It has been a while since Leila last met up with Jiyu. After they went through the trouble of freeing the Gardens of Eden from the clutches of a dark curse that plagued the goddess, both girls kinda went their separate ways for a while. But now, they were to tackle on some problems again, this time in the form of more disappearing mages and such. Which instantly forced flashbacks of the land of Youkais into the young girl's mind, a place that she would rather eradicate from her memory completely as she did not enjoy the experience in the slightest. It was long and filled with a lot of creatures that wanted her dead. Not to mention the... incident that prevented all peaceful talk once she finally got the the stronger demons.
Shaking her head around, she dismissed the thoughts of that placed and looked up onto the night's sky. Seriously, why were they doing this at night? They were visiting a haunted guild that was presumably slaughtered decades ago! Middle of the night was just about the worst time of the day they could be tacking this task. But the dark presence was the strongest at this hour, so that was the real reason behind this soon to be insane adventure. With a sigh, Leila moved her hand through the silver hair that adorned her head, blinking few times as her clear blue irises shone through the darkness. She was sitting on a rock, seemingly completely alone for now. Her company did not yet arrive.
And it wasn't only Jiyu that would be coming either. Another member of Golden Phoenix was tasked to help with this as well. In all honesty, Leila thought that sending three magics to one place was a little bit of an overkill, but one does not go against the magic council when they give an order. So here was hoping that the tree of them would at least manage to get the task done swiftly and go home early to catch some sleep. Thinking about it now, the silver-haired maiden realized that she didn't really know much about Summer, even though they were part of the same guild. She really wasn't the best of Aces as it appeared, it was unfortunate. Perhaps she should try to do something to actually earn the spot after they were done here.
And if nothing else, she should at least get to know another guildmate on this job. But for now, there was something else that would help scare away the loneliness. The bag that was on the rock right behind Leila started wiggling slightly before a shining, fluffy creature jumped out of it, quickly familiarizing itself with the environment. And once that was done, it jumped right into the girl's arms, as if wanting a hug. She really didn't spend much time with Ori these days, so she took him on this job even though she probably should not have. Well, nothing she could do about it now, so she just started stroking his fur with affection behind every small movement, letting the creature purr in pure bliss.
