one could predict how bad Jacob was. I thought he was a nice guy for the longest time, until he got with Sarah.” She let out a sigh and turned to the two mages. ”He is usually found near the Haunted Square. The dim light makes it easier for him to do his ‘business’.” She looked a bit worried. ”Be careful. He has some goons that like to do his dirty work for him. I think they might also cause trouble.”

Kyrin gave her a nod and tried to smile at the older woman reassuringly. But like most of his smiles this one seemed forced. The bride’s mother didn’t seem very reassured, so he glanced at Kaleb. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed some odd movement outside of the preparations.

'Monster Dice' :

Kaleb stood patiently listening to the bridesmaid speak of Jacob, Kaleb already didn't like him. Once she finished speaking Kaleb silently gave her a nod and smiled at her letting her know that he would not allow this day to be ruined by Jacob. Suddenly he saw Kyrin glance back at him, Kaleb felt his neck hairs raise slightly, so he turned to look over his shoulder, he then saw 3 suspicious looking men headed straight towards the door in a triangular formation. The one in the front was fairly tall, above 6 feet if Kaleb had to guess, He had sandy blonde hair that was medium length and very messy ,blue eyes to match and he was built like a tank. Kaleb already didn't like the guy in front he had such a smug look on his face, Kaleb hoped he got the chance to wipe it off of him. The man to the left of the front was considerably shorter, no taller than 5'5 he had long black hair tied back in a pony tail, dark brown eyes, so brown that his pupils blend right in. This man was very wiry and looked to be very quick. The third and final man was about as tall as kaleb was, so about 5'9 with brown hair but his hair was in what looked like a military hair cut, with hazel eyes, he had a decent build but nothing seemed to spectacular about him. Kaleb looked away from the men and closed his eyes. He let out a small sigh and smirked. He looked at kyrin and said, "How much do you wanna bet those are some of the jokers we gotta take care of?"

A small smirk appeared on Kyrin’s lips, this one genuine for Kaleb. ”No bet. But I bet they were here to scope out the wedding and report back to their boss.” He looked back to preparations and the number of chairs being placed on both sides and sighed. ”If he does attack it will be a disaster. Too many people could be hurt.” He motioned to the door leading out and turned away from the preparations. They had a job to do, and this one he will do gladly.

Once they were out of the area Kyrin looked around for the three that just left. He saw them to the right heading for the Haunted Square. He knew that the three saw him and Kaleb, and most likely would be reported back to their boss. And while he would like nothing more than to punch the guy’s lights out, Kyrin knew that violence didn’t solve everything. A hope against hope told him to talk first and crack heads later. But it was going to be on their terms, and not an ambush waiting for them.

Turning his palm to the air Kyrin spoke quietly and clearly as they walked. ”We can’t let them report to the ex before we have a chance to talk to him. I say we knock them out as quickly as we can without alerting him.” He shook his head and sighed. ”Though talking may do no good.” His eyes firmed as he focused his magic. ”But if we don’t try then we are no better than the dark guilds.”

The three before them were about to enter an opening in the crowd of people about 20ft across. It wasn’t big to start with, but Kyrin felt it will grow bigger soon. ”I’ll stop them. Can you take on one or two without involving innocent people?” He didn’t know Kaleb’s magic, but now really wasn’t the time to ask. The three were almost to the edge of the opening. ”Air that flows and wind that howls, come forth to my aid.” The air seemed to gather in the palm of his hand and form into a translucent green sprite. She hovered over Kyrin’s palm and looked around expectantly.

Pointing to the three that were just entering the small opening Kyrin spoke to the sprite. ”Stop them and clear out the crowd please. They can’t be allowed to escape.” The sprite looked at the three thugs, and without a moment of hesitation she zipped over the heads of the crowd quickly. To the naked eye it looked like a stream of green light. As she flew Kyrin sidestepped into the crowd to the right and sprinted forward. He moved faster than his frame suggested, almost going twice as fast as a normal person.

