(Please just read the last paragraph if you don't want to read it all, it's pretty much just plot stuff and quite boring xD)
A red-headed mage could be seen walking down the streets of Magnolia, smiling from ear to ear. It was as if she had left yesterday. Everything felt right here. It felt familiar; she was going home to Fairy Tail after all, the guild she had both led and followed for so many years. Her smile was infectious, filling the room with that warm kind of energy no-one could extinguish. She turned, picking up her partner, a small space creature that had just taken her on one of her greatest adventures of her life. They had travelled to a new galaxy, one that Ebony didn’t even know existed. It was rare that Ebony did not know of a galaxy, let alone not been to it. Perks of being a spatial mage she guessed. The creature, Atlas, had the power to travel through galaxies and to new planets, a gift he had and wanted to share with her, so she had agreed to accompany him. “What an adventure, hey Atlas?”, she said giving him an innocuous look. The space creature smiled, pushing into her chest as she held him tightly. He nodded quickly, quite aware of the familiar sounds of Magnolia that filled their ears and the smell of burnt timber and crackling fires that surrounded them, reminding them of home. It was the same path, the same sky, and the same town. She was glad she was back, but she couldn’t shake off the feeling at the bottom of her stomach that something wasn’t quite right. All the windows were shut. Nobody seemed to be on the streets anymore – and she wondered why.
Ebony and Atlas stood in front of a familiar building. It was a place where she once thought she belonged. The only place where she had ever belonged. The Fairy Tail Guild. It seemed darker than she remembered; out of place almost. The windows were shut, the gates were closed and nobody could be seen to be around. A curious expression could be seen on Ebony’s face as she looked at her pet. Is it just me or does something not feel right? Ebony quickly ran fowards, panic in her eyes as she opened the front gate by force, unaware that lock inside was broken. Running up the familiar stairs she reached the door, pushing it open softly, an eerie noise escaping from its insides. There was no light to be seen inside the building, and no sounds could be heard from the once lively guild. There was no-body here. She walked inside slowly, placing her hand gently on the familiar stone walls, walking up and down the dust-filled hall. “What happened here…” she said out-loud, afraid that if she didn’t say anything she would lose her composure completely. Her voice seemed to break as she spoked the last word, this wasn’t what she thought she had returned to. She was frightened; unaware that her guild had moved far away from Magnolia, and far away from Fiore itself.
As she walked out of the front of the building she held the side of the wall, her eyes fixed upon a small section of pavement on the floor. Her left hand was clenched into a small fist; her body looked stiff, paralysed almost as she fell to her knees. She reached up, trying to hold herself but her legs gave way. She tried to fight back the tears that were forming around the edges of her crimson eyes - but how could she? She just sat there silently as small tears fell down the side of her face. It was strange how she knew they weren’t coming back. It was as if she knew that something terrible had happened, for it felt like someone pierced a blade through her heart and left a permanent scar there. Here, Fairy Tail, the most powerful guild in Fiore lay abandoned.
The girl could be seen kneeling in front of the former guild building, her head hanging low, her hands holding her face. She looked broken; defeated in the afternoon light. As if everything she had ever loved had been taken away from her. Only a small white and blue creature was sitting beside her; comforting her as dark clouds seemed to pass overhead menacingly, prowling the sky like some sort of dark osprey searching for its prey. It was an omen, a warning almost, that the bad had suddenly come to balance out the good in her life. For the first time in forever, it felt as if part of her was missing. As if the tattoo on her shoulder had switched off, unable to be turned on again.
She looked up at Atlas, his eyes reflecting her own emotions. As if on cue the small creature turned into his large form, his wings outstretched, waiting for her to follow. She nodded slowly, picking herself off the ground as she walked towards him, climbing on his back. She really did look awful. He raced into the sky, following the stars to nowhere. Thunder surrounded them, but they didn’t care. She needed to get out of this place. She wanted to go home, to Fairy Tail, but she didn’t know where they were.
And so they flew. They flew far away, out of Fiore even, to a place known as the Kingdom of Navrick. Here the people didn’t ask questions, and it was easy enough to hide her identity from this mundane world. It was so different than what she was used to, but she adjusted accordingly. Mundane life wasn’t so bad, although Atlas was hidden most of the time, collecting information for Ebony mostly. Here Ebony researched what had happened to her guild, and tried to figure out how to find them.
Ebony’s eyes were fixed upon the information in front of her. She had created a large wall, covered in red string and pins which held all of her research together. She had pin-pointed several locations the guild could have fled to if they had been attacked, as well as various bits of info on a few of her guildmembers. She reached for one of the pieces of paper as she shut her eyes quickly, hiding her emotions. She breathed in deeply, reading it once again. There was a picture of Heero, one of her best friends in Fairy Tail. She had heard he was killed during the battle, and left their daughter parent-less. She shook her head silently, still picturing the little 10 year old she saw a year ago. Atlas’s voice echoed through her head, Ebony… It’s been almost a month, maybe they don’t want to be--Ebony lifted her hand in the air, “They left because the Magic Council has now deemed them a dark guild. Surely they would’ve left some type of clue for members to return to. For us to return to!” She thrust her fist onto the table, leaving a dent in the hard mahogany. Closing her eyes for a moment she felt her heart beating unusually fast, please… please help me find my way back home.
A bright light filled her vision, it seemed to radiate from behind her. She turned her head slightly, her eyes brightening as she could see the Fairy Tail symbol on her back shining. It seemed to come alive, a magical energy she knew all too well. She smiled, unaware of the Fairy Tail symbol moving in front of her. It seemed to pulsate quickly, a bright light filling the room she and Atlas stood in. It was beautiful, and it would guide her.
She raced out the door, grabbing her backpack with all of her belongings in it. Atlas trotted behind her, hot on her heels as she light reached up, heading into the sky. “Quick, Atlas! We need to follow it!”, she yelled, clearly excited as she jumped up and down on the spot. The space creature sighed, stretching his wings as Ebony climbed onto his back. Flying into the sky, a familiar warmth embodied her. She felt almost, happy, like the old Ebony.
The light climbed into the sky, ascending into the heavens as Atlas followed. “Quickly! Quickly!”, Ebony yelled as the light settled into the sky. It looked like a star almost, fitting in with the midnight sky. She knew these stars, she knew where they would take her. The location of the light glistened as Ebony closed her eyes for a moment, trying to use all of her knowledge to figure out where this light was trying to take her. A red aura could be seen around her as she looked up into the sky. “It's ok Atlas, stop flying, I know where they are.”

She felt uneasy standing there in front of the new Fairy Tail Guild, would they let her back after being gone for so long? She would have never thought they’d be in another town let alone on another planet! She’d remembered taking a few of her guildmembers to different galaxies before, but she never thought they’d actually live on one. She took a deep breath in, calming herself before she realised the millions of questions she was going to get bombarded with. Where had she been? Why didn’t she come back? Is she going to stay? Well, she wasn’t going to find out what happened by standing outside all day. She reached for the door, pressing her hands on it quickly so it would open. She tried to smile as she waved one hand awkwardly, “Hello…”
