GRACE UNDER FIRE
For once in her life, Sorano had no ideas of what to do. It wasn’t as if she’d never been unsure now, but certainly she had never been so utterly blank and clueless as to what would happen next. Her mind reeled, the normally organized shelves of careful thoughts having collapsed into disrepair, an utter mess no matter how you looked at it. The girl looked quietly out at the row after row of suddenly alien tables, wondering if things really were the way they were. Her mind found itself remembering back to that moment, only a few days after she had turned fourteen years old.
Kanix, the mother of faeries almost always held a serious and stern expression in her face, one suitable for the motherly figure she was for the members of the guild Fairy Tail. She was revered and loved by the rowdy faerie children, having helped them through the rough transition from carefree life as legal mages into the danger-filled lifestyle of a dark guild. Yet, this one day, her normal hidden smile, the smooth contentment on her face was gone, and instead, worry shone through the lines of her forehead. The news she revealed next, there was no way the letter mage could possibly have prepared for it with all her resources. When Kanix had led her over to a table, and when she told the child what would happen, Sorano realized that it had never fully sunken in until now. Until Kanix really was gone. Until she would have to break the news of their beloved mother’s departure, and her new role in her newfound family. How was she supposed to go about this?
She raised her head, attempting a confident and proud expression. At least this was something she could do; stay fairly calm and controlled. No emotion could get to her, right? Things would go okay, at least for now. Acknowledging the support that Hoshi provided with a nuzzle of her shoulder, Sorano raised a finger, slowly tracing out the letters of a simple spell that would be all she needed at the moment. Deep breath in, deep breath out. Oh no, this was not going to be good. Even with this truth in mind, the letter mage raised her head determinedly, calling out an announcement to her guildmates. “Members of Fairy Tail! Please gather at the main tree for some important information!”
It was time to reveal their new guild master. She hoped it would be over soon.

- For those who haven't been informed yet, Kanix has given up her position of GM and is retiring her character Kanix. I'm the new GM now, and this is basically an IC meeting to tell everyone and to ask for any ideas or suggestions you guys have for the guild. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions ^^