Kaleb watched as the men walked away and a knot instantly tied itself in his stomach. He knew he had to take them out, he looked over to his partner who had confirmed moments earlier he felt the same way.”I’ll stop them. Can you take on one or two without involving innocent people?” Kyrin said to Kaleb. Kaleb just smirked at him then turned back to face the enemies once more.

"I call dibs on the big one."With that kaleb was off sprinting towards the men who had just left. He circled around them snaking his way through the crowd so he was now in front of them, He looked at them a cold soul piercing glare, "Sorry boys, But i'm not gonna let you get back to your boss."The men just snikered at him,

"Yeah right squirt like you could even stop us." The tall one said to kaleb as he stepped forward and switched to a more offensive stance. Kaleb only replied with a grunt and gritted his teeth still giving the man a piercing glare. The other two men stepped up behind him and continued to snicker. Then Kaleb saw something fly towards the men then it got behind them and stopped, he looked back past it only to see kyrin snaking through the crowd much like he did only moments earlier. Kaleb simply smirked at the three thugs,

"Looks to me like you boys have got yourself stuck between a rock and a hard place." Kaleb said motioning to kyrin and the green spirit using his head."How about it ya big loaf, are you all talk or can you actually fight?" Kaleb said to the big man with a sadistic smirk draped a crossed his face. With that the big man raised his hand in anger and charged at kaleb emitting a mighty roar.

Kyrin watched Kaleb snake through the crowd in the opposite direction. He pulled back a bit to let the young mage get ahead, even though he wanted to move as fast as he could. It was best to let the other mage take the attention, as Kyrin wasn’t really built for combat. His magic on the other hand….

He held back a bit as Kaleb got in front of the three; stopping them by standing his ground. It was obvious that they didn’t consider the young mage to be a problem, and in most cases that might be true. If he was alone that is. He stopped a few feet behind as Breeze hovered above. She obviously was waiting to receive instruction from her master.

At the nod from Kaleb, Kyrin ran through the scenario in his head. These three didn’t seem like mages, but that didn’t mean anything. Right now he and Kaleb didn’t look like mages either. When the bigger of the men stepped forward it solidified Kyrin’s impression of them. That and he didn’t feel any magical energy from them. He watched the exchange between Kaleb and the bigger man, as the crowd seemed to pull away from the inevitable fight.

When Kaleb provoked the bigger man Kyrin knew he had to act fast. ”Breeze! Under and through!” As the man stepped forward to engage Kaleb; Breeze flew straight down in front between the man and Kaleb. She then flew right under the man’s descending foot, causing him to step right on her. With her added momentum the man’s foot flew out behind him, clipping one of the other two in the shin. The second man let out a cry of pain, and the third looked around in surprise. Breeze drifted onto Kyrin’s shoulder as the crowd immediately vacated the area.

The first man was off balance; the second was hopping on one foot, and the third looked back at Kyrin with confusion. In Kyrin’s opinion this was the best way to start a fight. Your opponent off balance, in pain, and dumbfounded.

Kaleb watched as his opponent charged at him, But then the large man started to fall almost as if he had been tripped, He then realized that it was kyrins doing. Kaleb smirked and met the mans falling face with a swift knee. The man recoiled in pain covering his face with his large hands, Kaleb knew better than to let off if his opponent was hurt it was now time to act so he lunged at the man delivering an elbow directly into his stomach. This infuriated the large man, "You're gunna get it now little man!" The large man said running towards kaleb once more this time kaleb side stepped him and the man fell square on his face. The man got back to his feet and turned around and kaleb met him with a right hook square to the face then a left jab to his stomach, The man responded with a front kick right to Kalebs sternum knocking him backwards.

"I've had fun playing with you I think its time i finish things." Kaleb said to the large man and he raised his hand in the air,"Heavenly Halberd!"Light from all around formed in kalebs hand and formed a spear shaped weapon capable of dealing damage to his opponent. The mans eyes got wide,

"I didn't know you were a wizard!" the big man said, But kaleb didn't bother answering him as he ran towards the man hitting him with his spear of light square in the gut which knocked him back, But kaleb didn't let up he continued his assault on the man this time grabbing it with both hands and coming down straight on top of the mans head which knocked him on his hands and knees. Kaleb stood above the man,

"It wasn't smart of you to oppose me like you did." With that kaleb brought the spear up and plunged it into the man who fell onto is stomach unconscious, then kaleb turned around to see how his partner had been doing.

