Iana was a nervous wreck. A meeting with Zenshin's friends. She had none, or rather no friends anymore ever since Meoru had vanished. She still had difficulties accustoming to the fact that there was literally no one around ever. It was no unpleasant feeling, but not a welcome one either. Iana now had complete solitude. Something completely new to her. Well, theoretically anyways. She was in her fourth month now and the bulge on her stomach had grown to quite the extent. Her pregnancy was obvious. And it bothered. Because ever since the incident on Pheonix Mountain, she had swore herself to start socializing as well as take care of the house for Zenshin since she lived literally rent free. And feeling like a freeloader was on her list of "things-I-have-done-in-the-past-and-will-stop-doing". However, her physical constitution due to the pregnancy had prevented her from being a significant help to Zenshin up until now. But somehow, it seemed like she was feeling better.
She had asked him a lot of questions about his friends, and ever since his proposal she realized that there was no one to be her bridesmaid. And actually only one person she could invite to her wedding. That was Ean, the barkeeper of Oak Town. The rest of people she knew was rather undesirable to deal with. Most of it company that she stuck around because of circumstance rather than friendship. And now, she was about to meet people whom Zenshin called friends. Humans, not some age old demons. Real people that were close to him and knew probably more about him than she did. She was scared, and quite frankly, intimidated by the idea. But in the end, it was due to herself that they were even coming over after permanently nudging Zenshin towards the idea of finally inviting them. Admitting that she actually wanted to meet them had not been a method to get him to do that though.
In any case, she was standing in the kitchen preparing tea, coffee and some snacks in a crumpled up t-shirt revealing her belly and some loose sweatpants. The moment anyone would knock, she had a sweater prepared to pull over head concealing her belly. It was late in the morning and the meeting was set up for noon. Zenshin was in his office doing some form of research. Having gotten up at 9, she was preparing herself and the house quite frantically to make everything seem nice and shiny. She didn't want to make a bad first impression, so having showered, eaten and tidied up the whole of the living room, kitchen and bathroom, and even the bedroom for some reason, this was one of the days she had worked around the house the most. And it had seemed to pay off because it was indeed looking quite fresh now. Finishing the beverages and snacks, she placed them all on the living room table and slumped down on a chair starting to stroke her belly. She already felt exhausted and it was quiet around the house by now. Everything had been prepared and now Iana waited for the knocking on the door.