The third man finally shook himself out his stupor and rushed Kyrin; the second one turning around to see what drew the man’s attention. Kyrin easily sidestepped the second man’s swing as Breeze flew off his shoulder. With Breeze he moved almost twice as fast as the man before him, and it was easy to avoid the obvious attacks. He spoke quickly to his summon. ”Deflect and open!”

Usually Kyrin would stay behind and let his summons fight for him. He didn’t really have any combat training, mostly it was avoiding attacks. But with Breeze flying around he could move faster than normal. He was always faster than the average person, but with Breeze he was even faster. And his own fists was enough to deal with this guy.

Breeze flew between the two combatants in a crisscross of motion. She moved fast enough that she only appeared as a ribbon of green light, and the second man didn’t seem to pay attention. He tried to strike Kyrin in the head with a straight thrust. As the blow flew towards Kyrin Breeze nudged it slightly to the right as Kyrin dodged to the left. It barely missed the young mage as Kyrin followed with his own punch to the head. The second man was stunned long enough for Kyrin to strike at the man’s middle. The man doubled over in pain and Kyrin thought the fight was over. Until he felt a blow that left his head ringing.

The third man was over his surprise, and decked Kyrin in his blind spot. The force of the blow was enough to throw him to the side, and Breeze stopped to look in surprise and worry. Looking up he saw the second man slowly recovering, and the third was walking past him towards Kyrin. Kyrin looked up to see Breeze floating above him worried. ”Breeze, blow and break.” The summon just nodded with a smile.

She flew in a tight circle above Kyrin’s head to pick up speed; her wings gathering wind energy as she flew. The two thugs stopped in their tracks looking at the sprite in curiosity. At the end of her loop the wind elemental sped towards the two in a quick motion, pulling her wings into a corkscrew. The motion caused her wings to funnel the wind energy and create a wind stream that kicked up debris. It hit the two men as the wind elemental flew right between them, causing them to pull back a bit to shield their eyes as they were pelted.

Once the wind passed they opened their eyes hesitantly to see Breeze floating before them. With a smile she detonated. A blast of wind energy caught them off guard, and even though it was a weak blast it knocked the second man off his feet. The third one stood, looking pissed at Kyrin who was sitting on the ground grinning.

Kaleb finished up dealing with the large man and he couldn't help but snicker a little, "I knew you were no match for me, I tried to warn ya." Then Kaleb decided to turn around and see how his partner had been fairing. So he turned around just in time to see Kryin hit the man first in the head which put him in under shock then deliver another blow directly in his middle. He couldn't help but smile he knew he made a good choice in partners for this job. But then the third man decided to play dirty and he caught Kyrin straight in the side of the head and this infuriated Kaleb, How dare this man sucker punch his friend, He would pay for it. Kaleb started walking towards the combatants but before he could reach them he saw what kaleb could only assume to be a spirit of some sort spinning around Kyrins head the whipping up a tremendous winds almost as if he was in a storm. So kaleb covered his eyes with his jacket and proceeded towards Kyrin. When he got to him the two men were looking at kyrin with very angry looks on there faces.

"You're going to get it now boy there are two of us and only one of you." Then he and the other man lunged at Kyrin but kaleb jumped in front of him meeting the one with a fist to the gut while head butting the other square in the jaw. both men fell square to there butts,

"Don't you know that hydras have more than one head?" He said to the two men looking down at them. He turned around and reached a hand out to Kyrin, "I think it's time we finish these two off sound good, partner?

Kyrin figured he might have been a little too cocky in dealing with the two men. Sure it was easy to beat non-magic users when you yourself had magic, but it was another if they were physically stronger than yourself. They had taken everything he threw at them, and still they were ready for more. He was about to scamper backwards to get away as they came at him, but then Kaleb was there.

The young man struck one hard in the stomach, and the other one he headbutted. Both want down hard on their butts, and the one who took Kyrin’s earlier blows slumped to his side and passed out. The other looked stunned holding his stomach, obviously the wind knocked out of him. Kyrin took Kaleb’s hand and stood up.

He then looked at the one that was still conscience. ”I think we did enough. They aren’t going to be running off to tell their boss.” He grimaced at how efficient they were at knocking these three senseless. He rubbed the side of his head, wincing slightly at the bruised cheek. Maybe they didn’t hit them hard enough. But before he did something he regretted the man spoke in a pained breath. ”You think you won? Wait till the boss gets a hold of you.”

Calmly Kyrin kneeled down until he was level with the man and stared him in the eyes. The man shifted uncomfortably, and Kyrin spoke in a quiet voice. It was clear, but quiet. And cold. ”We are going to your boss. We are going to find him, and we are going to make sure he does nothing to stop this wedding.” His voice became even more cold and emotionless, after all this man was a stranger. Kyrin was always emotionless with strangers. ”You will stay here with your friends. You will not move until all three of you can stand up unaided. And then you will leave the Rose Garden and get honest work.”

The expressionless look on Kyrin’s face and the emotionless way he spoke seemed to make the man extremely nervous. He will need to remember that next time. ”A-and i-if I don’t?” This time Kyrin let a smile creep on his face. It was emotionless as his voice. ”You will see what I can do with earth.” He pointedly looked at the ground beneath the man who gave a little jump. He then nodded vigorously and Kyrin stood.

Now that he was sure the man won’t move anytime soon he turned to Kaleb with a genuine smile. ”I think we’re done now. Let’s head to Spooky Square.” And with that he turned from the man still sitting. The whole thing was a bluff. He had no power over the earth, at least not the way he hinted. But there was some benefit to his awkward interaction to strangers.

Kaleb watched the exchange between his partner and the man laying on the ground, He loved watching the man squirm while Kyrin was intimidating him. Kyrin stood up and looked at Kaleb giving him a smile that Kaleb knew was genuine, . ”I think we’re done now. Let’s head to Spooky Square.” Kaleb smirked and placed his hands in his pockets.

"Sounds like a plan, Just be ready for anything this scumbag might throw at us, okay?" Kaleb said with a genuine smile creeping on his face. He knew Kyrin was ready for anything. He could tell by the way Kyrin had handled himself against the other two men. So kaleb turned sideways and motioned his head towards the Spooky Square showing Kyrin he intended going that way. He finsished turning around and started walking towards the square. It was quite busy so he had to snake his way through the crowd yet again, As he was nearing the square he bumped into a young boy who seemed to be no older then nine or ten. The young man looked up at him with a huge smiled,

" You guys are so cool! I watched you beat up those jerks back there you are so strong." The young boy said to Kaleb and Kyrin. Kaleb just chuckled and placed his hand upon the boys head and said,

"Thanks bud, But it was nothing really, Just something us Infinity Hydra wizards do best."Kaleb said to the young boy. Kaleb looked down and the young boy was as pale as a ghost and his eyes were the size of saucers and filled with terror as he cast his gaze behind Kaleb and Kyrin. Kaleb turned around to see what the boy was looking at.

'Monster Dice' :

Kyrin looked down at the young man before turning his gaze behind him. Right into the oncoming fist of a skinny man with a hooked nose. The blow threw Kyrin a few feet backwards onto the paved square they were standing in. Again the people were gone; the usual crowd giving way to other two men who strode forward. One was average looking, sporting a faded scar on his right cheek. The other was big and stocky, with large meaty hands that looked very strong. His nose looked bulbous, as if he had been punched repeatedly in that one spot.

Kyrin looked towards the boy who had stopped them to tell him to run, but the child was already running. Around to hide behind the three men coming towards them. Kyrin just groaned as he rolled to a sitting position and looked up. They obviously considered him to be the weaker target since they now turned their whole attention on Kaleb. To them he was down.

Down, but not out. He placed his hand on the paved stones and felt around till he could touch the dirt leading to the ground underneath. He spoke in a casual voice, but the men didn’t care. They ‘knew’ who was the more dangerous one was. ” Let the bones of the earth come together, and form a protector to defend me from my enemies.”

A small rumbling and cracking of stone came from around his hand, and he winced at each crack in hopes that no one would notice….

After Kyrin was blindsided by the man this officially made kaleb angry, "You are going to get it now, You should never have hurt my friend" With that kaleb closed his eyes and tilted his head towards the ground,"Heavenly Rapture!" Kaleb yelled his eyes flying open and a heavenly light encasing him. Before the men could realize what was happening kaleb closed the distance between the striking the one who had blind sided kyrin straight in the face sending him flying then catching the one next to him in the stomach with a round house kick straight to the chest flattening him out. Kaleb then stood back up casting a glare down at the man who had struck his friend. He began walking towards him but the man started moving away his jaw trembling in fear, Kaleb grabbed the man by his collar picking him straight up so that only his toes were touching, He then slammed the man downwards but before he could hit the ground he met him with another kick to the ribs sending the man backwards yet again. Before Kaleb could continue his torture to the man on the ground another goon decided to join in. So the man ran up to the side and cracked him in the side of the head, This shocked Kaleb but infuriated him even more so as he was falling to the ground he caught himself with his hands and stood back up straight, a little wobbly but he wouldn't let that stop him. He turned to face the man and he launched himself at the man striking him directly in the face with his elbow.

Spell Used:

The paving stones besides Kyrin erupted in a small shower of dirt and stone. It caused all of the square to become quiet, save for maybe Kaleb beating up on the thugs. Out of the ground rose a large dome that took the form of a large creature made of dirt and stone. With a small shake of his body the loose dirt fell to reveal a detailed turtle that stood 4ft tall. It looked around the square lazily until it turned it’s attention on Kyrin.

Kyrin looked to the three thugs that now stood. Well two stood, and the first that attacked was still crawling away barely breathing. But he was breathing, so that was a good sign. Sort of. Kyrin’s jaw still hurt from the sucker punch. But he nodded to the three men and spoke in a steady voice. ”They probably want to kill me.” Spike’s face immediately went from lazy to alert, and a dangerous light appeared in the dark crystal eyes.

Without a word it leapt onto the man struggling to crawl away, driving the full force of its weight onto the man’s back. This winded him even further and he crumpled to the ground unmoving. Without a moment’s hesitation spike rolled into the legs of the third man who was coming up behind Kaleb; throwing him off balance and onto the ground. With a smooth motion of coming out of the roll Spike stomped his right foreleg on the man’s hand. This pinned the man and caused him to let out a satisfying cry of pain. Only the really strong could lift Spike on a good day. The man’s half flailing with his other hand didn’t even phase the earth elemental, as Kyrin stood up.

Kaleb turned around just on time to see a large turtle take out a guy that had been sneaking up on him. Kaleb looked over to kyrin, "Thank you," but the moment was short lived because the man he had been fighting decided to come back at him for more, Kaleb turned and looked at him. The man hesitated for a second, that was a mistake. Kaleb lunged at the guy delivering a knee to the underside of his jaw. This sent the man falling backwards, "Do you boys want to continue with this beat down? If you do we can gladly continue" Kaleb said to the men on the ground while he cracked his knuckles. Kaleb walked towards the man crawling away on the ground once more and he hoisted him up,"What do you say? You want some more" the man that Kaleb was intimidating swallowed loudly and answered with a vigorous nod no. Kaleb dropped him on the ground and started to walk away but he then heard a voice from behind him,

"You think you're so tough don't you? Well you will have another thing coming once our boss gets his hands on you, especially now after all the trouble you've started," the man on the ground said to Kaleb. He stopped right in his tracks and pivotoed his body slowly. He looked down at the man giving him a piercing glare,

"I can only hope your boss comes out to play, in growing tired of all you pathetic weaklings who's only hope at injuring us is to blind side us, so this is my personal invatation to your boss, come and get us," with this the man looked up in terror and scurried up to his feet and started running towards the bosses hangout,"Make sure you tell him we are coming!" kaleb called out to the man as he ran off.

Kyrin took one last look at the three downed men, and then hurried over to the man that Spike still held. The man was seething; glaring at the large turtle that had his hand pinned. Kyrin stood over him looking down, a serious look on his face. ”Are you just going to stare? Get this bloody thing off me!”

With a sigh Kyrin hit the man in the back of the head, slamming the stunned face into the ground and knocking him out. He didn’t have time to deal with an idiot. With a shake of his head he dismissed Spike; who seemed to crumple into a pile of dirt and stone. Satisfied hurried on to catch up with Kaleb.

As they walked Kyrin began to think of his time in the guild. Besides Kaleb he didn’t really know anyone else. He met the guild master once, and met a few of the new people as they came to the guild. But other than that he didn’t really know any of the regular guild members. Except maybe Copy, but he wasn’t too sure about him either. Maybe it was time he moved on….

Looking up he saw some activity from the ‘hideout’ ahead. Looks like the man that escaped managed to inform his boss that they were coming, and the remaining members were starting to gather. As Kaleb continued to walk next to Kyrin he felt the his body begin to course with excitement. It wasn't every day that he got to fight a wizard so strong that people would follow him like puppy dogs, He knew this would be a tough fight be Kaleb didn't care those where his favorites. If this man was as strong as everyone made him to be he had to make sure to make use of one of his strongest spells that he cast awhile ago, He could feel the affects of it beginning to leave him, Kaleb didn't like this. He finally reached his destination, there standing in front of him was the man in question, the dreadful ex, He wore a smug expression over the chiseled features of his face. The man looked at Kaleb and Kyrin smirked and said ,"So you are the two that have been messing with my boys, You two are going to..." The man was cut off by Kaleb launching at him and hitting him once straight in the jaw with a jab then a second time kicking him in the stomach, the man flew back and hit the wall. Kaleb turned around looking at Kyrin in triumph,

"I knew he wasn't that strong, we had nothing to worry about." But Kalebs celebrations were cut short from a miniacle laugh coming from behind him, The Ex-Boyfriend stood up from the wall and dusted off his pants,

"You are going to regret that kid, You have now officially made me angry!"

Kyrin glanced at the retreating forms with a hesitant step. He’d stories of members of an organization backing off to let the boss deal with interlopers, but this was the first time he had seen it. Still it made him uneasy. At any time these hooligans could decide to take things into their own hands, or at least help their ‘boss’.

But it looked like they were holding to the silent command, so Kyrin turned his attention to the man himself. A tall man, taller than even Kyrin, and muscular. Short cropped brown hair with brown eyes and tanned skin, Kyrin could see why the bride was afraid of him. He didn’t look like someone Kyrin would meet in a dark alley.

He started speaking, but the man spoke first and Kaleb attacked. The man went flying and crashing into the opposite wall, and Kyrin could only watch in shock. Kaleb was nuts. He knew the young man was more than eager to fight, but he didn’t expect him to be this reckless.

He shook his head and turned his attention to his guildmate, in an effort to chastise him, when he heard the laugh. A small chill went down his spine as he saw the man stand up and dust himself off. He didn’t even look particularly hurt. But he did look pissed. ”My turn.”

Before Kyrin could react the ex pointed at him as a magic circle appeared. A small curse came from his lips, as Kyrin was flung backwards to hit the wall like the ex. The impact almost knocked his breath away, as he almost crumpled to the floor.

Holding his hand out to the air he tried to speak. ”Air that flows and wind that…” Before he could say any more a trashcan came hurtling at him from the ex. A small cry escaped his lips as he rolled to the side to avoid it. He can’t summon anything if he can’t speak, and it looked like the ex wasn’t going to give him the chance to. He just hoped Kaleb was having better luck.
